Title: The Evangelion Thread

I know a bunch of people love Neon Genesis Evangelion. And with the movie premiering in theaters in Japan in a few weeks I decided to make a thread.

All I know is that it's going to be an alternate retelling, but not much else

So if anyone knows more, feel free to share

Hikki's new single is the movies theme.

Can't wait to hear the full soundtrack though. As I've always really liked the evangelion ost's

so what will the "shin evangelion" be about ? will the story continue after where it's last left off ?

:lol: continue off the recreation of the world?

It's a retelling of the old story with updated animation, new/alternative scenes, and I hear it's supposed to be a little more accessible than the original anime

eva story draws ideas from some of the older psychological theorists
and I hear paralells anno's thoughts at least in some ways

So awesome... although of course it won't be until this time next year when the DVD comes out that we can actually watch it though  :lol: I still haven't seen 1.0!

Trailer is SICK. I'm really looking forward to it. 1.0 was a VERY good quasi-reboot of the series and it looks like 2.0 is going to change a lot of things up. I know it's not very likely,  but I would be thrilled if they would screen this movie at anime expo. :thumbsup

Watched Evangelion 2.0 The Movie in HongKong just 1month ago and it was pretty cool. And also there is a continue for the movie cuz after the movie there was a 5min special preview for the 2nd movie.  :)

3rd movie is called Quickening, but still no news of release date. I think there's a trailer out too somewhere, but I might be wrong.

Still from the preview at the end of the 2nd movie, Asuka gets an eyepatch LOL.
