Eri is one of the finest talents in Japanese films and television. Having entered the world of entertainment at age 13, when winning the "Miss Harajuku Grand Prix" and appearing in her first film two years later (1999年の夏休み / Summer Vacation 1999 - the film released in 1988), she also was a pop singer early in her career. But luckily for her fans, she concentrates full time on acting, and has many memorable performances in a variety of films and dramas. Stay tuned to this spot for more!!

The one thing of her's that needs to be seen is this drama: Sora Kara Furu Ichioku no Hoshi, one of the best and most intense dramas ever, gotta admit it was one of the most addicting shows you'll ever see,

won the best drama of the year for 2002 among it's many awards.... and Eri has never looked better, she really really did.

DA gives a much better synopsis than I could:

The story opens after a young female student kills herself by jumping off a balcony. It's soon discovered that she was in fact stabbed, and the room arranged to make it look like a suicide. And so we begin. A few minor details lead Detective Kanzo (Akashiya Sanma) to suspect that Ryo (Kimura Takuya), an enigmatic chef's assistant, knows more about her death.The two have run into each other by chance a few times, and each time left Kanzo with an uncomfortable feeling. Every clue that is revealed seems to lead to more questions about Ryo, his obsessive girlfriend, his callous and manipulative relations with several women, and about a painful memory from Kanzo's past. Things get more complicated when a powerful love/hate relationship develops between Ryo and Kanza's little sister, the beautiful Yuko (Fukatsu Eri). What exactly is their connection? As the evidence (and body count) rises, Kanza tries desperately to save his sister from Ryo's influence. He's no saint, but is he the Devil Kanza thinks he is? And why? The answers will floor you, even when you think you've got them figured out already.

^^ Takuya won the best actor award for that series but to me Sanma was the one who really carried the show,

can't believe Eri didn't win an award, she was super in it along with super kawaii.

for some reason i couldn't watch one million stars more than the first episode. somehow it gave a very dark feeling... Just how dark is it? can anyone gimme an opinion?
