19 movies in January, which I think is about average. I might have watched more but the last week was spent watching the fourth season of The Wire (yeeeessssssssss) instead of movies. The ratio of great movies to bad movies was pretty high; with at least 8-9 movies being really good and only 2-3 being at all bad.

I watched three movies in January. Though I counted movies that I really watched, not movies that were on TV at the same time I was on IRC or drawing or doing something else.

I guess Masa's leading with his 62... That's like two movies per day? :? How do you do that?

I just noticed this thread. Not much of a movie watcher, besides the local cinema is way behind "schedule". Barely half of the movies shown in most parts of the world make it to the roster. But then, I rarely go to the cinema anyway.

January
- Rush Hour 3
- Nobody Knows
- Ping Pong (2)

February
- Jisatsu Circle (2)
- Noriko no Shokutaku

March

April

May

June

July

August

September

October

November

December

(x) = times watched.

I might be able to make 100 if I keep up the rate of the past two weeks. I don't remember what I watched in January and what in December, so I'll just start from February.

February - 8
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer - I'd forgotten how bad your typical Hollywood schlock is.
[REC] - Low-budget zombie outbreak film. It can't really decide what genre to be, but highly recommended.
Shutter - Well-executed ghost story.
Densen Uta - Incoherent horror (supposedly). Failed to live up to my expectations of mediocrity.
Sukiyaki Western Django - Spaghetti western crossed with I don't even know. Lots of fun.
Mr. Bean's Holiday - I laughed, but not nearly as good as the series.
The Battleship Potyomkin - What is there to say that hasn't been said? Great film.
Zoku Otoko wa Tsurai yo - Very Japanese.

March - Maybe 50 would be a better target after all.
Cube - About time I saw this. Great film.
2046 - Beautiful, but could have used a bit more je ne sais quoi.
- I think I'll need some time to wrap my brain around it properly. Great film.
Koala Kachou - Not very good.
Noroi no Yakata - Chi o Suu Me - MST3K-grade horror.

February
[REC]
Sukiyaki Western Django

Those are two of my most looked forward to films.

Also I think masa should be forced to test for performance enhancing drugs.

Crank: Strange movie, Mr. Transporter in high-gear, but yay: Ami Smart!

Since February is the Oscar month I'll try to watch more epic dramas, award winners and other boring ass movies.

And that's what I did  XD

Top 10 of February (movies that I have seen before excluded)

01. Rambo IV
02. There Will Be Blood
03. Seraphim Falls
04. Sideways
05. Elizabeth: The Golden Age
06. Seabiscuit
07. The Good Shepherd
08. Million Dollar Baby
09. The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters
10. Pure

The worst movie of the month: Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

February was surprisingly weak especially considering that I watched tons of critically acclaimed movies. I doubt I will ever re-watch any movie outside the top10 and the only movies I'm planning to buy in the future are Rambo IV and There Will Be Blood.

Choosing the worst movie of the month was quite easy. I hate musicals with passion and Sweeney Todd is the worst musical I have ever seen because like 95% of the dialogue was sung (I hated Moulin Rouge and Chicago too but they didn't contain as much singing as Sweeney Todd).

18 movies in February. I think that's kinda lot for me, but we'll see.

Eventhough I watched all the Academy award nominees despite Michael Clayton, the best feeling was left by the four first Harry Potter movies. I hadn't watched them before, nor read the books. I was positively surprised and I think I have to read the books now as well.

This looks like fun!

Even though I'm two months behind, I think that I will be able to remember enough movies that I've seen so far this year to know what's up and maybe catch up to more than 50! I feel like I don't watch enough movies so I know I won't have a problem with upping my dosage! :ding:

I also have a list of classic movies that I haven't seen yet because I just have never gotten around to it (Braveheart... Gladiator... you get what I mean. Pretty pathetic for someone who loves movies, right...?) so I guess in order to get to this goal I'll finally watch them!

Also, I chose to watch a LOT of the Academy Award nominees before the Oscars, so those are on here also.

Here goes...

January/February
1. I Am Legend (saw it ~3 weeks after it came out, so SAFE!)
2. The Simpsons Movie
3. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
4. Atonement (<3)
5. No Country for Old Men (<3)
6. There Will Be Blood
7. Michael Clayton (really confusing, even though I watch Law & Order all of the time...)
8. Juno
9. Superbad
10. Sicko
11. Persepolis
12. Pirates of the Carribean - At World's End
13. Transformers
14. Unbreakable
15. Love in the Time of Cholera
16. Wit

That's all I can remember for now... I guess I'll edit this list later if I remember any more. This is a pretty neat thing to keep track of! Good thing I started.

Heh, totally forgot about this.

February wasn't that good of a month for movies. I saw a couple of really good ones, but nothing really seemed to stand out . . . Except for Pinocchio 964! Good lord, what a movie.

I also hit a bad stretch in the middle of the month where I saw about 5 bad movies in a row. To make up for all that March has been great.

Man, that movie is so fucking disturbing and more hardcore than most of the porn flicks I have seen. And the weird thing is that it's not even R-rated in Finland  XD

- The Lake House (same here)

March was a pretty good month for movies. 17 movies and none of them were actually bad. That's a pretty good run if you ask me.
Movie of the month? Probably, Adam's Apples. Brilliant, hilarious, and absolutely incredible.
