Family note: Her father is Kenji Fukuda, who is a drummer in the band Kasutera.

Mayuko started off as a child actress, and has been working steadily since then. Played the younger version of actress Rena Takahashi's character in the 2008 film "10 Promises to My Dog" and Mayuko does have a resemblance to Rena.

If you look at when she was 14 and when Erika Toda was 14 you'd swear they were separated at birth,

try to dig some pics up.
Little DJ, though quite sad at times, was truly an enjoybale film, Mayuko really helped to make it that way.

Mayuko's character in Little DJ certainly added some needed cheer to balance out the sometimes very sad film. Little DJ was also a great source of 60's and 70's pop music, and was based on a novel, which was based on a true story. Fantastic youthful peformances by Mayuko and Ryunosuke Kamiki (as the little DJ).
Again fantastic supporting performances including that of the late Yoshio Harada as the doctor who encourages the young patient to set up an in hospital radio "best hits" show. Ken Ishiguro,Naomi Nishida, Ken Mitsuishi, and Yutaka Matsushige were also very important in the production. Kento Kaku played the son of one of the patients sharing a room with the little DJ- just finished watching TV series "Tumbling" in which Kento played Nippori, who was somewhat the comic relief of that series.
One more note- Mayuko's character was played as an adult by Ryoko Hirosue, so Mayuko once again is connected to another sempai actress.

If you are a fan of Japanese cinema, this is a film you will enjoy.

Short clip from 10 Promises to My Dog that's subbed, don't know if she won any awards for her performance but she deserved many, admit watching it mainly for Rena but have to admit Mayuko stole the show.

How long has she been around? Sure a few of you remember this old drama.

Sure a few of you remember the film L Change the World, solid effort though not as good as DN 2 but a really good role for Mayuko in it, guess I need to rewatch it again,

for these posts but think that's a good thing,

glad a thread for her was started because she really deserved one. What I like about her is that she's gotten popular because she's talented,

too many in her age range of 17-20 have to rely on doing swimsuit spreads and videos and most don't really make it big doing that, glad she hasn't gone that route, hard to find many around her age as talented and as a matter of fact many twice her age aren't nearly as talented, like her kind of photo shoots.

Keeps great company, even Rena raves about her....

The song was released by Japanese band Deen in 1994, and is called 瞳そらさないで / Hitomi Sorasanaide ("Please Don't Look Away" or more literally "Don't Avert Your Eyes").....
