My DVD arrived today, just finished watching it~
Awesome as usual, especially with the extra random footage in between the performances. The different outtakes from the various venues was also a big treat. A big letdown compared to BLACK STAR LUSTER would be the setlist, I need me some more old school stuff like FRAGILE SILENCER and GUNSHIPRIDER. And they only showed the intro for POSTMODERN...
Well, I'm still fucking happy I bought it though. The backstage footage is made of lulz and wtf. :lol: Also, unrelated to the DVD, but the PV for TRAIN is awesome.

I have the same feelings as last year when I first listened to Dear Deadman, i.e mixed. Their recent stuff sounds too clean for me, and it's especially hard to compare Linear to the previous releases as it's a pretty experimentative album with the extra keyboards, electronica and semi-rap.
With that said, I guess it'll eventually grow on me like Dear Deadman did. BIRTHDAY is my favorite track so far.

I'm not sure what I think of it yet either. Most of the songs were too, soft, I guess. The additional electronic elements and that slow experimental sound take away the raw sound I actually prefer from them, but it's interesting. I wonder where they're heading with this.
Not to say I hate the sound, lol. Very un-Straightener to say the least. Just different from their usual stuff. It'll take me some time to get used to it, even though they've been kind of easing you into the general sound of the album with past singles.
AFTER THE CALM might be my favorite. A toss up between that and BIRTHDAY.

this record was made of the best, as each of the songs.
Unlike these artists or bands that extract an album where the only ones songs that sastifacen are the promotional ones and 1 or 2 you are afraid more, Straightener work gives us a fully enjoy 12 songs each.
The first two songs at the beginning are a sample of the good production
Now:
Listen "Prologue" is as if he were listening to a song from their first albums.
"kingmaker" and "Koori no kuni no Byakuya" reminds me of the sound of Fullarmor. have a kinship in sound, especially KnKnB.
"Cry" is great, lyrics, music and the way of singing of Horie ... and the bass!
From his old style to new. The band's last 2 albums demonstrates all that, but this last work is practically the most complete.
I forgot "Leap in the Dark" is a song of wonder like the others. And the promotional songs, these songs we all know how amazing they are

I thought that would be the only one of the band that would not do anything outside Straightener, and ends up appearing with Nobuo (ACIMAN: is a group that earlier this year to get started to like me so I can not stop listening now. Even I have a dvdrip) and Special Others.
There is no doubt that this year, this band was the best.
(if not at least give them an award for the 2 singles and the album this year, just say ... those in Japan are one..... for not appreciating what they have and go around giving awards to others who do things over and only serve as advertising and commercial image for a company, be it domestic or foreign [you know what I'm talking to foreigners]).

starting the year with new releases, and not the Nonstop STRAIGHTENER.
The first couple to be surprising Atsushi, his work with an album under the name of ENT Release: 2012/01/25. Desconosco if other musicians with him, because in one of the videos can only be heard but the piano and the profile of the site only aparese.
The disc aparese in the list of STRAIGHTENER-yet-unnamed-for we do not know if this would be their first or second job, the name comes from "enharmonic" and stand to have the same integrity that presents World's End Girlfriend in comparison to the piano or classical music.
Instead STRAIGHTENER Launches New DVD Release: 2012/02/29. The title is not yet published in CDJapan, bring 2 pairs discs and content to be what the "LONG WAY TO NOWHERE TOUR".

Curious things to say: Well, just that the characters in this video, the pictures seem to me to be an anime version of the band when dressed up for the video for "VANISH" at least 3 of the 4 are equal.
Another that is also amazing is that Jun and Shinpei cut their hair, even thought it was not -Shinpei- but that way to give the battery already defined.

Long wished to see and hear a single like this, with a good sound base (not that I did not like those of ajikan, but I must admit that I feel somewhat loose his last singles) and 10-FEET gave me his new album which is a SUPER WONDER, 10-FEET is another band that was anniversary this year and celebrate it with dignity, as he deserves a band of this size and a career-if not listen do it.
Returning to mention STRAIGHTENER, this anniversary year has been great for them being too; since from last year are releasing a great album, which seems to collect everything he learned in his long life as a band and friends, also from the January of this 2012 Atsushi released her second solo project, let alone Hinata and the group Nothing's Carved in Stone which has been able to provide two songs from his latest album, each for an anime different-and Shinpei last June and this year they also released a new album with his band another sunnyday-thanks to these two I can hear good rock with the great voice of Fumiaki Ito.
One can also say that they released a DVD which comes with 2 discs (a total of 38 tracks) that make this your best DVD so far. And do not forget also the first acoustic album of the band, is grandiosisimo, but I think there could be more issues, especially my favorites.
And now, after a not-so-long but not short-we bring this, their first single from 2012, just hope it is not the last of this year we will have them, because, as with me ajikan is impossible to remain long without knowing them.
Enjoy this new material which the first track is a clear demonstration that the sound is not limited, and the two issues that accompany sound splendidly as we keep listening to them their characteristic sounds of past albums.

Someone has the EMOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK 2 DVD? I saw the Vol. 1 on Jpopsuki but i think nobody shared the second volume this far. Maybe i check out who also delivers to my country from amazon japan.

I was interested in this DVD but now I want to get over the "Long Way To Nowhere Tour". I always end up buying other discs and not this.
You could try to buy it for CDJapan. I say this because of the ease of language.
Also if you have no credit card, you can find someone who will go to buy with it while you pay all expenses. It is the method I use to shop online.

I saw the music video for "Cinderella Song" and I must say that this great!
The video just came out this September 10th, the video is very good as is the song, this song brings a different sound and catchy, reminded me to songs like "train", "Little Miss Weekend" is more, I would say boys returned to resume the last sound they had when they were a trio. But it sounds much faster now be 2 guitars, the clearest example is that when you hear "Cinderella Story" my mind was remembering the album NEXUS.
On the DVD I can not say anything more than long wanted to come out, and be able to wait to buy it.
