The producers of ‘Smallville’ have discovered their Supergirl. Just as you might have suspected from Clark Kent’s cousin, she’s hot. Canadian actress Laura Vandervoot has been cast as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl for the upcoming season of ‘Smallville.’ It only took a month for producers to find their gal after announcing Kal-El’s Kryptonian cousin would join the series as a regular.

TVGuide revealed the casting choice recently, and Vandervoot certainly fits what producers were looking for. Supergirl is a 19-year-old blond, beautiful, and funny woman. Of course, Clark is supposed to be 19 as well. Last I checked Tom Welling was in his 30s, but it never stopped the guys and gals of West Beverly from attending high school well into their 20s on ‘90210.’

Series creator Al Gough intends for the character to shake up the relationships previously formed on the show. Kara will possess all of the powers that Clark does, including a few he has yet to discover. Her demeanor will not be submissive and will put her at odds with Clark, while simultaneously intriguing Lex. But as for romantic involvement there’s talk of a relationship with Jimmy Olsen. Looks like we’re in for some drama when season 7 of ‘Smallville’ returns to television in mid-September.

Can't believe how fast this series is progressing, fuck. I don't even remember when was the last time I watched it. I just see the last 5 min of reruns before Fresh Prince on YTV :lol:

But nice addition to an already hot cast :jerk: The 6th season hasn't even begun to show here yet, and the 7th season will start showing in mid-September in America?!

Just saw the season premiere for Smallville, and Supergirl is mos def a hawtee. :drool:
