It appears that in addition to being the Flag Officer for Naval R&D, Rear-Admiral Miyamoto Karin is also the unofficial counsellor for the junior officers serving in her former unit, even the Fleet:

Miyamoto Karin LIVE 2024 ~TWiNKLE~ 💜 Miyamoto-san was really concerned about me while I was on break, even though our active duty service with Juice=Juice did not overlap 🥺 She contacted me almost every day, and when I couldn't handle it alone, she gave me advice over the phone, and we met in person several times and she listened to me. When I talked to Miyamoto-san, my negative emotions turned into positive emotions without me realizing it, and she supported me a lot during the difficult times 😢 I was able to get away from work, maintain my mental health during my break, and get some sleep, all thanks to Miyamoto-san 😌☘ Miyamoto-san is kind, and it's because of her, Risachi worked hard! I can't thank him enough for saying that😭😭 I love you Miyamoto-san!! 💖

Sergeant Kawashima Mifu (active duty, Special Warfare):

I often keep in contact with Rear-Admiral Miyamoto, and when I told her I was going to quit because my condition wasn't improving, she took the Shinkansen to my house to talk to me. It would be a waste to quit now. She told me that I'm someone Juice=Juice needs, so I'll try my best. I'm here now thanks to Miyamoto-san.

First Lieutenant Okamura Homare also became a beneficiary of the Rear-Admiral's kindness, when she contacted the Musume aviator at a time when Homare was going through hearing loss and had to go on hiatus. These are the officers and members that has testified to Admiral Miyamoto's kindness, which Karin herself did not reveal in her personal logs. There may well be more souls that she has helped in the course of her career.
