Yousei Teikoku (妖精帝國, literally “Fairy Empire”) is a Japanese duo with techno, trance, gothic, heavy rock, and symphonic influences. They consist of “fairy” vocalist/occasional lyricist YUI (ゆい) and composer Takaha Tachibana (橘尭葉). Through music, Yousei Teikoku is attempting to revive the Fairy Empire that exists between the human world and the spiritual realm known as Spiritua. Yousei Teikoku presents a visual image with gothic style as its core. “Gothic” and “empire” are keywords in their musical concepts. TEAM FAIRITHM has come together to produce this musical revolution.
The duo has four indies albums (Momo no Hane, Momo no Mori, Shikou no Momo, stigma), one major label best-of album (GOTHIC LOLITA PROPAGANDA), one mini-album (metanoia), and eight singles (Ashita wo Yurushite, Senketsu no Chikai, Noble Roar, Valkyrja, Shijun no Zankoku, Schwarzer Sarg, Hades: The bloody rage, weiβ flugel). A second best-of album, GOTHIC LOLITA DOCTRINE, was released in august
Many of their songs have tie-ups with various anime series (Renkin 3-kyuu Magical? Poka~n, Innocent Venus, Venus Versus Virus) and video games (My-Otome). Tachibana also composed the My-HiME video game soundtrack.

Because the videos are focused mainly in the singer, many people thinks that this is a solo project. WRONG, is a duo. their music is very cool, i like how they can go from cute to dark in a blink... and Yui voice is hella good, i have no doubt that everything is created to fit her voice.
By the way, this TEAM FAIRITHM have another group (as far as i know) called Denki Shiki Karen Ongaku Shuudan(denkare) that mostly created music for hentai videogames. I have no clue if they are still doing shit but what i can tell is that the singer of them sounds like Yui... maybe is her :O2
