ENTRY #03
The two rode Sayanee’s motorcycle. As she drove their way home, Milky wrapped her arms around her tightly, wanting to ease the nervous feeling she got after receiving the call from her mother.
“Nee… Sayanee…”
“Hm?”
“Thank you…”
“What for?”
“For making me feel extra special tonight…” Milky could feel Sayanee’s fast heartbeat because her head was leaning on Sayanee’s back. She’s sure Sayanee’s blushing right now.
“You don’t need to thank me… I—I’ll be willing to do anything for you.”
It was Milky’s turn to blush. She was speechless.
“Milky… You won’t leave me, ne?”
“No, I won’t… I never even thought of that.”
“That’s great! Because I never thought of letting you go…”
Milky’s heartbeat raced…
Suddenly, they stopped.
“We are here.”
Both of them took off their helmet.
Milky got off the motorcycle.
“I wanted you to stay here tonight… but it seems mom really missed me, so much that she wants to keep me for herself tonight…”
“It’s alright… I understand. So, I’ll be going now…”
Milky went towards her and gave her a warm kiss.
“Bye! Take care, okay?” She said as she waved her hand.
“Aye! Aye! Captain!” Sayanee started driving away, fading into the distant horizon.
As Milky was approaching their house, she could see the flickering light coming from the TV. Her mother had really waited for her all night.
She slowly opened the door, approached her mother and kissed her on the cheek.
“What’s it, mom? Why does that man came here today?”
“He’s still your father, Miyuki…”
“Yes, I know mom… But I don’t feel that he is… ever since the two of you got divorced…”
“He needs our help – I mean your help.”
“Me? But how?”
“His company is near bankruptcy… and his bank accounts are temporarily frozen because of this numerous debts… He said he has done everything to solve his problem… and it’s really hard to pay off his debts in two months’ time. There’s only one solution left…”
“Hm?”
“He just needs to accept the offer of the investor… but it has a condition…”
All of a sudden, Milky felt a chill on her back. She was extremely nervous.
“Do you remember your childhood friend, Nakayama-san?”
“Kei-kun? What does he got to do here?”
“His father, Nakayama-san was the investor… and he offers to help your father… if and only if… you marry his son.”
“What?!” The word ‘marry’ echoed through Milky’s ears. “This is crazy! You perfectly knew that I won’t ever do that!”
“But Miyuki, your father needs help…”
“Mom, I have a girlfriend, didn’t you tell him?”
Her mother shook her head.
Milky was now teary-eyed. “Why?”
“Dear… We dreamed of having grandchildren… which Sayaka can’t give you…”
“We can adopt children mom. We have talked about this years ago…”
“You are much grown-up now. Back then, I thought you were just playing around… Besides, your father will be jailed of he doesn’t pay for his debts…”
Milky was now furious. “He left us… and he will suddenly appear just to arrange a marriage for me. How long is he going to take my happiness away from me?” And with that, she walked away.
“Think about it first, Miyuki!” She could still hear her mother shouting.
She locked herself in her room and cried all night.
Sae let out a sigh. “Ah, so tiring…”
“Definitely. My head hurts…” Ayaka said as she gently touched her forehead. “You’ll wait for Sayaka?”
Sae nodded. “Two more hours before her dismissal.”
“Same as Yuko’s… Let’s go to the library and finish up our assignments…”
Sae agreed. The two girls went to the library and put their selves to work again.
After an hour and a half, they returned the books and went out of the library.
“So… I’ll be heading to Sayaka’s classroom now… Bye, Umechan!”
“Bye bye!”
They went on separate ways…
Sae walked fast while wearing a big smile on her face. Surely, seeing Sayaka after her classes will definitely refill her energy.
She arrived just as Sayaka’s classmates were leaving. It was not a difficulty tracking Sayaka over a crowd of students because of her tall height… In a few seconds, Sae spotted her.
“Sayaka!!” She waved her hand.
“Oi!” Sayaka’s smile appeared the moment she saw her girlfriend. “You waited for me…”
“Yes baby!” Sae winked.
“Baka!” Sayaka hit Sae’s head whilst laughing.
“Is that how you show your love for me?” Sae pouted.
Sayaka smiled. “But I’m glad you waited for me…” She gave Sae a peck on her cheek. It made Sae blush.
“Let’s go! I’m dead hungry! Could we stop by the cafeteria and grab some food?”
Sae just nodded, still speechless because of Sayaka’s kiss.
On the other hand, Ayaka was leaning on the wall, waiting for Yuko. Her head really hurts.
“Guess I’ve overworked myself again.” She thought to herself.
“Uuuumechaaan!” Yuuko shouted as she ran towards her. She immediately hugged Ayaka. “Ooh~ I missed you already!”
Somehow, Yuuko’s embrace eased her pain.
“My head hurts Yuuko… Let’s eat together!” Ayaka grabbed Yuuko’s wrist.
They made their way to the cafeteria.
While they were choosing what to buy, they heard a familiar voice saying, “Ah, I want to eat curry bread today!”. They tilted their heads to the speaker.
“Sae! Sayaka!” They said in chorus.
“Oh, what a coincidence seeing you here!” – Sayaka
“Umechan and I waited at the library after our last class…” – Sae
One pair bought curry bread while the other ordered melon bread. They seated themselves on a single table and chatted while eating their food.
“Umechan, are you okay?” Yuuko noticed that her girlfriend was a bit unwell. She hadn’t even finished eating her food.
“I—I’m feeling a bit dizzy…” She said in a soft voice. Her vision was blurry.
“Your skin is pale.” As Sayaka said this remark, they heard a soft thud on the table.
Ayaka fainted.
