It is indeed lost in translation. The plural in Japanese is normally not used, unless the writer wants to especially put emphasis on it.
So it can be anything from 0 to 6 :-)

I'm wishing for another outdoor PV, with the girls in different environment doing the things they are supposed to do according to their costumes.
I thing the song would be great, something along the lines of I wish, which starts out slow and soft and then break out to frenzy state describing world peace. YAY!!
I thought risa, eri, miki, yossi's costumes were a little tad simple, should have picked nicer ones and something more colourful. Though i like risa's hairstyle. Same goes for reina, koha, mitsui, they need more variation to their uniforms. Sayu and Ai chan omgtheircostumespwnasses !! Sayu has to look the best among all the girls for this jacket shot!

I agree with this, but not the second part. The release date is Valentines Day... And maybe they think that with the release date plus having Nude in the title will get more males to buy it. It's possible!
But even if it's not, nude can mean a variety of different things. The title could be in the context of a simple smile!

I think they mean Naked Smiles or something XD it occurs to me that they (the Japanese) use the word nuudo(nude) more often than supopon(naked)(spelling?), so I find it natural for them to include that in a title XD

Yeah, I thought that's what most of us concluded in the end. The PV didn't look that awesome in the first place anyways. And Chokkan 2 had a pretty nice PV, though looked cheap as fuck.

Otome's 1st PV had them "nude" over the snow. February is still a snow time so maybe the PV got them in a snow storm in a forest and they are nude and alone like angels. That'd make a pretty PV.

Koharu's school uniform is much different than Reina's and Aika's.Other MM girls wear the same kinda outfit in pairs with the exception of Koharu. Miracle~XD

Fujimoto looks awesome and it seems style directors didn't like Mitsui a lot because she doesn't look well. She has this pretty air on her and she should be dressed in prettier clothes.

I'm not going to react to the outfits until I see the PV ones first, simple as that :D Eri in her 'frumpy suit', Ai and Sayu in their kimonos, etc. won't be able to use those to perform in concerts for sure, those would be hell to dance in, haha. Well I don't really think the newspaper would be wrong since we got confirmation from Tsunku and Hitomi themselves. But I agree, it's totally a must buy, only because it's the last one with Hitomi.

^ Haha, that was the FIRST thing that came to mind when I heard the name of the song, seriously-- Yossie's "ALL NUDE" line in that H!M episode with the trials. XD
And if I remember right, they did mention the same story on Utaban when they were split up into Sakura and Otome Gumi, where they talked about how the group went to Hawaii, Taka said he was in Hawaii at the same time and teased the girls by asking something along the lines of, "So, it would be fine if you were watched the whole time, right?" And then... I think it was Risa, Kago, and Yossie that were all, "OMFGWHAT?!?!" and explained what happened. XD
And, yeah. The song is so awesome. I love Risa and Yossie in it, and Aika's voice sounds SO GOOD, too. Love it!

I'm really really really surprised at how they suddenly have Gaki as a lead in a song. Backseat for Reina~ Aruiteru only had one solo for her, too! But wow, Gaki as a lead XD I really like it~, but the sudden pimpage for her this year (10nen thing, this single) seems strange!
But the rest of the lead voices are deeper, so Gaki really fits.. Maybe that's why she's doing it?
Micchi/Kusumi have really similar voices, too~

I've been waiting for a Gaki lead since I can remember. I absolutely love the distribution of lines. Aruiteru bugged me (for many reasons), but one of them being the real lack of everyone getting a chance to sing.

I think the chorus will take a little while to grow on me, but I really like the rest of the song, definitely something new and almost un-H!P/Momusu sounding. It's also really catchy! Gaki as a lead is awesome, she's got a good voice, I'm glad she's getting a push.
And I was really surprised by Aika, she's done well with this song, especially for someone extremely new to the group! Now I'm extremely keen to see the PV and the choreography for it.

My Gods. I have found a new favorite song. I can't put my love for this in words.
This makes me, so so so so so happy! Yossi, Miki, and Risa + Ai is like the best thing ever. I've been waiting for a song like this forever. Everything about this is perfect for me, and has renewed my love for Morning Musume further. I can definatly say this has made me truly accept Mitsui in the group.
I can't wait for a PV and to see what else this awesome year brings out.

This song ROCKS!!! The title is...meh...but the song is a great song for a debut/graduation single. It's catchy and has Yossie, Miki, and Risa + Ai lead. Especially the parts where Yossie/Miki and Risa/Ai sing together. Sounds great. Only problem is that Eri got shafted. Other than that this is a great single to start the year off with. Keep it up!!!

Hey I love the song! Good stuff Morning Musume! And yeah Aika definitely suprised me, she sounds pretty good in the song, way better than what I would have expected from her. I'll admit I wasn't feeling her auditions and thought they were crazy to pick her as the sole 8th gen member but Tsunku may just have been right about her pick, let's see how she progresses from here, but from her part in the song she sounds good!

This is the best MM song in a long while. It totally has a strong '2nd gen' vibe about it, which is clearly a very good thing. Based on a lot of recent HP stuff and now this, it really feels like Tsunku is working hard to get his game back up there musically. Or maybe he's just happier these days. Who knows?

Eri has very short (and few) lines (some of the demo ne/lovely echoes, and one other line before the last set of choruses, I think), so it was probably Aika you're thinking of! :D
I thought the same thing too, when I first heard it. I was listening really close to pick out all the girls' voices, and when I heard Aika, I couldn't believe how awesome she sounded! XD

Phew, I managed to pre-order both versions and the single-v! The B edition was actually sold out on CDJAPAN, so I freaked a little (I really want the booklet), but thank you to good ol' Amazon I managed to get it :heart:

I'm glad that there was a partial shift in lines, they needed a different line up. It was getting boring hearing all the same people in the songs. x.x; Aika sounds kinda like Risa.
I like this song, I think they finally have the right people in the leads, although it's kinda odd that Koharu didn't get many lines since she's one of the better singers, but meh. I'm just glad Yossi and Risa got lots of lines this time around. X3

XD!!! That was funny! Aika's super pretty in that, and I LOVE how they played the Darth Vader theme when Yossie walked in on Sayumi, Eri, and Ai talking.
Also, I think the deal with Aika's "hurting" during the chorus-- my guess is that she may be doing the humming to keep in time with dancing. It could be a little cue to help her out (and not as visible as mouthing 8 counts, which can sometimes be a tough habit to break for some new dancers) and get the dance, because she does sing out when she actually has to and doesn't hold back like that.

I notice that the white fill-in for the circle cut-out is at a different level in the two outfits of Mikitty and Takitty in the above pic. Could it be that they are wearing some kind of boob-tube under the outfit and it just sits differently? Or the costume-makers have adjusted the white fill-in according to the boobage of each member? It really looks to me like the fill-in was an afterthought to the original design cos perhaps the design revealed more than was intended? Hmmmm...

Eh, not really impressed. I never much was a fan of the "Ambitious" PV and this look its going to be another one. This is only an preview, who knows, suprises might be in store for us when the full PV comes but I'm not expecting anything beyond the dnace/close up and repeat but that may not be a bad thing for most of y'all.
Atleast the outfits aren't as bad as those horrible yellow "Ambitious" outfits and they look hot.

Sayonara no Kawari ni sounds like a graduation song. It's nice, kinda balances out the craziness of Egao. I'm sure once I get the cd, I'll like the song more. Radio rips never do the songs any great justice.
The pv preview for Egao is pretty much what I was hoping for! Something Melodies-esque, with dancing, lots of Yossi, etc.. :ONwriggly:
I kinda knew not to expect too much more, with how the pvs have been in the past year..but this is great so far. :D

Damn, 8 days to release and no god damned pv? not even a 2 minute preview? This is soooo killing me.
I usually don't anticipate singles much, they just arrive... When aruiteru was released I was like: so soon?... nice. And I listened to it the next day.... But somehow I just can't wait for this time!!
At least we'll have some performances this weekend (or so I think). And I DO love this song, I'm trying really hard not to listen to the radio preview (too much) and wait for the real thing! :P

The purple outfits are way overrated... The gloves are awesome and are a nice touch. But that's all there pretty much is. The rest is simple and uninspired. I like skirts so I guess that's alright, but the tops just look tacky. I'm really don't care for the fake snake skin patent leather disco ball pattern shit. The boots suck too. It seems they just went cheap on us and just made them wear the concert outfits or something using the least amount of material as possible without making it sluty. If they were just concert costumes, I'd be fine with them, but single/PV outfits are usually pretty nice. But then again I seem to be the only one that loved the yellow Ambitious dresses... but what the hell do I know about fashion... <_<
The PV... the girls looks great, but what the hell can you make of it from 8 seconds? :lol: The dance shot looks pretty nice, It looks like they actually tried moving cameras. Yeah it's silver like in Ambitious, but it looks like the set actually has a purpose for being the way it is. I don't expect much from it anyways. Looks hot though.
BTW, the hand looks like Miki's.
The b-side has a nice melody and isn't bad at all. Nothing too special though. It's better than all the crap b-sides they've been releasing the past couple years. I can help but feel though... that once Ai and Miki graduate... the group's vocal ability would really be no better than Berryz... :lol:

I also find the b-side quite soothing, it's got a nice melody and I just generally really like the song. And I agree that it nicely balances out the fast-paced beat of 'Egao'.

Ohh that was a pretty nice performance, the set was pretty weak for it being Utaban though. The choreography was pretty nice, a nice balance of funk, pop, and some hip-hop-ish stuff. Best dance for a single since Irojire. My only problem with it was that some of them looked kinda awkward doing some of it, especially the bad dancers like sayu. But even Reina looked weird in some parts and she's usually pretty sharp at dancing.
Still dling the talk segment... It kinda dissappoints me that they have to have other guest come along with them whenever they're on the show :/

Damn I absolutely LOVED every second of this performance, one of the best I saw them doing, it was a fun dance, great singing (specially takkity, mikkity, risa, reina), sexy costumes, and all the girls were beautiful.
The song is even better now that I listen to a high quality source, cool, catchy song!
I'm still waiting for the PV, but this shall calm me for the time being (and we have more performances coming soon!!!)

One thing I like about this video is the rolling around the sheets part. Also the paint at the end and especially everyone dancing around Aichan. Overall this video is way better than Aruiteru by a mile. I thought the "yes" at the beginning was said by Aika..but it's Eri? Didn't see that coming.

that was a pretty nice video o_o. Simple, yet they did just about everything right. Even the dance shots were filmed well. It helped cover up the bad parts. It is similar to ambitious I guess, but without the suck. :lol: The paint thowing thing was a little weird but I guess it added a little psychedelic feel to the following shots.
After seeing the whole PV it's understandable that the dance shot wouldn't really work that well.
The only thing I didn't like about the PV was Micchi... This would have been perfect as the last 8-nin single. Thank god it atleast it didn't show her trying to be hot... but she was total BK.
Edit: I noticed something else... It looks like there are lines of coke on the clear table XD I figured out they were just paint tubes. I guess that also adds to the 70's psychedelic feel of it :lol:

The easy solution is to continue seeding the torrents you do complete to improve your ratio.
Up until about 4 months ago I just leeched and ran for the most part from H!O, and my share ratio reflected that, being only around 0.2. Sometimes I'd seed a bit, but usually only for a day or two at the most. Anyway, I had actually heard rumours from someone there (can't remember who, to be honest), that they were thinking of implementing a ratio requirement, so I just starting seeding more, especially popular files like the H!M eps as well as the DVD rips, and ISOs that they've posted there. Hell, I was seeding the ISOs for Ribbon no Kishi for about 6 weeks non-stop. :lol: Now I'm somewhere around 1.03 so there are no delays for me. :yay:
The moral of the story, seed, seed, SEED. In the end everybody wins. :yep:

And now my perceptions about the PV:
First time I watched I was kind of dissapointed half way of the video, specially since the dancing was so great on the utaban performance, but the girl touching got my attention :D
Then I watched it a couple more times and I like it, it has low budget but it has a better camera work than previous PVs, shows some reeeeally nice closeups. Did you notice that sayu touching the bed is really... suggesting?? :P
Also all the girls look beautiful in it (and absolutely HOT!), and Takkity ownz!

Watched it through.. I'm a little disappointed. Great song, cool dance but the same outfit actually makes it feel mono- it totally cheapens the effect of the outfit during the dance scenes. Where the girls were laying around, would it have killed them to give them like, some sort of simple dress or something? Anything to break up the scenes and give them more contrast else everything blends in together as little too much.
Otherwise, I really liked it but the same colors over and over made it less exciting.

There's plenty of color... they're not really the brightest of colors but there's lots of it in the background. Also the paint splashes adds some bright colors. I already said that the paints were sorta psychedelic in a previous post. You also have to take into account that this video is shit quality and that also affects the coloring. It's most likely the colors will be alot bolder and stuff in a better quality version.
Also the streamers and the huge light ball in the dance shot was like a reverse disco ball. Light goes off the ball and bounces off the silver surrounding making some interesting lighting effects.

You can't expect too much color after Sexy boy PV. It had a really bad use of white, unlike in Souda we're alive or some other PVs. Since Osaka Koi no uta they have been using the same outfits in PVs, but in Chokkan 2 it wasn't too obvious because they were all colourful.
The rolling was nice, but if they've used some scenes like this one (http://i1.tinypic.com/2monvyf.jpg), they would have add much hotness in the PV.

I'm sorry, but all the people that say that the lack of color is because this video site has no good encoding and stuff like that: the PV was shot like that, with that washed out colors atmosphere. Check other videos at the Dohhh UP site, the colors are ok. Remember the preview some days ago? It has the same colors.

It'll look a lot better in the VOB. However, even if the color is still dull, it's really easy to fix between adjusting the contrast and saturation levels. ;)

I can't believe some people are complaining about silly little details in this PV. To me this is the first Momusu PV in ages that I want to watch more than once! So all the ridiculous complaints, I just don't get them. It's not very colourful? Who cares!! It's not super high budget? Who cares!!! There are paint splashes? What about them?!?
I'm loving how the dance parts have been shot, loving the rolling on the sheets, loving how everyone looks fricking gorgeous, oh yeah and the song is awesome. I can't believe some people are complaining about silly little details in this PV. To me this is the first Momusu PV in ages that I want to watch more than once! So all the ridiculous complaints, I just don't get them. It's not very colourful? Who cares!! It's not super high budget? Who cares!!! There are paint splashes? What about them?!?

Definitively, this PV reminds me a lot Ambitous!, Elegies and Ai no sono...
But it's a very catching song (better than Aruiteru T__T), and I like the dance and the costumes.

the silver streamers didn't annoy me too much. the song and dance also makes up for it, so its cool. like someone mentioned on the irc, everybody had this sexy look in their eyes while aika had this puppy dog look which is damn cute.

I don't care much for the PV, though. I have to say I prefer the Utaban performance over the PV. The crazy 70's disco-esque stage props on Utaban suited the song and dance and everything a lot better than the silver tinsel and washed out boring colours of the PV. @_@;
The PV reminds me of the Manpower!!! PV, except... this one doesn't work as well (in my opinion) because flashes of light and odd paint splashing is not as interesting as watching the girls bite in to different vegetables/fruits/whatever xD;

But in H!P there are some who can, if I'm not mistaken I think Takahashi Ai can do it, there may be others but I think her heard her voice clearly saying Lovely instead of Lobely.

Pretty much. Just listen to most Japanese when they pronounced "DVD", like when Yaguchi did it on an Utaban Mini Moni appearance. "DEE-BWEE-DEE"

Maybe. It may also be the way they pronounce it, since the lyrics have it written as "raburi". Remember in japanese neither the V nor the L sound exist. Every time there's an L in a word it is replaced by an R, pronounced more or less like an english speaking person would in the word "Variety" or "Paradise", so "raburi" would be for an english speaking person "rah-booh-reeh" pronouncing the R as in Variety. That way when you say it fast enough, it sounds like "lovely"

Yes, the Oricon ranking is based on the combined sales of all the editions. That's why all editions have the same track listing, else they would've been different singles.
Jbook (http://www.jbook.co.jp/p/p.aspx/bun_realrank_11/) lists the different editions on their chart. Yet it is Oricon who is still considered the ranking authority in Japan. If it is said that a single got number one, it is on the Oricon chart.

Oha Star and Music Fighter are two of the reasons why I dislike Utaban now. See? The girls were fun on these 9 minutes and something they had to talk. In MF, they're also pretty good to watch, me loves~
Utaban lives in the past. They had their jokes with the older girls and might not know how to come up with new ones for the current Morning Musume. That's why they've been sucking a lot, imo.

Went a spot up today -> #20. It's still below the second week of Aruiteru, but that week there was no major release other than MM. Current week is heavier. So they're doing a nice job climbing up :)

Ok, so I think they lightened the colors a little bit for the DVD. It's still dark, but purple stands out. The Dance Shot doesn't have the annoying streamers in the way because they filmed a one-angle dance shot. But the thing is that you can't see Eri or Sayu in the dance-shot because they are WAY in the back. Kind of a annoying really. Ok, making of.. they put in a more complete version of the photo shoot even if they did put it on the LE DVD. But hey, they all look hot! XD I'm still not done watching the DVD, so I'll update this later!
