Man, I wish I could like the song more, but it actually now keeps reminding me of the awful voice-over guy that her documentary episodes have... His voice is so awful oh my god

I almost can't watch the eps at all, or have to abuse the mute button, his voice irks me so much LOL

Kikka's home prefecture of Ibaraki has been hit pretty hard by the earthquake, tsunami, and aftershocks.
It's also next to Fukushima prefecture, where the nuclear plants are.
Recently, some spinach crops from Ibaraki were found to be contaminated by radiation.

In any case, Kikka wasn't able to get back home for a while.
Here's what she did:

Actually, Kikka was finally able to return to her home in Ibaraki the other day.

To be able to help everyone just a little, and on my own to be able to see smiles on many faces, I’m going to do absolutely everything I can to the fullest.
I want us to all work hard together, encourage each other, and do our best!

It's nice that they're sticking together in these tough times.

It's been a while since I've done any Kikka mail translations, but it turns out they're unnecessary now since mm-bbs is doing them.

Just got a Kikka email.
She said she's going to be a regular on "Hiru nan Desu!!" each week on Tuesday.

Also, she said Kikka Channel episode 6 is out:

This time is the shooting of the PV!
For her first outfit, she says the things to look out for are the playing card symbols on the skirt.
Also, she says "the material is similar to an umbrella. It's got a slippery texture to it".

Then there's a little part at the end with her recording the narration for the single's commercial.

And with that, this single is all finished!

Here's a clip of that "Hiru nan desu!" show with Kikka as a Tuesday regular:

They go around town dressed as office ladies trying various pastry shops' sweets.
Since it's right around sakura season now, they're going specifically for the sakura sweets.

But it's not all about sweets.
As you'd expect from "office ladies", there's a gossipy bit around 5:00.
Kikka is asked about some gesture guys do that she likes.

Kikka: Me? Well, I'm not really that interested in guys...
Asako: No way, Yuu-chan! That's such a waste!
Kikka: Hehe, I know.
Asako: ...A calculated answer!? Since she's an idol, I guess it's like "Guys are still kinda..."

That part made me smile.

Questions like that can be a little tricky for idols, but she played it off being coy.

For the record, her answer was something like
"when a guy who's normally reserved [not sure about this part] suddenly flashes a smile"
