Bought the nice cozy home on 1 Chalk Road, Alebrook in the Shire. Housewarming party sometime, filled up the fridge with the good beer from the Prancing Pony (you know that stuff's good).

Tried this out last weekend. I havent played many MMO games because I'm cheap but I really enjoyed this game until I ran out of quests. But now there's a sale until the 30th on the Lone-Lands quest pack so I'm going to try and complete some deeds and try to earn enough points for the new pack.

Add Taeyeon. haha

I friended you jay, will invite you to the Kinship when we're both on again. Drop by IRC, you can probably strike up a LOTRO convo at will now :yep:

I made about 300s today from a handful of quests in eastern Lone-Lands. Hoping to have my house by tomorrow, now.

I also made a Dwarf the other day, Guardian at that. While it takes while for things to die, I also can not die, so it works out. I'm guessing that after I can get some quality equipment from Stryfe and tenkei, things will pick up. :thumbup

Mayuyu sexily roasting herself in front of The Prancing Pony.

Stryfe and I enjoying some beers with Barney, while looking at over lands poisoned by Melkor's sins.

Got a bitching house last night, in the Elven homesteads. Planning to make some nice furniture for it, just need to round up the recipes. And skirmishes, holy shit are they awesome.

Yeah boi, five of us downed Thadúr the Ravager today, effectively the first dungeon boss in LOTRO. Only took two tries, and the first was really just learning the fight at all. HIGH GIVE GUYS :hand:

shoulda cranked up the graphics for the pic :sweatdrop:

Some higher quality shots on the town. Don't have the high-res texture pack, though. These are of the human home-area.

Some shots from inside my (elvish) house, and some of them featuring me IN my house. What I get for jumping at the wall repeatedly..

Some shots for shi...

My burglar, Thurlo, fishing in front of shirenu's house!

And Thurlo's new pony... while the steed looks sufficiently evil, I just gotta get a dark hooded cloak for the currently goofy-ass looking hobbit.  XD

Lord of the Rings Online doubles revenue since going free-to-play

Lord of the Rings Online Executive Producer Kate Paiz announced during a panel at GDC Online 2010 today that Turbine has done it again: Lord of the Rings Online has doubled its revenue and created over a million new accounts since going free-to-play early last month. That's the second MMO Turbine has taken from a paid subscription to a hybrid microtransactions-based business model, with Dungeons and Dragons Online doing the same thing last year (important to note: Paiz was in charge of both transitions, switching to LotRO in July). Paiz told us after the panel that LotRO wasn't in trouble, but rather that Turbine did the math and decided the switch would work. "We knew there was more out there for us," she said.

Paiz also shared that 20% of LotRO's former players have returned to the game since the switchover, and that the game has seen a 300% increase in peak concurrency, with three times the number of players online simultaneously, and a 400% increase in active players total. 53% of players have used the in-game microtransaction store (which sells everything from mounts and outfits to XP boosts and character slots), and as you can see above, extra storage slots are extremely popular in the store. And even paid subscriptions have increased. Turbine's lesson seems to be that, as Paiz said during the panel, "when you tell people you no longer have to pay for it, they come in droves."
