We've been doing hottest and cutest member polls in the AKB48 section for several years now.
It's always fun and interesting to see the results and how they change over time.
Let's start a new tradition in the Idoling!!! forum!
The 1st Annual Cutest Idoling!!! Member Poll
THE RULES
- You must choose 5 members
- #1 = 5 points, #2 = 4 points, #3 = 3 points, #4 = 2 points, #5 = 1 point
- Included in this poll are all Idoling!!! members under 18 years of age

Takahashi and Tamagawa are pretty much invisible unless you watch Nicohachi live in full including backstage talk, not TV show edit.
Duh, I wish Kaede is over-18 'cuz ironically she is hotter than some over-18 members.

I'll try to base my votes on my experience with them during handshake events, lives etc rather than the TV shows to make things interesting.
5. Hashimoto Ruka
A bit sharper tongue and blunt in her speech compared to her sister but when talking to her in person you'll realize that she's just a little kid :lol:
4. Satou Rena
Most popular NEO member right now for her look and fans service. She's doing well in her role as the only idol like character in Idoling!!! She makes a lot of effort to be cute to her fans by changing her hairstyle for every handshake sessions and also posting them on her blog for fans who didn't attend.
3. Ishida Karen
Her husky voice may not suit her appearance but the air of calmness that she gave is similar to Suu-chan. I can listen to her talk all day. I wished Idoling!!! still do a radio show because I feel she's very suited to radio. She's smart and thoughtful with her words.
2. Tamagawa Ramu
Although I would classify her looks as hot rather than cute, her action and behaviour is probably the cutest amongst all Idoling!!! members. She's the only members I know that jumps around while talking to you during handshakes, like a pet animal.
1. Hashimoto Kaede
The little devil herself. She just knows the right buttons to push when talking to people which makes me think that she's a lot smarter than people give her credit for. She's becoming very pretty lately especially during the 13th live since I couldn't recognize who I was seeing at first because she had a different hairstyle.

"Cute" is a bit broad, IMO. My rankings factor in personality (as perceived on TV, since I never go to handshake events).

P.S. IMO, Mikke should really be in the "Hot" list, not the "Cute" list...
We have to draw a non-biased line somewhere or else it will become too random.

My choice will be : Rena-Kaepyon-Kurumin-Ishidashi-Reia
#1 Rena Sato : a pure idol was born in NEO :wub: Rena definitely have all that idol need, cute look, cute voice, cute appearance, cute face, etc..
#2 Kaede Hashimoto : Her shine is not faded yet, Kaepyon still one the cutest of all. Only one thing that beat her, Rena :wub:
#3 Kurumi Takahashi : Also Kurumin born into a "ideal" idol, one of my favorite is her cute voice
#4 Karen Ishida : Ishida-shi deserve in the list, sometimes she's look like Loli-type girl.
#5 Reia Kiyoku : Small + Chubby = totally win..
Actually i've placed #1 into Serina Nagano :wub: :wub: But my bad she wasn't on the cute list :yawn:

Man, this is way harder than the hot member poll...
1 Hashimoto Kaede - the Queen of Cute..no more needs to be said
2 Furuhashi Mayu - Mayu has quickly jumped up to damn near the top after not even being around that long..her voice is adorable (even when talking) and she just carries herself so well
3 Ishida Karen - Karen just makes me smile every time I see her, it's uncontrollable how adorable she is, and still is even as she gets older
4 Sato Rena - Rena is ridiculously adorable and really funny when she gets her time to shine. Her and FuruMayu together are just killer ♥
5 Tamagawa Ramu - I wasn't a fan of Ramu at all until around a year ago, when she finally seemed to be maturing her character more and becoming much prettier and less child-like. Now she's really funny and cries at almost everything like clockwork XD

1. Satou Rena (this one is easy, she's simply adorably cute from the first moment I saw her. Also fav NEO member and she's even cuter in real life :) )

I make a distinction between (childish) cuteness and ("physical") cuteness.
Ruka & Reia for childish cuteness. Rena & Kurumi for "physical" cuteness. And Kaede for both. :grin:

Definitely clear win for Kaepyon, she's very consistent in top-3 although close in 1st place with Rena. Interesting poll will be next year, all of NEO will shine this year (my prediction). So can't wait to see Rena in swimsuit... :drool: :drool:

Let's commentingu!!!
- No real surprise Kaede won, but I'm amazed at how close Rena came in. She's still quite new, so if her uprise continues in the same fashion as the last couple of months she can become huge.
- Karen ended higher than expected. She's quite pretty, which can be considered a type of cute I guess. I like the way she acts girly and innocent which adds to her cute level, haha.
- If Ruka 2 grows up the same way as Kaede then we're in for trouble :lol:
- I confess Takahashi Kurumi is one of the most invisible girls to me. She's like Sato Sumire in AKB48; very cute and pretty but doesn't stand out much in the TV show. That's why I was surprised she ranked so high. However! When I searched for pic I realized she is also in ChocoLe. Completely forgot about that. It also means she released some IVs which def helped boost her popularity in this poll.
- Would've liked to see Ramu end up a bit higher. She isn't textbook pretty, but she has that special factor which makes her a bit different and more appealing.
- My main beef with the results... How in the world did Kurata Ruka end up last?!? :panic:
I know for a fact that three of my AKBros would have voted for her, but they didn't know enough of the other members to justify voting in this poll.
But why did she do this badly? Is it because she's still quite chubby or because people are considering her to be sexy?

As for next year, there are only three girls who move onto the Hotness poll: Wako, Kurata and Karen.
The polls look back on the past year, so Kaede will still be seventeen years old by then.
Can Sato beat her by then or will Kaede reign supreme. I'm already excited about this battle :lol:

With Kurata I guess she gained a little too much or the new outfit doesn't really suit her body type. After 933 I realized she has a naughty side :lol: which makes her hot in a way and she got some junk in the trunk. :twothumbs If she was on the other poll I would have put her in, next year I guess.

- Karen is a surprise for me. She's charming in some way, we can't deny. But I wouldn't define it as cuteness.
- Kurata Ruka is one of the prettiest girls of the group if not the prettiest. She also is quite cute. But in my opinion her beauty surpasses her cuteness. If she were more thin she probably would be way more attractive.
- Ramu is not cute anymore. But it's too early to say that she's hot without sounding like a pervert. :lol:

I'm not surprised at the ranking at all, really, and 3 of them were in my personal ranking, anyway!
Personally, I think Kurumin passed from "cute" to "really effing hot" a while ago (early 2013), despite how young she still is. Her personality is very boring, though, and she does almost nothing to stand out within the group, so I have a hard time recommending her to people as someone to pay attention to, but she still can be very cute at times and is always a pleasure to look at :wub:

Ramu & Karen should move into next league (hottest :w00t: :w00t:), I think Kaepyon should be there too, she's start to look hot IMO. Btw Serina should move to this league, she still looks cute & adorable, although she's from 2nd gen (unfortunately Serina lost "cutest member" soon after 3rd-gen joined, which was Kaepyon who beat her :grin:)
