Oh baby they back. My first impression of the song was that it was an ok tune with some slightly annoying parts and I was surprised (though it was nice because it's T-ara) how everyone seemed to love it to bits. But after a few listens it has rather grown on me. The chorus especially has some nice moments. I could still do without the rehashed (though admittedly milder) duck techno and the old dude (T-ara's very own Tsunku?) in the backing vocals. Hyomin's trip to the attic [sic] is pretty bonkers, but good fun.
It's solid, but still a far cry from the best of the Day by Day EP or classic T-ara tunes. I'll be listening to it more and observing how the good old musical brain worm works, though.
The MV is hot stuff, no doubt about that. I was surprised that it wasn't the sprawling, epic drama version but actually a normal music video. I guess we're getting South Korea's entry for Academy Awards later on, then?
