If someone could please please please find me a Moriyama Aiko album (preferable with Koizake on it) I would be SOOOOOOOOOOO greatful. I haven't had any luck finding anything by her but there seem to be a generous amount of good enka links here so I thought I'd give it a shot

Thanks for posting a link for Kaori Mizumori's ひとり薩摩路 record.

However, the password that is listed for the .rar archive (okaoka) does not work!

Could you please post to let us all know what the correct password is?

This is the song that Sayuri Ishikawa performed as the final singer from the Red Team last night at the 62nd NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen last night. This is not the actual performance, because I haven't found a clip on YouTube with good sound quality. But it is a beautiful song, and Sayuri was magnificent.

Ah, I've been looking for this, a shame it's just filmed off the screen.
This was my favorite performance from this years Kouhaku.
I bet it's not up long though as Kouhaku vids get taken down very fast.

Yuming was magnificent indeed, and everyone joining her on stage and in the audience was very moving....it was a great Kouhaku.....

A local television critic for the Daily Yomiuri , who writs as Wm. penn, wrote this:

Happy New Year! In an effort to start this year off right, Televiews begins with some praise. NHK's 62nd Kohaku Uta Gassen (Red and White Year-end Song Festival) was the best I've ever witnessed--and I've been around since the 33rd. The decision to add more singers was wise, and the performers' careful choice of appropriate songs allowed the whole thing to roll right along at a tasteful yet brisk pace.

Even though the New Year's Eve show was 15 minutes longer in 2011 than in 2010, it seemed to be over in no time and, believe me, I've never said that about the kohaku before. Nor did I wake up the next morning with even a tinge of the usual post-kohaku migraine.
