Speaking of this year's request concert :

Here is a clip of Sae, Jurina, and Misato peforming 奇跡は間に合わない / Kiseki wa Maniawanai
at the 2013 Most requested songs concert. (many thanks to DailyMotion poster hcinis_sayu !!)

Obviously this song is the signature song for Sae, and with Jurina in this performance's trio,
Misato is the least promoted member in the trio. But Misato performs superbly, and is grateful
that the song was so highly requested, and even shed some tears of joy during the post
song interview segment.

[Note: the rest of the tape is devoted to the surprise appearance of former dance teacher Natsu sensei,
but worth a watch to see Sae's grateful reaction to the surprise appearance of the their teacher who worked with
the first generation before they were big time]

Nonaka Misato has announced her graduation from AKB48.

She announced it during today's Anta Dare show.

Despite some super pretty photo shoots and a nationwide tour named after her she never really took off.

She was my pick for a possible JKT48 transfer. Guess I wasn't too far off. Something had to happen.

Even if she hadn't been thinking of graduating, imho Micha would be the last person to consider an overseas transfer.

As much as I love Micha, I think it's pretty obvious why she always was and would have been "just" a theater girl. She gets along well with other members and is well liked among them but overally she's shy and quiet, going at her own pace. Being in the spotlight seemed to make her really nervous. Also considering how little she has had work outside of the theater, she has been rather lazy updating G+ or blog.

Honestly speaking, I wish she wasn't graduating. She has been one of my top favorites in AKB since I became a fan of the group. Perfect balance of awkward and shy, drop dead gorgeous and - around certain people - wacky and strange... Not to mention her soft voice. However, it's hard NOT to understand her decision. Five years in pretty much the same position, from KKS to K to B. I'm happy that she got even that little bit of publicity with the nationwide tour. Even though she couldn't grab the chance, I hope she enjoyed the bit she got. There have been more unfortunate ones. lol

Probably unlikely but I hope she stays around until July handshake event. It would be nice to say goodbye face to face to one of my favorite idols.

卒業することは少し前から考えていた事で秋元先生やマネージャーさんに相談はしていました。
今回の組閣の事で卒業を決めたわけではありませんが、結果として、突然の発表によりファンのみなさんを驚かせることになってしまいました。ごめんなさい。

私がAKB48に入って５年たちました。大好きなAKB48に入ってたくさんの体験や経験、沢山のチャンスをいただいて充実した日々を過ごすことができました。

そんな場所で過ごした５年間は本当に幸せでした。沢山の方と出会い、沢山のことを吸収しました。
でも、いざ卒業発表をして、正直、今すごく怖いです。
でも、この卒業も自分で決めた決意で、その第一歩です。
自分を信じて頑張ります!!!

そしてAKB48として、実は今日で72回目という最多出演回数で大変お世話になり、また自分自身にとってもすごく思い入れのある番組である、「あんた、誰？」で自分の口から発表できる機会をいただけて嬉しかったです。

まだ卒業の日程は決まっていませんが、卒業する日まで大切に、一生懸命に楽しんで過ごします!!

Misato san is a wonderful young woman, and that's just it....
AKB48 is generally a Girl's Group, and Misato is 100% Woman...
She wasn't destined to stay in high school forever, but while a member
She made tons of friends and fans, and had a 100,000 watt smile.

She probably will move on to civilian life now, but it is a sure bet that
She will be bringing that sparkle wherever she goes!
