When did you get into Morning Musume?Okay this will be a long post! Gomen! Hopefully you'll read it 'til the end
My first encounter with Morning Musume was in year 2000, there was this Jap-Fil cable channel that broadcasted Morning Musume's "Renai Revolution 21" every so often. My brother, cousin and I were astonished when we saw the PV - it's like wow! they are so many and they are all pretty, they have a creative/futuristic clothes and they have a cool song, but we didn't know them, so we just call it the "love revolution" song since it's one of the english words and it's in the chorus. We were always so happy everytime they played it on air. But that's it, we didn't have the chance to know them because internet connection was, in those days, scarce in our country and no one (if ever, only few) heard or knew something about J-Pop. The last time I saw their group was in the poster of a store near our high school. I still don't know their group's name.
So after we got our internet connection, I already forgot about them, I was already into PUFFY's music since it was always featured in one of the Japanese cable channel and I find their songs awesome. Then by 2007 I started to adore Chatmonchy, this is also the time when my cousin was playing "Joshi Kashimashi Monogatari" over and over in his computer and told me that it's the same group we saw in the year 2000, he said they are called Morning Musume, which I eventually forget. I don't know why, but it doesn't interest me eventhough I find them cute and I observed that they have more members. I was wondering what happened to the other members, it's just kind of weird for me. Then he showed me the unit Mini Moni and said that 3 of the members are also from Morning Musume, I thought it's crazy creating a new unit if they're still part of an existing and active group.
One day in 2008 out of boredom and so much time in my hand I started browsing YouTube, I stumbled upon "Ai Araba IT'S ALL RIGHT" video, I watched it but I was so overwhelmed by the cuteness of the PV, that I didn't even finished it. Left me wondering, who's who in the video and it will be amazing if someone really does know all their names. So I've decided that it's not my cup of tea.
Then in early 2009 I saw "Anataboshi" by chance, I was so captivated by Koharu Kusumi that I tried to search about Milky Way, got her name and I was stunned because I found out that she's part of Morning Musume (that group just keeps on popping up). But my fangirling on Koharu needs to be ceased even before it started due to my work.
Lastly by September 2009, I saw a video of Yoshizawa Hitomi, it's from a H!M skit, it was so funny even without a subtitle. I was enchanted by her and everything just followed, like a 'Domino Effect'. I've become a total fan of Morning Musume until now, I enjoyed their music, their personality and everything about them, I started to watch their concerts, random clips, news and listen to their music online. Being their fan certainly does add spice to my life.
To the question I asked myself before: That it will be amazing if someone know all their names.... - Well... Oh Yeah!!!!!!
