MKB release their indie last year's song !

great for them to officialy release this as a single, but i really hoped for a new 2nd b-side song just to lure more people to buy. They could've easily added a remix or something. well, can't ask too much~

Melon Kinenbi has never had a Single V DVD for any of their singles. So I don't expect one now. They have got three Single V Clips collection DVDs, see http://wiki.theppn.org/Melon_Kinenbi#DVDs

I think re-arranging is more expensive. Re-recording's cheap! They can put the Pudding mix vocals on the original version and BAM! Instantly new Original ver!

While watching this video, it suddenly struck me why all this is happening at all. I guess I knew to some extent why, but it just struck me full force while watching the video. Melon Kinenbi has basically everything it needs to be popular in the Japanese mainstream except one thing: attention. I'll be damned if it isn't working to at least some extent. I even pre-ordered this one last night! Thing is, is Melon Kinenbi being turned into a novelty act (at least for this release) and is that a bad thing in the long run?
I say yes, MKB is being turned into a novelty act for this release similar to classics like Happa-dai's "Yatta!" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yatta). In my mind, this is not a bad thing if it's only for a short time. It got me to buy the damned CD, and with a PV like that, people are going to at least notice them.
Maybe I'm being overly optimistic, but I see the whole thing as a low-risk high-gain marketing ploy to get MKB's foot in the door for future fans to take notice. At the very worst, people are going to be indifferent, much as they are now.

I love the cover, and the PV was funny at first but I've seen better homemade parody PV's on youtube that actually kept me amused the whole time...

I think that the guys putting together the PV and perhaps even the single cover is what even warranted a full-release of this single in the first place.

Also, I may be wrong but part of the rules is that you have to show the CD as the sound source used, unless I'm reading this line wrong
