I don't know if it's because I'm dead tired and am studying for finals, but.... FINALLY. A bearable version of Mikan. I never really liked the song because I sort of associated it with the new 'era' of MM after Yossy graduated, but I think Rika rocks this one. This song is more suited for her voice.

Yuko in Joshi Kashimashi Monogatari = I HAVE BEEN WAITING A LONG TIME FOR HER TO BE IN THIS SONG. lol

I saw Nacchi's blog update and Yossy's cake (I don't know if she had several, but this was the one that Nacchi took a picture of) had a bike on it. I LOL'd.

there's no update until now.

anyway, last night i listened to all the song posted here.
i'm excited to comment that i love the song mikan and roman my dear boy.
but don't have energy to type coz its past midnight.
before checking here, i tried to go to yossy forum coz its her bday yesterday.
and maybe there's more pics and infos.
to my dismay it makes me sad to read some comment
that mikan is skippable coz its full of rika.
i tried to listen to it again to check if its irritating or not sang well.
but there's really nothing wrong about it. i found it soothing.
unlike koha in Joshi Kashimashi its irritating but ok in mikan
and yaguchi in sexy boy but in roman my dear boy she's ok.

well, i think you can't please everybody.
i just didn't like it coz she's attacking the person and not the song.
haayzz, sorry for my ranting here....

just want to defend her after reading that.

yes dai, it becomes like that.
but yeah, there's still love from other members.
and we support rika whatever group she's into not just her alone.

so stay close to the rika loving shore. else, you'd end up defending her endlessly and unnecessarily cuz such opinions of hating rika do not matter.

i really hated that song mikan when it first came out. but the DMM version became likeable to me cuz rika is there.

i really hated that song mikan when it first came out. but the DMM version became likeable to me cuz rika is there.

Whether it's defending Rika, or another artist (in general), it's all because of the qualities you like in the person. I try not to get too involved with these sorts of things because I don't necessarily love everything about an artist, but I don't necessarily hate everything about them either. I don't really think there's anyone who is perfect; idols are no exception. Flaws and imperfections make you realize how much more you'll admire them.

For some reason, I tend to think the reason why I'm attracted to the Rika fanbase is because of the likes and dislikes. It just makes her so much more appealing. Sure, everyone is entitled to their opinion about her, her personality, her singing, etc., but these features are what make her unique. Again, the same can be said for any other H!P member.

I hated Mikan at first too, but I was reading through old news clips and articles about Kaorin's child's passing and it was actually because of Yuko that I liked the song. (link; scroll down a bit to the translated entry on Yuko's blog) The fact that Kaorin is singing in it, along with Yuko and Rika, just makes it much more enjoyable than the original version. Plus, I think Mikan is best suited for Rika's vocal range.

As for others voicing their dislike over there, let it be. As they say, "Haters gonna hate."

don't worry, that would be my last!
i won't let them ruin my day and my love for rika.
she may not have the best voice, but this flaws and many
of her charming personality and abilities is what drawn me to her.

just hope that they spread love to the group instead of hate.
downfall of the group could be the downfall of their idol.

sorry i'm bias, just what i said in my profile. probably because of the age gap!

so after hearing mikan, it becomes an instant favorite.
