I've just started watching the anime. I can see why it's so popular  12 episodes more to go!

Finished watching all episodes. I now I'm two years late. But man, what a great serie. The non-linear telling of the stories makes it more interesting and it all works out great.

I am kinda glad in a way that this season will be on chronological order, but then again...that's one of the things that made Haruhi enjoyable for me. Trying to figure out what happened when.

[bgcolor=#000000]I like how this 1st ep of the 2nd season is actually the 8th episode in the whole chronological order, It's confusing but very Haruhi-ish. Also how this ep explains why in the 1st  season Haruhi feels like she's met Kyon before[/bgcolor]

I'm pretty sure that's no coincidence.

Why do I feel like I've seen this episode before? I don't remember all of it, but I'm 90% sure I've seen the whole time travel and 3 years thing before.

^That's what I thought at first as well, but it really serves a purpose. Imagine having to watch this episode 15000+ times! Even though it is kinda boring, it is interesting that they are taking this concept this far.

This is a old thread, but I absolutely love Haruhi. The first time I watched it (broadcast order), it was a huge mind f**k. And I absolutely loved it. 

Have you guys seen the movie? It's an absolute masterpiece. One of my favorite animated movies of all time.

But, are they even going to make more seasons?  It's taking forever if they are.

Yes the movie is great, it's like top 10 on MAL.net, but everyone hates how KyotoAnimation just trolled the 2nd season for 8 fking episodes.

Personally, I think the best episode of the entire series barring movie is the school festival "Live Alive" one where Haruhi sings that awesome insert song.

I reckon that was one of Aya Hirano's top songs.

Anyway there could be a 3rd season seeing as they have enough material (ie light novels) to work with, and the popularity of the first series was overwhelming.

I just watched the movie and it blew me away. Awesome. Screw standard movie conventions, just make this a great 2:40 long movie.  I'm also glad they build on the previous seasons, rather than coming up with something entirely new.

There is barely any Haruhi in it. Kyon carries the entire movie. This shows how strong each character is.

One small continuation issue.. but I have to re-watch some old episodes for it to make my mind up about it. lol
