NMB48's Suto Ririka eats a durian fruit in PV for 'Durian Shounen'
June 20, 2015

The short PV for NMB48's new song "Duran Shounen" was recently uploaded onto the group's official YouTube channel.

"Durian Shounen" is the title track to NMB48's new single scheduled to be released on July 15. In the PV, which was shot in Taiwan, you can see the center Suto Ririka eating durian as well as scenes of the members enjoying Taiwan's night market. There is also a dancing version PV, which features the members dancing in their bikinis.

The PV was directed by Miki Takahiro, who also directed the PVs for "Nagiichi" and "Bokura no Eureka".

NMB48's latest single debuts at No.1 on Oricon weekly ranking
July 21, 2015

Popular idol group NMB48's 12th single "Durian Shounen" (released on July 15) debuted at No.1 on Oricon's weekly single ranking with the first week sales of 371,000 copies.

This marks the group's tenth chart-topping single. Up until now, only 4 female groups have reached ten No.1 singles, which include Morning Musume, AKB48, SKE48, and Nogizaka46, so NMB48 became the 5th female group to achieve it.

For this single, 18-year-old Suto Ririka serves as the center. Suto was team N's first-round draft pick during "The 1st AKB48 Group Draft Kaigi" held back in November 2013. This is the first time for a drafted member to take the center spot for a title track of any of AKB48 groups' singles.
