btw BUMP OF CHICKEN and Acid Black Cherry also on January 18, so no chance for Oricon weekly ranking #1 and #2.
or if Idoling!!! can sell blistering 20000 copies more than DTF, they have chance to get #2 spot.

I prefer it over Don't Think. Feel!!! but it is not as catchy as Yarakai Heart, nor as energetic as Poolside Daisakusen. As a result, the song sounds a bit generic as a first impression.

It's not a bad song by any measure. The structure is good, albeit typical, and the melodies are nice. I especially like the slower parts at the beginning of the verse.

1) 4 version of singles.
2) 3 version of trading cards to be collected.
3) Each version comes with a handshake ticket that you can use to shake hands with all members at once (not individually).
4) Individual handshake tickets if you pre-order it or buy it during events.
5) Voting ID for 5th generation audition.
6) Price for the normal version is reduced from 1200 yen to 1000 yen.

I guess this confirms that Fonchi and Yazawa aren't involved in the new single since they aren't on the cover though I already expected this.

I really like this theme, and the fact that they put only 6 members on each makes you want to get all the versions a bit more. Otherwise it would just be the same members in a different position.

And we just need a badass PV with Rukaede driving a tank, Maipuru flying a helicopter, Suu-chan a judo drill instructor, Manami, Asahi & Sakacchi in a commando unit, what else can we think of? :lol:
Looking at the cover, I onl see Maipuru, Umeko, Asahi & Amimi wearing a hat, officers? :)

Post by: Jenus on December 15, 2011, 11:36:23 PM: Yeah they are obviously going for the "cool" look more so than the typical "cute" look, clearly influenced by the trend-setting AKB style. I don't know about the MAMORE song in particular, but the PV does remind me of AKB's RIVER.

Honestly, I really don't care what look they go for as long as the songs are good, but I haven't really liked any single song from Meniwa Aoba on with the exception of Poolside Daisakusen. I rather prefer the coupling songs without a doubt.

I don't know what it is, but the single songs lately just do not bring out the same level of emotion and soul out of me that they once did with such singles like Baby Blue, S.O.W., and Mujouken Kouhuku.

From a music enthusiast point of view, I think I prefer 9nine, Tomato n'Pine, and TokyoGirlsStyle a little better, which is a bad sign for Idoling, because last year there was no contest, Sunrise album and 3domeno Kinenbi owned it all. Well, Maipuru is still the best and she's the only reason I come back to Idoling songs time after time.

All in all, MAMORE really isn't so bad, I can live with it, I mean compare to any lame crap AKB spews out as single these days, MAMORE is still leaps and bounds better. Hopefully the tradition of coupling songs being excellent will continue, and looking at the song titles alone give me tremendous hope that it will.

The B-sides are arranged by Miyazaki Makoto (Mujouken Koufuku) so it should be different genre.

But it will be tough to reach top, because in the same day (1/18) is also the release day for Bump of Chicken new single "Good Luck". As we know, Bump of Chicken is currently one of the top J-rock band in Japan. H!P group Buono also release new single in the same day...

Same with me, they should find right time for releases. For example, PASSPO topped #1 weekly chart due to good timing, although they just sold 40K weekly (less than MAMORE single). Hard but not impossible.

Yeah. In theory you could sell every copy for 10 yen each, but it's way too time-consuming when it gets over 10+ copies. :lol:

I would've given them away to friends if any of them were even remotely interested in idols... lol

The full body ones are almost always more expensive. Most are around 315, up to 1500. Endo, Yokoyama, Morita and Okawa are the most expensive.
Don't know how much they go for in the auctions though...
