NORWALK, Ohio - Hall was bitten by Oates in a Norwalk neighborhood, police say.

That’s Robert Oates, 48, charged with assault for allegedly attacking and then biting off a chunk of skin from above the eye of his neighbor, 40-year-old Scott Hall.

Police said the incident happened Monday at 10 a.m. when Hall was in the garage area of his home on the 13000 block of Arlington Road watching football games and his neighbor, Oates, along with his friend Ronald Mantz, 53, pulled into his driveway.

Hall confronted Oates and Mantz in the driveway, learning Oates was angry because Hall would not testify on his behalf in court regarding some type of underage consumption complaint, according to police.

From there, it got violent, police said, as Oates charged at Hall in “bull rush” manner, taking him down with the help of Mantz.

Hall tried fighting back but was bitten by Oates, leaving a chunk of skin missing and blood flowing from a wound, according to the police report. Hall told officers that the two men were intoxicated and then left the scene to head back to Oates’ home.

Officers described that Hall also suffered injuries to his right hand and abrasions to the right side of his face.

After talking to Hall, police said they went next door to the home of Oates. They said Oates resisted arrest and had to be tasered to allow the officers to gain control of him. Officers said they also took a resistant Mantz into custody and that both men were highly intoxicated and yelling.

Oates claimed to police that Hall swung at him first.

Both Oates and Mantz were charged with felonious assault, resisting arrest and obstructing official business and brought to Erie County Jail.

Yeah, the good people at Fark had a fun time with this one.

Let's just get these out of the way...
