At the hello project site, why are the groups at the top of the artist list page in pink boxes, and what does the kanji say, and why are the rest of the groups and artists in blue boxes?

At the hello project site, why are the groups at the top of the artist list page in pink boxes, and what does the kanji say, and why are the rest of the groups and artists in blue boxes?

The kanji says エルダークラブ which is Wonderful Hearts (wandafuruhaatsu) and エルダークラブ Elder Club (erudaakurabu). Those are the two concert teams that the H!P groups are divided into, as you might know from 2006 H!P winter concerts, if you've seen em. The Orange are the non categorized or previous groups.

Hope I was at help. :)

My well informed source says he can hear a song of Canary Club in the background. Which leads him to believe that MOMO may have performed at an event together with Canary Club.

That prompted me to search on the TNX site and there I found a these links:
http://www.tnx.cc/event/02_070415_poss.htm and http://www.ishimaru.co.jp/event/16011785/
The first link leads to the second link. MOMO can be seen on the second link.

One interesting thing I found during my search was that according to the Japanese Wikipedia Irie Saaya has once been a member of MOMO. I can't find any confirmation of that though.

Momo, actually 桃 ("peach"), is a idol group of 5 girls. They originate from Madison Music Academy. They have had 2 releases so far, a single and a mini-album. Sadly no sites in English.

And to think that before yesterday I didn't even know Momo existed ...

^Samantha-chan, Just an FYI.. Your question isn't really H!P related.

There's already a thread on where to go and what materials to learn from here.  If you have access to the multimedia section here at jphip, ggliff has uploaded the pimsleur's "how to learn japanese" audio/video.

Hope that helps you some.

ok with the talk of how yossie "may" or "may not" be in Barcelona, how a spanish fan spotted her, and also the fact that a local newspaper may even reported it, brings me to a question....

How's popular is MoMusu/H!P overseas?  more or less, i know the popularity of them throughout asia, at least 1 in every 10 people of this generation know, i guess.  But now i wanna know how popular they are outside of Asia.
Particularly Spain, since the yossie thing was even reported by a local newspaper and a local tv station.  but the question is in regards to all over the world.

^ I think the Yossi thing was reported because of the girl she was with, rather than her being from Morning Musume. The girl was from a show in Japan had a wish to see Ronaldinho.

It is a good question. But I want to make clear that the story in that spanish newspaper and on the spanish TV was NOT about Yossi, it was about the Barcelona FC training for their championship match, and in the case of the newspaper they report as a side note about the little 10 years old girl that came from Japan to meet Ronaldinho. Yossi or MM are not mentioned there.

As for your question, I can speak for Venezuela, and tell you that MM is known among some Otaku groups here, young people interested in manga and, by extension, Japanese pop culture. But we're not many yet.

A question about Best Shot vol 16.
Can someone give me a detailed listing of the songs they use? Especially the one during the first two minutes of Sayumi's.

Thanks. XD

Ishimura Maiha graduated entirely from Hello! Project, so she's a "normal" girl so to say.

Oh, and Berryz is a permanent group, so no one has to graduate unless it's decided by the staff or themselves.
