Sherin-san: smiles~ yea~ true true~ but twisting reality is fun. I hope I can get better at writing~ Hopefully, I can write out another WMatsui idea I have in my head

kamen_idol: thanks!

Godfather Death

A poor man worked day and night restlessly in order to feed his twelve children. When his thirteenth child, a daughter, was born, he decides to find a godfather for that child. To the first person he finds on the street, he would as that person to take care of his new daughter.

Running out into the streets, the poor man stumbled across God. And God said, “Sir, I would gladly be your daughter’s godfather…”

The poor man asked suspiciously, “Who are you?” Actually, that would seem to be the normal response if someone just randomly read one’s mind.

“I am God.” God smiled with a flash of gold and brightness.

The poor man shielded his eyes and rejected the offer of God. “No, God gives to the rich and not to the poor.” That was because he had no idea at all.

Walking along, the poor man felt an extremely dark feeling wrap around the streets. From the darkness, out came a malicious devil like figure--that was the Devil. The Devil was grinning with all greed, pride, and everything in the world. He came up to the man and said, “Good sir, if you would allow, I would gladly be your daughter’s godfather. Every joy in the world, all the gold in the world, everything would be hers.”

Having bad thoughts about this malicious figure, the poor man asked, “But, may I inquire who you are?”

“Ah. I am the Devil.”

Slowly backing away, the poor man who was at least a thoughtful father rejected the offer of yet another being, “I apologize Sir Devil, but you trick many people and I do not trust that you will not trick my child.”

Not giving up, the poor man searched and searched. Suddenly, a young girl with nice black hair and almost deathly pale skin stopped him. She held a scythe in her left hand and a candle in the right.

“I am Death.”

The poor man seemed sad. “Could it be that you are here to take away my life already?”

“No, I would just like to offer to be your child’s godparent even if I am female.” She replied with a slight smile.

“I accept.” Without another thought, he agreed, nodding his head rapidly.

Oddly enough, the girl who called herself Death was shocked, “Why? You rejected God though…”

“Because Death comes equally to both the poor and the rich.” The man showed a kind smile.

“…I see… I shall do my best to make a good life for your daughter. In a week’s time…I shall take her under my care.”

Death indeed did come in a week’s time and she took the young daughter away. The daughter’s name was Kumi and her eyes were sharp as well as bright. Death took to serve as a godparent as said.

----------------------------------

“Kanon! Kanon! Did I find it? Can I be a doctor now?” The young Kumi was jumping up and down with a herb in her hand in a small forest somewhere on a mountain.

Death by the name of Kanon (which incidentally was her name other than Death) came up. She pouted at the fact that Kumi always called her so sweetly using her formerly long forgotten name. “Kumi, you found it. Yes, basically you can.”

The situation was that the young girl wished to be a doctor. If Death stood at the patient’s head, the special herb in Kumi’s hand could cure anything. If Death stood that the patient’s feet, it meant that the patient was to die. Of course that would always be true no matter what the situation.

And the child soon became a doctor well known in all the lands. Though of course she was not famous for curing every single person in the world, but rather for being able to predict who lived and who died. No one else could see Death in the way that Kumi did.

Even though she knew, Kumi would ask every time if she could save the dying patient, “Kanon…he has to die?”

“Yes.” Every time that the patient was sure to die, that would be the answer of Death. It seemed that her godchild was way too kind at times. Even to Death she was kind and warm, warmer to Death than any human in the world.

Sooner or later, everyone dies. Even a king gets sick. The king of the kingdom soon fell ill. Seeking out all the doctors out there, not one could cure him. Finally coming to Kumi, Death stood at the king’s feet. Yes, he was to die.

The young doctor felt sorry for the king. Should the king die, the kingdom would also be in trouble it would seem at least. Kumi got ready to turn the bed so that the Kanon would be standing at the king’s head, but of course Death was somewhat unhappy about that.

“Kumi, if you weren’t my godchild, I would’ve extinguished the flame of your life already. No doing that.”

Dejectedly, Kumi complied, “…hai…” and then said to the dying king, “I’m sorry…but there’s no way for me to save you.”

In the next moment, Kanon blew out the candle flame that was the king’s life. The king fell dead on the bed and Kanon retrieved his soul.

For the next nth days, Kumi sulked. Actually to be truthful, the doctor was always sad after someone died. Every time, Death would be at her side to comfort her.

“Kumi…I’m sorry…but there’s no way to change fate…”

“…un…” Still sad, she replied.

Having a lack of experience in helping people get over their sadness, the figure who was Death could only give Kumi a clumsy hug. Kumi quietly returned the hug and fell asleep peacefully.

The princess of the kingdom fell into despair after the death of her father. Falling sick as well, once again the same pattern made its run. Doctors from all over came and tried to cure her to no avail. Once again, Kumi was asked to help. That poor doctor, it seemed that fate would force her to always have to face a death of a patient.

Seeing how she would not be able to cure the princess, Kumi wished to make the most of the princess’s last days of life.

Playing around, baking together, drawing, hide-and-seek, and a lot of fun and games--Kumi and the princess played together. The doctor at first only wanted to make it so that the poor princess filled with grief would at least have some happy last days, but she slowly developed affection towards the princess.

Death watched silently. A pang of annoyance and maybe jealousy struck her. It was strange--because she was Death. Holding the princess’s candle in her hand, for some reason, Kanon couldn’t wait to extinguish it.

Finally the day that the princess was to die came around. Death still stood at the princess’s feet. Kumi felt sad, sadder than before. Kanon quietly hid her slight glee with a poker face.

Even though she knew it was impossible to do so without Kanon noticing, Kumi turned the bed around so that Kanon would be at the princess’s head. Death stifled a growl. The doctor didn’t even realize. Anger overcame Death, it was infuriating. Adding to the unsettling feelings of before, Kanon was enraged.

Using the herb, the princess was soon to be cured. The princess sent a loving look towards the young doctor. In response Kumi grinned in her own special way. A sharp pain stabbed through Death’s heart.

Angered, she grabbed Kumi’s wrist and glared. “Fate cannot be changed.”

In a second later, both Kumi and the princess’s candles were blown out at the exact same time. If she had blown out the princess’s candle first, then Kumi would possibly hate her. Death didn’t want that. If Kumi’s candle went out, it would be painful if the cause was alive for longer.

Death let a tear escape down her cheeks and walked away with the blown out candle that was Kumi’s life. She thought to herself that she’d quit and join that little child in death.

You announced your graduation during that stage. Later, you posted on gugutasu about it. I felt tears streaming down my cheeks. When we met up, I couldn't help but stay silent--my lips trembled. We were both of the 5th generation of SKE. We had shared a kiss in front of everyone. Yet, you tried not to look my way now.

As we finished up the job, you started to leave. Finding that I was not moving, you turned and asked:

"Nao, what's wrong? I'll leave you behind if you don't hurry up~"

You had only jokingly said that in order to get me to start walking towards our next destination, but I looked downwards, holding in tears.

Nao didn't utter a sound in response to what I had said. Her shoulders trembled and she hid her face under her bangs and looked down. Walking towards me just a little bit, she lightly tugged on my shirt. I didn't move. I felt like I couldn't move.

She seemed so delicate, so frail. I felt as if I shouldn't be here, making her sad. I opened my mouth to say something, yet I couldn't. I felt as if I would say something wrong, something bad. Nao had said that I helped her, but I'd say that she helped me.

"Nanako..." I whimpered, "...you're leaving?"

In the end, I can't comprehend this at all. Even though I know. Even though I knew. That smiling girl with a side ponytail and a passion for robots would be leaving. And...chances were that she wasn't going to come back.

Of course, we were probably just friends. Nothing more than somewhat close members in SKE48.

Am I? "Yea..."

In the end I am. No matter how much I want to stay, there are reasons. Even if people say that I'm popular and have a lot of potential, the decision has been made already.

"Nan...I hate you..." I don't want you to leave.

"...It's okay if you hate me." It's okay to hate me, because I feel like a bad person...Still...her words pierced through my heart. They hurt.

I started to walk away, but she pulled onto my shirt causing a pause. I didn't look back at Nao. I can't. Or else, I'll cry again. And...I'll...regret this decision... No, I might already regret it--I don't know.

Nao was crying and trembling all alone.

"...Nanako..." I whimpered as tears filled my eyes making it hard to see clearly. I didn't want to let go, so I let the tears drip down without wiping them away.

I being selfish aren't I? You already decided to graduate, to leave. Just because... we were the opposite poles--magnets--didn't mean we wouldn't be pulled apart. We were...weak magnets...right?

"I'm sorry." What good is an apology now?

"...hic...hic...just..."

"Nao?" She's crying and I can feel myself start to cry as well.

Don't... I grabbed onto Nanako's body, restricting her--trying to make her stay... "Don't..." I cried. I felt her warmth, but I probably wouldn't be able to after she's gone. "Leave...me..."

"I-" I don't know. But I felt her strong yet fragile hold on me. Everything will end in a little bit.

"Take me with you..."

Does she really want to graduate? Will it be my fault? "No...Nao..."

"...No?"

She looked up and showed her slightly red eyes still crying. I couldn't swallow down my saliva. What was I to say. I had hurt her again. "Nao..."

Don't leave me alone...

"...Don't...follow and graduate..." I muttered out the first half of my thought.

"...do you hate me though?" You don't want to be with me? You don't want me to follow you. Of course, I'd be a burden.

"I wouldn't...ever... Because, you don't need to follow me, I'll be with you--I'll follow you forever." Because I love Nao--I guess.

"I hate you..."

"I love Nao."

~-----------****-----------~

Suga Nanako is graduating. Her last stage performance: December 22nd, 2013, it seems. That Nanako Robot girl who messed up with the remote control during the Aishiteraburu(or was it Kiss Datte Hidarikiki?) times, Furukawa's pet koinu, a Shingeki no Kyojin fan, the girl who kissed Nao in the Choco no Dorei SP... such a 5th generation member shall always stay in my heart right next to PenPen who had graduated right before.

2013 may have been one of the worst years for SKE48 fans or maybe a good year for some, but it's still sad. The mass graduation in the spring... PenPen and Yuuyu going in November. And now, Nanako as well as a KKS Azuki-ranger-san are saying farewell to SaKaE48.

But...minna...keep them in your hearts forever and...continue supporting them to the end and forever and ever onward! (Just don't be stalkers.)

~-----------****-----------~

This is 2013! Talk - SKE48, Graduated Members {Keep in mind that this is all fantasy}:

Shino: *cry *sob *cry *sob *whines... "Too much graduation... people... let's create a time machine right now!!! GAHH!! 2013... 2012 wasn't the end of the world you know? 2013 is the crumbling of the cookie in the wrong way..."

PenPen: "Eh..."

Kumi: "Um, Shino-san, you're being kind of..."

Nanako: "Weird."

Sawako: "Exactly."

Others: Why do we have such a MC/writer/host????

Shino: "So, there's literally no point to this talk show other than to promote you girls... Literally... even though... you...are....grad...uation!! WHYYYYYYYY!!!???"

Sawako: "...um..."

KanaKana: "Well, this is strange...hehe...?"

Shino: "Starting with the main character of the one-shot above, Nanako-san."

Nanako: *shocked and surprised "Eh. Hai!"

Shino: "So anyone have anything good about her?"

Mizuki: "Good dancer~ How 'bout that?"

Shino: *ignores just because "Kumi, do you know?"

Kumi: "Robots!" *grins very confidently

Shino: "YES! Ding Dong~"

Nanako: *sweatdrops

Shino: "Iyaa~ That was the first thing that caught my eye about Nanakoinu... In that Shin Domoto Kyoudai Episode, at like the 2/3 mark--6 minutes maybe?--NanaRobo was shown off. Well, that was the best and--"

Ogiso: "Leave it to the listeners to watch it... please, since spoilers aren't nice..."

Shino: "Ah! Ogiso-san~ Your sexy act...was in there too~"

Ogiso: "Wha..." *blushes

Kumi: "Not so sexy..."

Shino: "Kuu-sama also had that baka show as well. Sawako did Takarazuka! Whoo!"

Sawako: "YOU BETTER DIE!!" *the typical thing that she did on AKBINGO!

Shino: "Ooh~" *floating up to heaven already "By the way, since we have Kumi-sama and Sawako-san here. Let's give some more random trivia about those two. Kuu-sama played Sonata in 0048! AKB0048 the anime!"

Kumi: "The character I voiced was so much younger than me..." *Shinonome Sonata = like 7-9 years younger

Sawako: "...I was...Suzuko."

Shino: "Yesh!! Oh yea... Robot, there was also this~ SMAP. There was also Sawako-sama's stuff as well."

Mizuki: "Hey, am I being ignored here!???"

PenPen: "dai-senpai Mizuki-san..." *pat pat "How was your day?"

KanaKana: "Moe!"

Takada: "Shouldn't I be complaining then?"

Others: "Exactly."

Shino: "I apologize greatly." *doesn't know other members all that well... gomenasai! >.< "How about I bring up Mousou Deka? A lot of you girls were in it~ That hilarious drama."

KanaKana: "Danso Kumi! And Maid KanaKana~~"

Mizuki: "I was... Tuna." *facepalm

Shino: "Now, now~ not too much spoiler~ " *turns to audience "By the way, it's WMatsui~` <3 "

Hara: "What are you feeding the readers?"

Shino: "Food."

Hara: "Ah...?"

PenPen: "...hrm..."

Shino: "Niidoi-san, remember that MC that you had to do for Sjo? We're bringing that up~"

PenPen: "Ahh...we walked around...and ate stuff."

Shino: "Exactly! Thanks to Aidol-san~ we can link the audience to subs." *gets depressed "But that just made me fall in love with you...so whyyyyyy????"

PenPen: *pat pat

Kumi: "...Shino-san, do your best."

Shino: "Well, this is the end of the show now."

Others: "Eh!?"

Shino: "Leave me to wallow in a hole." *turns to audience once more "KEEP ON SUPPORTING THEM WITHOUT BEING A STALKER!"

Kumi: "Arigatou."

Others: "What she said."

All: "We'll do our best~ so minna ganbatte!"

Well, because of Airi, Nannan became one of my faves in SKE too. Then when I woke up yesterday and saw Nannan graduating I basically looked like this:

Sucks that Nan has to leave though, but I wish her all the best!  :twothumbs

I fucking love nail art.

embee-san: arigatou~ *hugs* I shall do my best to make people love SKE and promote them...
p-o-p-e-y-oppa-san: my feelings exactly.

A short scientific experiment:
The Effects of Food on the 48 Group

Trial 1: Atsuyuu:

When giving a lot of free food to Maeda Atsuko and Oshima Yuko, Acchan will start to ignore Yuko. That is a very bad thing.
One hour later, the squirrel Yuko has started to show signs of depression and lack of love. Maeda is eating.
Two hours later, the squirrel is suffering Acchan deficiency and Maeda is just eating and ignoring the squirrel.
Five minutes later, quote Yuko: "Acchan...do you love me?" Quote Maeda: "I love you as much as I love food."

Trial 2: WMatsui

When giving a lot of free food to Matsui Rena and Matsui Jurina, Matsui Rena will eat only melon pan.
Five minutes later, Jurina silently watches Rena dejectedly. Matsui Rena is slowly savoring the taste of melon pan.
One hour later, there is still a large batch of melon pan. Jurina is sad because Rena is being happier eating melon pan than usually she is when with Matsui Jurina.
Seven minutes later, Rena notices Jurina dying because of love deficiency and overwork. Rena gives melon pan to Jurina.
Quote Rena: "Here...melon pan filled with love for you can cure anything." Quote Jurina--after jumping onto elder Matsui and kissing her: "Rena-chan I love you!!!" Matsui Rena blushes.

Trial 3: MariMii

When giving a lot of free food to Shinoda Mariko and Minegishi Minami, nothing happens in the first two hours.
One hour later, Mariko-sama starts a food fight.
Two hours later, Miichan wins.
Five hours later, they leave a large mess for Shino to clean up. Note on floor quotes: *troll face* "Thanks for the food~"

Trial 4: NaoNan

When giving a lot of free food to Suga Nanako and Furuhata Nao, they start acting shy.
One hour later, Nanako picks up pocky box and takes out a pocky stick and eats it.
Seven minutes later, quote Nao shyly: "...want to do the pocky game again?"

Conclusion:

Food creates trouble and love...

Re: Shinoki's One-Shot/Drabbles(Furukawa 2013 B-day: Motivation?)
« Reply #87 on: December 13, 2013, 03:35:25 AM »
Sorry~ My lazy scribble...

Furukawa Airi 2013 B-day: Motivation?

The sun was slowly dropped behind the hills. The red, the oranges, the oddly purplish colors painted the skies. The clouds hung a scarlet color, not blood, just some sort of red. So many colors were out there, but in the end, an artist was unable to replicate the scene with only a pencil and sketchpad.

Being unable to draw something was a painful thing to go through especially for an artist. Having been troubled various times before, this specific artist, Furukawa Airi, was ready to just through everything away.

A cold gust of air blew through her sketchpad showing the world the mess-ups and scribbles that never managed to see light. A light snow started to fall. It was December already. It was winter in many countries and places out in the vast, vast world.

The light flowers of frozen water slowly drifted onto the paper of the sketchpad. Like any paper in the world, the sketchpad’s paper absorbed it and wetted itself. The artist Furukawa sighed with a puff of white before closing up the sketchpad.

She wanted to go back home and watch her beloved Gundam or maybe reread a few volumes of Shingeki no Kyojin in the warmth of her tiny apartment home. It seemed that it wasn’t about to happen.

For one, the poor artist had been tricked and robbed of nearly everything excluding a small bag of belongings. Of course, that meant that Furukawa had been robbed of her apartment or rather due to some unknown forces was unable to pay the rent that had suddenly tripled. Feeling like a failed artist and human, she curled up in a ball.

“What type of birthday is this?”

It was the girl’s birthday, but it seemed that maybe it’d be her last. Ah, she’d probably freeze to death that night like a hobo. Every time she breathed, a puff of white, cold air found its way out. It was obviously extremely cold and the artist wasn’t dressed that warmly.

Night fell quickly enough. The streets seemed empty and the artist, thinking of spending her ‘last moments’ just wandering around, was slowly trotting along. It was a somewhat new city and she didn’t know anyone and the artist didn’t really go wandering around much.

She thought of her friends back in Sakae, Nagoya. Back when she was in high school, her closest friends were a lolicon Matsui Rena and a bird-loving Takayanagi Akane. To be blunt, they were like the school idols despite being weirdos. Of course, the artist was just that strange girl that happened to be friends with the school idols, at least in the main student body’s point of view.

How Furukawa wanted to see that bird and lolicon otaku right then. The one that the artist wanted to see or even hear the most was Akane who had been with her since forever. Even though compared to the love for bird’s the artist was only equal, that bird-loving girl was the best.

“Airin!!” She heard the bird’s voice.

“Am I hallucinating?”

“Oi! Airin!”

“Why are my hallucinations rude…?”

“Oi! You hentai Furukawa Airi! I know you’re thinking something weird!” From behind, the bird girl chopped the artist on the head.

Swiveling around quickly, the artist was shocked and unable to believe her eyes. “…Am I dead already?”

“What the heck are you talking about?” The bird was mad. “Gosh…You ran off to Tokyo for a few months and now you’re wandering around the streets in the cold!” A bit of snow fell on Akane’s nose.

“…I apologize.” Furukawa bowed.

The bird-lover pouted, but accepted the apology. “It’s okay…You baka-rin… No more Tokyo life for you! I’m dragging you back to Sakae!”

“Eh…”

“We don’t even need to pack! Let’s go!”

“Wait! Akane…”

“Yosh! We have to hurry up. Happy birthday, you pervert.”

“Thanks…” Furukawa could only give in and giggle, “Tsundere Akane…”

It seemed like she had to bid this place farewell, the sunset, the streets, the snow, the currently broke and out of inspiration artist… Why did the mood from the beginning to end change so much though?

Re: Shinoki's One-Shot/Drabbles(Yukko 2013 B-day: Such a Birthday)
« Reply #88 on: December 19, 2013, 11:04:12 PM »
I'm aware that this is short. Otanjobi omedeto~ Kinoshita Yukiko~ (It took me a long time to figure out how to say her nickname for some reason...  :pen_wave: )

Such a Birthday ~ KumiGomaYukko

For the members of the 48 idol group family, when a birthday comes along, there’s typically a birthday stage. When the stage for the said team isn’t exactly on the birthday, it’s still held, just slightly before the birthday in most cases.

For Kinoshita Yukiko of SKE48’s current Team E, it seemed that 2013 was going to be the first year celebrating with the youngest and sometimes considered the weakest Team. Also, it was going to be the first birthday since that mass graduation in spring where the small-faced and the idiotic girl.

December 20th, that was the date of birth for this half Spanish 3rd generation member of SKE48. The place that the birthday event was held in had a capacity of only just a bit less than 300 people--SKE48 theater it was.

That wasn’t a big deal though, that is until a certain idiot dragged along a certain girl who believed that she was sexy. Right after the stage and the high-touch session, “Yukko!!”, Kinoshita heard two voices that she thought she’d never again hear at this particular place at least.

Yagami Kumi and Ogiso Shiori suddenly came into the dressing room after Yukko’s birthday stage. Okay, there was a cake and there was a knife and luckily, nothing happened. The Team E members were shocked to see the two graduated members suddenly here and Yukko face palmed at the fact that people let the two in.

“Shiori… Kumi…what are you two doing?”

“She convinced me to come. Happy birthday, Yukiko.” Ogiso smiled.

“Yea…Happy 20th Birthday… Our little girl has grown so big…” Kumi started sobbing and taking a handkerchief and dabbing her tears, fake or not.

Yukko pouted at Kumi’s reaction, but couldn’t help but smile (and secretly feel like smashing a piece of cake into that baka’s face).

Ogi-chan did a sexy happy birthday cheer and handed Yukko a present wrapped in pretty wrapping paper. Remembering once Ogiso did, Kumi also gave Yukko a present with a grin.

It was a surprise to see the two come visit just to say their birthday wishes to her, but considering the fact that the two graduates had actually thought of barging into the theater and saying ‘Happy Birthday’, this was so much better even though Yukko had no clue about that plan B.

Re: Shinoki's One-Shot/Drabbles(2013 Anthology)
« Reply #89 on: December 31, 2013, 04:04:05 PM »
Even though I said Anthology, the end marks are:
33 Drabbles (67 less than planned...*sighs)
12 One-shots

It's kind of shorter than expected,
but I wasn't able to work that much during Winter Break due to no good reasons.
Most of the longer ones were written during November and the beginning of December.
And zannen~ you got some angst from this person who can't write angst correctly,
but, meh...onegai, read this... or else I'll be depressed at my hard work going to waste.

Pairings - 1 OS per.

MaYuki
NezumiBlack
ChoriAnna
Furuyanagi
NobunagaPeace
MeruHaru
GekiBlack
ShibuyaDance
RabuMayu
RenAirin
SayaMizu
KumiYuriNon

The pairings go all over the places don't they?
It's strange that I don't have the classic Atsumina, KojiYuu, AtsuYuu, or WMatsui,
but that's because it was impossible to write those.
The only sparks were for WMatsui and they kept on dying out too quickly.

I feel as if I should put this stuff into the foreword and afterword...
Tch, too bad~ you got it here!!!!

Re: Shinoki's One-Shot/Drabbles(Yukko 2013 B-day: Such a Birthday)
« Reply #90 on: January 05, 2014, 04:33:53 PM »

It was a surprise to see the two come visit just to say their birthday wishes to her, but considering the fact that the two graduates had actually thought of barging into the theater and saying ‘Happy Birthday’, this was so much better even though Yukko had no clue about that plan B.

why am i crying?!

Shinoki's One-Shot/Drabbles(What Flashes Before Your Eyes)
« Reply #91 on: January 20, 2014, 03:16:55 AM »
saeseki-san:
*pat pat* Because graduations are painful. Even if you try to forget the pain, it'll never die out completely...probably.

What Flashes Before Your Eyes

Strawberries, I awoke to the smell of the sweet red fruit.

One might question if the actual fruit smelled like anything, but I could assure anyone that the strawberry fruit had its own smell. And I love it, as well as strawberries overall--the taste, texture, color, and all.

Thus curiosity filled me. My favorite fruit and food led me to search out the origin.

It must’ve been so strange for me to be where I was. My mind seemed hazy, but I was walking around the halls of a primary school. Such a lolicon feeling I was experiencing. But, I wasn’t a lolicon.

Outside of a classroom, I saw a little girl with long black hair and a side ponytail. In her hands was a small pouch of chocolate covered strawberries. Inside my mouth, saliva was building up. It looked delicious in a way, but there was no way I was about to just take it from a little girl. I would be too awkward to ask as well though.

I mentally sighed at the lure of the fruit. How agonizing.

I phased into the classroom. On the board, there was a small section on birthday announcements. There was one little girl’s name there, ‘Mukaida Manatsu’. Everyone was eating lunch in their own circles of friends and it seemed that there was no sound of ‘happy birthday’ anywhere despite the obviousness of Manatsu’s birthday.

Had I been an old man type of person, I might’ve said something like, “what have kids these days become?” But I refrained and simply looked around the room. I didn’t have a clue who the birthday girl was though. I saw a number of different characters around the room.

Surely enough, the quietest character in the room was sitting alone at the back of the classroom. Strawberries. I wonder what the big deal with them was now. The quiet little girl, who seemed like she would grow to be a Yamato Nadeshiko, was eating from a strawberry patterned bento box.

I felt joy in seeing my favorite fruit being so loved. It was still a bit strange for me to think so much about it.

Suddenly, the girl with the choco-strawberries brushed past me. No, rather she just went right through me. I don’t know. She fiddled around and twiddled her fingers in hesitation.

Then, she slowly approached the quiet one. “Manatsu-san, happy birthday.” A broad smile appeared on her face as she gave the pouch to the quiet girl--Manatsu it seemed she was it.

“A-ariga-t-tou…” The quiet one blushed and stuttered. This was a first possibly.

“Hehe, I’m Takayanagi Akane. Call me--” And then, something crackled and cut off.

+~~~~~~~~~~~~~+

“Manatsu! Manatsu! There’s a chick that fell out of the nest… what should we do????” Akane cried out as she desperately flailed around.

Already, the two girls had grown a bit taller. They were the same height though. Both were at the moment, standing in the courtyard of their junior high. It seemed that Akane was very worried about the birds. Manatsu wasn’t much, but it seemed that Akane cared much about avian creatures.

Manatsu just stood by, seemingly uninterested. She watched as Akane attempted to use her brain to solve the problem. I thought to myself that maybe the two could get an adult to help. Manatsu had a look on her face that said the same thing.

“I’m going to climb the tree,” Akane said. Manatsu didn’t seem to take her friend seriously and ignored it.

Then, without my noticing, the seemingly outgoing one of the duo gently took the chick and started to climb up the tree. In worry, Manatsu immediately ran to the tree ready to catch her friend in the worst case scenario. It seemed that her cool mask was coming off when Akane decided to do something like that.

Akane slowly grappled up the tree, reaching a branch right below the one on which the nest that she worried about was on. She slowly balanced herself on the seemingly weak branch and safely placed the little chick into the nest again. A broad smile went across her face and Akane signaled with a thumb up.

Suddenly, the branch cracked. Unable to hold the weight of a junior high student, it gave out. I tried to run out and catch the still younger girl, but was unable to for some reason. Manatsu was frozen for a second. Then, she jumped out and barely caught the reckless Akane.

“…Y-you…,” she paused with a teary expression, “…idiot…you shouldn’t be--why did you?”

Akane was confused and tilted her head. “Hmm? Because I love birds as much as you love strawberries I guess?”

“…Y-you’re an idiot CHURI, you stupid bird!!”

+~~~~~~~~~~~~~+

‘An idiot, a stupid bird.’ That seemed to stick in my head. That was the last scene wasn’t it?

Akane, who was also called Churi, had grown slightly taller. Manatsu was now taller than Akane. But, it seemed that Akane was like a bird and flew around a lot more than Manatsu.

So quickly, it seemed that they were in the third year of junior high. I didn’t know, but I just knew at the same time. Their uniforms were the same as before, but their ribbon was a different color that was blue. Blue signified that those girls were already in their third year.

Like always, Manatsu was in the back of the classroom. It was the same as before. This time around, it was a new classroom with new clothes and a more mature-yet-still-childish beauty. I looked on at the moment. It seemed as if I couldn’t do anything. I didn’t know why.

Churi was in the front of the room. She was surrounded by people who were eagerly talking to her about all the random whatnots. Despite her strange bird-love, she got along with many people. It was just another part of an unique personality. And considering the fact that everyone was unique…

In the back, I noticed as Manatsu gripped the phone in her hand harshly. There seemed to be a hidden anger in watching Akane. I guess it was jealousy. She quietly muttered under her breath,

“Takayanagi Akane…you idiot.”

+~~~~~~~~~~~~~+

This happened in the first year of high school for the two.

“Um…urm…um…I moved here recently from Tokyo…um… My name is Furukawa Airi. I’m very pleased to meet you all! Um…and I’m 15 years old.”  A new transfer student suddenly came to the school.

It didn’t look as if Manatsu cared much about that though. Many others were curious and immediately went to talk and question the new Furukawa girl. Seeing Churi act so friendly, I felt that Manatsu must’ve been quite displeased. I could see it in her face as well.

Time went by in a flash. By now, Manatsu and Akane weren’t close anymore. Like a strawberry growing on the ground and a bird soaring away into the skies--that might’ve been the way they were. I know now that I can’t make metaphors nicely.

“--call me Churi!”

That cut it.

Manatsu slammed her hands onto her desk. All eyes went to the quiet girl in the back. They were shocked and flabbergasted at the situation. There was a silence that one would be able to even hear a pin drop. Manatsu walked out of the class muttering the excuse:

“I feel sick right now.”

+~~~~~~~~~~~~~+

I felt uneasy and saddened somehow. Friendships didn’t seem to be smooth at all and Akane’s with Manatsu slowly fell off a cliff. I wanted the two to get along, but the second year of high school didn’t help.

Furukawa Airi seemed to be a cause. Well, I wouldn’t say it was the strange girl’s fault, but Churi was spending so much time around her. More often, a frown would be seen on Manatsu’s face than a smile. Even I would think that a smile was better than a frown.

Furukawa was drawing something on a piece of paper when Akane suddenly popped up and asked, “Airin~ what are you drawing?”

“Eh! Churi!?”

“You pervert. What’s this?” Akane took the paper from Airi’s hand.

“Hey! Give me.”

“Hai~hai.”

Then, Akane ran off with the paper instead of giving it back. Airi jumped out of her seat and clumsily bumped into a few desks and chairs before getting it together. Akane ran out of the room and Airi chased after. The artist, Airi, seemed to be a clumsy person. As I saw, her drawings were good though.

Out in the hall, Akane sprinted around, bumping into a few people. She quickly apologized and ran off again. Airi somehow managed to avoid hitting people, but was lagging far behind Akane. She screamed for Churi to stop, but it didn’t seem that it was going to happen.

I saw Manatsu further up the hall with a stack of books in her arms. I felt that this wasn’t going to be good. If only I could actually do something.

Churi crashed into Manatsu with a bang that made me flinch. The books fell out of Manatsu’s arms. Akane quickly helped picked them up. When she finished and handed the books to Manatsu, both girls’ faces went cold.

Manatsu took the books and walked away coldly.

“Churi!!! GIVE IT BACK!!” Seeing as Airi was gaining, Akane could only keep on running farther from Manatsu.

I felt that those two should just make up already. Even though I understood why Manatsu…

+~~~~~~~~~~~~~+

“Happy birthday, Manatsu.” A bag of chocolate strawberries just like before.

“Do you expect that to make up for all that?”

“I’ll always be there for Manatsu and for giving Manatsu choco-strawberries for her birthday, so yes?” Akane answered with a cheeky grin.

“…Y-you…st-stupid bird!” Manatsu’s face gradually began to turn strawberry red.

A slight worry was in Churi’s voice, “M-Manatsu?”

“Y-you’re forgiven, baka Churi!” And then, there were a few tears, smiles, and smack on the head.

I smiled. But, I also felt a dark premonition tugging at me.

+~~~~~~~~~~~~~+

Happy endings don’t exist so easily.

+~~~~~~~~~~~~~+

People said that life flashes before your eyes as you die. I wonder what Manatsu saw then.
Akane’s tears spilled out. Silence. A dozen bullets. This might’ve been a sad way to die. There was so much blood that I wouldn’t want to describe it. But my mind just went ahead.

Some madman armed with a number of guns was roaming. The police hadn’t been able to arrive yet. A number of students from Manatsu and Akane’s high school were around including the two. It was a mass panic. There was the sound of gun fires everywhere.

Misfortune.

What were the chances? One must’ve thought something like that even in the situation. What were the chances of death? I don’t know who would be thinking that or if she was. What types of regrets she may have had and what she might’ve wanted to say, I wouldn’t know.

You know.

Then, a dozen bullets came flying through my chest. It was so simple. And then blood.

Because you.

Akane was crying. The police came too late.

Are.

This wasn’t too long after they made up. So…why?

Mukaida Manatsu.

Darkness. Emptiness. There was nothing after that.

+~~~~~~~~~~~~~+

I guess that was death. What a cruel twist to say that I was Manatsu. I was. I knew. And, life flashed before my eyes. But I felt like I wasn’t Manatsu. I felt like I was. I started to question my identity. So I was dead? I couldn’t tell if it made sense or not.

This world I was in…this world was emptiness, maybe darkness.

I heard light footsteps walk along. A figure clad in black with a large scythe in one arm and a candle in the other. I wondered. This might’ve been a grim reaper or something like that.

A cold, crisp voice asked sweetly yet mockingly,

“You loved Takayanagi Akane am I not right?”

And then, it spilled a cruel truth coldly with malice,

“But in the end, she loved Furukawa Airi more.”

And then, the world cracked apart. When life finished flashing before your eyes, you are officially dead.

Mukaida Manatsu died. Ah, my chest hurt.

FIN

I wave you goodbye, Mukaida Manatsu-san.
I'll never forget you even though I never really got to know your character!!!!!
Hey, just saying...eventually, these members will disappear into dust and existence if you guys don't keep them in mind. At least for the fans out here who can only support and view the 48 groups as if a realistic dream.
Next up...
Seira-san, don't blame me if I mess up your character a bit.
Now, you guys get it right?

Don't Burn

Matsui Jurina was a nice girl with a bright smile. She was a wonderful child who was bright as well as athletic. She just happened to be born in the wrong world with the wrong scenarios. Even the positive puppy sometimes thought that way.

She was born in a depression. Her father was a single man. He lost his job. Like anything, went to the drunkard state and then into that stupid death that she didn’t care much for. Thus, Matsui Jurina was left alone. Depressions can stay forever and that’s how it seemed to be.

In this cold world, she was without a home or warmth. Well, basically the poor girl was like a homeless beggar.

One day, she happened upon a plump man huddled around a can lit with a fire. She looked at the fire longingly. It was so cold outside on that day. The plump man’s name was Akimoto. He smiled and said, “Feel free to come over to the fire for warmth.”

“Ah…Thank you!” Jurina grinned broadly and quickly went over to the warmth.

It was so nice how there were nice people out there. The fire was so warm. The man seemed quite kind. All that wasn’t noticed was the fact that the flames were beginning to surround Jurina like a snake. Akimoto didn’t move to help, but just watched.

The end result of no one helping would be the same as death. Akimoto should have helped. He just didn’t. It was just like the Grimm’s fairy tale in which the old lady is burnt to death after catching on flames and the owner of the flames not helping.

Of the rich people in this snake eat snake world, there was one peculiar one. A nice pale girl with long black hair by the name of Matsui Rena was passing by at the moment. Unlike anyone else, she pointed out the truth.

“Hey, you’re catching on fire.” Without thinking, she dumped a bucket of ice cold water onto Jurina.

Jurina yelped in surprise. All the flames went out. It must’ve seemed kind of inconsiderate. Akimoto simply watched though. His expression was extremely hard to read.

“Wha-what…was that for…?”

“Well…sorry, but you were catching on fire.”

Then, Jurina sneezed, “…Achooo!!!”

“…Hmm…,” Rena pondered before deciding, “…okay, I’m taking you home with me.”

Before Jurina could respond any further, the rich girl snapped her fingers. A huge limo came over. Was this even a depression? Who knew. In the limo was a butler as well as a chauffeur. Jurina was thrown into the car and Rena kidnapped her happily ever after.

The End

“Waiiiit!! What’s happening!!???” “Even though I secretly want to kiss her…” “Please don’t go putting random thoughts into the mind of someone you don’t know the name of…”

It's basically Valentine's Day depending on where you are.
Where I am, not yet.
In Japan, I think so~
I am putting off that Seira-fic so much, but I'll finish it somehow!

Violent Kids

Valentine’s Day. Unless Ogi-chan had lied to Yuria, was some sort of day for some sort of saint or something of the sort. Bluntly putting it, it didn’t seem like that sort of holiday at all. There were so many girls forcing chocolate down the throats of boys they liked under the name of mandatory chocolate.

There were a bunch of rumors of blood and hair added into the chocolates, thus, the sometimes tomboyish Kizaki Yuria felt a little bad for the boys—at least the nicer ones.

Plus, the boys had to deal with things such as stalkers and creepy girls. They also tended to have piles of stuff gushing out of their lockers on Valentine’s. Sometimes, Yuria was glad that she wasn’t a guy.

Then again, being a girl made it awkward in one certain case. Even though Yuria was completely non-judgmental about girls liking girls, the person she liked may have different opinions. At moments like that, Yuria was jealous of Ogi-chan finding her ‘lover’ Yukiko. Plus, Yukko confessed first.

Thus, the sometimes tomboyish and sometimes baka slightly round Kizaki Yuria ended up stalking someone. Well, she herself didn’t think of it as stalking. She was just following a certain Yagami Kumi around everywhere.

Bluntly, Kumi was cool and pretty. Plus, even if Kumi forgot, Kumi had helped Yuria out greatly before. When the doki doki love season came along, some baka came stalking.

Actually Kumi was a little hard to follow around, but who knew what went on in her mind. Both Kumi and Yuria weren’t the brightest in the school after all. Of course, Kumi was smarter. Yuria probably wouldn’t accept that fact if someone told her though.

Back to the point. The clueless Kizaki stalked the even more clueless Yagami. Both with chocolates in hand, they were strolling around. Finally, it seemed that Kumi realized that Yuria was there.

She grinned somewhat coolly yet goofily. “Urm…I like you Yuria!” Despite the cool and goofy aura, she slammed the chocolate into Yuria at high power and awkwardly froze and ran off.

The stalking baka blushed and then threw her chocolate at Kumi. It hit the smarter baka’s head and down went Kumi. “I like you too!”

Well, all’s well and ends well. Even though Kumi was knocked out on the ground by chocolate to the head…

Ogiso and Yukko just watched from behind. Those two violent children…Ogi-chan couldn’t help but giggle slightly.

With all the blood and tears shed by me, I have finally finished something!
This....well, actually....I should've been writing something else, but let's just say...this happened.
It's based off of a children's story, so can anyone guess what?
And also, don't hit me for the horrible pun that the title is.

Furumizawa: Thanks~
MinamiYuki: More KumiYuri is here~

Okami

Eons ago, there was a little shrine in the middle of the woods of the mountains. Monthly, villagers from the valley would come up to give their offerings. In times of peril, some would come to pray, to pray to the enshrined wolf deity.

The wolf god went by many titles, but her name seemed to have long been forgotten. Kumi was her name, and it truthfully suited her very well. Her sharp black eyes, long, dark hair, the pair of black wolf ears placed upon her head, and her beautiful wolf tail went to show the second kanji in her name as well as her nature. And then, there was eternity.

Still, with eternity came boredom. Kumi was alone as well.

Lonely and bored, the god often felt empty. The other gods rarely visited, plagued with their own worshippers who hoped for miracles. The valley-villagers who begged of Kumi were as if they weren’t there. She just wanted a friend, someone to talk to. Kumi didn’t particularly care if she disappeared due to lack of faith at the time, yet the benevolent wolf continued to grant their prayers for good harvest and protection as she only could do.

So decades, maybe even centuries, passed just like that.

Yet at one time, there was a little girl with cute round-cheeks and bright eyes. Her name was Kizaki Yuria. She was just another one from the village below.

She’d play in the mountains, find berries to eat, and do lots of worrying feats. Well, in the end Yuria was safe-mainly because Kumi was there. Yuria was a fun girl-human-who Kumi found to be endearing. Whether or not Yuria really could see or hear the god, she would talk and chat with Kumi.

“Kuuchan, today, Juri-tan kissed Rena-chan. Rena-chan got really mad and exploded. Hehe…,” she would say as she looked directly at the wolf’s eyes.

Sometimes the conversations would seem one-sided, but when the god replied, interestingly enough, Yuria seemed to have heard. Kumi didn’t feel lonely for the first time in a few hundred years.

But, the girl soon stopped coming to play. Well, that wasn’t strange. It was probably that her family wanted to marry her off to someone, but if she kept coming up, she wasn’t going to be considered feminine. Kumi thought that Yuria was cute enough, but no one ever listened to the god, besides Yuria.

The god felt lonely. The god felt lonesome even though time went faster for her than humans.

One day, the girl came back, already in her teens.

“Yuria~ do you want to play today?”

“Kuuchan, I’m too busy to play today,” the mortal girl pouted and said, “I……want money.”

The god pondered and smiled, “Hmm, I don’t have any money. But, ah, aren’t wolf tails popular around the eccentric wealthy? Just wait a second.”

Yuria waited. Kumi then returned, all the blood washed away. She handed over a majestic night-colored tail. She tugged at Yuria’s cheek and gave Yuria a peck on the forehead.

“Sell it in the market or something,” Kumi grinned, speaking like a friend, a god, and a mother, “Don’t get ripped off.”

The human girl let out a little pout and a smile in return. Then, she ran off. Still, the god was happy. The god hoped that Yuria would come back soon and they could talk and play together again.

Kumi waited and waited, but Yuria didn’t come back so soon. It felt the same as that eternity alone.

“Kuuchan…,” cried the girl after arriving, yet another two years later, in front of the shrine that bound the wolf.

Kumi worriedly asked, “Y-Yuria, what’s wrong?”

In response, Yuria let out tears and sobbed, “I don’t want to marry him…Kuuchan…because I-”

Kumi didn’t really understand, but she kind of got that people were trying to force her to love someone she didn’t. That didn’t sound good. And she felt the aura of something that didn’t feel all that pleasing.

“Yuria, what are you doing up here? Let’s go back to be wed,” said the uncouth looking man who wore riches.

A few villagers were there as well. A sense of intimidation filled the air. Yuria was crying; Kumi didn’t like that. Still, gods were supposed to leave petty matters like this alone. The wolf tried to hold back. Still, when a harsh hand roughly grabbed her friend’s hand, Kumi couldn’t help it.

Kind of impulsive as she was, not thinking much about herself or it seemed, Kumi broke the rules. She unleashed herself from the shrine and appeared right in front of the mortals for no good reason in the eyes of the head gods. As a wolf of darkness without a tail, black eyes glazed with anger, she growled in her non-human form.

After being responded with a defiant glare and a harsh tug at Yuria’s arm, Kumi had enough. Simply putting it, there was a good amount of blood. The man was torn apart-though unfortunately the god wasn’t exactly supposed to do that.

The other villagers ran away in terror right afterwards. Yuria was looking at her with shaking eyes. And Kumi was sad. She whispered her apologies and turned away and disappeared off to her realm.

So, the wolf deity didn’t see Yuria again for a long time.

The head god punished Kumi and locked her away for a century. It was a long time and Kumi was lonely. It might not have felt that long for someone who was eternal, but it was a long time of isolation.

When she could take up her role again, let’s just say that the wolf said no quite bluntly without reading the mood. When asked why, she answered in a matter-of-fact tone. It should’ve been obvious it seemed. It was as lonely down there as it was in a hole alone.

Humans didn’t particularly have long lifespans. Yuria was probably dead, and Yuria was probably terrified of her. Kumi was aware, but she went ahead and decided to go roam the Underworld anyways.

Anyways, Kumi was lonely. In the end, even though basically no one else knew her name, even though she had hundreds of titles, despite everything she was labeled as, she was just Kumi, a person looking for companionship-not even a god.

She spent years roaming around. It was lonesome.

One day, she heard a familiar voice, “Kuuchan?”

Kumi slipped out a name as she looked with eyes showing fear, the fear of rejection, “Yuria?”

The girl let out a question, “…Are you scared of me or something?”

The wolf shook her head and looked on with somewhat sad eyes, “No…it’s just that, do you hate me?”

“Not at all…,” Yuria facepalmed and grasped Kumi’s hand tightly as she firmly said, “Rather, you idiot, I wanted to say thank you and sorry all this time.”

“Thank you.”

“Hey, what are you saying….? Ugh, whatever,” Yuria let out a slight sigh with a slight smile, “…let’s talk about what we’ve done all this time. We have forever after all.”

“Yups.”

And Kumi was happy.

Kuumin knew it would be wrong to do it out of love but the consequences didn't seem as bad as she expected.  Although this assumption is that she is older or a ghost perhaps :nervous
