Sweet! Another Ai/Reina duet!

..... Kidding. Kind of. There recent singles have been really good at focusing on the "new cool Morning Musume," so I'm sure this one will follow suit. And maybe they'll surprise me like the last Berryz single and have relatively even line distribution. I'm waiting for the previews for this one before I get excited though... because this has the potential to be a repeat of the last two singles, which while good, sound a little a like and barely focus on half the members.

I just hope that Junjun and Linlin get lines. They haven't gotten any since Onna ni Sachi Are. =/ What I really want is no leads at all and for everyone to get equal lines, but I doubt that'd ever happen...

Wow, I agree that this seems quite fast. But I'm still happy about it. I pray for something with nice outfits....cuz I wasn't totally feeling all of the Nai Chau Kamo ones. Besides the looks, I definitely want more JunLin b/c they have proven they can sing. Other than that, I'm just excited. :lol:

Yeahhh but I don't really care about the lyrics, what I want is emotion. :lol:
Like when I hear the Naichau kamo beat, it doesn't make me wanna move, it has no impact live etc. THE Peace has a fucking line about delivery pizza and that song doesn't leave people cold. :D

Well Resonant Blue sounds crazy good live yet people are upset about the line distribution. No matter what we get I'm sure people will be unhappy.

I'm just happy it's a new song. The song would have to be really bad for me not to like it cause I like everything. (At least when it comes to Morning Musume)  :lol:

i have to say it... i don't care about the lyrics, in fact i never read the translations XD guess i'm not the only one.

So after new album i def. hope a song with better distributed lines, i doubt all girls will own a solo part but i'm almost sure it will more that Rein-Ai and chorus.

I don't care about the lyrics either, I just want a fun spirited song. I don't mind the melancholic vibe that Naichau gave me but anymore songs like that and it'll be a bit depressing.

Something like Guruguru would make me happy but whatever, I'm buying it no matter what.

To me, title seems to have a Naichau Kamo/Resonant Blue feel to it. Which I think would be cool. But I'm all for something fun for a change. I agree with genkimikan, I'll probably by it regardless. :P

I only care about the music, not the lyrics. Actually, that's not entirely true. Good lyrics can lift a song onto a higher level.. but overall the music comes first. I'm not buying it if I don't like it.  :P

I think it's more that the subject matter of the song is similar to enka, but the sound itself is pure Jpop. XD

I'd say it's a pretty good cover. The only complaint I have is the bottom where the song title is. It just...I dunno, it seems sorta cheap.

I HEARD JUNJUN.

...But other than that, this song really isn't that impressive. It's catchy, but it just kind of blends in with a lot of other recent songs. What a shame. I do hope they keep the gold outfits in the PV, though. That'd be awesome.

I like the song!

It hasn't made me go "Wow!" or anything, but it's definitely not bad. It's a grower song also, I think. Not something you'll love after your first few listens or so, but overtime it builds in awesomeness.

oh snapz UF works fast haha but I did manage to see the PV and OMG it was a real pv this time! Actually it was like watching a mini dorama or something with GakiKamei at school and JunLin chatting with each other outside. Everyone looked really stunning! Reina wore her hair down in some parts which was refreshing to see. The song is simply beautiful and deep! I really like this song! I've been listenening to the preview a lot and I already like it more now than the first time I heard it. Only complaint is that it really reminds me of Naichau Kamo at some points, but it's a good song regardless.

The PV looks so nice :heart: 100x better than the dance shot/closeup formula.

Early days yet but I'm sceptical about it, that doesn't say too much though as I've been a right negative bastard about most H!P stuff recently. Still, like I say it's early days and hopefully it will grow on me in time; not exactly digging the PV right now either though.

I'm still trying to get over the fact that P9D had so much recylcled stuff on it that it doesn't seem that there's been a true Momusu album in two years, I'm waiting for a single that will just blow me away like Kanashimi and Onna ni Sachi did...still waiting so far.

Ok, this was the first time I'd heard the song... PLEASE tell me that it's a remix or someone's cell started ringing during it or something. It sounded like two songs smushed together and started giving me a headache  :thumbdown:

The girls looked good in the PV, from what I could see, though. My girlfriend called the PV style "Sexy Boy meets Resonant Blue" XD

Just heard the preview for the first time. The intro guitar part comes straight out of the Yngwie Malmsteen catalogue  :lol: (i.e. not very original).

I prefer it over Naichau, but that's not very hard..

Overall it let me with a 'meh' feeling.

Didn't like the song at first but I was surprised that by watching the PV I liked the song ALOT more. O__O

This PV is stunning! The song is a bit slow for me to like, but the PV is so nice that I even enjoy the song more than I usually would. Everyone looks so nice too, and the clothes they're wearing are nowhere near as ugly as some of the clothes they were wearing for Naichau Kamo.

first off, Great Cover, I think.  The best in a while.  Everyone looks very pretty, even ones I'm not particular fond of.  the songs, I love both the A-side and the B-side.  therefore the best single in a while for me.

what makes it even better is that the b-side is used for the 2009 Anime Expo @ LA, CA.  that's some great coverage.  GREAT!

now to top it all off, I just pre-order my copy, along with P9D album, on JapanFiles.com, the physical copies, no less, and at a very cheap price.  I bought it both for under $30.  I know that if I'd would bought it @ YesAsia.com or CDJapan.co.jp, $30 won't even cover for one product.  
It's great to support them while saving money, this means I can support them more.  Thanks JF.com.

The PV is so nice.

The song doesn't sound much like Morning Musume's style though. Not really liking it yet.
Oh wait. The start has a Aqua Timez's Niji beat.
Middle gets into Melon Kinen Bi's Denwa Matteimasu.

I've already preordered the LE A but I just can't justify getting the Single V with so much money sinks coming in the summer (i.e. AX). Only one I've gotten so far was the Resonant Blue one. But maybe if they had a PV for the b-side it'd be a different story lol. Ah well at least I can dream.

Hey maybe they could try making a story based PV that's documentary-ish style keeping the spirit of the their classic TV shows. Best example I can think off right now is Blink 182's The Rock Show video. From time to time, they'll even randomly burst into dance on the streets so they can have their obligatory dance shots XD

Oh man I think I need to get some sleep. Anyway can't wait for the single to arrive.

Schizo word vomit ahoy!

The almost formation shifting and popping style of the moves will make this dance really difficult to put together perfectly, but that's if you take the time to look. The first impression is that it's fairly easy because the moves themselves are simple in concept, and not as dramatic as, say, Tokkaiko.
Not to mention everyone is doing the same thing, which means that since not everyone is perfectly in sync it looks slightly messy. I don't expect absolute synchronization, although this lineup has the highest potential to reach that level, but all the choreographers had to do to avoid such a situation would be to have layers of different actions.  Just look at DkDk's dance, which has no complex formations, just a back and forth between two layers. Yet it seems more impressive at first comparison.
It's like when I saw Naichau and C\C's dances for the first time. "That's it?" Multiple viewings greatly increase my respect for the dance and the girls' dancing ability, but since UFA seems to be aiming for the mainstream audience again with the updated image, they need immediate visual impact. This dance does have its moments though, and most of them made it into the main PV. Good editing there.

Okay, serious ranting is done. Time to mock the awkward moments, and boy are there some!

Oh shit guys, Chun and Qian got CLOSEUPS on a DANCE SHOT. THE APOCALYPSE IS UPON US. XD Back row still got screwed on the main shots though.
Damn, about half of them have no idea on how to bump their asses, so that position just looks stiff and awkward.  :lol:
The bridge is also all sorts of lulz. AiMitsui hug does not work.  :P It's like, two shorties but the shorter one is still in the back?  :lol: AiEri hug almost works since both are hawt, but Eri should have been the back, like before. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hAbao4gseE)

Otherwise, for me the entire thing is Ode to Koharu's Awesome. "Remember that batshit insane Kirarin character? Well, she's actually also a fierce bitch." From EYN she was already looking great, but damn, since ONSA her dancing's become crisp. I can almost see her taking Maimi's place on C\C, which how much punch she's packing into her moves.
I couldn't keep my eyes off of her, and can you blame me? In the midst of a whole bunch of brown-haired shorties, you've got this tall beauty(LEGS) with gorgeous black hair working it near the center.(Back row sucks, doesn't it, Chun?) Honorable mentions to Reina, Eri, and Ai.(Brown haired shorties, lol)

ReinaKoharu hug is the best of the bunch(pimp Koharu hellz yeah  :cow:), since there's the height difference and, you know, you can see it. Does UFA hate Chun or something? Also, putting the two together is like WTF, eat something before your arms shrivel away to nothing oh look thighs  :drool:

Either way, I do love the danceshot of this too... I love how it starts right off with a hip thrust. XD I love the look in Eri's eyes right when she turns around to Ai. And yet, I agree about the AiMittsi/AiEri. A bit awkward due to height... But dammit, when Eri had back, it was just hot. :lol: (I demand to have Eric back! xD)

...And I still think the beginning pose is odd/weird. :-X

I must say the person who stood out for me the most was definitely Koharu. I usually try to watch Ai or Eri during dance shots but my eyes just kept straying back to Koharu. She was obviously so into it and was amazing.

It's kinda funny that there were so many nice shots in the dance version that I liked, but were not in the normal PV. :shakeit: ahem...
The dance itself looks pretty good, even with the sound turned off!  :lol:

I really think not doing them in studios helped alot. Those were simply getting boring.

That isn't the first time. When everyone else gets heels, Mittsi tends not to, or gets very low ones - even for concerts. Maybe because she has a harder time dancing with them, or maybe it's for a medical reason. No one really knows for sure yet.

Ping-pong was somewhat ear-bleed-y? Someone should make a ringtone from the screeching so I can use it as an alarm.  :grin: Although, you could tell Perfume was feeling awkward in the face of hyper bouncing estrogen on drugs.
Epic serve Sayu, epic.  :w00t: Girl group ping pong usually makes me cringe and bored, but the pathetic-ness of this went all the way around and became interesting.  

Camerawork during the performance was terrible. This always happens, like how I've never seen the booty shake sections from Waracchaou Boyfriend or 100gag, or the groping section from Munasawagi Scarlet filmed live. The only exception are the grabs in Jiriri, MKB Eros, and GAM. But the latter two don't count, since the groping is the dance.  :P

I've determined the story of the dance shot is that Chun kisses Sayumi, who tells gossip Risa, and word spreads all the way to Takahashi, who is all like  :shocked(look at that moment in the dance shot!) and determines that they all must go shoplifting. No seriously, 90% of the moves are "Grab stuff off the shelf, put it in the cart". Then they distract the guards by POINTING OVER THERE and/or bumping them off with their elbows.
And in the end, Chun settles into a different pose than the one in the beginning. This must mean something very meaningful. [/crack]

Wow!  :shocked 1st on Daily Chart, 23,000?!  AWESOME!  :w00t: This is the Oricon Charts, right?  so the index multiplier thing counts, too right?  that would be.....over 40K on the first day?  Pardon me, but I haven't paid any attention to Oricon in the last couple of months so I'm not sure what's going on.  This certainly is wonderful for MoMusu and fans, #1 and their leading quite a bit, and if the index multiplier still in place, that would make it very impressive...
either way, hopes that they'll keep it up for the week, Ganbare MoMusu!!!  :cow:

btw, I bought my copy on Japanfiles.com, but I'll have to wait till 5/27 till they actually shipped, bummer....  :cry:

Not a great selling week for the music industry, but for MM to improve their own sales during the economy crisis and reach number 1 has got to be something.  Congrats everyone who gave all their support.  :yossi:

Well I just bought my copy from japanfiles.com. It makes me happy to know that I am actually supporting Morning Musume. I bought Platinum 9 disc too. I can't wait!

today they are at 30 its the normal drop but they have a music fighter performance coming up on the 22nd. Also Sayumi and Ai-chan will be on a couple shows this week and next separately promoting which might help sales a bit.

impressive! they've been increasing 1st weeks sales since pepperkeibu. only Resonant blue had 1000 more copies sold 1st week. another interesting fact is that this single has better 1st week than Osaka koi no uta ,which was released around this time 4 yrs ago.

Same here. Honestly, I was getting sick of all the comparisons to the 'golden age of Momusu'. What matters is NOW.
