T.O. might be going the Peyton Manning route but I think another reason why he's out of the U.S. is because of what he did in L.A.  I can never look at him the same way after that.

The Brady rule only applies to pocket QB's, that is probably the most unfortunate thing, and didn't Vick get away from anyone rolling up on him? He got pushed backward, not rolled into :?

However, the late hits are becoming an issue, and if that doesn't get solved, it might be a long season for all

Well it applies to QBs in the pocket. Once you scramble you are a runner and need to have your awareness on the field.

I don't even know why people call it the Brady rule. It's the Carson Palmer rule since it was created after he got his knee torn up by Kimo von Oelhoffen in the playoffs. It's just coincidence it was enacted the season after Brady got hurt. Strange thing is couple weeks ago a Chargers guy nailed Brady's knee unblocked and they didn't call it, so the Brady rule doesn't apply to Brady.

The best option is to have QBs required to wear knee braces like they are flak jackets. Too much exposure when planting and going through the throwing motion.

I listened to the Vick's concern and pretty much it come down to position of the officials, if the official can't see it, it be hard to call because the players love to complain.  (Brady is one to point to for doing so)  But, is it really equal in that aspect, no because Vick is treated more of a RB than a QB scrambling away, that's probably the hardest thing to call for anyone.  Especially when the play is still going, shit does happen and I think it not only happens to Vick but others.  However, he is getting hurt on the clean plays, so you can't really put a lot on that most of the time.

@zoolander: safety is always key and going out to protecting themselves is helpful but it could counter performance

Honestly the refs aren't playing favorites, people only perceive it that way because of one or two high profile no calls or something. Here are the stats for amount of roughing calls per QB for the last 2 years.

Quarterback    Calls per 100 passes
J. Campbell    1.46
J. Cutler    1.28
C. McCoy    1.20
J. Clausen    1.00
S. Bradford    1.00
K. Orton    0.99
M. Stafford    0.93
R. Fitzpatrick    0.91
M. Vick    0.88
D. McNabb    0.75
S. Hill    0.72
M. Cassel    0.72
C. Palmer    0.68
C. Henne    0.67
D. Anderson    0.61
J. Kitna    0.61
P. Rivers    0.60
M. Ryan    0.58
K. Collins    0.53
A. Rodgers    0.52
D. Brees    0.51
A. Smith    0.48
R. Grossman    0.40
M. Sanchez    0.32
B. Favre    0.28
B. Roethlisberger    0.20
M. Hasselbeck    0.18
J. Freeman    0.17
E. Manning    0.16
T. Brady    0.16
M. Schaub    0.15
P. Manning    0.15
D. Garrard    0.00
J. Flacco    0.00
K. Kolb    0.00
T. Romo    0.00
Other*    0.73

Obviously the refs favor the likes of Jason Campbell and Jay Cutler. lol Brady and Manning actually get the fewest calls (no doubt partially because they don't take a lot of hits, they are timing and rhythm based passers and don't scramble around too long) both only had 1 RTP penalty in the last 32 games, but it goes to show perception can be different than reality.

It's also amazing how I was pissed when someone got Chris Johnson before me in my money fantasy league but I was just looking at the stats and Chad Henne has more rushing yards than him. lol

On top of that LeSean McCoy, Fred Jackson and Ahmad Bradshaw are all dominating for me along with Brady, Megatron, Jeremy Maclin, Steve Smith, Aaron Hernandez, Vernon Davis. My team is looking unstoppable at the moment. :twothumbs

Hopefully I can get my first win for my auto-pick team.  I'm benching Phillip Rivers this week in favor of Matty Ice vs the 'Hawks.  If Rivers didn't suck against the wor...errr...2nd worst team in the NFL, I would've played him this week and forgot about playing Matt Ryan.

choosing between the lesser of two evils, and pretty much I support that, and then also Chargers are having issues with their WR's and TE's so hope that Matty Ice does well instead of Burner Turner

^ I can't really tell if Romo is the solution or the problem, because if Garrett had brains, he would have run enough, but I guess Suh was overpowering XD

I guess Sunday was Romo being Romo.  He's like the Lebron James of the NFL.  Can't buy a soda from the vending machine without a 4th quarter.  In any case, I'm starting to believe that this year is definitely the Lion's year to make the playoffs.  Stafford + Megatron = awesome tandem and the defense is something to watch for week in and week out.  Jim Schwartz is doing the right things to get this team out of the shadows of an 0-16 season just a few years ago.

Also, I can finally relax a little this week after my auto-pick team picked up its first win thanks in part to a great performance by LeGarrette Blount.  I was a bit disappointed on how the Bucs defense played against the Colts with Curtis Painter under center.  Hell, this was a guy that even Peyton Manning didn't feel comfortable with in getting into a game in relief.

RIP Al Davis. :(

Don't have to be a Raiders fan, Al Davis built the NFL. Even at his alleged senile state, he could put the hardest man in his place. NFL is nothing it is today without him from top to bottom. From offense to defense to the way the league is structured, teams moving, hiring minority coaches, John Madden. LEAD MEN. I really admired the teams he built through the 70s and 80s. GO VERTICAL. DO IT YOUR WAY.

JUST WIN BABY.

Romo. Pfft.  Nuff said.

Sorry Thimmy. Eagles gonna turn it around, Mike Vick won't let em flounder in Buffalo, can't say too much for da Boys.

Lack of fundamentals and not making Vick go outside the pocket more often to throw the ball, probably Andy Reid has been listening too much to outside voices to make Vick uncomfortable
