Figured I'd post about this here cos I got daigong all excited over IRC too  XD

Okay, at first I was thinking this was all a hoax since Australia isn't really a place you'd think artists would come to... but apparently, it's LEGIT this time!

As of now, I'm in on this!!

New info is going to be up on August 1, so look out for it.

I'm going to need  plan for getting tickets. Not sure if I'd be able to camp out for tickets. I seriously doubt it.

KIDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDS!

How excitement!!! :w00t:

Before I forget to ask this, what are you guys thinking in terms of sitting? Seeing I was gonna try to save up to go overseas and see at least SNSD and now I don't need to spend all that money, Imma spoil myself with a VIP ticket. What are you guys thinking. Do we get to sit together? :( As in are we gonna try to buy together.
Defty, I can buy yours when I buy mine and others if we're gonna aim to sit together.

My mum wants to stay at whatever hotel the big names are at regardless of price (thanks mum seeing I have to pay LOL) but I don't know how imma figure that out seeing I can't even find any legit info about where SHINee stayed last time LOL. Australia and our fail stalkers :P

About the size of the stadium, was thinking they probably won't using all the seats coz then the stage would need to be in the centre and they would need a 360 degree concert, plus 83000 is waaaaaaay too big for Australia xD So, we welcome all you other hipsters to rob banks and come too~

UPDATEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

So, I been talking to lots of people, trying to get as many connections through connections through connections through connections as possible and they're saying many interesting things. I've decided to write down a few for you but "RUMOUR" is key word here, guys

Because it's a "FESTIVAL", the acts won't be THAT long. Unfortunately, rumours have it that each artist will only perform 2 songs.
I'm gonna try to keep my hopes up and keep thinking that JK Ent will make it more concert-like.

Also, as for ticket prices. Since nothing was confirmed, people are throwing prices all over the place @_@
But as for now, the craziest rumour is tickets will go up to $350. And I'm also gonna dismiss that and keep assuming $300 will be VIP tickets.

AND, as for stalking... I think the best way is to stalk it out from airport to hotel. But... you know... that's time consuming and kinda crazy xD

One last thing, there's a possibility of some sort of day event (since its a festival and all) where there MAY be fan signing events... or something. BUT even if there IS something like that (which I highly doubt but anyway...), it'll be pricey. And you have to pay for each artist you go to.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OR SO I'VE HEARD xD

Will let you know if there's anything else xD

Probably doing that anyway~ lol

Thanks for the info Cazza. I should probably ask people myself about what they know is going on but I don't want to just jump on them for info xD

Oh and about the two songs each artists, thats pretty much what I expect 2-3 and then all com eout at the end for one or two songs. I wuld be surprised if it were more.

Alrighty~ Looks like VIP tickets will be between $230-$300 which includes standing areas and seating VIP area.

Here is the tentative seating plan

(http://s3.amazonaws.com/twitpic/photos/large/362381862.jpg?AWSAccessKeyId=AKIAJF3XCCKACR3QDMOA&Expires=1312279192&Signature=na5GRGl%2BGh%2Fx%2B9Sff5%2BJFRYTVvI%3D)
(click here (http://twitpic.com/5zr3mu) when the above pic link breaks (I can't be bothered re-upping).

No word on what General admission prices would be yet, or I haven't seen.

I'm pretty hell bent on VIP areas for myself, just not sure which would be better, standing or seating. At fast I'm all for standing but then being the shortass that I am, if I can't push my way to the edges, am i gonna ruin my experience being surrounded by tall people when I could have sat right in front of the second stage? idk~ :(

If you're short then seating is better if you're tall then you can see everything as long as the stage isn't too high which sometimes it is then seating is muuuch better.

Hmm it looks like we gotta go through these guys for VIP tickets :3 http://www.facebook.com/pages/AuS2one/175965762443590 (http://www.facebook.com/pages/AuS2one/175965762443590)

Quote from some dude on Soompi
"Hello Yes Aus2one are handling all the Standing and Sitting Vip orders"

*sigh* It's kinda annoying how they let fanclubs handle tickets for the good seats. To me it seems like it could get a little dodgy with friends of friends getting dibs on the good seats.
but oh well if that's how it is, that's how it is. I was keen to try get something front row in one of the sections but I'm beginning to not really care too much about that XD seeing as those seats are most likely already gone by now anyway.

Another quote from Soompi
Quote
Just an update for the people who would like to come to the Sydney Kfest in Sydney Nov 12th 2011
We have started to do bulk orders for sones if you would like to join us at the concert please email admin@aus2one.com
so far there are 300 Sones so far who would be together at this concert.
This is for all countries that would like to go.

 Please email your

 name:
 qty:
 country/state:
Fangroup you want to sit with:
Vip Standing pool or Vip Sitting:
 Email:
 Contact:

So do you guys all wanna order together? VIP is gonna be expeensiiive and ordering like this we don't really know what row we'll end up in if we go seats. It's up to you guys, I'm happy with seats or standing but if you're short, standing will probably suck :3
If anyone wants to they can pay me back later if they need to save up or something it's cool.

Just thinking now though, I'm going with 2 other people (my bro and his friend) I'm actually thinking we (us dudes) might be best to go standing and leave seats for others who need them, plus we'll probably jump around spazzing lots for SNSD xD so it might not be a good idea in the seats cause we'd block ppls view.

Hmm also this whole fan sections thing they're trying to organise is annoying me xD it's not even an SMTOWN concert and they wanna section everyone into Sonebros and Cassietrons (or whatever they're called) Is there a 4minute or Miss A section??? Cause I wanna be in those ones! :p I'm just sayin' hehe why can't everyone just get their own tickets and all have fun at this KPOP (not smtown) concert. Fan sections is just blargh hmm wonder if there is even a Miss A Aus fanclub lol maybe we need to start one. No wait SECRET! and KARA :o Now I'm just realising how awesome this concert is going to be even if SNSD wasn't going. KARA IS AWESOME! SHIIIT I'M GONNA SEE SEUNGYEON! ^____^ I LOVE SEUNGYEON! ggaaaaaaaaaah extreme spazzing just kicked in haha! WE GOTTA FIND OUT WHEN KARA LANDS AT THE AIRPORT I WANNA SEE THEM!

NICOOOOOOLLLLEEEE!!! :twothumbs

Yeah Dave, miss A have a fanclub called Say A, I think. I'm all for going with HiPstaz, even though I know a few friends and friends of friends who are going. I've never actually been to a concert before, so I don't know the best way to book. The logical part of me thinks I should sit because I'm not exactly tall, but at the same time I really want to stand because it'll make me feel like I'm where the action is. Looking at the seating plan, I think I'll go for standing!! I'm willing to spend for this because I never thought we'd get a proper K-pop music festival here.

I kind of want to make signs for most of the groups, because I like so many of them. All that's missing for me in this lineup is T-ara. Some day, some day :D

On another note, seeing as this is on a Saturday, does anyone want to do something before the concert during the day? Maybe a barbecue in a park (that has barbecues, preferably) or a restaurant if we're not eager to cook and organise food? Just a thought!

I am so mega pissed off about all the VIP tickets going with Aus2one. I don't want to sit in an effing fangroup coz yeah I'm a big SNSD fan but I'll most just as big a fan of other groups coming too. Apparently KARA, miss A and Secret have like no one asking to sit in a group for them, so what is the freaking point? Like I get the lovely idea of splitting into fangroups, but when you only have a few groups with lots of fans coming, wouldn't it be better to have the lightsticks spread out not like in one section where the grouped fans are and then another section for just general fans. IDK, just so annoyed lol. All is far in love and war and I don't feel like I should have to fight against one huge fan run group that is buying for ALL bulk orders. And if they are the only ones getting the VIP tickets to sell, that's even worse. But as soon as ticketek have info up I'll try contacting them about how they are selling VIP, and if they even are. I actually have a friend who is part of the aus2one team so I will prob talk to her about it too.

Atm I'll be coming with one other online friend who I told to join jphip but she hasn't xD and we're both planning to sit, and I have to tell my rl friend about the price and once I do I have a massive feeling she won't be coming, fair enough, she isn't a massive fan and thats a huge amount of money to pay when you don't care THAT much. But pretty sure she'll still come for like airport stalkage fun 8D

All I know for sure right now (besides that I want, although may not be able to get, amazing VIP seating tickets) is that I want to do as much as I possibly can with hipsters, even if we can't be with each other for the concert itself  Excited that we get to show Davey around Sydney properly now too :w00t:

*needs seating plan*

So my mum has been emailing JKent, trying to find out if all VIP will be sold through the aus2one thing and it was confusing, but no, as far as we can tell from what they were saying, there will be VIP sold through ticketek, but numbers are limited considering its VIP so they were basically saying good luck xD
They did however say that to help ensure you get a VIP seat, to email JKent for a 'group booking' request and they will contact directly to work with that and confirm the booking. But I don't know how many is considered to be a "group" but its definitely something for us to consider.  It actually sounds like the exact same thing JKent are doing for aus2one, so they lie when they say all group bookings have to go through them  And we should be able to say we want a group booking with x amount of standing and x amount of seating tickets, its still group. I do however have some reservations about it coz what seats you get then pretty much leaves your power completely, from what I can tell, JKent will just deal with all the group bookings and tell you where you are sitting as opposed to taking the risk through ticketek, seeing what seats they can offer you, conversing with others and seeing which is the better seat offer and taking it. Does that make any sense? XD

The email from JKent was pretty confusing, so its even more confusing having to explain it lol

Post by: ebc on August 08, 2011, 01:18:17 PM
I'd like to see a proper seating plan as well. I did see some kind of seating diagram but it seemed to only have labeled the sections for VIP and that was it. But not every section can be VIP I mean it's nearly $300 unless Aussie fans are all rich o.o
What would be the point of VIP if everyone got VIP, you could end up in the back row of somewhere and right behind you are people who payed a $100 less. Although I guess that's the same with any concert but if you think about it in a way you might be better off risking it and just going for Gold section tickets on Ticket Tek aiming for front row. At least then you know you'll probably have a decent view.

Ah, all getting too much for me :3 I just want them to sell the tickets properly and all at once, first in best dressed rather than all this fan grouping.

Argh I know! Its all coming across as incredibly bad organisation. I don't know what they are trying to do, coz they sure aren't making it easier >___<
They seem friendly enough though, and good at communication so I think I'll email them and see if they'll be announcing any 'sponsor' hotels that might be putting up acts and drop hints to them that its a successful marketing ploy in other countries in hopes they decide to take it on board LOL

I'm thinking that if we are going to buy tickets as a group, that we should also try getting our non-HiPsta friends in on it, to make our group more sizable. I have a friend from uni who I've been talking to a bit about this. Not sure what her plans in terms of seating are.

Just a thought here - how about we try getting some JPHiP merch together for any artists we might run into?

^ Yeah if we gonna purchase as a group and by that way, will DEFINITELY get the VIP tickets, I know a few of my friends will definitely want in on this. But only if VIP is definitely possible.

So much spassing around me about this right now lolol

From Aus2one "we did take 1500 of the vip area .. hopefully ssf can get sone of the remaining 500 and beat the other fanclubs that are also doing bulk ordering. There are about 4 other fan clubs at are doing bulk but we are the biggest bulk ordering"
SSF are only ordering for the standing area & atm it looks like they have 124 for their bulk order.

My heart... I hate how this is freaking organised! So stressful.
Title: Re: K-POP Music Festival in Sydney, Australia 2011
Post by: Deft-Monkey on August 10, 2011, 01:17:04 PM
I think it's too early to be getting pissy about this. At the very least, we can expect to go hard to get our tickets. Now's the time to organise our shit, so to speak.

So what, we get confirmed VIP tickets before the tickets officially go on sale if we get a sufficient group together and contact JK Ent? How about we start off not going for huge numbers, try ringing together at least 20 people or so and then email JK Ent? If they get back to us at least, that's something.

^ Well that's kinda strange...

Jkent will totally get back to us, they are really good with that, or have been so far. I have two tickets I need, potentially 3 but I doubt it. I'm not sure about the group booking for seating though. As Dave said, you could end up paying $100 more for one row closer and at least if its bought through ticketek you can see the seats they can offer you and go "screw that" and pay $100 for the row behind.
The scariest thing is always the unknown lol. For those wanting standing, totally think trying to round up enough for group booking would be a good idea.
Title: Re: K-POP Music Festival in Sydney, Australia 2011
Post by: Deft-Monkey on August 11, 2011, 08:15:53 AM
I think I'm at the point of not caring about whether I stand or sit. People I talk to all want to sit, so I might be more inclined towards sitting now, heh heh.

I don't mind going for gold class tickets, with a higher chance of getting towards the front of that seating section. It would still be great to get VIP tickets, but I won't lose hair having to go for gold because VIP is sold out.

Now I kinda want my VIP tixx again... just for MBLAQ xDD
I'm so confused over what I want, I'll just decide on August 31st and let fate decide hahah

Too much thinking, if I bump into them on the streets however... heh
Title: Re: K-POP Music Festival in Sydney, Australia 2011
Post by: Deft-Monkey on August 11, 2011, 02:23:21 PM
I'm back to definitely wanting VIP tickets. Whether or not getting gold/VIP makes little difference, I never truly expected there to be a proper K-pop concert in Australia, let alone this year. I understand why people wouldn't get VIP as it's not cheap by any stretch, but I'm going to go all out for the concert seeing as I don't need to spend money on accommodation. My friend from uni has about 6 friends who want to go and I seem to have started unintentionally converting another friend to K-pop, but I don't think he'll be willing to pay so much for this concert

So yeah, as it stands until I change my mind suddenly again, I'm going for seating tickets in the VIP area, if possible.
Title: Re: K-POP Music Festival in Sydney, Australia 2011
Post by: lollipopgirl on August 11, 2011, 02:40:51 PM
^ So thats 7 VIP seating tickets you want for sure? and I want 2 for sure. Well that alone is 9, and it would be awesome to sit together but may be hard to do with all these other group bookings, so tonight/tomorrow I'll email JKent and ask them if they can at all hint to how many VIP tickets are already reserved/how many will be going up on Ticketek, how the group booking works and how many is needed for a 'group booking'. Doesn't hurt to ask even if we don't go with a group booking coz its dodgy or something lol. Fingers crossed I'm not too lazy/scared to actually do that LOL.
Title: Re: K-POP Music Festival in Sydney, Australia 2011
Post by: lilcazza on August 12, 2011, 03:34:44 AM
^ If JKent get back to you on how many numbers they need for group booking that will definitely get us the VIP tickets, I'm pretty sure I can gather some of my friends too. So long as they definitely have VIP left and we can purchase it for sure.

Even if its hard to sit together, we can... we'll think of something xD

If they take people off the line up again... rawrz.
If they add people however...  :w00t:

^ I wouldn't mind watching everyone else rage & pull out while I get their good seats to see G.O., queen Fei, KARA, Sistar, Hyuna, Gayoon and all the other tasty people coming, up close 8D lol

Anyway, about to email JKent but just saw this before I do so as well.

Quote
Hi everyone! My name's Niki and I'm currently working for JK Entertainment. I'm handling all the group bookings being made by fangroups, so I thought I'd come here to help you all out if you wanted to make a booking!

You can reach me at niki@jkent.com.au if you wanted to organize anything (that is, unless you've already gone through aus2one or any of the other fangroups) and I'll help make sure you all get the seats you want!

Just an extra note too, I'm aiming to have a decent finalization by next week Friday (that would be 19/08/11) so hopefully you'll know if you want to book before then!

Otherwise hope we all get along :)

Also just saw that Aus2one are handling tickets for those who don't want to sit with a fangroup, had no idea about that before, & are about to start a 2nd round of ticket orders "through" them so there is that option as well. They have also reserved a lot more sitting tickets than I was expecting, shite. Sadly, there are absolutely no fangroup bookings for KARA, miss A or 4Minute and only two people for Secret (at least through aus2one, I don't know about the fanforums).

So I will email this Niki dude now and ask how it works... what is the point of selling through ticketek?! Its also still not on the ticketek website which seems odd to me if they go on sale in less than a month.

EDIT: Email sent.

So the reply was fast but totally unhelpful and just made me think "..."

Quote from: my email
Hello Niki,

I hear that you are in charge of the group bookings for the Sydney K-pop festival through JK Entertainment and I have a few questions in regards to how the group bookings work.

Myself and a few friends are general Kpop fans and aren't looking to sit in a 'fangroup' but would still love to experience the concert together. We were planning to purchase through Ticketek when they go on sale on September 1st but have seen the large number of tickets reserved through fangroups for the VIP sections are becoming concerned about the actual number of tickets for the VIP section that will be available for sale through Ticketek. Would you be able to inform us roughly of the number of VIP tickets that will still be available for purchase on September 1st, or will the only VIP tickets be available for purchase through prior group bookings?

Also, how many people are considered to be a 'group' for a group booking and how exactly do the group bookings work? Some of my friends are still deciding between VIP seating or Gold tickets and we are wondering if you have a seating plan to help with this decision, or if you know when a seating plan will be available? Lastly, if we do decide to make a group booking, will you be contacting us with the available seat numbers/positions we can purchase before we confirm our booking?

Sorry for all the questions, I am sure you have a lot of emails with similar questions coming in. We are all incredibly excited and grateful for this amazing opportunity you and everyone at JK Entertainment have been able to provide. Being a Kpop fan myself for five years, I never once thought I would have the chance to see any of my favourite artists here in Australia, let alone so many of them. Thank you so much for your ongoing hardwork and I appreciate any help you can provide :)

Thank you,
Katie.

Hi Katie!

I understand your concern for getting VIP tickets, they are after all quite popular already! As we don't currently have a limit for booking number, feel free to send a request in to info@jkent.com.au as per the FAQ sheet and we can book you regardless of how many tickets you'd like. Even if it's only a few, we can still list you!

Seating plans have yet to be confirmed unfortunately, which is also stopping me from having a complete number for the VIP tickets, and I'm not sure exactly when we'll have a complete layout to show. Generally though, expect VIP sitting to be literally next to the stage, while Gold seating would be close, but not as fantastically close as the VIP would be.

Hope that helped, but feel free to mail again if you have any other problems.

So essentially, they are booking all these VIP tickets and not even sure if they can fit all over them in the VIP area?

Ok, what do you guys think?

Also, was gonna look up shirt printing places. I know there isn't many of us so not sure if you guys would be interested. Do you want to look into custom jphip for this event?

^ I think it's worth trying for VIP, personally.

I'll need to talk to my friend about if she wants to book with us. Not sure if she'll be iffy about booking with people off a forum.

I'm up for a new shirt!! :jphip:

Okie~ Dave and I were talking and he calmed down my rage with smart thinking

"ok let's try to get seats
that way we can hide cameras
and if we get in a group we can make banners for each group and hold them up"

Werd!

So Cazza & Defty, you guys were after seats anyway right? Do you guys want to do a jphip group booking directly through JKent? Thank god for trusty visa debit, as long as we gather the money onto them before payment, it doesn't matter how big the order is seeing they have no limit.
I'll make a list here with the number of tickets we each need so we can confirm numbers before booking with JK.

Me x4
Dave x3
Defty x2
Cazza x10

So let me know how many you guys want, as soon as you can, and you can change it before we book if you need to ask more people. I need to ask more myself, but 3 is the confirmed number I know I need.
Then we can group book VIP seats for JPHIPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP, show love to all the groups there and make daddy daigong proud :hipheart:

I have a few JPH!P SONE shirts that I need to give out. Otherwise I was probably going to make a few shirts with iron on transfers. Printing places are quite expensive for cool designed shirts unless you get a bulk order or like 20 or more.

We could make some extra shirts for the artists? XD

EDIT: Okay, well I left my friend a message and I'm just waiting on a response now. I was texting Zay on my way back and there's nothing definite because she's saving up for when she goes to NYC at the end of the year. She says she really wants to come and that we'll talk about it later.

And die when others get on stage too but you know... Mblaq!

No idea if I can even afford T-shirts after this VIP thing D;

Lol yeah of course, I saw your FB demand to your friends xD
Take all weekend at least to talk to everyone. SSF are closing orders tomorrow but they are only doing standing anyway. Aus2one are taking orders until Wednesday and JKent wants it all before Friday, so if we can email them before Wednesday, we'll get to them before the 2nd batch of aus2one. No point really emailing them until Sunday night at least anyway, they won't see it till Monday so yeah, don't kill anyone to reply to you tonight XD

Well, most of the friends I asked don't really want to spend so much for VIP, so they don't want in. My uni friend hasn't gotten back to me for about 4 days now and it looks like she's already got a plan with her friends, so I think it'll just be the one ticket for me.

Oh and Defty, Chris' lesbian lover wanted to know if he was coming, I assumed not? lol

I thought CL went overseas? If she wants him to come, I can ask him. Essentially, if I give him an invitation, he will inevitably accept XD

And these tickets are most probably gonna be legit right? xD
Title: Re: K-POP Music Festival in Sydney, Australia 2011
Post by: lollipopgirl on August 16, 2011, 04:57:01 AM
^ Group booking SHOULD mean we'd be all in the same area, but we can specify that we want to be when we book so they know. I can't imagine tickets being any more legit then coming straight from the company running it all~ But if we don't hear back from them by August 31st, feel free to buy from ticketek on Sep 1st and say "eff you" to the group order.

So all the numbers are confirmed. Dave, still 3? Caz, you included yourself in the 10 right, just to be sure :P

This pretty much answers every question that I had http://www.kpopmusicfest.com.au/faq.php (http://www.kpopmusicfest.com.au/faq.php)

I'll get sent a pre-sale link on the 26th (and if I don't I will immediately email them saying biatch where is it?!) & then on the 28th at 9am, I will be on to get us the bestestestest seats we can.

Soooo, next step is to talk about payment. We've got a week to organise it all before we buy the tickets, but any bank transfers should be quick and easy being in the same country and all. I can give you guys my bank details or paypal. Bank account might be easier for y'all seeing its large sums of money. Caz, do you think you wrestle the money out of your friends by the end of the week?

Oh so anyone can pretty much hit up the presales? Worrying for no reason? xD

YAYYYY! BESTESTESTESTESTEST SEATS PLEASEEEEE~~~
Closer to stage. CLOSERRRRRR!

And the wrestling will be very difficult but I can try. If not, I'll pay first and then make them pay me back later. Hopefully.
I think bank transfer is the easiest for us all :)

I don't have any particular shirt design ideas in mind, but how about something with the JPH!P logo that says 'Sydney K-POP Music Fest 2011' as well as the names of the performing artists, if we can fit them?

^Still the same mobile number? I shall text you~

@Cazza: Thats a lot of money for you to pay and hope they pay you back, like a lot! From what I gather with the FAQ, I'm not locked in to buy the number of tickets that we said in the first place, so we can do that if they haven't paid you by then we don't get the tickets for them? Now with the preorder it seems anyone can login at preorder time and get tickets themselves so you should probably check with them if they still want to sit with all of us or are now planning to do it themselves~
I'm cool with whatever you want to do :)

"Ticketek procedures will still apply, so factor in the possibility of having to go through multiple transactions (if you want to purchase more than the single transaction limit) and any regular surcharges they may issue."

I've sent a couple of emails to JK Ent (different addresses) trying to figure out if they know the limit to the number of tickets purchasable in one transaction, but no word as of yet. Ticketek seem pretty butthurt about getting question about individual events so I haven't been able to contact them to ask. I'll do my best guys coz it will be soooo much more fun if we can sit together but I'm pretty certain we won't be able to get all 19 in one transaction, maybe half that, but we'll see. Don't hate me >___<

Also, there's about 3000 VIP seats which doesn't seem very "VIP"/exclusive if you ask me lol
Title: Re: K-POP Music Festival in Sydney, Australia 2011

Also, there's about 3000 VIP seats which doesn't seem very "VIP"/exclusive if you ask me lol

Yeah I had a feeling this would happen, and I think it was expected to happen. They know fans are willing to pay lots of money to see these acts up close. That's why they decided to allow fan groups to make large prebookings on VIP tickets because they know the fans will pay anything if they think they'll get to see their favourite person on earth up close lol.
This is why they gathered numbers up first to see how many VIP seats they needed to offer. Then they just resize the the gold and vip seating sections accordingly.
If they just had limited VIP seats then they would have all sold out and those people would have just bought Gold seats which are $100 less so they don't make as much money.

Another issue with VIP seating though, looking at the seating plan, this section is going to be flat ground level and there will be a middle stage right in front. If the stage is high, we might not be able to see the main stage very well and might even have to watch the screens until they actually come to the middle stage. I wasn't really expecting the seating to be flat like this I thought it would be in the stands so that everyone can see properly but now I have a feeling standing area is going to be better :3 Then again I'm just having a guess to what it'll be like. If the main stage is quite high, and the ramp going to the middle stage slopes down and then the middle stage is low, then it should be ok.

Unfortunately, I'm not Dave or Pops, so you'll have to wait for the cool accounts about seeing artists up close in the airport and at the rehearsal. So yeah, I'll be giving my take of Friday and Saturday! Skip to the Saturday section if you just want to read about the concert :)

Oh, and I won't put all my photos here, because they're too big and Photobucket doesn't seem to want to make thumbnails. If you want to see all the photos I took (they're not very good quality, sorry) then here's the link to the album: http://s883.photobucket.com/albums/ac34/Deft-Monkey/Sydney%20K-Pop%20Music%20Fest%202011/ (http://s883.photobucket.com/albums/ac34/Deft-Monkey/Sydney%20K-Pop%20Music%20Fest%202011/)

Friday 11th November

I got to the city at around 3:40 in the afternoon to get CDs of the artists I follow who'd be at the concert. 4 albums and $92 later, I found myself walking around Darling Harbour, enjoying the sun and Sydney city, which I don't visit enough. Pops had text me earlier to say that Dave and her were going to the concert rehearsal because Dave's brother wasn't able to make it on Friday. She also said that Captain Lubey (CL from now on) would text me so we could hang out while waiting for the other two to finish up at the rehearsal. That was a fun 3 hours of waiting for a message XD I burned time by walking around the city. I only stopped when I started getting foot cramps

After I finally got CL's text, I met up with her at Maloney's Hotel at around 7:20. We had a couple of drinks while waiting for Pops and ebc who'd gone to the hotel to put stuff away/change clothes. Had a good chat and some laughs with CL while waiting :thumbup When everyone was there, we talked for a while before getting dinner. Pops gave me my shirt and tickets. The shirt is fucking awesome, thanks Daiman :bow:CL got some fantastic risotto. Seriously, my mind was blown by the deliciousness :shocked  Dave showed me his airport photos taken that morning and I think I couldn't quite believe that these were K-pop idols in Sydney Airport. All I know is that I loved 4minute's Jiyoon's purple hat :P At least I'm pretty sure it's Jiyoon :sweatdrop: CL and I were relatively warmed up from beer and wine, so that made for some interesting banter that I can't quite remember. I vaguely recall saying something about someone going dominatrix and some other associated things :P

Just before parting ways with the three musketeers, (Dave was staying in the room next to CL, Pops and her mum) I talked shit about Pops' comfortable flats which couldn't go long distances. Possibly a mistake, but I regret nothing!

On the bus ride home, two guys (a businessman and a young guy) on the backseat got into a fight and then the young one pinned the businessman in the corner and was yelling for the guy to leave him alone and stop threatening him, sounding seriously freaked out. The driver stopped the bus on the side of the road, said she was calling the police, and then resumed driving, much to the confusion of everyone. After that, the two in the back talked for a bit and then sat quietly on opposite ends of the seat. When we got off the motorway, the driver went into the first bus stop and just waited there. We were stopped for 15 minutes and no one understood what was going on, until we saw police walking up beside the bus. They took the two guys out and had them give statement, while some more cops got onto the bus and asked if anyone witnessed what happened. According to the girl behind me, the young guy was talking to his friend in front of him loudly and the businessman asked him to shut up quite rudely. He apparently threatened the guy, saying that he was ready to pull a trigger and that he'd get off at his stop and the like. She said the businessman threw the first punch, while another guy said he thinks the young punched first because the businessman started saying that the whole thing was caught by the bus camera and that the young guy was screwed. At that point the young guy was held him down by his hands and started shouting. In the end, I got home 40 minutes later than I should have at midnight. At least it was an experience :thumbup

Saturday 12th November

Day of the concert! Exciting! I got up early, put on my JPHiP K-Pop Music Fest shirt, had a little brekky and then headed out to the city. I met up with my friend Chris and his girlfriend Anna. I joined them for their breakfast and when we were leaving to go to Darling Harbour, Anna yelled out "OH MY GOD!!!", making the women in front of us jump in fright. It was because she saw a giant ugg boot costume  We had an hour to kill before meeting up with the others, so we went to the Chinese Gardens and enjoyed ourselves walking around and taking in the serenity of the gardens, all the while cracking wise. The other two kept touching an old jade carriage, despite the 'do not touch' sign. Reminded me of How I Met Your Mother. They made me a little nervous though :nervous

We met up with CL at Starbucks at around noon. We decided on Japanese for lunch, but the place we then went to wasn't open for lunch XD Honestly, over the whole two days, the universe was against us going to Japanese restaurants. The closest we got was CL and I getting teriyaki chicken ramen for lunch in the foodcourt of the shopping mall on Pitt St. We met up with Pops before going to the mall though. She was wearing the JPHiP SONE shirt that Dave gave her. Chris and I were admiring the :tama-mad: on the back :D  Anna looked like she was enjoying herself and she was pretty funny too, telling us how 'lesbian haircut' is now an official term used by hairdressers  Pops showed me her airport photos and vids of Soshi and Secret. Secret were so cheery! Especially Ji Eun and Hyosung :D Hyosung had her arms filled with gifts from fans XD Dave was off having lunch with his brother, not too sure where. We then went to Pops' and CL's hotel and hung out while the girls got changed for the concert. Pops got me to model the music fest shirt a bit. She told me to do sexy for Dai XD I was working at 50% sex appeal, mang :cathappy: I expect she'll upload those photos along with her other pics and vids when she gets home.

We got to ANZ Stadium at 5, just as the gates were opening. Chris and I saw some people we knew from high school and went to say hey. They said hi. It was awkward, but good  I was hoping I'd see my uni friend Jess, so I could call out to her and troll everyone, but no such luck. The line for our gate was damn long. It wrapped around halfway to the other side of the stadium entrance and that was just for 1 of 8 gates. Thankfully, it moved amazingly quickly. We were pretty close to the main stage, just to the right of dead center. It took us a while to see Lil Cazza because she was right on the opposite end of our row sitting with her friends. I didn't actually get to talk to her in person this time. Dave, his brother and their friend got to their seats soon after us, even though we saw them get there just before us :huhuh Ebc and his bro were wearing awesome Rilakkuma hats XD Looking around, there were about as many people as I expected, maybe a bit more. The gold seating was pretty much packed, but silver and bronze had quite a few bare patches, while VIP had a few sections of rows here and there that were empty. It was only about 6:00 though. In the row in front of us was a whole lot of Cassiopeians, donning red all over, but they definitely put their heart into cheering all the artists on throughout the concert. This was a little bit to my dismay as the girl in front of me kept waving a fan that got in the way of my vision and camera shots.

Here's the seating plan of the stadium to give you an idea (we were in section A4):

There was a 3:00 minute countdown to the start of the concert, with a K-pop montage. At 7:00, SHINee kicked things off on stage 1 with Lucifer. Windows shattered, stars collided and the crowd screamed the boys, Shawol or not. I have to say, it was pretty surreal seeing these people who I'd only ever seen on a screen before. Minho stood out to me because he was wearing these skin-coloured pants, so I thought he wasn't wearing any at all :mon sweat: The boys then introduced themselves, as all the artists did after one or two songs, in Korean which was then translated by some unseen lady into English. Before anyone knew there was going to be any translating, people just cheered because they could after the first break in the group's intro XD Next was Hello, which I've never heard before, but it was pretty pleasant and nice for a change of pace after Lucifer. Really cute song. Their third and last song was, of course, Ring Ding Dong. Everyone was going nuts while I took the opportunity to check Twitter. Towards the end of the song, I got up and joined in with the rest of the crowd. Chris filmed me being a downer, the jackass :P

Next up was miss A :D They had a bit of an intro perf with a Goodbye Baby remix, then followed by the actual song. I felt the temperature rise a few degrees as soon as I saw their legs sticking up in the air :mon bleed2: All of them were great, but Fei was so incredibly beautiful and sexy, it was difficult to comprehend. She is both a queen and a goddess  Then they came up to stage 2 and taught everyone the chorus dance moves to Good Girl Bad Girl XD They were so boss :pimp: Min introduced in English. Her voice is so cute :monk gboy: Suzy really got into the atmosphere, smiling at full beam and waving her arms really exaggeratedly at the crowd when they were finishing up GGBG.

SISTAR started with So Cool. They followed up with How Dare You and closed up with the full group version of Ma Boy, chairs and all  Even though they were on stage 1 the whole time, I could see Hyorin's bust clearly from where I was :mon crazyinlove: I was disappointed that they didn't include Hyorin's "S-I-S-T-T-T-A-R!" followed by Bora's "SISTAR!", but they shortened both Ma Boy and How Dare You. Hyorin got so much love from the crowd :D

2AM definitely impressed everyone in the stadium. They performed Can't Let You Go Even if I Die, You Wouldn't Answer My Calls and This Song. I've only ever heard CLYGID before, but all the songs really made an impact. A great change-up from the catchy poppy songs. Chris boy crushed all over Changmin XD That said, CL and I were fanning like crazy over Jo Kwon :onioncheer:

The first special stage of the night had SNSD and SHINee performing together. Minho and Taemin were up first, dancing away. Then things got hot when it came to Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung and Yoona's turn. They were wearing their trademark orange jumpsuits. The best part of the dance routine was when the girls were grabbing each other's bums :on bleed: Then Minho and Taemin joined in the dance (after the groping finished, haha). I'm not sure what the song was. Could've been Snoop Dogg, maybe?

A jazzy intro song brought a new kind of sexy vibe with Secret entering from behind the screens on stage 1 with canes and top hats. They did a bit of a dance number along to a simple, jazz piano tune, which was both cute and sexy. They then lost the hats, canes and even their black and white tops for their black and pink Love is Move outfits, which they performed first. It was a shame that they stayed on stage 1, because they looked absolutely gorgeous on the screens. Hyosung got all sweaty and her face was all shiny, but you could tell she was loving it from her smile. Then the crowd got loud for Madonna. Damn, that was hot  Lastly came Starlight, Moonlight, which kinda killed all the energy they'd built up :( A lot of the audience sat down during this, because you just couldn't get excited over such a lofty song. I still stood up and enjoyed the song, but I couldn't really bounce along to it. I still can't believe they didn't perform Shy Boy. I would've been bouncing like Daigong on crack :bounce:

Next was one of my favourite performances of the night. It was a special stage with Hyorin, Gayoon, Jo Kwon and Changmin singing Beyonce's Halo. Honestly, I never really liked Beyonce's one that much, but this was simply spectacular. They were all on stage 2, performing right in front of us. Hyorin was standing there and kept shining her gorgeous smile at everyone  Jo Kwon was giving me chills with his vocals. Poor Changmin, not only was he on the side of the stage furthest from us, he was constantly blocked out by Cassie's waving their red balloons in my line of vision  Although she's not as powerful a singer as Hyorin, nor was her English pronunciation as good as the others, Gayoon really stood out to me for the first time ever. She looked absolutely stunning, although sadly my photos of her aren't too great. After that perf, she definitely has a place in my heart

BEAST then came on with Shock, Fiction and Beautiful. Great song choices considering the audience. I already liked Fiction, but I'd never heard Beautiful before. Pretty nice :) I don't know who any of them are, but the rapper wearing shades looked like a huge tool to me, sorry to anyone who likes him :P That said, he's the only in BEAST I got a good enough photo of to not delete.

Guess whose turn it was now. Just guess. That's right - SNSD! Well before the end, to everyone's surprise. The crowd lost the plot. Even if you weren't a SONE, you still felt the need to scream and go a little crazy. If people had poo, they would've thrown it at a wall (if there were any nearby walls). Heaps of people ran up from the seating area up to stage 2. Security was pretty kind in that they let people stay up there for the artists they did run up for and, in kind, the fans went back to their seats after the artists either finished their exciting song or their whole performance. So first, of course, was The Boys. I'm at the point where I'm used to the song, so I was able to get into it. The girls looked incredible :mon lovelaff: Jessica is one the the most princess-looking creature I've ever seen in my life  Apparently, someone slipped during the perf (I think Yoona), so the stage crew came out to check if everything was alright, with the girls all huddling together to make sure as well. At this point, Jessi became bitch!Sica and raged at the crew about her faulty mic. She was seriously pissed off  It was one of the most amusing things I've witnessed XD Just another reason why she's my bias in Soshi. As usual, she had issues with her earpiece/mic. The crew gave her a microphone to hold, which worked, thankfully :P Jessica introduced in English to everyone and I thought people were going to lose their minds to the extent that the crowd would break out into some freaky orgy. I was pleasantly surprised by the next song, although it was an understandable choice. The music for Kissing You started and everyone cheered. The girls on stage then picked up bunches of roses on stage 1 and threw them out to the crowd in the standing area. That was really sweet, I thought :) Then the recorded vocals stopped and the girls themselves started singing as they walked down to stage 2. Kissing You is just one of those songs where the girls like to enjoy themselves and this was no exception. Taeyeon looked especially bright and happy, which was awesome :thumbsup I've also gotta give mad props to Sunny for being an absolute sexy beast with thighs and boobs showing off their grand prowess :mon blood:

At this point, I turned around to look at the crowd in the stadium. The seats had really filled up a lot since the beginning. Considering how much I appreciated the sight, the artists must've been really grateful for the turnout. I doubt they expected to have so many fans in Australia, but you could definitely see their delight.

(Man, I'm running out of emoticons here )

Now another special stage! This time it was CNBLUE with Yoseob of BEAST and GO of MBLAQ. I must comfess, I went a bit batshit crazy over CNBLUE, Jonghyun in particular :sweatdrop: I don't know the song that they performed, but it kept the energy coming from the crowd for sure. I've gotta say, Yonghwa knows how to be an entertainer. He was running about the stage and absolutely owning it like it ain't no thang :on cigar: The majority of the girls in the audience (not Pops, obviously :P) screamed their lungs out for Yonghwa. You can hear it clearly in fancams. As soon as Yonghwa starts singing, the girls get all aroused and scream for their hunk-a-hunk o' burnin' love. Brilliant performance :thumbup

4minute then took to the stage. I think they're the only ones (apart from the special performances) who started off on stage 2. They took a different tact from the other groups to kick things off. There were backup dancers with these pink/purple fluorescent discs on their hands and they were moving them around and tripping everyone out XD This started Mirror, Mirror. This was then followed by Muzik (fuck yeah!!) and finally Hot Issue, though I was expecting either HUH or I, My, Me, Mine. I noticed that Hyuna's legs were shiny like some female idols' legs sometimes are. I always thought it was something like a moist lubricant, but I saw here that it was like a paint and it had dried on shiny. All girls should get some of that stuff

Now, I must tell you, I was quite surprised by the next act, MBLAQ. I actually really liked their songs (Mona Lisa, Y and Oh Yeah), which is big considering that I don't really like boy groups much. The other members got Thunder to introduce all of them in English, because he speaks it fluently. I couldn't help but notice that he sounds like a child when he talks XD Also, it was my turn to have a bit of a boy crush now. GO is one damn fine specimen and I have no regrets in saying so :on asmo: From his hair, to his face, to his voice - the man's got it all. I can see why he's Pops' bias. Also, after hearing their songs and seeing them perform, I could see why Caz loves them so much :yep:

Eheheheh, CNBLUE's turn then came up :D I do love me some CNBLUE. It's always so refreshing to see a band that plays their own instruments. When they were introducing themselves, Yonghwa spoke first. Then he paused for a bit and then resumed, only to be cut off by the translator. I was saying that he was going to break someone for that later :P They performed I'm A Loner, Intuition and Love. I was disappointed that they didn't perform Love Girl instead of Love, but all songs were amazing. The first two especially captured the excitement of the audience. Even though I couldn't necessarily hear everyone clearly, I could feel the crowd singing along to the chorus of I'm A Loner, and why wouldn't they?? :cathappy: I kept cheering for Jonghyun and also Minhyuk. CL noted how pretty Minhyuk is. Not sure why a drummer needs to be that good looking, but hey, I won't complain. Pops told me that they did that intro that sounds out of place for Intuition in the rehearsal on Friday, but when I heard it that night, it sounded really cool! O0

The last special stage of the night had 4minute and miss A performing Kylie Minogue's Can't Get You Out of My Head. It began with 4minute on stage 1, close to us and miss A on stage 2. 4minute was performing the song solo at first with miss A just waiting in the back and then there was a break in which miss A came to the front of stage 2 to join the other girls. Even though I've never been much of a fan of Kylie, listening to them got me into an unexpectedly patriotic spirit :australia: It was a really sweet gesture, performing a Kylie song, even though I don't think many of the people there were into her :mon sweat:

The second last artist to perform - KARA :w00t: :mon beam: :cow: Right from the get-go they packed a huge punch with Step. It's like a new life got blown into the stadium, because everyone perked up more than at any other time during the night and the energy peaked. It was an awe-inspiring experience. I was going at it harder than I had at any other time during the night with Pops' KARA lightstick. My arm and shoulder started hurting so badly, but I couldn't stop except for the breaks between songs :bleed eyes: So, MBC was filming the whole concert to broadcast it in Korea and there were cameramen going through the aisles to catch the audience. Hours earlier, before the concert had even started and we were sitting in our seats, there was a cameraman who came around, so I threw up the HiP heart and yelled "JPHIIIIIP!!!" He was probably just surprised to see a dark-skinned guy at a K-pop concert :P In any case, he came back a few times to our row throughout the concert to film us. As soon as KARA came out, he rushed over because he'd seen me waving around the KARA lightstick earlier. I didn't see anyone else with one, so I felt like I was the only one in the whole stadium with an official KARA lightstick. Thanks for letting me use it, Popsgirl  The KARA girls moves were sharp and you could tell they were really putting their all into it  Not to mention their hot hot tamale train outfits  Step was like a cyclone - it blew everything away. Gyuri was just as gorgeous as she is in the MV and my one decent-ish photo of her really shows her goddess nature. Seungyeon was really working it, pulling moves like an animal!! Jiyoung's short hair was awkward  I did get used to it as I watched more though, and she was nailing her vocals! :note: Hara's abs  Just   All of this I noticed in between ogling Nicole and ogling her some more. My all time bias in front of me? Would you expect any less?? The last photo in my camera is of her and it is perhaps my favourite of my pictures from the night. Pops actually liked Nicole's rap this time, which was incredibly pleasing for me :D The girl was on fiyaaaa :bounce:

(I think another paragraph is necessary. Too much to say!) After finishing Step, Nicole intro'd as they all walked downstage closer to the audience. She spoke in English and it went something like this:
Nicole: Hey Sydney!! How are y'all doing!!??
Audience: [cheers]
Nicole: AAAAHHHHHHHHSOME!!!!!! :w00t:

I broke down in hysterics laughing. More American-sounding than most Americans :usa: Girl's amazingly awesome :luvluv2: Next they took the HiP route and performed Mister on stage 2, so we got a great view :shakeit: I couldn't help but shake my bum along to it :nervous Everyone there was getting into it and you could really hear the chants of "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, do it!!!" and even some were 'la la la'ing along :thumbup To finish up their energising roll, they made like the Human Torch and fucking flamed on with Lupin :mon mad: :mon zoom: I'm pretty sure the reason why the stadium's roof was open was so that KARA wouldn't lift it off. The whole crowd was cheering, jumping up and down, waving around whatever they had. On this night, KARA reminded me just why I love them so. Even though I'm not too loud about them when they're not promoting in Korea (with the exception of Mister), they hold an irreplaceable position in my heart

Finally, the last performance of the night! TVXQ took to the stage and all the Cassiopeians made noise like they'd seen God and were only just realising it now. Still, after KARA, the crowd didn't sound quite as loud or pumped, but nevertheless, insanity was taking over many of the girls I could see. Most of the rows in our section in front of us ran up to stage 2 to get as close as possible to the two members on stage 1. Most of us in our row took this as an opportunity to rest our feet, which we'd been standing on for pretty much the whole concert, which makes the standing area now seem like less of a bad idea. Pops was constantly trying get photos for her TVXQ-obsessed mum, although she displayed a great degree of reluctance   They performed Maximum and Before You Go first and then we all stood up for Keep Your Head Down. Even though the song has a slow beat, it has a heavy-duty sound that feels pretty badass. After seeing him live, I've gotta say that Max is quite a pretty boy XD :sweatdrop: I seriously hope that Pops uploads her pictures of Yunho, because they're all such quality  He's always got some fantastic facial expression going on. It was kinda sad that they were the closing act, because they completely brought down the high from KARA's performance with their slower songs. Without a doubt, they have talent, but it should've either been SNSD, the group that was meant to close, or KARA, the group that most deserved it due to their effort instead of TVXQ. Still, a respectable performance from the boys.

The reason that Soshi didn't close was because 5 of them had busy schedules, so left for the airport pretty much straight after they finished performing.

To finish up, all the groups came back on stage, one by one as they were announced. They all looked so confused because they didn't know which way to walk. Half a group would walk to one side of the stage, while the other half went in the opposite direction :on lol: Then music started playing and all the artists joined in to sing a song together, although it was one of those very casual arrangements where they sing if and when they feel like it. They all walked down to stage 1 and I, along with several others, ran up to the stage to get close and cheer as best I could. They were throwing out these coloured balls to people into the sea of people in front of them, and Jiyoung or Nicole (can't quite remember which, but I think Jiyoung) threw a pink ball my way and I almost caught it, but I fumbled it off one of my fingers :/ I saw it land pretty nearby on the ground and almost went to get it, but decided not to be nasty about it and just let one of the girls who was closer bend down and get it. Then Pops said today on Twitter that each ball had an artist's signature on it. FFFFUUUUUUU :tama-mad:  At least now I know to be more assertive next time.

There was mad HaraSica fanservice with all the artists up on the stage :w00t: Pops has most of it filmed and Dave got photos of it  What neither of them noticed at first was something I got to see up close with my own eyes because I was standing up near the stage. Just as they were about to walk back, Jessi and Hara had a tight embrace and then when they were letting go, Jessica gave Hara a nice spank on the butt 8D :shakeit: :fap That just topped off the fanservice they were giving. Ebc unknowingly caught it on camera (as we found on the train later), those sneaky hands ;)

When everyone was leaving the stadium, Pops, Lucy, Chris and I went to go meet Pops' mum in section A1 of the seating. She was taking a picture with the other Cassiopeians with her. When she came, she was not pleased about the seating arrangement, because TVXQ never even looked her way (although there was a girl in her section who was in tears because Yunho waved at her XD) and frankly, it was a shit place to sit after paying $290 for VIP seating. She hit Pops with her TVXQ towel when Popsgirl said that KARA performed better than the two guys and deserved to close the concert. She hit the rest of us when we all agreed  As we were walking off, Pops' mum and the other fans with her were shouting out "TVXQ," so we shouted out "KARAAAAA!!!" :mikilaugh:  We bolted after that because we thought we were going to die.

Gah, I'm way too tired to recount the post-concert shenanigans now. I'm going to bed and shall finish this up later.

There was a lady on the train to Olympic Park who asked about our shirts :) She complimented and asked how we made them. Pops just pointed to the HiP heart on the shirt and said "At this site here" :D GOOD JOB DAI

hmm my report, the whole thing was kinda a blur now that I try and look back. I think I was just really focused on trying to get good pics. But it's ok cause I did and I'm really happy! I feel like I've accomplished a goal in life to take good photos at a concert XD

Defty that is an EPIC fanaccount. You just brought back all of my emotions from the weekend and I'm all giddy

In true Pops style I am super duper late xD and hell I still haven't even finished fixing up my pics and resizing them LOL

After reading Defty's fanaccount, I don't know what else to add lol.
I got to Sydney on the Thursday so I could settle into the city and be ready for the idol's arrival early Friday morning. I can't remember what time it was but it was bloody early when I got to the airport on Friday, I think it was like 6:30am. When we got there mum and I (+ two TVXQ fans) were the only none Asians there at that time and so a camera man & reporter from a big TV station here asked to interview us, I stepped back and let mum and the others talk to him lol. Even then there were a lot of people there, plus police and volunteers from the company running the event to help with security. Someone recognised me and said "hi" in a 'too-friendly' manner coz I didn't recognize them so I was freaked out and was all "uh...hi" and stand offish which I felt so bad about later when it hit me who they are. We were there for a while waiting, Dave stayed outside where there were less people and I was in with all the screaming fangirls coz all the boybands were coming that morning. The crowd kept cheering for random people coming out of the gates to amuses themselves lol, reactions were always pretty funny. When the idols finally came out everyone swarmed up near the gate, I throw  stuff off a chair and jumped on it to film over everyone's head. TVXQ, SHINee, BEAST, MBLAQ, 2AM, miss A and 4Minute were all on that plane so there was lots of screaming and they looked so shocked and happy to see so many fans. Once they were out of the gate people RAN to get outside to see them some more. I just stood on my chair and watched the stampede and legit saw fangirls crying. I LOLed. I gotta say as well, I've always been more of a fan of Fei, Jia and Min than of Suzy and never really saw why she was so damn popular... until I saw her smile in person. OMG I could not stop swooning over her for ages after that, she is such a shining sweetheart <3

about 3/4 of people had left then to try and see them outside, but I turned to my friend and said "SISTAR weren't there!" coz they were the group I knew for a fact where arriving that morning. Coz everyone had moved, we got to choose whatever spot we wanted right up close next to the barrier to wait for SISTAR to come. People eventually started coming back inside too and it filled up a bit more, not as much as it was before coz all the TVXQ fans had left. We waited for ages still with a heap of false alarms for SISTAR and then suddenly out of no where, people up closer to the door started screaming and reaching out so I jumped up on the step bit and leaned over so I could see lol and BAM there was KARA with SISTAR right behind. I was so not expecting KARA! Being so close to them it went by really really fast. Nicole was her usual sweet self trying to wave at people, I was waving with one hand and fancamming with the other and pretty sure she waved back at me xD Hyorin was of course a sweetheart and Bora as well. Dasom was lagging behind so she looked like a staff member xD Hara was all confuzzled coz my friend had a gift for her but she was just reaching out to her and didn't think to call her name so I think she scared the poor girl hahahahaha. (oh and a dude from BEAST was with them too which was kind of random. IDK who Hara's bf is or what he looks like so idk if it was him lol)

After that Dave and I were sitting outside while he went through his pics and being the recognisable fan he is a dude from SSF recognised him from their trip to Korea and came over to chat with his. Dave and I went back into the city and walked down to the Opera House hoping to spot some idols coz we knew the one (or two but they are next to each other) thing that the idols would want to see was the bridge and the Opera House. We couldn't see any but Dave tried taking pics of seagulls in flight which was quite amusing if you ask me lol those things are damn fast! I had to go pick up CL from the train station so we headed back there and then went to have Korean for lunch. I realise now that I never got a chance to take Dave to Chinatown, I'm so sorry T______________T

After lunch, Dave and I jumped on more public transport out to the stadium to watch the rehearsal. They were very strict about no cameras but snuck in a couple of crappy pics of miss A while we were being seated. We were seated way in the back section so couldn't really see them and none of the idols really reacted to the fans until we were kind of leaving when 4minute and miss A were rehearsing Can't Get You Out of My Head and some of the fans were cheering so Jia was waving her hands above her head at us <3 At this point I had spazzed over Jia and Suzy and Min's dorky warm up "dance" and still not over my queen Fei lol. The TVXQ fans were like crying when we had to leave coz they hadn't seen TVXQ yet, but apparently SM tends to be like that, we didn't get let in until after SHINee rehearsed either.
A massive thanks to Dave for giving me the opportunity to see the rehearsal. It was a very cool experience

Defty pretty much filled in the rest of that night, but two things 1) Defty was somewhere between tipsy/drunk, even if he refuses to admit it! 2) Brand new shoes can't go long distances coz they are brand new and need to be 'worn in', shuddup!

Back to the airport the next morning bright and early again. This time I took Dave's advice and stayed outside with him for better view. SNSD and Secret were on different planes and both were delayed. We probably got there before 7am again and Soshi didn't arrive until 9am-ish was a long wait, but it was good coz a couple of my friends I've made through kpop and I were talking to one of the volunteer event organisers who was holding up the security rope where we were and he was a sweetheart. All three of us had presents for SNSD (I had a letter to Tiffany) and he said if we couldn't get them to the girls when they walked past, he'd take them for us and give them to their managers. He also told us some little BTS tidbits that he could remember, like the night before he was in charge of getting the food for dinner that the idols had ordered and the only thing KARA had ordered to "eat" was low fat milk. This made me sad but then when I saw Hara's abs at the concert, I wasn't so surprised. He also said 2AM were the nicest and JoKwon is EXACTLY the same BTS as he is on variety shows LOL and that TVXQ had the most amount of presents, they had a huge pile. We added each other on FB LOL and he told me the next day that he did get my letter to Tiffany so YAY~

Anyway, when Soshi finally came out it was all a shock again coz the people inside cheered but it was only brief and we thought it was a false alarm but then suddenly saw Jess at the door and the started walking down the little path that's made with the security rope. They had all these managers and people trying to block the fans views though so no one could pass presents or take good pics and stuff. But thats all irrelevant when the girls are such sweethearts themselves and and and and once Sunny saw me wearing my Sunny 515 cap she FREAKING waved straight at my camera and my brain melted to mush and I just followed with my camera and was like "HOLY FUCKING SHIT I SHOULD WAVE BACK" (coz I wasn't waving, i had Tiffany's letter in the other hand, Sunny waved at me first coz she could see I was a fan, hgkfjhgakfgakfgasdf <3) so I fumbled with my camera trying to get the letter in the hand I had the camera too so I could wave with the other hand and she smiled at me like I'm an idiot hahaha. Then I suddenly remembered there were other members in the group but by that time it was too late and they were all passing me haha so I only saw Jess and Sunny, the rest were just "people walking past" to me. Not that I'm complaining, I saw my top two and they were so close and I was shaking and so giddy coz of Sunny OMFG!

[Fancam] Sydney International Airport 12/11/2011 SNSD Jessica + Sunny focused (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8rsbVBdA6M#ws)

Everyone at that point raaaaaaaaaan down to the bus so they could wave at the girls through the windows. I was too high to think about how awesome being at the bus could be so I didn't go down there until a little later when they were all screaming and I realised the girls were doing fanservice lol. Most of the curtains were closed but every now and then Jess would open it and wave or one epic time where she grabbed the curtain around her face and pouted. She's such a fanservicewhore lol <3 There wasn't THAT many people at the bus so it wasn't too crazy, place Australians are too lazy to be too crazy so when the curtains were closed no one really cheered too much so the girls weren't disturbed, but then they'd cheer loudly when they opened them. I missed Taeyeon doing hearts with her arms over her head, but I saw pics of it later. I did see her smiling and waving though <3 Yuri also bumped the curtain and opened it and everyone screamed and she quickly closed it xD The bus left but then like 10 mins later it was back and we were all so confused we thought they had forgotten their luggage, then we thought they were waiting for Secret... we had no idea what was going on, they were probably there for another 10 mins just sitting on the bus. You could see all the fan gifts being passed around on the bus. Dave was video skyping with Dinny so she could see the bus and stuff and I saw who I call the sexy manager and Dave was like "say hi to dinny" and I was like "Hi Dinny! OMG is that the sexy manager?! Is it?! is it?!" like jumping up and down... I think I scared Dave and sorry Dinny LOL.

Back to waiting for Secret. I don't know how long we were waiting but it didn't seem long, I think another 10 mins or 20 after Soshi left for the 2nd time. But we knew when they arrived coz the cheer inside went on for so long and I was like "wow what is taking so long" and then when they came out you could see why. They walked so slow, arms full of presents. JiEun was leading the way waving at like every person she could, interacting with everyone, taking every gift. Holy crap I was just amazed at what utterly sweet people they were. I didn't need to slow down their fancam at all! Which is good coz then you can hear JiEun say "hwaiting" to someone who said it to her, 'anyeoung' to everyone lol and Hyosung gasp in glee and surprise at the amount of love and fans they had there. It was a beautiful morning worth it morning with the Sunny wave and the Secret everything, lack of sleep and early rising was nothing! I talked to random fans and to others I kind of knew a lot that morning and I was proud of myself for not being shy ^_____^

[Fancam] Sydney International Airport 12/11/2011 - Secret (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twmsXzIIUsk#ws)

Defty filled in the rest of the day and he did am AMAZING job talking about the concert, pretty much covered all the little "moments" I wanted to mention. At the end I was standing on a chair lol I do that alot right? and still needed to hold my camera over my head so my arms were sooooooo sore and the fancam gets so shaky xD I do need to say myself Hara's abs in person are incredible! Fei is, omg, can't even describe her beauty, and Seungyeon, who has always quite obviously been my least fave KARA member, captivated me with her beauty too, I couldn't stop taking pics of her  I was very proud of all the Australian fans, the idols looked so happy to see such support, I don't think they were expecting so many people. Taeyeon's smiles and clear happiness was a stand out coz quite often she looks like an emo kid on stage LOL. Poor YulTi though, we all kept just cheering through their Korean MCs coz we couldn't understand it anyway xD Sooyoung was another highlight for me. During the dance battle I was like "holy shit she is hot!". All the performers kept me super entertained. I don't like BEAST's look but love their music so I didn't take a single pic of them but had a BLAST dancing and screaming along to their songs. As Defty said, KARA, no words for the energy they brought. All my KARA feelings came rushing back. Just amazing! TVXQ bored me after that high, but Yunho's "sexy" facial expressions were enough to keep us entertained. Lol poor guy, I think I just kept taking pics of him at the worst times lol.

To fill in what happened after the concert, Daigong, you would be proud! Defty and I totally perved up the packed train because we very  loudly were gasping, moaning and making other probably not so suitable noises for public while watching my Hyosung fancam in slow motion... ho-shi- that cleavage, dayuuuuum! I saw someone made a gif of it from a Korean site, I was proud coz that cleavage deserves giffing! Also when we were looking Fei pics and fancam, still on the train, Defty and I were swooning. Good times!

Eventually we (Defty, me, CL and Chris) got out on the town at about midnight and had some dinner, the only place we could eat really was KFC lol, walking up and down the street looking for a karaoke place open we finally found one, sung some songs badly, drank some beer and CL and I got back to the hotel at about 3am or something. We hoped to see some idols (I swore at least Min would go out) out clubbing, but not going to a club ourselves and knowing they were leaving the next morning, we gave up that hope lol. On my way home the next day I got some sad news... Apparently the idols had an official after party just up from where our karaoke place was and miss A were spotted walking around the street that we were on that whole time. So close yet so far! T____T LOL. Oh well, seeing them at the airport surprising felt like a satisfied amount of stalking for me. I knew what hotel they were staying at and it was just near mine, but I couldn't be bothered trying to hang out there anyway lol. My mum say CN Blue there though coz she was with a friend staying at that hotel at 2am one night and mum was leaving as CN Blue were getting back, smiled at each other~

The End.

I'll put up my concert fancams in the next post, although I still have Nicole Mister cams I need to edit together, I tried really hard to get her butt dance but wasn't easy T____T and I'll post pics... one day LOL
