I kept thinking of those old style vending machines where you have to turn a knob for the stuff to come out. Or those ones for toys contained in a little globe (that I can't remember the name of orz). It fits the theme of the show, naturally. After all, OOO's ride is a vending machine.

On that note, isn't Birth the guy who wanted to be famous (in a previous ep)? I thought he was going on a world journey, so wtf is he doing back here, and as the new rider no less? Also, Birth does not appear antagonistic to OOO at the moment...but who knows?

If you mean the world journey guy who got yummified as a butterfly yummy, no it's not him.

The "world journey guy" that wanted to be famous is the same actor that played Impactor Logia in Granzasers, so yeah, it's not the same dude as the guy that's supposed to play Birth.

It might, however, partially explain why he seems familiar.

Just finished Iron King, Toku series from 1972. Quite cheesy but entertaining, really like the old series like this.
