Listening to What is Love in that dokkiri, I felt like it was a soft launch for the single. Like, normally, in early performances of a new single, it hasn't been "broken in" so the singing is kinda rough and the dance isn't perfect yet since it's new. So to compensate for that, they threw in a handicap e.i performing the song less than 5 minutes after waking up. So now, even if the singing is rough and the dance isn't perfect, it's all cool 'cuz the girls just woke up. AND THEY STILL LOOK AWESOME PERFORMING. and adorable too. So it doesn't just compensate, it just boosts the street cred of these girls. They are performers 24/7.

Morning Musume don't just fart odorless/ fart marshmallows/ not fart.
They don't suck at Morning Musume-ing while groggy.

So cute how they all looked so lost and confused in the 1st verse of Love Machine. They were genuinely enjoying themselves and I think that's the most fun part of any MM performance. Sakura and Riho are so pro. Riho couldn't let the first line go unsung. Zukki FTW. I'm surprised Eripon didn't stand out more. Mizuki and her glasses lol. People dancing barefoot in 0C WOOO!

After the performance, how comfortable (considering the circumstance) they were with the audience right there, kinda gave me a they-know-their-fans-vibe.

They're literally the "Good Morning Girls Group" (早安少女組。) now.

I've watched the thing more than 5 times already. Breaking into Happy Summer Wedding during bedtime has to be one of the most 'WTF' and 'awwww Morning Musume <3' moments ever. Makes me wonder if they break into MM songs randomly.

Morning Coffee has never felt more appropriate.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who can't help watching it that many times!
Observing them all in their natural state, there's a lot to study.

Some small things I noticed through multiple viewings:

• Maachan tickle-poked Zukki at the part right after they got into the room
• Ayumi was already wearing her glasses during the card game
• After Riho said she wanted to play wink-murder, Ayumi announced loudly that Riho said it
• As Duu was explaining the rules of that game, Maachan had her ipad on her lap and was whispering something to Eripon
• At the same time, Ayumi was stepping back and taking a photo
• Meanwhile Sakura was shaking her hips like she was hula-ing
• Maachan slept all snuggled up to Sayu, but was also next to her on the bus and hugged her after the performance
• Fukuchan's pillow looked like it was covered by a towel or blanket
• Everyone's mic was their theme color, placed on the front of the stage on a matching pillow, with what seemed like name tags in front of them
• Zukki seemed to be trying to stretch a bit during the start of Love Machine
• Sayu had to be handed her mic before she would come out to perform
• Fukuchan put on and took of her glasses one or two times while seeming to ask Ayumi and Eripon if they thought she should wear them
• Eripon was the one reminding Fukuchan that her solo line was coming up while she was asking Ayumi

Now some notes on their sleepwear:

• I liked how ponpon both had cat-themed ones, but Eripon had big baggy leopard print while Fukuchan opted for fleece short shorts and tights
• Duu was wearing her pink sweatshirt from the Satoyama events
• Fashionista Harunan had pajamas that didn't even look like pajamas
• Riho was rocking the jphip logo on hers!

If you were watching the studio reactions, you may have noticed one woman actually cried when they performed!
That was actress Fujita Tomoko, who blogged about how moved she was by the girls' dedication to their fans and how much hard work they must have done in order to perform like that on such short notice.
2ch took notice and as a result, her blog went from 21 likes and 13 comments on her previous entry to over 600 likes and around 170 comments.

And yeah, the dokkiri was totally awesome. 
Nice to see the differences in their reactions and readiness to perform.
They all looked cute too. We need more suppin musume in the future for sure.

It proves me that all of Momusu member actually cute, even without make-up. Btw i still amazed by Chayu, so ccuuuttttee (with & without make-up)  even after 10+ years in the group..

So... Morning Musume do a promotional campaign with some comedians and they threw in another Love Machine reference in the process.
At the same time Tsunku also created hype, which lead to disappointment among fans yet again...

How is any of this gonna help Morning Musume? Sure a CM deal is nice, but isn't that a little short-sighted considering how they went about it?

It just happened to be the same comedians. Other than that: unrelated.

Also the whole point is that the comedy duo are the 'new members'.
So Tsunku played his part and hyped it up as if they really were the new members.
He even made a video talking about them, like after any audition.


Result: big hype train, lots of PR to pass around for everyone.
And the fans? If this somehow 'disappoints' them, then I fully expect them to commit ritual suicide come graduation day.

Michishige Sayumi (24) <Pitching will all her might 365 days a year! (*baseball reference) The reliable leader>
Out of all the members she is the one the pratices with the most enthusiasm. She never cuts corners.
She was already serious to begin with, but since becoming leader her sense of responsibility has increased.
When the dance moves are being put together, she even remember the facial movements as they were originally.
Watching that Michishige's back, I'm sure her kohai's are encouraged. She is already perfect.

Fukumura Mizuki （17）＜Memorises the [other] members' dance moves！　Honour student sub-leader＞
She's very stable。Furthermore、 it feels like she's steadily made progress up to now。
Similar to Sayashi and Ishida、 she's the type who actively enters into the dance scenes。
Since she makes large movements、 it's also very forceful。
Since there are a lot of slender members、 I think in the eyes of the guests at lives、Fukumura's dynamic movements will stand out 。

Ikuta Erina （16）＜Aiming to be the world's number one idol！　Successor of the lime-green＞
The Ikuta of recent times is great。  Her movements are sharp。
She's blessed in a physical way。
Speaking of that、I just recently found out that she's able to do handsprings。
Perhaps、there's a chance that I'll make a feature of that move。
Ikuta's fans, please hope for it （lol）。

Sayashi Riho （15）＜No questions asked, the absolute ace！ 　Child of the dance gods＞
From the auditions, her dancing was extraordinarily good。
She's a member that I can entrust and feel secure with。
Therefore、 I don't have anything in particular to say （lol）。
Sayashi、 I think she's definitely the one who'll attract the most attention wherever she is。
Anyway, she herself dances with a good feeling、 so watching it gives you a sort of refreshing feeling。

Suzuki Kanon (15) <The cheerful hard worker with powerful dancing>
Suzuki has had remarkable growth in her dancing. At first she really couldn't do anything.
Now she dances normally, but when I think "That Suzuki..." from the past, (compared to her now) I get really happy.
Her dancing is powerful, so it becomes a big accent in the group. Her big smile is also part of her charm.
 
Iikubo Haruna (19)<Using her long limbs to her advantage in dance, the mysterious type sub-leader>
The oldest (new) member we've had in a while, is without a doubt Iikubo!
When I first saw her, her rhythm was so off that it surprised me.
Honestly, I wondered what I should do with her (lol).
But she has long limbs, and looks like a doll, when she pulls herself together, more than anyone else, her dancing becomes like a painting.

Ishida Ayumi （16）　＜Her dance ability is authentic！　Dancer of the forest＞
Of course, Ishida's dancing is good。
She's also got a lot of experience。Of that、 I believe that everyone knows。
But to me、 she's skilled、 but I expected more。
What I want from Ishida is something explosive that goes beyond skilled・unskilled。
I want her to give something to the customers、 something that will make their heart feel like it's trembling。
 
Sato Masaki (14) <The most self centered person in the whole world! The girl (musume) who doesn't know fear, the soldier of fortune>
I think it's fitting to say that Sato has hardened her growth in dance.
I think she had dance sense already. But when she just dances by force, at the end of the day there is unevenness (in her dancing).
But it's not a problem with her skill, it's a problem with her mindset. But's she still a child (lol).
I'm looking forward to how Sato will be when she is an adult.
 
Kudou Haruka (14) <The soul of an egg (*H!P Eggs) is right here! #1 with feelings of not wanting to lose>
She is a girl who can dance.　But with her skill, she dances a bit flowy (lol).
She has the boyish style charm, so I think if she were able to dance more cleanly and cool, it would really draw people in.
Lately her expressions have become really good, so it is fun to watch her.

Oda Sakura (14) <Manipulates the singing voice of a rainbow (7 colors) The level headed youngest songstress (utahime)>
Dancing flexibly is her trait. I want her to focus more on her face while dancing. Also, she really fast at remebering the dances!
She was skilled beforehand, so I think she is the type that likes the work of memorizing.
Even since her audition she would talk happily and say things like "I like this part of that song's dance move~."
