Erina Mano plays herself as spy in new drama

Singer and actress Erina Mano (18) will star in a new drama produced by TBS. Titled "Mano Spy," the comedic series features Mano playing herself, but under the fictional premise that she is really an undercover agent from England. In "Mano Spy," Mano is sent to Japan as a spy for the Queen of England. While concealing her true identity, she ends up passing a talent audition and becoming a popular idol. As a result, she finds it difficult to carry out her espionage duties. In addition to starring in the show, Mano is handling the theme song, titled "Matsuge no Saki ni Kimi ga Iru." Kazuma Sano (20) and Masamitsu Morita (59) have also been cast. TBS will distribute the show online starting on January 26, followed by broadcasts on BS-TBS starting on February 27.

Best plot ever  I tried watching the first ep, but I couldn't get into it... I'll try again later when I'm more in the mood for it

Yeah, the first episode is a lot of talking, but what it comes down to is:

1. Mano Erina is a successful idol with a bumbling manager.
2. Her manager is actually a successful spy and she is her bumbling partner.
3. They get called into their handler's office to discuss a hitman who has been surveilling Mano.
4. While walking down the street, the two encounter the hitman...
5. WHAT WILL HAPPEN?????

Basically this episode doesn't get warmed up until about 3-4 minutes in.  The second episode gets going a bit earlier, since it doesn't have to go through as much exposition.
