With all these auditions, I'm wondering if Berryz and C-ute will see new members soon. Like MM, their roster has been kept the same for some time too.

Tsunku's been trolling the girls since forever too. I mean, turning MM into a rotational group from the 1st gen onwards?

For a more recent example, the fact that he added 10th gen right after 9th, and that every single one of 10th gen has a counterpart in 9th (Riho vs Ayumi dance, Fukuchan and Duu as former Eggs, Eripon and Harunan former models, Maachan and Zukki the ones with no showbiz experience whatsoever)...he basically added direct rivals for 9th gen.

That troll. Not to mention then he trolls everyone again with 11th gen's Suppin Utahime auditions -- basically him telling the girls that HA YOU CHILDREN CAN'T SING. Talk about insult to injury.

Which also led to Riho admitting in newspaper interview that everyone's been busy taking voice training lessons in the battle for Reina's lines after her grad...

Tsunku is a troll, and a master of his art.

I'm just looking forward to see what kind of drama happens in 12th gen auditions now teehee.

1st gen: We're gonna take you five losers and turn you into a group! But first you gotta sell 50,000 copies of this song in 5 days! Good luck!
2nd gen: You girls still aren't good enough...here are 3 more members!
3rd gen: We're adding two new members! Just kidding, we're adding one, and we're gonna promote the hell out of her!
4th gen: Singing group? You're an idol group, dammit! Here are 4 really young girls...and only one of them is a decent singer!
5th gen: This girl failed in everything we threw at her...let's add her in anyway!
6th gen: Who will win out of the 3 finalists? How about all of them! By the way, Miki's in the group now.
7th gen: Part 1: Nobody wins! Part 2: Koharu is our miracle girl!
8th gen: Let's add Chinese girls to our Japanese group!
9th gen: Sorry, Eggs, none of you got in...just kidding, Mizuki's in!
10th gen: 9th gen is off to a good start...let's have another audition!

Yeah, count me in as another person who thinks this audition is too soon. I also still feel uncomfortable with the lower age limit being that low. HOWEVER, if history is any indicator, this audition is still something to look forward to, because you really never know what's gonna happen and what management really has planned. With the Morning Musume name having lasted as long as it has, Tsunku must be doing something right.

P.S. I don't think Berryz or C-ute will be getting any new members. I'm just hoping neither group goes away any time soon; all these new, young girls need some veteran presence to guide them and keep things balanced out.

My 2 concerns with regards to the 12th gen audition:

1)Because Tsunku has founded his talented replacement for Reina in the from of Sakura, I fear this round UpFront Co. will seek girls that are purely in the J-Idol sense, types like Konno, Sayumi, Koharu, ikubo, & many members of AKB48 not named Mayu, Takahashi Minami, Masuda Yuka, or Kashiwagi i.e. dance/singing skills this time will really take the backseat

2) So what if by miracle we do get talented and/or skilled 12th gen-ers? The 15-16 year-old formula dictates that 2 Musumes will be in front hogging the camera & singing the lines, while the rest serve as supporting chorus vocals, dancing at the rear. It has always been like this since the days of Abe & Asuka. Occasionally another Musume gets 1-2 solo or chorus lines to her own, like Koharu & Mizuki. In other words, will we get to hear the 12 gen-ers, or will they be hidden so far back, we'll see Haruna's & Suzuki's shadows before seeing them?

Maybe they don't want to show faces at this point partly cuz this way fans won't get already too attached to girls that won't make it anyway (and will instead be later joining other auditions) lol

I loved it when we could watch one round of the S/mileage audition live! >_< shieeeet. I think those rounds would be over for Morning Musume by now though. Maybe? I have no idea.
