I thought the seal was supposed to kill him. But yeah, I can see them doing something where they try some unknown/untrusted Makai healing ritual to save him, only to have it go wrong and end up with the unexpected result of somehow corrupting him, yet also allowing him to maintain his ability to summon his armour, thus turning him into the "dark Garo" from the intro.

^ I was thinking that the seal will make him evil or keep him under the control of the masked guy, then the new guy from the press con will be the new Garo and will have to fight Kouga, but he already appeared as a Makai priest in ep 2. so yeah

Episode 2 is already out and it seems that it establishes Red Requiem as canon, most likely happening between Beast of the White Knight and Makaisenki. Up to know I am still curious how the last page of the storybook that Kaoru gave to Kouga looked like.

So yeah, there's gonna be a dark Garo called Jyaku

the last 2 episodes of Makaisenki were creepy (there was a ghost head peeking at around 15 mins in episode 5)

Yay, swordfighting episode all the way~

And on another note. Even though the episodes are pretty short at 30min, they always feel longer to me (like an hour or something).
I think that's a plus on how well they handle the pacing of each story.

Kenji Matsuda as a Makai Knight = badass

Good to see the Beast of the White Knight characters again. Though I wanted to see if Rin still looks like Momochi

Even if everything is pointing at him (good swordsmanship, his compass almost killing Jabi, looking pissed when there's a knight-priest comparison/remark, etc.), I still don't think Leo is Jyaku.

Because if he was, he wouldn't have given Kouga that ointment a few episodes back, unless it accelerates the mark's effects or somehow masks Leo's evil intent. It's highly possible that they are related, probably siblings or an evil twin.

I was starting to wonder when they'd actually bring them back. After all, they did have Yamamoto Shoma (aka dude that played Tsubasa/Dan the White Knight) at the press conference a few months back when they initially made the announcement for the Makai Senki series.

The similarities in the voices of the characters (Leo and Jyaku's masked Makai Priest form) was what initially got me thinking/suspecting that they were one in the same. Regardless of how it turns out, it's a really neat/fun underlying story arc that they're stretching throughout the series.

Rei is my favorite of the Knights. He just seems like a normal human being, while Kouga feels more like a mythical being.

Oh and Kamen Rider Meteor... I must say that the actor does not make me believe he actually knows Martial Arts. I just watch him and think that he is just pretending and mimicking a movie he saw.
