The Backlog
« on: October 14, 2012, 03:36:32 AM »

How bad is yours?

http://backloggery.com/pikathree

Disclaimer: I collect Japanese Capcom games as a hobby, so I buy more than I have time to play, and some I can't play because I don't have translations for them or even the consoles to play them on, so I'm probably much worse than most people.

I didn't even KNOW I had one of these things, but when I checked your page it said I was logged in. Apparently I've created an account BEFORE I EVEN HAD STEAM and SOMEHOW IT REMEMBERED ME AS LOGGED IN. How is that even possible? lol Creeeepyyy.

I'm horrible at finishing games. :(

Oh my lord so many games I need to put in :(

http://backloggery.com/tuffty

I'll update it over time, but for now the games I still need to complete (as in, beat the main objective and see end credits) are:

Resonance of Fate
Tales of Vesperia
Final Fantasy XIII-2
Vagrant Story
Final Fantasy Tactics : War of the Lions

Interestingly they're all awesome JRPG's (with the exception of FFXIII-2)

Currently I still need to finish XCOM and Borderlands 2 before I can even think about touching anything else. Damn joined an online BL2 game where they killed the boss and I didn't even see it. Totally messed with my mission progress and I'll have to start a new game now...
But Uncharted 3 is definitely on that list.

Reminds me of that 'finish the fight' thread I made years ago. did you guys actually finish all those games?! I sure didn't~

How's everyone coming along?

Since I started mine I managed to complete off the original Arkham Asylum but nothing else, a lot of the stuff I'm playing is a pretty slow process or just plain grinding haha.

Also I got more games cheap from Japanese auctions..... so I have 12 more games >.>;;;

Oh! and if we all add each other to each other's "multitap" on that site, we can see how everyone's coming along when we log in :D

Coachie, I''m a horder for sure, too XD

Usually it takes month's for me to finish a game, since I mostly play at weekends.
Also I'm really slow in progressing, beause I like to explore every corner, even in the most linear games XD
At the moment I'm determined to finish and 100% Resonance of Fate. I'm already in the final chapter, only need to beat the final boss actually, but I went back to levelgrind at the arena so that I'm prepared to beat the bonus dungeon afterwards as well.

Another game down! Marvel vs Capcom Origins!

I'm actually thinking of stopping buying any new games in 2013!
and just try to clear my old backlog, does this seem crazy? or possible? XD

Haha, good luck with that!
When I got my Ps2 I was determined to only buy a new game, when I had finished an old one... see how good that worked XD

I already have two games, that I want to get in 2013, I hope it stays at that number. But I won't buy any next gen console for a loooong time, so plenty of time to finish my backlog.

For my next game I picked out Darksiders!

I still need to finish ICO. I got stuck at one point and I decided to look for help online. I came across the speedrun video, but I ended up watching the entire thing so now I'm not motivated to play it myself anymore  :nervous However, that was a while ago now and I forgot most of it, so I guess I should give it another go.

I did finally achieve 100% on Tourist Trophy on PS2. Almost got all the licenses silver or gold too.

Not counting the games I doubt I'm ever going to return to (at least a half dozen each for the PS2, PS3, and Wii):

PS3
Yakuza 3
Flower
Disgaea 4
Uncharted 3
Bloodstone 007
FFXII
FFXII-2
Max Payne 3
Red Dead Redemption
Pixeljunk Shooter 2

PC
Arkham City
Dead Space 2
LA Noire
X-Com
Grand Theft Auto 4
Mass Effect 3
Metro 2033
Deus Ex: Human Revolution

PSP/Vita
FIFA
Disgaea 3
Gravity Rush
Super Stardust
Killzone Liberation
3rd Birthday

On the other hand, I've been Skyrim 5 times, Civilization 5 around 20, Civilization II over 100, Symphony of the Night around 8 times and Mass Effect 1 and 2 twice each, among others. I tend to dabble in a lot of games, but only really get into a small portion of them.

I was doing so good on my Xbox360 backlist, I was down to 8 games and then a friend of mine, who sold her 360, asked me if I wanted some of her games. And instead of politely declining or at least only take that ONE game I really wanted (Eternal Sonata), I took them all!!!! (ok, almost)

So now I can shamefully ad 10 new games to my 360 backlog: Mass Effect 1-3, Tomb Raider Legend/Anniversary/Underworld, DOA Beach Volleyball Extreme, Dragon Age 2, Halo3 and Eternal Sonata.

Steam's Winter Sale, the Humble Bundle, GOG, and BundleStars have ruined me in the past 30 days.  Now I have a bunch of concurrent games going, on top of the original two I had going before all this mess.

So I decided to sign up too to mainly stay on top of the bunch of PC games I'm playing now: http://backloggery.com/kimuuu

For fun I also added some console games that I could remember that I haven't finished.

Been getting a few more done now that I can't buy any more games thanks to my bet with Kimmu

Deadpool

Bioshock

Walking Dead Season 1

Final Fantasy XIV (2.0)

I hope to finish some PC games with achievements too before Games For Windows shuts down and I can't anymore, but for some games like GTAIV, forget it :D Getting the last of Arkham City done (oh god) and playing Bit Trip Runner, which is like hell at times D:
