Looking good! Can't wait :w00t:

But I do hope they do something with A Feast For Crows because it's my least favourite book thus far. Haven't read A Dance With Dragons yet but seeing as each book is split to focus on certain characters I can only imagine they'll both be merged into 1 or 2 seasons. You can't make a whole season and not have Dany in it!!

I'm definitely behind in reading them. Gotta get the next three before the new season. Sadly, I'm one of the few that hasn't seen it.

By the way, Atlus is making a Game of Thrones game coming out next February.

Interview with Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) on set filming for S2

Also some details (finally!) on the DVD boxset!

Quote
After much wait, the highly anticipated release date of Game of Thrones: The Complete First Season on DVD & Blu-ray has finally been revealed.

On March 6, 2012, the first installment of George R. R. Martin’s epic tale of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros will be making its way to home video, with a listed price of $79.98 for Blu-ray and $59.99 for DVD.

Included in the release will be all 10-episodes from the first season of Game of Thrones (seven of which will include audio commentaries), a 30-minute “Making Game of Thrones” featurette, a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the series’ memorable opening title sequence, plus many more.

For those that option for the 1080p Blu-ray release of Game of Thrones, you’ll find four additional extras not available on DVD. On top of an exclusive guide to Westeros (a slimmer version will be available on DVD), the high-def release will also include “Anatomy of an Episode,” which will provide an in-episode experience for viewers to see how they made the memorable sixth episode, “A Golden Crown.”

"...and this, apparently she stole off of a dead person, so... if you wanna get Arya's look, there you go."

Oh, Maisie...

By the way, Atlus is making a Game of Thrones game coming out next February.

Bad news is that the game is developed by Cyanide, who also developed the underwhelming first Game of Thrones video game, Genesis... so I'm not exactly getting my hopes up.

Finally got the chance to watch the first episode. I'm...intrigued.

First impressions:
- I hate the Lannisters, except for Tyrion.
- Dany is hot.  :inlove: Her brother is a douche.
- inner geek is telling me I should learn Dothraki.

Maybe after watching 2 or 3 more episodes I'll think about going to a Barnes & Noble bookstore in the city and read a few pages of the first book before I decide to buy a copy.

2 chapters to read tonight and I'll be up to 200 pages. I've been reading GoT for 5 days.  :panic:

With the Struggle going on, I could probably finish both books and maybe a bit of Book 3 by the end of the month.

I need a life.  :nervous

I really need to start reading!

^ The first season was all about the first book. Season two starts off with the second book.

So far I've read the equivalent of the first two episodes. Just need to read a Daenerys chapter and a Bran chapter tonight before I go to sleep.

Decided to geek out a bit and got myself an early xmas present: The Game of Thrones card game core set. Being a recovering MTG-junkie, anything similar combined with A Song of Ice and Fire mythos was just too hard to resist. Also I've mainly read good things about it so, yeah, why not.

Plays 2-4, core set has enough stuff for four, with 4 house decks (Stark, Lannister, Baratheon, Targaryen) and 2 evil teaser cards for houses Greyjoy and Martell. It's sort of a collectible card game, but cards have no rarities and decks can be simply expanded from monthly expansion packs. So while there's a ton of cards you CAN buy, you'll always get what you want.

Here's the game entry at Boardgamegeek. You can also watch the intro vid on Fantasy Flight Games website with thorough explanation on the gameplay.

Art's a bit of a mixed bag, some cards look amazing, some are quite plain. Overall it's at least functional.

Some card examples (click to enlarge slightly):

~1:15 mark: Gods!!  :shocked  The Hound....he smiled....at the camera.

A week after buying Book 1, I'm halfway through. Might finish before Christmas, maybe Christmas Eve.
