I think that whole "Japanese only" isn't all it seems.
Because I have gone into 2 establishments that both said "Japanese only.", by myself even.
Both were clubs (of what type I will not say...
), but right at the door it said "Japanese and Asian only.", Once I got there the doorman did try and stop me. But once he figured out i could infact speak Japanese and I understood what he was saying and trying to explain, he let me in. Also, I was not a jerk about him not letting me in atfirst, I was nice, polite and patient with me. So when he saw that I, can speak Japanese, I understood him and was polite and patient, both times did I get into those Japanese only establishments.
I'm not Japanese and in no way do I look Asian
, I think that mainly means. No foreigners who cannot speak a word of Japanese or understand it. Because alot of foreigners who do go to Japan can't seem to understand much of it. It baffled me how many foreigners I met in Japan, who could not even understand the basics of Japanese...I think those types of signs are directed towards those types of people.
