The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra (originally Avatar: Legend of Korra) is an upcoming American television mini-series set in the Avatar universe as a spin-off of Avatar: The Last Airbender. It is expected to air on Nickelodeon in mid-2012. The series is currently under production, and was originally expected to run for 12 episodes, until Nickelodeon extended it another 14 to make a total of 26 episodes.[1] The co-creators of the original series, Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, will personally write all of the episodes to allow for a tighter storyline.
The new series will take place 70 years after the end of the Avatar: The Last Airbender story arc, with all-new characters and settings.[1] The protagonist of the new series, Korra, the next Avatar after Aang, is a hot-headed and rebellious young woman from the Southern Water Tribe who is "ready to take on the world".[2] The series plans to follow Korra as she faces an anti-bender revolt while mastering the art of Airbending from Aang and Katara's son, Tenzin.

This has got to be highly anticipated. I honestly can't wait for this. Just saw the trailer and it looks amazing. I'm gonna miss the original group though

^ I've seen both eps before the release date.
Almost forgot they named a character after Iroh's voice actor, Mako.
Should read "The Promise" to fill in the gap between both series.

the way The Legend of Korra is going, i think in the end i might actually like it more than the Last Airbender. It's on some next level shit. The villain Amon, i thin they wrote his character really well. Mako's new gf is hot, for a cartoon of course =) Who do you think Mako is gonna end up with, the smoking hot brunette, or the kickass tomboy?
i'm wondering if Zuko had kids too

. . . . . . . . . was that adult Sokka, and Aang? That was Toph for sure, but Aang looked like a young Tenzin. Korra did call out for Aang tho, so i'm guessing that was Aang.
