I like MAMI too! I dunno but whenever I see her sing solo she becomes really cute, I also love her voice. She also rocks hard and I think she's the most cheerful in the group.

yeah, Mami isn't liked by a lot of fans. But, we here, like her so that would add. I especially like her sing during S.L. Magic and in PLAYBOY as well.

I like her part also in Koi no Kajitsu, well I like all her parts. :D

YES, I watched the Mezamashi Live for the Koi no Kajitsu. Although I feel like Mami's kinda shy when she sings or its difficult for her to sing and to play the guitar at the same. Whatever the reason is, she still looks and sounds cute and cool when she sings.

I guess Mami doesn't have that many fans because she's kinda low key during performances. Mami doesn't seem nearly as confident as Haruna & Tomomi when she sings and she often seems kinda serious & shy on stage. I think it would be better if they let Haruna & Tomomi take care of singing and let Mami do some kick ass guitar solos. After all their songs are missing guitar solos and I wouldn't be surprised if Mami was their best guitarist.

Her Voice sync well with the others , i really like the part where she has a solo part while singing (SCANDAL NO THEME ) during one of the live performance.

I especially like those last two. The last one is just...wow. Mami looks so utterly adorable there, it's unbelievable! It's like Rina's kawaii-ness was rubbing off on her~ :lol:
And the second to the last one.... it's just golden. Sometimes I get to thinking that Mami and Rina were just forced to pair off since Tomo and Haru just had that instant bff bonding, but then other times, like through this pic, I feel like they are really good friends.
And still, this is all just speculation, isn't it? :lol: I'm so lame. :D

I know! At first I thought that was a pic of Haruna, but then when I looked closer.... :shocked She looks so adorable and effeminate here! I mean, usually it's Rina and Haru that we see all dolled up in girly clothes and makeup. But yeah, those pigtails look so cute on her. I would love to see Mami girled up a bit more often~ :D At least do something more with her hair, like this~ Not that I'm complaining, but her hair looks so cute~ :inlove:

Ah yeah the second one is Mami. I believe that shot was in the Making of Shoujo S which every SCANDAL fan should watch haha! it gave me a few laughs =]

OH hell yes! Although most of my british countrymates can't understand my fascination with Japanese girls...even they have to admit she's looking hot. Maybe, without being hars, she had a 'puppy-fat' stage and now she's looking more like a woman and less like a girl...or did that just sound wrong? :(

Anyone have a picture of Mami's pedalboard per chance? I'm trying to find a good pre-made one or a decent design for a custom ont to build but I don't have a clue where to start :(
I'm gonna try to find out the pedalboards for some of my favourite guitarists and get an idea of what I want.

New to SCANDAL, just this week and found this site. My first exposure was via FMA: Brotherhood's ED Shunkan Sentimental. I initally thought it was a female vocalist in a male band. Then I saw the PV and was surprised it was 4 rocking girls!! That was a good start for me.
Starting with that video Mami-chan has been my favorite (hence this post to increase the Mami-chan love). Absolutely love her guitar in ShoujoS, and it's not because of Bleach. :)
I saw a TV show where they were the guest and they showed a bit of the new PV with the upskirt guiter solo, and the male interviewer exclaims, "Yabai!!" (Or something like that!) He then went to ask which girl it was, and Mami-chan stands and explains it. It's too bad I don't understand Japanese, but I loved his expression when he saw that guitar solo.

I think the English name to that song is Anata ga Mawaru (You are Spinning), but I didn't know Mami-chan did the vocals on that. I like that song!
I had to torrent that show at: D-Addicts (http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/viewtopic_85916.htm). He also says something like "What kind of shot is that?" Haruna-chan gives a special recipe for Natto on rice, and Rina-chan plays a video game with the interviewer.

MAMI is most definitely my favorite! And trust, with SCANDAL, it wasn't easy, because each and every one of them, HARUNA, MAMI, TOMOMI and RINA are all so awesome, so beautiful, so pretty, so sexy.
MAMI, for me, is the funniest, along with TOMOMI, she's the weirdest, the most random and most bubbly and geekiest, which isn't a bad thing for sure.
She's a great guitarist, I just love watching her live. the way she rock with that guitar, how awesome is that. And her singing voice, it have a very unique quality, deep and sultry. I love listening to her sing, whenever she does.
She also have the most beautiful set of eyes. So dreamy, so deep, so alluring. It's like you can get lost in those eyes forever, they are like 2 big, beautiful, black holes.

^ I know both Mami and Tomomi have big round beautiful eyes (just in case, Haruna and Rina also do have beautiful eyes, but Mami and Tomomi have more striking eyes).

To be fair, without the make-up, the one with biggest eyes is Rina, followed by Tomomi, then Mami.
Yeah, Tomomi's eyes seem childish some time. But when you seriously look into her eyes in person, they are very deep and expressive. She also prominently has double eyelids, and long, curvy lashes, which are charm points to an Asian like me. Mami has double eyelids too, and she's beautiful in her own way, but man, I do love Tomomi. :) She doesn't need make-up or eyeliner to make them look better, because they are already naturally beautiful. I went to AM2 in July, and had chances to look at them face to face several times. Almost died on a heart attack LOL
I don't mean to rant about Tomomi in Mami's thread. :nervous

I agree with your "deep and expressive" eyes comment, I get that feeling, too. And when she smiles, it's makes her eyes like the cutest.
But back to Mami, since it's her thread and all. her eyes are, for me the most dreamy. Mami, I don't see her eyes as normally round as Rina or Tomomi, the shape is more downward. her eyelids and lashes makes her so seductive, the eyes themselves are deep and striking. I also see it as darker among the girls, her eyes can most definitely pull you in, body and soul. it's so dreamy.
During the whole AM2 event, I wasn't able to get any one-on-one glance with her. At the Panel, I sat in the front row, but in the right, where they walk into the room. Mami sat closest in our direction, but her body was diagonal towards the other way. Instead, Tomomi and Rina, respectively, was the one I was able to caught the most. Again during the Q&A, I sat dead center of the girls, in front of Tomomi and Rina. You can tell that Mami was shy, since she was more introverted and kept looking down more. At the concert I sat in the front, 2 rows back, where Mami would be. I was totally doing everything I can when Mami looked and walked our way.
I spent that entire time trying to get Mami to notice me and look me straight in the eyes, but I only really got a definitely 1 or 2 times, and it was really quick. With Tomomi and Rina and Haruna, they all did a little hand wave, though.
I was disappointed not getting Mami's attention.
But anyway, I really love her meatball head hairstyle, like Sailor Moon, in the BA magazine, I hope to get scans soon.

So you got the Press badge right? I envy you :angry: I was on the left, third row middle section at the panel, second row in 1st M&G, first row in the 2nd M&G, and maybe 5th or 6th row in the middle section in the concert. Somehow, I always ended up near where Haruna stationed. :lol:

She would occasionally move her head to the beat, but I just love her doll-like expression-less face.

Although I am a big fan of the natural dark brown and black hair tones.......I do think it is also understandable as Mami and her bandmates have grown up into beautiful young women that they would want to try out some new looks. The picture of her onstage posted by BigDnm01 (thank you!) shows Mami, indeed, is looking good with her light hair.

It's an image change. And I gotta say, I love Mami. Her black hairstyle and her demeanor, she gives off a kind of shy aura who isn't really comfortable with strangers. She'll only open up once she gets to know you.
Her dyed hair symbolizes her wanting to change that and it her maturity to the next level. well, it's my opinion.
