newbie here! this isn't my first akb fanfic but this is the first one i posted. since tomochin's the first akb member i knew (i saw her ads everywhere the last time i visited akihabara), she deserves to be my first here.
your comments/criticisms will be highly appreciated! thank you!
The Sweetest Taste
Chapter 1
I received a wedding invitation from my childhood friend. He and I were really close until highschool. I had feelings for him that time but I wasn't able to tell him because I don't want to ruin our friendship. We went to different college and never seen each other again since then.
I arrived at the venue. It's an afternoon wedding. I tried to look for him, he really seems happy today.
After the ceremony, I went to him to personally congratulate him.
"Omedetou, Shotaro-kun!"
"Tomochin! I'm glad you made it here." He hugged me.
"Yes, the last time we saw each other was during our highschool graduation. And now, you're married. I'm so happy for you."
We continued our conversation. Then suddenly we heard a noise of a broken glass.
"Oops! Sorry, I slipped hehe.." A girl from one of the tables said laughing. She's drunk.
Shotaro-kun grabbed me to the side.
"Tomochin, can you do me a favor?" He asked in a low voice.
"What is it?"
"See that girl over there?" He's pointing to the direction of that drunk girl.
"Please bring her home safe for me."
"W-Why would I do that?"
"Since I'm already a married man, I can't possibly help her now. She's a very important friend to me."
"Shotaro-kun.. is there something you're not telling me?" I looked at him suspiciously.
"Okay! S-She's my ex and.. I owe her big time. Look, I really care for her so please, Tomochin?"
His ex.. I thought his wife was the only girlfriend he had.
"Fine, I'll do it." I finally agreed. "But I don't even know her address."
He searched for a pen and wrote something down. Then he handed me a piece of paper.
"Here's her home address. Thank you, Tomochin! Please take care of her for me!" Then he left me.
So I went to that girl. She's almost same height as me.
"I know you don't know who I am, but the groom personally requested me to bring you home. So come with me." I said, not letting her speak. I dragged her to my car and started to drive.
"So driver-san, what's your name?"
It's the first words she said to me. Her voice sounds childish.
"First of all, I'm not your driver. Second, I don't talk to drunk people." I answered.
"But you just talked to me earlier, chiyuu.."
Chiyuu? She really talks like a child. Maybe because she's just drunk.
"A stranger is sending me to my own home, and yet I don't even know her name! It's scary.. chiyuu.."
"Fine. It's Itano Tomomi."
"Tomomi.." She repeated my first name. After that, she didn't talk again.
We arrived to her apartment. There's Kasai written on her front door.
I got her keys and opened the door. Her place is bigger than mine.
"Where's your room?" I asked while I'm still supporting her.
Then she pointed me the direction to her room.
I put her on her bed. God, she's heavy. Before I turn away, she suddenly flew her arms around my neck, grabbed me back and kissed me on my lips.
What the.. this drunk girl stole my first kiss!
I tried to pull away from her but she's strong. She got on top of me and pinned me on her bed. She was staring long at me, like she knows me. Her face was so close, I can smell her breathing. I never imagined I can find a girl's face this sexy. Then she put her lips on mine again. This time much deeper, demanding for an entrance. I can taste the alcohol on her mouth. I felt like I'm also getting drunk because of that sweet taste. I can't move or resist. She's still kissing me, down to my neck and collarbone. And then she stopped.
She fell asleep. I immediately got up.
I had mixed emotions. It's not that I'm disappointed or something.. Wait.. Am I? What am I thinking? She's a girl! A drunk girl!
I took a deep sigh and look at her again. How come Shotaro-kun had a girlfriend like her? How can I leave her like this? He told me to take care of her.
I stayed and waited for her to wake up.
"My head hurts. What happened?" She asked. I guess she doesn't remember anything.
"You're drunk at Shotaro-kun's wedding. I'm his friend, he told me to bring you home."
I gave her a cup of coffee.
"And now that you're awake, I believe you can already take care of yourself. But may I use your bathroom first before I leave?"
She nodded.
I washed myself and noticed a kiss mark on my collarbone. Damn that girl, she doesn't even remember what she did to me.
I came back. She's sitting on the side of her bed while drinking the coffee I made.
"He told me you're his ex." I spoke to her again. "Are you heart broken that's why you drank too much? You know, you should be happy for him."
"It's not totally because of him. It's already been few years ago since he broke up with me. He told me he only liked me because I have the same name with his first love."
"Oh, now that you mentioned it.. You're Kasai-san, right? I still didn't get your first name."
"Yes, I'm Kasai... Kasai Tomomi."

I'm very happy when saw this fic :wub: tomotomo fic, because tomotomo fic is rare in box AKB48 fanfic in jphip ( actually tomotomo fic isn't much in all most of forum). Besides, some fics have still finished :smhid , some fics are dropped :( . I hope this fic won't like those :twothumbs

Chapter 2
That girl.. I can't stop thinking about her. Just how many other Tomomi have you met in your life before her, Shotaro-kun?
His first love.. I wonder if it's... Aaaghh!! Not possible! It's like I can still confirm it to him. He's already married! It doesn't matter anymore..
"Earth to Tomochin.."
I startled as someone poked me. "You're spacing out again." A tall girl said staring at me.
"Sayaka! How long have been there?"
"Actually, I was here first." She answered smiling at me.
"Oh sorry, I didn't notice you."
"Tomochin, you've been like that since you went to that wedding. Don't tell me you're still affected by your childhood friend?" She asked.
"No, it's not like that. I already got over him a very long time ago."
"Then why are you acting weird lately? Or maybe you met a new guy!"
A new guy? My head hurts. "Unfortunately, I didn't. I met a drunk girl instead."
"Then that's more interesting!" Another tall girl joined the conversation.
"Sae, you're late again!" Sayaka glared at her. "What's going on? Our friend here is not herself these days, and you.. you're consistently late."
"Come on, it's still early. I don't see any customers yet."
"You know, we still have lots to prepare for today!" Sayaka told her.
"It's also too early to boss around." She teasingly answered.
"Whatever!" She's pissed as she went to the kitchen area.
These two are my friends. This scene is pretty normal to them. We work together here. I'm a chef specialized in pastries. And I have my own cafe.
"So, about that girl you just mentioned." Sae continued. "I've known you for so long already, Tomochin. And this is the first time that something bothered you like that."
I was a little shocked with those words.
"Well, it's not like that girl and I already became friends. I just helped her to get home."
She looked at me with concern.
"You always work hard here, Tomochin. It's good to loosen up a bit sometimes." She advised.
"Sae! What are you still doing there? When do you plan to help me here in the kitchen!" Sayaka called out.
"Coming!" Then she left me.
It's been weeks since the last time I met Kasai-san. I don't even have a contact of her. Maybe she already forgets. I'm still a stranger to her after all.

I arrived home. It's been a very busy day for us. I'm tired. I laid on my bed.
I heard my phone ringing. I checked, it's an unknown caller. It's already late at night. I wonder who it is. I answered. "Hello, who's this?"
"Moshi moshi~ To-mo-chin~" This childish voice sounds familiar. I felt my heart skipped a beat.
"It's me, Kasai Tomomi!"
"Oh, it's the-drunk-girl-Kasai-san!" I jumped off my bed.
"Hey, that's too long for a nickname chiyuu.." That chiyuu again.
"Just call me Tomo! Since you already stayed in my apartment once, I felt like we're close to each other already!"
Close... How much closeness does she actually remember? Oh my.. I'm getting flashbacks of what happened that night. I know I'm blushing right now, good thing she can't see me.
"So can I call you Tomochin?"
"You already did before you asked! And how did you know my nickname?"
"Oh about that! I just heard Shotaro called you that way. I talked to him to ask for your number."
She asked for my number? Now my heart is beating fast.
"Are you free tomorrow?"
"Why do you ask?"
"Well, it's weekend you know. I want us to hangout or something.. I'd like to thank you for helping me the last time."
"Y-You don't actually need to do that."
"But I badly wanted to meet you again, chiyuu.." She said childishly. My heart is beating two times faster now.
"I'll wait for you tomorrow. I'll text you the time and place. See ya!"
"W-Wait!" She hanged up.
Did she just asked me out? It sounded like a date to me. And why does she excite me like this?
Few seconds later, I received a message from her.
So we'll meet at 9:00 am and the meeting place is..... EEEHH?!?

This place.. When was the last time I've been here? I don't get it. What was she thinking?
I read her message again.

I already bought our tickets chiyuu..

An amusement park. I sighed. This is so childish.
I called the cafe first before I enter. It's Sae who answered the phone.
"Hello, Sae. I'll take a leave today. Please take care of the cafe while I'm out."
"Oh, this is new. Are you on a date?" She teased.
"No, I'm not!" I said out in a loud voice. "Anyway, also tell my message to Sayaka."
"Don't worry about Sayaka, I'm sure she's looking forward to have me all alone here."
"Hey, I heard that! Give me the phone!" Sayaka shouted.
"You're so defensive! You know I won't bite. Hehe.." Sae said as she hands the phone over.
Those two fight really like cats and dogs.
"Hello Tomochin! Don't worry about the cafe, we'll be taking care of it. Just enjoy yourself, okay? Bye." She hangs up.
Did they really think I'm on a date right now? A date. Now that I think of it, the last time I've been here.. I was with...
"Tomochin! Over here!" Someone called my name. It's her.
She looks much decent now that she's on her normal state. Well I think she's actually.. beautiful.
"Come on, Tomochin! Let's go in!" Her mature looks are contradicting her childish voice. She held my hand and dragged me along inside. Now, we look like a couple. This is not a date! I'm trying to convince myself.
"Say, Tomo. Why did you choose this place?" I started to talk to her.
"I've been wanting to go here for a long time. I'm happy you came with me chiyuu.." She smiled.
"You mean, this is your first time here?"
"Yup! How about Tomochin?"
"I think I was in middle school the last time I went here."
"Tomochin's my sempai here then! Please tour me around!" She's not letting go of my hand.
"So where do you want to go first?" I asked as I get us a map of the place.
"Hmm.. I don't know yet." She answered cutely.
This girl asked me out and she doesn't have any plan at all. I sighed again. I guess I have no choice but to lead on this date.. Wait, this is not a date!
The lines to the rides are long. We took fast-pass tickets for our first ride.
"I guess we have to wait before our turn." I told her. She just followed me still holding my hand. It felt like I'm with a kid. She's really cute. I feel like I wanted to protect her, to take care of her.
She had fun on our first ride. I'm happy I made her smile like that. We fall in line to the next one. The line here is much longer. We had conversation as we waited for our turn. I told her about my cafe and my friends. She laughed when she heard how Sayaka and Sae fight each other everyday. We also talked about her job. She said she's working at her family's company.
"Ne Tomo.. I'm just wondering, how did you and Shotaro-kun meet each other?" I finally asked.
"Shotaro and I were together in college. He's been very honest to me." She answered.
"We only lasted for few weeks. I never had any relationships since then."
I stayed silent. I was afraid to open up the topic about the reason why they broke up.
"How about Tomochin? Do you have a boyfriend?" She asked.
"No, I never had one."
"Really? It's impossible that no one falls for a girl as pretty as you!"
She thinks I'm pretty. My heart is behaving weird again.
"Well, I loved someone before. But I was still young that time."
"Puppy love! How cute.. So you had your first kiss then?"
My first kiss? You stole it! It hurts that she doesn't remember.
"No, it was one-sided. I never got to kiss anyone yet." I lied.
"Oh.. that's sad." She looked away. The line got shorter until we reach the front.
"Yay, it's our turn now!" She really looks excited.
We spend the whole day trying all the rides. We ate burger and pizza while we watch the parade. We bought souvenirs in the shops. We also watched the fireworks together.
I looked at my watch. It's already past 9:00 pm. I didn't notice how time flew away so fast. I didn't feel tired at all. With her I felt like I'm a kid again. I never imagined I can enjoy so much like this.
"Tomochin.." She looked at me. "Thanks for today! I had fun!" She smiled.
"Me too." I smiled back.
She's staring long at me again. I wanted to kiss her... but I can't. She has no idea what happened between us.
"Ano.. Tomochin.. There's something I wanted to ask you about that night."
"What is it?" I asked.
"Hmm, nothing. Just forget about it chiyuu.. Let's go home?" She held my hand as we leave the place so-called the happiest place on earth.
And it is indeed. Maybe it's just because.. I'm with her.

*coughs*They did went on a few dates after graduation*coughs* Four dates got caught by public so far or one of them said it in their blogs. (Bieber's concert, Tokyo Disneyland, Korea and the most recent one, LA Disneyland :wub:)

Chapter 4
"Don't you ever get tired, Tomochin?" Sae asked me.
"Ofcourse, I'm tired. Our cafe's been busy today." I answered.
"I mean... Of that smile! You've been smiling all day!" She teased. "And since when did your cellphone become a part of your body? You've been holding that since forever!" She's laughing.
"Sae, let her be.. at least she's not spacing out anymore." Sayaka joined her also teasing me.
I just ignored them, I can't win against those two. I'm blushing again.
Since Tomo and I went to that amusement park, we've continued to see each other more often. We sometimes shop together and even watch movies. We exchange messages on phone everyday. But still, I never heard her mention about what happened that night and that kiss. I guess she really doesn't remember.
I'm sending her a message.

Tomochin: I'm tired. It's been a busy day for us here.
Tomo: Did Tomochin has lots of customers today? (o^^o)
Tomochin: Yes. Our cakes were almost sold out. Are you already home?
Tomo: Not yet. (ｰ ｰ;) I will visit a friend tonight first. (-_^)

Why is she visiting someone this late? I thought.
"Sorry Miss, we're already closed." I heard Sae talking to a customer.
"Excuse me but.. is Tomochin there?"
I recognized that voice, so I immediately went out to check.
"Oh! So you're that girl who makes Tomochi..."
"Tomo! What are you doing here?" I interrupted what Sae is about to tell her.
"I just told you I'll visit a friend tonight chiyuu.." She smiled. I might get a heart attack because of this girl.
"Come in!" Did I sound too excited? I noticed Sae and Sayaka smiling at us suspiciously.
"These two tall people here are my friends. The long-haired is Akimoto Sayaka, then the short-haired is Miyazawa Sae." I introduced them to her.
"Nice to meet you!" They both said.
"Kasai Tomomi desu! It's nice to finally meet you both!" She bowed.
"Your name is Tomomi, too? Now I'm seeing double! I smell destiny here.." Sae said grinning.
"What you smell are those unwashed dishes in the kitchen! So go to your destined place right now!" Sayaka pinched Sae's ear while dragging her away. "Please excuse us, Kasai-san."
"Hey slow down! Why do you always drag me to the kitchen with you.." Sae complained as they left us alone.
"You're right chiyuu.. They really look funny together!" She laughed.
"Ne Tomo, please take a seat. Do you want anything to eat?"
"Hmm.. I think I prefer Tomochin's coffee!" She answered.
"You mean that coffee I made you last time? But that's just an instant coffee I got from your kitchen!"
"I still wanted Tomochin's coffee chiyuu.." She pouted.
How can I resist that cute face. "Alright.. one cup of coffee coming up!"
I saw her watching me as I prepare her coffee. But when I looked at her direction, she suddenly looked away.
"Tomochin's cafe is nice." She said looking around the place.
"Thank you." I came back and put the coffee on her table.
"Oh, I missed Tomochin's coffee!" She took a sip.
"So, what brings you here?" I asked.
"I've really wanted to check out your cafe! And also I came here to personally invite you to come to my birthday party at home."
She's inviting me? I'm so happy.
"When's your birthday?" I asked.
"On the 16th! Is Tomochin coming?"
"Ofcourse! I'll be there."

"Say Tomochin, have you already thought of what gift you'll give her?" Sayaka asked.
"Not yet. I still don't know her that much. I don't know the things she likes."
"Why don't you make her a personalized birthday cake!" Sae commented.
"Sae! Your brain is functioning sometimes! I'm proud." Sayaka said as she tapped the short-haired girl's head.
"Hey, you're mean Sayaka.." She pouted.
"So did you like Sae's idea, Tomochin?"
"Yeah, I think that would be the perfect gift!" I agreed.
"We'll then help you to prepare! We still have enough time before her birthday."
"Thank you, guys!" I hugged them. I'm blessed to have such wonderful friends.

I'm now infront of her apartment, holding the birthday present I made specially for her. I reached for the door bell.
"Happy Birthday, Tomo!" I greeted her as she opened her door.
"Tomochin! You came!" She said excitingly.
Wait... I knew that smell of hers. I looked inside and noticed no one's around.
"Tomo, Where's the party?"
"Right here!"
"But where's everyone else?"
"I only invited you chiyuu!"
Oh no.. this is bad. Should I back out?
I don't really have a right feeling about this.
"Tomochin! Please come in!"
It's just the two of us here... and what's worse? She's drunk.. again!!!

Chapter 4.5 Saeyaka Special
"Tomochin is really genius in making new cake recipes! A coffee cake is a weird choice for a birthday cake though." Sae said as she finishes cleaning up the kitchen table.
"There must be a reason why she chose this flavor. She spent days and nights perfecting her recipe. Its taste has a unique blend. It's a personalized cake after all." I carefully put the cake inside its box.
"I guess we're done for today."
"Wait, I'll put the cake in the fridge first before we go home." She gets the box and...
"Aaaagghh!" She slipped as she accidentally stepped on some spilled flour on the floor.
"Sae, are you alright?" I immediately checked on her.
"The cake!!!" She shouted.
We opened the box. "Oh no.. This is a disaster!"
"Tomochin will kill me..." Sae cried.
"Remember this whole cake thing was your idea! Crying won't help, you know." I tried to stop her but she continued on crying. This girl is hopeless. I went closer to her.
"Okay, we'll find a way to fix this. Tomorrow is Kasai-san's party already. We can still make it on time if we do this overnight."
"Sayaka!!!" She hugged me. She's big but cries like a baby.
"So, do you remember exactly how Tomochin made this?" I asked.
"I believe so. I was there all the time, watching the measures she used." She answered.
"Then let's start now, we don't have much time left."
I prepared all the needed ingredients Sae instructed. We're lucky that there are lots of spare left.
Tomochin is good in cakes and beverages. Sae can copy her recipes exactly. And I specialize on perfecting the taste. The combination of the three of us is most probably the reason why the cafe is a success.
"Say Sayaka, do you think our Tomochin is in love with the other Tomomi girl?" Sae asked as she preheats the oven.
"Maybe. I've never seen Tomochin smile like that before. I don't think love between two girls is possible though." I answered.
"Oh I see.." Sae responded. She started to mix the ingredients. She stayed silent, maybe she's just focused on what she's doing.
Tomochin never treated us as her employees. She's a great person. Ofcourse we wanted our friend to be happy.
"Sayaka, can you taste this first? I'm not sure if I got it right." She dipped the tip of her forefinger on the cream and reached out to put in my mouth.
"Say ahh.."
I tasted it. This is a normal thing to us. "Hmm almost, a bit sweeter I guess." I commented.
Sae and I were together since highschool. In whatever we do, we always ended up competing each other. We're rivals in all aspects especially in sports. Maybe it's because of our tall height. It's funny how we became friends until now.
"Ne Sayaka.. I just wonder.. is that the reason why you didn't accept my confession before?"
C-Confession? Now that I think of it, it's true that she did confessed her feelings to me wayback in highschool but..
"Hey, stop joking around. I knew you weren't serious that time! How am I supposed to believe that?" I tried to laugh then took a step back.
"Sayaka, watch out!"
I slipped. That was the same spot where Sae slipped earlier.
"Why did we forget to mop the floor first!"
"I-Itai..." I realized that I'm on top of Sae. She caught me, I fell on her.
"Sae, are you okay?" I was about to get off her but she stopped me.
"Wait! Please let's stay like this a bit longer. My back still hurts a little.."
"W-Why? But I'm heavy.." I resisted but she pulled me back softly. She's lying on the floor, my head is on her chest.
"Sayaka." She started to speak again. "That time.. I was being serious." I can hear her heart beating fast.
"Why do you always think that I'm just playing around? Didn't you even notice that I followed you here? You're so dense!" Her voice is shaky. Is she crying again?
I looked up at her. Her right arm covers her eyes but I see her tears flowing down.
"Sae, I'm sorry. I didn't know." I took away her arm to see her face. She's now staring at me.
"Sayaka, am I just a burden to you?" She asked still crying.
I find her cute at that moment, she really cries like a baby. I suddenly kissed her on her lips. It was a quick kiss. Both of us were shocked of what just happened. I stood up fast. I looked away and saw the time.
"It's 2:00 am! The cake! We don't have much time!" I said out loud.
Sae got up too. I tried not to look at her, I pretend to focus on the next procedure. When I took a glance of her, I saw her blushing and smiling at the same time.
Just a few hours later.
"Yatta! We made it on time!" Sae happily said.
"I'm sure Tomochin won't notice."
"The cake is still Tomochin's masterpiece. It's still her own unique recipe especially made for Kasai-san. It's just the procedure we repeated." I said.
"The other Tomomi will surely like this cake! Because it's made of love!"
Does she mean Tomochin's love? Or also...
"Sayaka, this cake's a lot like us you know. Bitter sweet flavor. Just a perfect combination! But ofcourse I'm the sweet one!"
"You're starting off again, Sae! Just finish that already and please be careful this time." I turned away and smiled.

"Good morni... Sayaka? Sae? Why are you guys sleeping on the kitchen floor?" Tomochin arrived. I woke up and saw Sae beside me still sleeping. Her head is on my shoulder.
"Tomochin! Sorry, we cleaned up all night, we felt tired and fell asleep." I explained.
"Why are you so early? I thought the party is still in the afternoon?"
"Actually, it's almost noon time." She answered looking at the clock.
"W-What? We haven't open the cafe yet!" Sae woke up.
"Haha, it's okay! Sorry if I left all the cleaning to you guys last night. I just came to get Tomo's birthday cake."
Tomochin walks to the fridge, gets the cake then heads out from the kitchen.
"Hmm, guys?" She came back, maybe she forgot something. "I think both of you should take a shower first. There's lot of flour on your faces." She laughed and left.
We looked at each other and started to laugh too.
"Oh Sayaka! I forgot to ask this last night. What was the message did Tomochin write on the cake?"
"Message? There was no message." I answered.
"Uh-oh.." Sae started to walk away.
"Sae did you write something?!"
She didn't answer. She just disappeared.
"Sae.....?!"
I saw a small piece of paper on the floor. It's Sae's handwriting. It seems like a message draft.

Chapter 5
"Tomomi, sweetheart. Sorry if your father and I can't see you on your birthday."
"It's okay, Mom. I'm more than happy enough that you called." I answered.
"We're just worried that you're celebrating your birthday alone, you should have followed us here." Her voice sounded concern.
"Actually, I'll be having a party later today. So don't worry too much about me."
"It's good to hear that. Enjoy your day then! Happy Birthday." She hangs up.
It's my 23rd birthday today. It's true that I'll be having a party, and I'm excited to spend my birthday with that one person I invited. Itano Tomomi. Now I understand why he fell for her.
My family owns the Kasai Co. Ltd. It's one of Japan's leading companies. Our company is also the biggest sponsor of the college where I went in. That's why people there treated me like a princess. I met Shotaro in one of my classes. I thought he was just one of the boys who had interest in me because of our company. But I was wrong. He was the only guy who told me he likes me because of my first name, not my family name.
We went out a few times before he realized what he really felt for me. It's true that he liked me but he couldn't love me. He just misses a girl named Tomomi, since it was the first time they got separated from each other. I was hurt knowing the truth but was also thankful to him because he's been honest to me. Since then, I became interested who that Tomomi is.
Finally, after few years, I met her at Shotaro's wedding. I was drunk that time. I was actually celebrating. I just had my own apartment, my parents finally let me on my own. And ofcourse I'm also happy for Shotaro. At the moment when she told me that her name was Tomomi, I was so overwhelmed. But I didn't let her notice. I was secretly staring at her at the front mirror while she's driving.
She's the first person to see my apartment and even the first one to enter my bedroom. I don't want her to leave me alone, so I stopped her but I didn't know why I kissed her. Maybe because I was under the influence of alcohol. I noticed she's cute with that fang of hers. Then I suddenly wanted to kiss her more, until everything turned blurred.
When I woke up, I wasn't sure if that scene was only a dream. I followed her in the bathroom to ask about it, but I just stopped at the door. She's looking at a kiss mark on her collarbone. Its color can tell that it's freshly marked. Weeks have passed and I'm stilI wondering if I did that to her. But why didn't she tell me?
I asked her contact number from Shotaro when I saw him at the office. He's now working in our company, I recommended him. I also asked if she's that girl in the photo he showed me before and he confirmed. That photo was taken from Disneyland, they both look so young that's why I'm not sure if that's Tomochin. It's one of the reason why I chose it as our meeting place. It's true that I haven't been there too, since I didn't enjoy my childhood that much.
We've already spent many times together, and she never fails to make me happy. I was hoping she'd tell me about what really happened but I didn't hear any from her. Then my birthday came and she's the only person who came into my mind that I wanted to invite. This is also my chance to know if that kiss we shared was real or not.
When I heard the door bell, I knew it was her. I drank just one shot before opening the door. She greeted me but she hesitated to enter, maybe she already noticed that I smell like alcohol.
"Tomochin! Come in!"
She finally went inside, she's holding a birthday gift.
"Tomo, why did you invite only me?" She asked.
"My parents are out of the country and I don't have much friends." I explained as we sat on the sofa. She stayed quiet.
"Can I open my gift now?" I asked, then she hands the gift over. I excitedly open it.
"Wow, it's a birthday cake! And it smells like Tomochin's coffee!" I was surprised.
"You made this for me?" She smiled and nodded. I read the message written on top of it.
"Tomochin is so sweet! Thank you for the cake and for the message!"
"Message? You're now starting to imagine things, Tomo." She thought I'm just drunk in that moment. I wonder why.
"Eh? But I can see clearly that there's a message here chiyuu.."
Tomochin takes a look at it. She's now bright red. Her color beats mine.
"Kawaii!!!" I put down the cake and hugged her. She smells good. We stayed long hugging each other. Then my hug became tighter. I wanted to hold her more. I'm sorry, Tomochin.. I just wanted to know the truth, I said in my mind.
Then I kissed her. She resisted but I gently hold her face still and our lips touched once more. This is real. This time I'm sure it's happening. I'm kissing her and she's now kissing me back. Her lips are so soft. The taste of her mouth made me want more of her.
I started to undress her. I felt like a kid who's excited to unwrap a birthday present. I took off her coat without breaking our kiss, down to unbutton her shirt. I can now see what she's wearing inside. Oh no.. she's just letting me do what I want. I came to the point that I don't know what to do next, since it's my first time with a girl. Tomochin.. why aren't you stopping me? I started to panic. My mind went blank. I just pretended to fall asleep because of drunkness.
She got up. She carefully laid my back on the sofa. Then I heard her crying. Just a few seconds after, she walked out the door and left me.
I stood up after she's gone. I felt guilty of what I did. It's over, I ruined our friendship. I saw the birthday cake again. I took a slice and tasted it. It's a coffee cake. It was sweet, there was no trace of bitterness. My tears started dropping down. I felt all alone again. But this time it's different. I never felt empty like this before.
Then I heard my phone beeping. It was a message from her.

Chapter 6
She’s answering my calls and messages much lesser lately. Is she avoiding me? Or the cafe’s just busy?
“Aaaargghhh!!!” I can’t concentrate on my work, I keep on thinking about her.
“Ma’am, are you alright?"
My secretary went inside my office. She’s carrying a tall pile of folders.
“I don’t feel that well. I’ll leave early today.”
I said as I packed my things up and looked for my car keys.
“But Ma’am, you should sign these papers off first!”
She tried to stop me but I continued to walk out the office.
I’m actually in-charge of our company for the mean time since my parents are currently out visiting our branches outside Japan.
I started my car's engine and headed to Tomochin’s cafe. I parked infront as I arrived. I tried to look for her from my window. There she is. But who’s that guy she’s talking to? Maybe just a customer.
"The other Tomo~mi!” Someone called my name.
“Hi, Miyazawa-san!” I got off the car.
“That's too formal for a friend’s friend. Just call me Sae!”
“Then you can call me by my first name, too.” I told her.
“Alright! So, why aren’t you entering? I’m sure Tomochin will be happy to see you here.”
I still hesitated, Sae noticed that I’m looking at the guy beside Tomochin.
“Oh, him? He's also a childhood friend of Tomochin. He just came back to Japan."
I see.. another childhood friend, huh. Is he the reason why she's busy?
“Sae, why are you taking so long outside... Oh, Kasai-san!”
Sayaka said my name out too loud.
Tomochin looked at my direction and walked to the door.
“Tomo?? Hey, please come in!" She greeted me.
I entered the cafe and saw the guy's face much closer. He's good-looking.
“Tomo, this is Philip-kun. He's my classmate from middle school together with Shotaro-kun."
“Nice to meet you." He said politely.
"Kasai Tomomi desu." I bowed.
“Just in time, why don't you bring your friends later tonight?" He was talking to Tomochin.
"I was telling Tomochin earlier that I’d be having a welcome party later. I rented the whole place."
He sounded like he's inviting us.
“Great idea!” Sae agreed excitedly.
“So, we'll be closing the cafe early today.” Sayaka added.
"How about you, Kasai-san?" He looked at me.
“Tomo, you don't need to go if you...”
Tomochin’s about to say something, but I interrupted her.
“I'm coming too chiyuu..”
I’d be keeping an eye on this guy. I won’t let him lay a hand on my Tomochin!
“Good! It's all set. Here's the location. See you all later then!”
He wrote down the address and then left the cafe.
“Why did you come here, Tomo? It's still office hours, right?” Tomochin asked.
“It's okay, I own my time. I just want to visit you. You seem busy lately.”
“Ah y-yeah.. the cafe’s been very busy."
I saw Sae and Sayaka's reactions with her answer.
“So I guess, I should leave now so you guys can prepare. I'll see you later!"
I waved goodbye and left.
It's still early, so I went shopping first. I bought the sexiest dress there is, it's quite expensive but money doesn’t matter to a rich girl in love. I also went to the salon. I should look stunning in her eyes tonight, so that she's won't be able to take her eyes off me.
As I came at the venue, I saw that Philip guy already dancing with my Tomochin. How dare him touch her! Never underestimate a Kasai, I can hire a hitman right away to shoot him dead. Tomochin saw me arrived, she just stared at me for a second then looked away.
“Hey, Tomo~mi! You're here!” Sae called me, Sayaka beside her. They noticed where I’m staring at.
“They look good together, ne? If no one comes in between, they'll surely end up together, you know.”
Sae said grinning. Sayaka elbowed her.
“Sayaka, let's dance!” Sae dragged her on the dance floor.
These two, are they a couple? They give off a lovey-dovey vibes. I watched them as they started to dance. Being tall really stands out, lucky them.
I was left alone, I sat on the drinking bar. I stared at Tomochin while she dances with that guy. She looks like she’s enjoying his company. I sighed of defeat.
“One cocktail please.” I requested a drink from the bartender.
“Hello Miss, are you a friend of Philip?” A group of guys came near me.
“Not actually.” I gave them a dull response.
“Why is a gorgeous lady like you all alone here?” One of them asked smiling at me.
“Come on, dance with us!” The other one invited me.
He tried to reach me, but someone suddenly hit his hand away.
“She's not alone!” T-Tomochin? How did she get here so fast? I just saw her dancing with that Philip guy a second ago.
“She's with me! So get your filthy hands off her!” She yelled at them angrily.
“Come on, Tomo!” She grabbed my hand and we ranaway straight outside.
“What the heck are you thinking, Tomo! What if you get drunk again! Those guys might take advantage on you!”
She started yelling at me when we reached the parking lot.
“Tomochin, calm down. Look, I’m still in one piece chiyuu..”
“How can I calm down! You don’t even know what you’re capable of doing when you’re drunk!!!”
“And what does a drunk Tomo do???”
She didn’t answer. She went on pretending she doesn’t know. Now, I’m pissed.
“Just go back to your boyfriend!” I yelled back at her.
“Philip-kun's just an old friend! And why do you sound like you’re jealous or something?”
“Me? Jealous? Haha! Who's the one hysterical infront of all those guys earlier?"
“Can you see how you look tonight? You look so goddamn.….”
“I look what?” I teased.
“Arrrrghhh!!! Nothing! Just go home okay! You’re worrying me!”
“Then Tomochin should go home too! I won’t leave here without you!”
“You’re such a brat, Tomo! I don’t care anymore!”
She went inside her car and immediately drove away. She left me alone. Again.
“What a scene! Lover’s quarrel at the parking lot.”
Sae said as she and Sayaka appeared from behind.
“No time joking around, Sae. Think first of how we could get home now! It's late!” Sayaka told her.
“It’s the first time Tomochin forgot about us.” Sae pouted.
“I’ll drive you both home, since it’s my fault why she left. Hop in!” I offered.
“Woah.. nice car, Tomo~mi!” Sae was amazed as they got inside.
"Thanks. Our company deals with automotive interior designs." I explained.
"So where do you guys live?"
“Just dropped us at Sayaka’s apartment.” Sae answered.
“Eh? W-Why my apartment?” Sayaka refused.
“It’s already late and my place is out of the way. I don’t want to trouble Tomo~mi driving me all the way there. Do you want me to go home by myself?”
Sae looked at her with puppy eyes.
“Fine. You can stay for the night.” Sayaka hesitated but agreed in the end.
“Yay! Sayaka is the best!” She attempted to hug her but she was blocked off.
"Ano.. I just want to know. Is something happened at your birthday? Tomochin isn’t telling us anything. She acts different since that day.” Sayaka asked.
I kept silent. How can I possibly tell them that I harrassed their friend?
“I’m sorry. I’m at fault.”
“Daijou~bu! Whatever the reason is, my vote is still on Tomo~mi’s side!” Sae said.
I hope I'm worthy of the trust they're giving me.
"Oh, you may pull the car over here." We arrived at Sayaka's place.
"Thanks for dropping us home! Please take care, Tomo~mi! See you again."
They waved goodbye after they got off the car. Tomochin has really nice friends.
Finally, I drive myself home. As I reached my place, I saw a car parked infront.
Isn't that Tomochin's car? I looked inside, it's empty. Maybe it's just similar to hers.
I got off and started to climb upstairs. Then I was surprised.
I can't believe what my eyes are seeing now...
“It's freezing out here.. what took you so long?”
S-She’s here??? Tomochin's waiting for me outside my apartment...

Chapter 7
Why did I end up waiting infront of her apartment now? The last time I was here, I left this place crying. For that second time, we shared another wonderful kiss. But I was so afraid that the moment she wakes up she won't remember anything again. I tried to ignore her, hoping it would lessen the pain I felt. But I knew deep inside, I wanted to see her more. Like this very second, I just want to see her one more time tonight.
I heard a car engine, maybe it's her already. I can’t explain what I’m feeling right now. Just the thought of seeing her again makes me feel happy, nervous, excited… all at the same time. I heard footsteps coming nearer. Until her eyes finally met mine.
"It's freezing out here… what took you so long?"
I can't think of anything else to say.
"T-Tomochin… I didn’t expect that you'd be here."
She was really surprised to see me.
"I just want to make sure that you got home safely… And now that you're home, I guess I should be leaving now."
I took one step away from the door. She held my hand.
"Please..." She stopped me.
I admit I wished a little that she'd stop me from leaving. And I'm happy she did.
"This time... don't leave me…" She’s staring at me, I saw in her eyes how she needed me to stay.
"Onegai..." She begged as she tightened her grip on my hand.
I nodded and she smiled.
We enter her apartment. Everything was so quiet, the only sound I can hear is our footsteps. She’s still holding my hand as she leads me to her room.
"You sleep on my bed. I'll sleep on the futon." She offered.
I didn't like the thought of us sleeping separately tonight.
"Your bed is big. I think it's fine if we share. We're both girls anyway." I suggested.
"Okay… if it's alright with you." She smiled.
We prepared to sleep. She lent me some pajamas, she said they’re more comfortable. We lay down on her bed, facing away from each other. I can't sleep, thinking that I'm just right next to her tonight.
"Are you still awake, Tomochin?" She asked.
"Yes, why?" I answered.
We both turned around facing each other.
"Nothing much... I just want to say sorry for my actions earlier."
I can see in her eyes she was sincere telling those words.
“You're right... I was a bit jealous of your friend."
There’s a dim light in her room, enough to let me see her face blushing.
"You mean Philip-kun?" I asked.
She's jealous but does she meant it in a romantic way?
"He's already engaged to someone else. He came back to Japan because he's about to get married too."
I continued speaking to explain it to her. It might help to make her feel better.
"Ahh, is that so..." She smiled a little, it was a sign of relief I guess.
"You think he likes you?" She asked.
I never thought of Philip-kun in that way.
"I only knew him as a friend. He’s not telling me anything like that."
"Like Shotaro, right?" She continued.
Why did she suddenly bring up about him?
"H-He's that boy you told me you once fell in love with."
She got that right. I just nodded.
"He loved you too, chiyuu.."
So it was really me, but it doesn’t matter to me anymore.
"That was in the past... I already like someone else now."
I answered her looking straight into her eyes. She blushed even more. She looked away.
"Which reminds me... “ She spoke again.
“At that night of his wedding... when... you took me home...”
She’s now talking about that night… does she remember? I felt like my heart rate is speeding up.
“Did something else happen there?” She looked back at me, waiting for my answer.
So she remembers a bit. I know she's pertaining to what happened between us. I wanted her to know the truth.
I nodded. And she smiled, a much bigger smile than earlier.
“So… could you remind me of that again?” She said in a teasing voice.
I know she's just joking at the moment, but I still took the chance. I came closer to her, our faces now less than an inch away from each other. She was surprised with my sudden movement. I touched her smooth face, her soft cheeks, up to the corner of her lips. And then I slowly put my lips on hers. This time I was the one who initiate the kiss. No one’s drunk tonight, this is happening for real. So it was not the taste of alcohol that makes me feel like drunk before, it was the sweet taste of her mouth. Our kiss deepens, roughens. She's pulling me closer to her. I like it whenever she becomes this aggressive. She's now on top of me again, pinning me on her bed.
"There are two more things I wanted to ask." She said softly in between her kisses.
"At the Disneyland... did you lie about your first kiss?"
She said, as she planted kisses around my ear down to my neck.
I nodded. I can't think straight anymore. I grabbed her head closer.
"… Am I your first kiss?" It's her follow-up question.
Then she’s gently sucking some parts around my nape. I’m just letting her mark me, like she owns me.
I nodded again. She's making me insane.
"Second question… At the parking lot earlier... what is it that you're about to say with how I looked?"
Damn, she's still in to that! She started to unbutton the pajamas I’m wearing while kissing me down to my chest. I still didn't answer. She stopped and looked up to me, like she's telling me she won't continue unless I answer her question. She’s such a tease.
"T-That… you looked so… goddamn hot tonight..." I whispered.
She smiled seductively. She really has that sexy face. In my life, I never felt so much desire for someone like this. I’m craving more for her. I pulled her back to kiss me again on my lips. Our passionate kiss went on for I don’t know how much long.
"Tomochin, I... have a confession to make." She breaks the kiss.
"At my birthday… after that kiss… I didn't fall asleep of drunkenness...” She paused.
“I wasn’t drunk at all... I just freaked out.”
"Y-You what?" I came back to my senses.
"That time… I didn't know what to do next. I had relationships before but we simply just go out. I never had intimacy with someone else, like what I had with you. So I had no choice but to pretend falling asleep.”
She tried to explain her side.
"All this time, I thought you were so mature and experienced. So you mean now, you're starting to freak out again?!"
I blurted out in a higher voice. She gave me a wide grin. Did I sound too obvious?
"Wait, can I ask you one last question?"
She’s smiling, I knew she’s about to ask me something crazy.
"What is it?"
"Those times when I stopped… were you… disappointed?"
She’s teasing me again!
"I won't answer that!" I yelled. She’s embarrassing me!
"So like now... is To-mo-chin also disappointed?" She teased even more.
"Tomo baka!!! Go to sleep!!!"
I don’t want her to see me bright red again. I turned around facing away from her. I buried my face to a pillow. Then a few seconds later, she hugged me from behind.
"Tomochin… daisuki..." She whispered to my ear.
She gently held my face turning to her side and she kissed me on my lips one last time.
“Sweet dreams…” She said sweetly with a smile. Then we both fell asleep hugging each other.
I woke up before her. It feels good to see her lovely face first in the morning. I planted a kiss on her cheek, and then slowly got up from her bed. I went to the kitchen to prepare her breakfast. I look for something to cook. I found some eggs, ham and bread. And ofcourse, I won’t forget the instant coffee.
I came back to her room, she's already awake. She’s talking over her phone. She has a phone call this early? She looked and sounded serious.
"...I already know about that but... Y-Yes... I understand... O-Okay... See you both soon, Mom.”

I took a deep sigh.
"Why the sad face?" Sae spoke to me, she noticed I'm looking at my phone.
"You should be looking happier by now, since you guys are finally together."
"It's not like we're together together. That isn't clear yet between us." I answered.
"She said she loves you, right? And we know you love her. So what's unclear about that?"
"I know but... why do I get this feeling like we're back to square one?"
"Don't think too much, Tomochin. Maybe she's just really busy."
Sayaka said tapping my shoulder.
"Well, she told me she's having some family issues right now. I understand that but..."
"Hey... just give her time." She advised me.
"I-I guess you're right..." I tried myself to agree.
Days have passed since that night I slept over her place. Seeing each other became lesser and lesser lately. I have a feeling that our relationship now's even worse than before. Or maybe.. I'm just missing her.
A group of guy customers came. Their faces look familiar. They were those guys I shouted at before, protecting Tomo. I immediately hide in the kitchen. I don't want them to see me.
"Irasshaimase!" Sae and Sayaka welcomed them.
"Hey, I remember the two of you! You're from Philip's welcome party."
One of the guys recognized Sae and Sayaka.
"Yes, we were there. May we take your orders?" Sae asked.
They ordered a whole cake for a take-out.
"So you guys work here." He continued the conversation.
"Are you also coming to Philip's wedding?"
"We're not actually close friends. But our cafe owner might be invited."
Sae is still talking to them.
"Poor guy, ne? He's already been engaged to someone even before his birth."
Another guy said.
"What do you mean?"
"Didn't you know? He's getting married to someone he hasn't even met yet."
"Rich people these days still do arranged marriage, huh."
The third guy commented.
"Yeah and based on the news, he's going to marry an heiress of some big company here in Japan."
I can hear their conversation.
I knew Philip-kun came back to Japan to get married, but I didn't know it's an arranged marriage.
"Now that you mention it.. I heard it's the Kasai Co. Ltd."
K-Kasai?? Did I just heard it right?
"Excuse me but... is that company related to automotive interior designs?"
Sae asked curiously.
"Yes. How did you know? Do you also like cars?"
"Not really. I just remember a friend who works in that kind of company." She answered.
Is Sae trying to mean that Tomo works in that company? I remember at the Disney, she told me she works at her family's business. The company name they mentioned can already tell.
"So desu ne.. Well, if you happen to be interested, feel free to test drive one of my cars."
The guy smiled at Sae.
"No, she's not interested. And here's your order. Do you need anything else? Sir?"
Sayaka's voice is sure scary.
"Ahh, nothing more. Thank you."
Then the guys finally left the cafe.
"I knew it! Tomo~mi is really a rich girl! She has an amazing car, not all people can afford to buy that."
Sae sounds really interested on Tomo's car.
"That not the real issue here, Sae." Sayaka said.
"Hmm, are you mad because I talked to them?"
Sae looked at her again like with puppy eyes.
"No! That's not what I mean either!"
Sayaka blushed just a second. Then she signaled Sae to my direction.
They both looked at me.
"Are you okay, Tomochin?" Sae asked me with so much concern.
"Look... we're still not sure about what we heard. Why don't you ask her yourself first?"
Sayaka is trying to get my hopes a little higher.
I feel dizzy, everything's happening so sudden. If she's getting married, why isn't she telling me? Is she just playing with me? So we're back to this way again, waiting for another to say the truth. I thought we could finally be honest to each other.
"Why don't you visit her on her work? Since she's the one who makes surprise visits on you before. Then, it's your turn this time." Sayaka suggested.
"Sayaka's right! I'm sure she'd be happy to see you there. Like you were, when she visited you."
Sae thinks it's a great idea.
Me, I don't know if that's a good idea. Half of me don't want to go because I'm so scared to know the truth. And the other half of me wants to see her again because I so badly miss her.
So in the end, the other half of me who wants to see her won. I went to her work place. I brought some cupcakes I made for her. The building is not hard to find, it's huge and quite famous. I arrived at the main entrance, Kasai Co. Ltd, I read the name. I never thought her family owns such a big company. I realized that there are many things I still don't know yet about her. I'm getting more afraid but I still took the risk. I went inside and asked if there's a person named Kasai Tomomi works in their company, and the receptionist confirmed. So Tomo really works in here.
I arrived at the floor where the receptionist directed me to go. I searched for her office and ended infront of a door which says Director's Office. I was about to knock but I heard footsteps going outside. I immediately walk away and hide from a corner. Then I saw two people went out, heading to my opposite direction. They both look like high class professionals.
Wait, aren't those Tomo and Philip-kun?? So it's true... is that what's keeping her busy?
I felt my chest tightened. My eyes are getting teary, I wanted to cry this pain out. I tried to runaway. Then I suddenly bumped into someone and I fell.
"Sorry Miss, are you alright?" He picked up my cupcake box and helped me to get up.
I rubbed my eyes. I looked at him and saw a familiar face.
"S-Shotaro-kun?"

It's really easy to picture Shoutarou and Philip since I watched all of Kamen Rider Double, although when I imagine them in your fic, I still see them wearing their trademark Windscale clothing. Are they wearing Windscale?

Chapter 9
"S-Shotaro-kun?"
"Tomochin!" He was also surprised to see me.
"What are you doing here?"
"I.. uhm.. came to visit a friend." I said.
He looked at the corridor where I came from.
"You mean Tomo, right?"
"Y-Yes, I came to bring these cupcakes to her. How about you? What are you doing here?"
"I work here." He answered.
"Oh, really? I guess Tomo's out, so I think I'll just come back some other time."
"It's noon break. Maybe she took her lunch."
I see.. so she's having a lunch date right now with Philip-kun, huh.
"Just right on time. I haven't taken my break yet. Do you mind if you join me?" He asked me.
I agreed. It's been a while since the last time I had conversation with him. Then we went out to a park just nearby the building.
"You want some cupcakes?" I offered him.
"I thought these were for Tomo? Is that okay?"
"Sure, I'll just bake her another next time."
I gave him the box.
"Itadakimasu!" He took a bite.
"Oh, I missed your home-made baking! It's still as delicious as before."
"Thank you." I'm glad he still likes it.
"So nostalgic. I remember, you were always preparing and bringing me snacks in school. I knew then that you'd be a great pastry chef someday."
"I'm not that great. Right now, I just own and manage a simple cafe for a living. But I'm really happy with my job."
He paused, then he looked up at the sky.
"I wonder, Tomochin.." He looked back at me.
"What if we didn't go to separate colleges. You think something different happened in our lives?"
What does he mean? If that happened, I might not had a chance to meet Tomo. He's still looking at me. Now that I think about it, there's something different between the love I felt for Shotaro-kun before and what I feel for Tomo now.
"Why? Aren't you happy with your job right now?" I asked.
"I got my dream job. Thanks to Tomo, she gave me this big opportunity. Her family owns the company. And since I studied mechanical designs, she recommended me to work in here."
Tomo still helped him to reach his dreams eventhough she was hurt by him. She's really something. I am with Shotaro-kun right now but all I think about is her. How about her, does she think of me too?
"Behind her cheerful personality, I knew she's really a lonely girl. Since she's carrying the name of her family." He continued talking.
I know it's not her fault that she's born with a big responsibility ahead of her.
"She getting busier lately, do you think you know the reason why?"
I'm trying to get answers from him.
"Since she's my boss now. I don't interfere with her personal stuff anymore. All I know is that there's a big merger of two companies that is going to happen soon." He said.
My phone rang. I looked at the caller, it's...
"Excuse me for a second, Shotaro-kun. I needed to answer this call."
He nodded, then I walked few steps away.
"Hello." I answered.
"Tomochin, are you at the cafe?" It's Tomo.
"Uhm... Y-Yes, why?" I lied.
"I'm leaving the office soon. I'll be there in a few minutes. There's something I wanted to give you."
"O-Okay, see you then." We hang up.
I went back to Shotaro-kun.
"I'm sorry but I have to go back to the cafe." I told him.
"Is that so? Hope we see each other again soon."
He hugged me and I bid him goodbye.
"Tomochin!" He called me again.
"Tomo's a good person. I'm glad you made friends with her." He said.
I smiled and bowed at him.

"Tomochin, you're back early! So did you ask her?"
Sae greeted me with a question.
"No, I didn't have the chance to meet her there."
"But why?" Sayaka's also questioning me.
"I'll explain later. She called over the phone. She's on her way here. Please don't tell her I went to her office today, okay?"
They both nodded.
I felt excitement knowing she's coming, but the pain is still there.
After few minutes, she arrived.
"Tomochin! I missed you!" She jumped to hug me.
"Hi Sae! Sayaka! It's been a while, chiyuu.." She greeted them.
"Hey, Tomo~mi! Do you want anything to eat?" Sae asked.
"It's okay, I just went here to see you guys especially Tomochin!"
She hugged me tighter.
Or rather you should have said that you already had lunch with someone else. I thought.
"If you want anything, don't hesitate to ask us, okay?"
Sayaka offered her then they both left us alone.
"So, how's your day?" I asked breaking the hug.
"Tired.. I'm really busy at work. My parents just came back. And they're watching my every move." She responded.
"Is that all?"
I tried to asked her for more answers.
"Yes and it's so exhausting. I'm very sorry, Tomochin. But I did promise that I'll make it up to you so here I am, chiyuu!"
She's still not telling me everything.
"You told me over the phone earlier that you'll give me something."
"Ah yes ofcourse before I forgot! Here... tada!!!"
She handed me something over. And it's...
"A key?"
"Yup! A spare key to my apartment! We rarely see each other lately. That's why I thought of something how we can still spend time together out of our busy schedules."
"But why are you giving me this?" I asked.
"What do you mean why?"
I didn't answer her.
"Because Tomochin is my girlfriend!" She claimed me.
I kept quiet. I don't know how to react.
"Am I... wrong?" She asked. Her excitement faded away.
"Tomo... I can't remember that I agree with that."
It hurts to say these words.
She looked down.
"I see..." She sounded disappointed.
"I'm sorry, I assume." Then she suddenly walked out on me.
"Tomo, wait!" I immediately went after her.
She's about to get in her car.
"Tomochin... it's okay. You're right, we never talked about it."
I can tell in her voice that she's hurt.
"Tomo..." I stopped and looked at her. I don't know what to say anymore.
"But please keep the key."
She requested. She looked back at me.
"I love you, Tomochin... And I'm willing to wait for you."
After she said those words, she left.
I went back inside the cafe.
"Is it normal for an engaged person to give someone else a spare key to her place?"
Sayaka sounded confused.
"Sounds interesting to me..." Sae commented.
She puts her hand on my shoulder.
"You see, Tomochin. I told Tomo~mi before that whatever her reasons are, my vote will still be on her side. I trust that girl, you know. And I hope you trust her too." Sae smiled at me.
How can I trust her if she's not telling me everything. I thought.
I stare at the spare key she gave me.
Tomo... please... tell me what you are really thinking...

after reading chapter 9, i think tomochin is hurting because what she saw and what she thought but.... :nervous :nervous it's just my thought, I just think something, other side:
- If Tomo~mi saw Tomochin with Shotaro at a park, how's her feeling? She saw tomochin with other guy, she called tomochin to check her maybe because she hoped tomochin said that she was being with Shotaro at park, she hoped that tomochin will say a truth to her but ... tomochin lied, at that time tomo~mi must be very hurt. After that, she went to tomochin's cafe, try to nomal, and did what she wanted before but she saw tomochin's expression and what tomochin said :panic: :panic: :panic: it's very very very hurt :smoke:
the thing i mention above is just my thought :sweat: :sweat: , i hope it doesn't happen, because .... if not, poor my tomo~mi :on speedy: :on speedy: she was very hurt when seeing the girl she loves with other guy who is her first love (although one-side :sweatdrop: ), talked to him, carried and invited him cafe that she made herself (actually it's for tomo~mi :on drink: ) , lied her and hugged him and final refused her spare key and said things make her hurt :on kimbo:

November just passed, many things happened in a short span of time. The weather's pretty cold already. I wonder why she brought me here.
"Sae! I thought you trust Tomo~mi? So what are we doing here outside her building?" I asked.
"Ofcourse, I trust her! I just have a feeling that those two will continue being stubborn and will just keep things on themselves. We have to do something for our friends, you know."
I know Sae's such a good friend, she's really concern with the two Tomomi's.
"You think Tomochin can handle everything alone in the cafe?"
"Sayaka, don't worry! She'll be fine there."
"What's the excuse you told her, by the way?"
"I said we're on a date!"
"Whaattt?! Y-You're kidding right??"
Tomochin doesn't know anything about Sae and me, or does she?
"Well, she easily believed me. She even smiled and said have fun."
"I'm going back to the cafe!!"
I tried to take a step back but she stopped me.
"You're not going anywhere! You're now already an accomplice!"

"This building is huuuge! I bet there are lots of car models inside!"
She was talking out loud.
"Hey! Is that the real reason why you dragged me all the way here?"

I knew it.. there's something more going in her mind. I'm starting to take back what I said about her earlier.
We looked for Tomo~mi's office. When we arrived, we only saw a girl who seems to work there.
"Excuse us, Miss. Is Tomo~mi here?" I asked.
"She's not coming today, she told me she's not feeling well. I'm her secretary, and you guys are?"
She looks like around same age as Tomo~mi.
"We're her friends." I answered.
"Oh, so she has friends. This is the first time she had visitors."
She sounds really surprised.
"So do you know when she'll come back?"
Tomo~mi's not feeling well, maybe she's really over-working herself.
"I'm not sure. That girl doesn't follow her schedules sometimes. Like again yesterday, she just suddenly disappeared."
She was at the cafe yesterday, so it means Tomo~mi went to the cafe during her working hours.
"Oh, nice car designs!" Sae is now having her own world.
She noticed the miniature car models displayed in the room.
"You like cars?" The secretary asked her.
"I've been interested since I saw and got in Tomo~mi's car." She explained.
"I see.. if you want I can tour you around. I can show you our new models, since you're Kasai-san's friends."
"Really? Yes please!" Sae's so excited.
I think she's forgetting the real reason why we're here. Well, whatever makes her happy...
We went to another floor where the new car models are being displayed.
"Sugoi!!!" Sae ran around like a kid.
"So how do you call this model?"
She asked the secretary as she points at one of the cars.
"Uhm, that one I think is.. CBR1000RR."
She answered with an unsure tone in her voice.
"That is model MB1000RV."
A guy confidently spoke from behind her.
"I know that! I was just confused.. and who are you?" She asked him.
"I'm just looking around here. I think you should be careful in discussing these with clients." He advised.
"Oh, it's you! We meet again!" Sae was surprised to see him.
We recognized the guy, he's one of Philip's friends we saw in the bar and in the cafe.
"Hi there! I knew you're interested in cars." He said to Sae.
"You knew each other?" The secretary asked.
"Not really, but it's the third time that I've seen both of them." He answered her.
"So let me finally introduce myself. I'm Terui Ryu. But call me Ryu, please drop the formality. I'm a car collector that's why I'm familiar with everything about cars.
"I'm Miyazawa Sae! And this is Akimoto Sayaka."
Sae introduced us.
"And who's this girl beside me?" He asked.
"I'm Narumi Akiko. I work here so I know these models better than you."
She answered him back.
"Oh, really? So what's your position here?"
"I'm the Director's secretary."
"So that explains it!" He laughed at her.
It's their first meeting yet they're already fighting each other. And where did just Sae go again? Arrghh.. there she is! She's more interested in those cars than me? And she calls this our date?
"Please stop the fighting, the two of you." I told them.
"Since Narumi-san works for Tomo~mi and Ryu is Philip's friend, I'll ask you both straight to the point. Can you confirm if they're engaged?"
"Philip you mean Sonozaki-san? Oh, that good looking guy! He's always around lately, but I never heard of the engagement thing. Maybe it's confidential." She answered.
"You have a crush on Philip? Forget it, he'll never fall for someone like you."
She just ignored what he said.
"Anyways, I don't know either. I just heard that engagement news from my friends. They weren't sure about it too." He responded.
I sighed. This is useless. I thought.
"May we know why you are asking this?"
"It's a long story. We're doing this for our friend who care so much for Tomo~mi. Well technically, they like each other." I tried to explain.
"So Kasai-san is in love, that explains why she looks happier than before. I work with her everyday that's why I can tell if she's changed. She treats me nice, so I think it's not a bad idea if I help her."

"This is actually her plan, she's just a little disturbed at the moment." I said.
"Sae! I thought you're going to investigate! So what the heck are you still doing there?!" I called her.
"Look, Sayaka! These cars are so amazing!" She just continued on what she's doing. She's hopeless.
"Maybe I know how to get her attention." Ryu seems to have an idea.
"Hey Miyazawa-san! I told you I can let you test drive my car!"
Sae immediately came back to our place when she heard what Ryu said.
"Really?!"She asked and he nodded.
"Sayaka, can I? Can I?"
She asked my permission like I'm her mother.
"Okay, let's go somewhere else to discuss things." I agreed.
"How about you chief? Are you coming?"
Ryu asked Narumi-san.
"Chief? Are you talking to me?"
"Yes! It suits you well, 'cause you sounded like you're the boss here!" He teased her.
"Whatever! Since the real boss isn't around and I'm not doing anything right now.. Okay, count me in." She joined us.
We went down the building where Ryu's car is parked.
"We gain new friends, isn't it amazing, Sayaka! So this calls for a double date!"
"Double date? So who are partners then?" Ryu asked.
"Me and Sayaka ofcourse!"
"Are you two..." He is about ask something.
"Yes we are!" But Sae interrupted him.
"Sae, he's still not finished with what he's asking!" I said.
"Ryu, your car is amazing!" She just ignored me when she saw his car.
"So how do you call it?" Sae asked curiously.
"Diablossa." He answered.
"Cool name!" Then she gets on the driver's seat.
"So, if they're already partners. It leaves the two of us then, chief."
Ryu is talking to Narumi-san.
"Stop calling me that you Mr-knows-it-all!" She shouted back at him.
"He's handsome but he's so full of himself.. what a waste.."
She mumbled to herself in a very low voice.
"Did you say something? I think heard you talked." He asked.
"Nothing!!!" Then she got inside the car too.
"I have a feeling that I'll be frequently visiting Kasai Co. Ltd. from now on." He smiled.
"You seem pretty interested with Narumi-san. Just an advice, don't be too harsh on her." I told him.
"I'm just concern with their clients! She might ruin the name of their company, you know!" He laughed.
"How about Miyazawa-san? You like her too, right? I caught you glare back at me in the cafe before." He grinned.
I felt I blush in that moment. He can actually read me.
"I also have an advice for you, Akimoto-san." He said.
"Don't just wait and let the cars win her heart over you." He smiled.
I didn't answer him. Maybe he's right, because I'm starting to get jealous of Sae's new interest now. I get in his car.
"Miyazawa-san, you know how to drive right?"
He sits infront beside Sae.
"I drive in car racing games. It's my first time to drive a real car!"
Sae answered as she started the car engine.
"Whaaaaatt???!!" We all shouted.
"Chotto matte yo... ABUNAI!!!"

Chapter 10
“Thank you! Please come back again!”
I said as the cafe customers left.
The cafe’s boring without those two around. I sighed. I reached for my pocket and put out the key Tomo gave me. I'm staring at it while rubbing it with my thumb. I think it's not a bad idea if I use you today. I'll just close the cafe early since only few customers are coming.
Before going straight to her apartment, I went to the grocery first to buy something to cook for her. I'm planning to surprise her tonight when she goes home from work. I'll prepare her a special dinner to make it up for what I have said yesterday.
I arrived at her place and opened the door using the spare key she gave me. Her apartment is really spacious. I put down the groceries I bought on the kitchen table. I was about to start my cooking when I heard someone coughing. The sound is coming from Tomo's room. I looked inside and I was surprised to see her lying on her bed.
T-Tomo? Why is she still here? She didn't go to her work today? I came near her, she's sweating. I touched her, she's burning! She has a fever. Why is it no one's taking care of her?
“Tomochin? You're here... I'm happy.”
She smiled as she opened her eyes and saw me. Then she coughed.
“Tomo, you baka! Why didn't you call me? You should have told me you're sick!”
I yelled at her, but I'm not mad. I'm just so worried.
“I'm already sick and yet you’re still scolding me, chiyuu..” She pouted.
She’s still charming even though she's burning with fever.
“It’s alright if you didn’t tell me, but at least you should have told anyone else."
I said in a lower voice.
"You’re all alone here, what if something worse happens to you?"
“I told my secretary that I can’t to go work today because I don’t feel well.” She answered.
“You still worry about your work. What I mean is your parents, I thought they've arrived?”
“They’re doing some important business matter, I don’t want to disturb them.”
She coughed again.
“Oh, Tomo...” This girl makes me worry so much.
I noticed her clothes is the same as what she was wearing yesterday.
"You need to change clothes." I said as I look for warm and comfortable clothes. It's already cold season that's why people can catch cold easily. I turned up the room heater.
I helped her change. I took off her clothes and wiped the sweat on her body using a towel drenched with warm water. I blushed, this is the first time I see her bare curves... and she's so... Arrrgghh! What am I thinking? She's sick for God's sake! I tried to distract myself. I put new clothes on her and laid her back again on her bed.
“I need to get some medicines. You also need to eat something to have your energy back."
I was about to leave her bed when she grabbed my hand.
“Tomo... I'm not going anywhere, okay?” I touched her hair and kissed her forehead.
“Just stay here, I'll be back.” I whispered.
I went to the kitchen, thank God I bought some soup to cook from the grocery earlier. I quickly prepared the soup and also found medicines from her medicine kit.
I came back to her.
“Here... can you sit up? Have some soup.”
I blew on it first to cool it down then gave her a spoonful on her mouth.
“Oishii... Tomochin, thank you." She said as she eats the soup I made for her.
"It feels more homey when you're here. I feel safe and secured."
I'm happy to hear those words from her. I want her to feel better.
"After you finish your soup, drink your medicines next."
I told her as I was gently rubbing her back, and she nodded.
"Are you cold?" I asked as I checked her temperature.
Her fever went down a little. She laid back on her bed. I took off my sweater and lay beside her. I offered her a hug.
"What are doing, chiyuu?" She was startled.
"I'm keeping you warm." I answered.
"But you might get my cold." I saw her blushed.
I know she's just concern about me.
"Ssshh, I don't care..."
I put my arms around her, her head lying on my chest. I hugged her tightly.
"Tomochin is warm..." She said.
I don't care too, even if I get hurt in the end. As long as I can be with her like this. I can't ask her about the engagement thing now. Maybe next time when she's feeling okay.
"Tomo... I'm so sorry about how I reacted yesterday."
I apologized to her.
"I understand, chiyuu.." She answered.
It feels so much good to hug her like this. I want to be the one who'll take care of her. I want to protect her always.
“Tomochin...“ She spoke again.
“Hmm?”
“…do you love me too?”
I was surprised with her sudden question. But I know in my heart I so much do.
“I'll answer that when you're already well.” I responded.
“That's unfair, chiyuu...”
She's so cute, I want to cuddle her more.
“So, go to sleep now and take a rest. I'll still be here, when you wake up.”
I kissed her hair and hugged her tighter.
“I love you…” She said before she sleeps.
I know Tomo... I know.

“Achoo!!!” I sneezed for the nth time.
"Hey Tomochin, you don't feel well? Did you do something else yesterday?"
Sayaka asked with concern.
"The weather's just cold, that's all." I answered.
"And you guys, what did you do yesterday?"
"Nothing much..." Sayaka answered as she looked at Sae.
"We just spent the day in an arcade center, playing car racing games."
"Oh, that was... cute."
Her answer was actually something I never thought of.
I bring out my phone to check up on Tomo. I sent her a message.

Chapter 11
Today is the day Tomochin will finally answer my confession. And I'm so excited! I think I fell in love in her even more when she took care of me when I was sick. She's way better than medicines. The door bell rang. Maybe it's her already!
"Welcome back! Tomochi... Eh? Mom? Dad? What are you doing here?"
I was surprised to see them.
"Is that the proper way to greet your own parents?"
My mother said as she hugged me.
"I'm sorry. It's just that... I'm not expecting that you'll visit me today." I respond.
"Your secretary told us that you didn't go to work these past few days. Is it true that you weren't feeling well?"
My father asked with concern on his face.
"Yes, but I feel better now." I answered.
"Why don't you come back to our house? You're all alone here. We can take care of you there."
My mother requested.
"Mom, I'm alright here. And besides, a friend of mine already took care of me."
I let them enter my apartment. I saw that my father's expression on his face changed.
"Tomo-mi, you know the reason why we immediately came back in the country. It's about the merging of our company and the Sonozaki business. And the only way for that to happen is to have my daughter marry their only son."
"Yes, I knew about that already. And I believe you also know my answer about that. I won't marry him."
"Tomo-mi sweetheart, you know that's not possible. The arrangements have been done more than two decades ago, and we can't take it back."
My mother explained.
"Then why don't you ask Nee-chan to marry him!"
"You know that your sister has not been coming home for 5 years already."
She answered in a sad tone.
"And it's your fault! You can't force me to something I don't want to do! What kind of parents are you?"
"Tomo-mi, don't talk to us like that! Especially to your mother!"
My father shouted angrily at me.
"It's okay honey, I understand our daughter. Give her time."
"Tomo-mi, the wedding will be held on new year's day. Act like a Kasai. Better not disappoint our family."
My father said before leaving.
They finally left. I was about to close my door when I heard my mother speaking to someone outside.
"Oh, what a pretty young lady. You must be the friend of our daughter who took care of her. Thank you."
She said. Then a few seconds after, I heard their car left.
"Tomo, are you alright?" It's Tomochin who arrived. She went inside.
"I think it's a bad timing. Should I come back some other time?"
"No, please stay." I hold her hand.
"They're your parents, right? What happened? I heard some shouting earlier." She asked.
I remained silent for a while.
"Tomochin, what do you feel for me?"
I asked her. I should know.
"Why do you keep on asking that?"
"I want to know. I, uhm.. just saw you and Shotaro together again last time. Do you still love him?"
"You misunderstood." She answered.
"I went there to see you, but you went out your office. I'm sorry I lied when I said I was at the cafe." She's looking at me straight to my eyes.
"I'm in love with someone else. And it's clearly obvious who that person is."
"Then... uhm... is it me?"
She nodded.
"Is this mean... you... me..."
She smiled at me, showing me that cute fang of hers. She nodded again. Tears started flowing down my cheeks.
"Why are you crying, Tomo?" She went closer.
I'm really happy to finally know that she loves me too but...
"There's a reason why my parents came back. I don't know how to tell this to you. I don't know where to start..."
"It's because you're already engaged to someone else. And it's with Philip-kun, right?"
She continued what I'm about to say.
"H-How did you know?"
"It doesn't matter how I knew. That day, I also saw you together coming out from your office."
"Tomochin, don't get the wrong idea! I was only teaching him some stuffs about the company. I won't marry him!"
"It's funny how we always end up connected with the same guy. Another common thing between us besides our first names."
She only laughed at the situation.
"Tomochin, marry me! Let's go where we can be legally married! Let's go far away from here! Just the two us!"
"Hey hey hey... slow it down, Tomo! We can't take things in a rushed way. Don't decide impulsively."
"But I thought you love me, chiyuu.."
"Yes, I do love you and I want to be with you. But we must think these things over before we take a big decision like this."
"You don't understand. You don't know how powerful my family is..."
"Everything's going to be fine, Tomo... I believe our love can find a way through this..."
She hugged me and I hugged her back, like we never wanted to let go of each other.

I went back to my office to get some of my personal things.
"Ma'am? What are you doing?"
My secretary entered and saw me packing up.
"I'm getting some of my things here. I'm resigning." I told her.
"B-But why?" She was surprised.
"You know, family issues." I just smiled at her.
"Kasai-san, I've been working with you for many years. I wanted to know what's happening to you."
She looks really concerned.
"It's because of my engagement to Sonozaki-san." I answered.
"And you don't want to marry him because you're in love with someone else?"
"Yes.. and I don't want to risk my own happiness just because of some business matter."
"Is there anything that could stop this from happening?"
She asked curiously.
"Well, there's one person who can help. But that's way too impossible."
"Tell me, Kasai-san. Even if it's the least possible thing to happen."
She sounded like she really want to know. I never knew she care for me this much.
"My onee-chan." I said in a low voice.
"Onee-chan? I never heard you have a sister?"
"Yes, I had a sister. It's a long story. But I never considered receiving a help from her anyway. I'm going to leave the company. So please continue taking care of the things here, Narumi-san."
"Please call me, Akiko. I don't want you to leave, Kasai-san." She said.
"Call me Tomo-mi. Thank you for all your hardwork for these past few years."
"Thank you, too. I want you to know that you've been a good boss to me. Please take care of yourself and good luck, Tomo-mi."
We bowed to each other. Then I left the office.
I'm decided. I'm choosing Tomochin over my family. I don't need wealth or anything else, I only need her. I'm finally breaking free. Tomochin, I'm coming to be with you and no one could ever stop me from doing that. Whatever happens we will be together, this I promise to myself.

Chapter 12
"So now that their engagement is confirmed. What do you plan to do?" Sayaka asked me.
We're in the middle of our conversation at the cafe, since there's no customer coming yet.
"I don't know yet. But Tomo said there's nothing to worry about."
"But that's not what written on all over your face, Tomochin."
Maybe Sayaka's right, I can't help myself from worrying. She's my friend after all, she knows what I really feel. Her phone suddenly rings.
"Excuse me for a second, I need to answer this." She picked up her phone.
"Hello? Yes... Oh... S-She what?"
Sayaka went immediately to the kitchen, I can't hear her voice anymore.
"Sae, do you who Sayaka is talking to over the phone?"
I asked curiously.
"Dunno, maybe a friend. Why?"
Sae answered not looking to me.
"Hmm, nothing. She just sounded surprised that's all."
It's unusual that Sayaka gets phone calls lately, plus Sae saying she doesn't know who the caller is.
"Irasshaimase!"
We greeted a new customer who just came in. It's a woman on her late 40's. The clothes she's wearing look expensive. She went closer, now I recognize her.
"Hi, young lady. We meet again. Itano Tomomi, isn't it?"
She greeted me, she knows my name.
"Yes, Mrs. Kasai. It's nice to see you again. I didn't expect to meet you here."
She's Tomo's mother.
Sayaka came back from the kitchen. I saw her whispering something to Sae. They're both looking at each other while listening to our conversation.
"I heard good recommendations about your cakes, and I want to have a special order. First of all, is it true that besides my daughter you're also good friends with Sonosaki-san?"
"Yes, Ma'am. Philip-kun and I are childhood friends."
"Perfect. So can you grant me a favor, dear?"
"Anything in my extent, Ma'am"
"Please make a wedding cake for them."
I can't speak a word anymore after she said her request.
"I believe you already know that they're getting married. Can you make it before the year ends? Because their wedding will be held on new year's day."
So we only have less than a month, I thought. I felt trapped, I just nodded.
"I'll send someone to pick up the cake and also to give you your invitation."
She held my hand with both of hers.
"And also, I came here to personally thank you for looking over my daughter. Before we left the country, her father and I agreed to give her the freedom all she needed this year. And I was so worried that she couldn't live by herself. I was happy to know she has a friend like you. Thank you, Itano-san. I hope to see you again, dear."
Her smile looks so genuine, so I tried to smile back at her. I felt my knees weaken after she left the cafe.
"Tomochin, she's Tomo~mi's..."
"Mother." I continued what Sae's going to say.
"Then why did you accept the order? Since when did you start making wedding cakes?"
Sayaka asked.
"I felt that I had no choice. It's out of my respect for her maybe." I answered.
"Do you think she knows the truth between you and Tomo~mi? Like a mother's instinct?"
Sae asked.
"Or maybe, she already had it investigated or something."
Sayaka thought it in that way.
I can't think straight anymore.
"Guys, you don't need to help me on this. I will make the cake on my own. Please don't mention this to Tomo." I requested them.
"Speaking of Tomo~mi..." Sae spoke as she looked outside. We heard a car engine stopped.
Tomo arrived. Luckily she's few minutes late, she missed seeing her mother here. She went inside the cafe, she's holding some baggages.
"Tomo, why are you here? And what are these baggages?" I asked.
"I resigned today chiyuu! I took my things from the office."
She answered without any regret.
"You resigned?!"
I was surprised to hear she did that. But I noticed Sayaka and Sae just kept calm. Do they already know?
"So what are you planning to do now?" I asked.
"I'm planning to work at Tomochin's cafe!"
"Eehhh?? Are you serious?"
"I can't?" She pouted.
"Do you even know how to bake?"
"No, but I'm a fast-learner!" She smiled.
"Tomo, can you please act little more serious here?"
"Well I'm a pro in dealing with customers, maybe I can help you with that. And besides, having a kawaii employee like me would be a big asset to your cafe you know!"
I rolled my eyes. This girl has to be kidding me.
"You won't earn much money in here."
"That's okay, I'm planning to sell my apartment then I'll move in with you!"
"Don't do that!" I blurted out.
"But why?"
"I mean, don't sell it. Your place has full of our memories... so please..."
"Okay I understand, Tomochin. Then I'll sell my car instead."
"Tomo~mi! No!"
Sae suddenly shouted. Sayaka grabbed her.
"Sae, it's her choice to sell her car okay."
Sayaka tapped her head like a kid.
"But Sayaka... I like Tomo~mi's car. My savings will never be enough to buy it even if it's second handed."
Sae said in a sad voice.
"Sae, trust me. Her car will be in good hands. And you can still able to see it."
Sayaka assured her like she already has a plan inside her mind.
"Tomo~mi, I know someone who collect cars like yours. If you want, I can set a meeting for the two of you."
"Really, Sayaka? Thanks! That would be a great help."
Tomo responded.
"And Tomochin, it's already Christmas season. I think we will be needing additional people here for help. For sure there would be lots of customer coming in the cafe."
Sayaka's right.
"Okay, Tomo. You're hired! But still under probation! Sae and Sayaka will teach you things around here."
I told her.
"Yatta! Yoroshiku onegaishimasu!"
She bowed before us.

Since that day she joined us, there hasn't been a single day that we don't see each other. She's assigned at the counter, no customer can resist her smile and charm. She's so good at them. And she's right, she's actually a fast-learner. She's a big help in the kitchen too. I'm really happy that I can be with her everyday. I hope this happiness we have could last long, because I might get used to being with her like this. I'm so afraid that one day when I wake up, she's gone.
"Tomochin? Is there something on my face?"
She suddenly spoke to me.
"Eh?" I startled. I didn't notice myself staring at her for too long already.
"Oh, I'm sorry. It's just that... I can't believe that you're here with me. It's like I'm just dreaming and I don't ever want to wake up."
She blushed. Maybe she didn't expect me to say those words.
"Hey, love birds!" Sae interrupted our moment.
We looked away from each other.
"Aww, both your faces look red as tomatoes! Kawaii TomoTomo hehe.." She teased.
"Anyways, do you have plans on Christmas eve?" She asked us.
"I think none, so far. Why?" I asked back.
"Well, Sayaka and I we're planning to have a Christmas party. We'll invite some friends over, too. So are you guys going to come?"
A Christmas party? This is another unusual thing. There's really something fishy going on with these two. I thought.
"Count me in, chiyuu!" Tomo happily answered.
"I never spent a Christmas party with friends yet. I'm glad you invited me!" She really sounds excited.
"Then I'm going, too." I responded.
This will be the very first Christmas I'd be spending with Tomo. And I'm going to make the most out of it.
"It is set then! The party's at Sayaka's place. We will wait for both of you there!"

Poor Tomochin, having to make a wedding cake for that wedding is just painful (but it's not easy to refuse when the parents are the ones personally requesting it)...
TomoTomo have gone back to keeping major secrets (Tomochin with the wedding cake request and Tomo~mi with what she plans to do about the wedding though it's certain she plans on staying with Tomochin)...
Although they want to be honest with each other, I guess it's a given since Tomo~mi hasn't said what she plans on doing and so Tomochin has set her mind to accepting the marriage...

Chapter 13
Tonight is finally Christmas Eve. I’m still at my place waiting for Tomo to pick me up. We decided to go to Sayaka’s place together. My door bell rings. I know it’s her already. I get my things and open my door.
“Merry Christmas, Tomochin!” She greeted me.
“Tomo! Merry Christmas, too! Sorry, my place is a bit messy right now. Let’s go?”
We left my place and went straight to Sayaka’s.
“Merry Christmas!” We both said as her door opened.
“Guys, you’re finally here! We've been waiting for the two of you.” Sae greeted.
“Merry Christmas! Please come in.” Sayaka welcomed us.
We went inside and saw their two other friends who they also invited.
“A-Akiko?” Tomo was surprised to see a familiar face.
“Hi Tomo~mi! Merry Christmas!” She greeted her.
“I didn’t know that you're friends with Sae and Sayaka.” Tomo said.
“Tomochin, this is Narumi Akiko. She’s my office secretary.” She introduced her.
“Please call me Akiko, it’s nice to finally meet you.” She bowed.
“Itano Tomomi desu, but you may call me Tomochin. It’s nice to meet you, too.”
I was then also surprised to see the guy sitting beside her. So he’s now friends with them, too?
“You never mention you have a good-looking boyfriend.” Tomo teasingly told her.
“I think I saw him somewhere before, but I can’t remember.” She continued.
“H-He's not my boyfriend!!!” Akiko said in a loud voice.
“Oh Chief, why so defensive?” He called her chief?
“I’m Philip’s friend. You already met me at his welcome party before.” He’s now talking to Tomo.
“I’m sorry if you had a very bad impression of me and my friends back there. I'm Terui Ryu, please call me Ryu.” After introducing himself, he then turned to me.
“Itano-san, I believe this is not the second time you see me.” He smiled.
“Tomo-mi, Ryu is the person I’m talking about who collects cars.”
Sayaka joined the conversation.
“Sayaka mentioned that you’re planning to sell your car. Do you mind if I take a look at it later?”
Tomo nodded at him.
I grabbed Sae and Sayaka to the side.
“You guys have some explaining to do here.”
I whispered.
“We’ll explain all the details later on, Tomochin.”
Sayaka answered.
“But since everybody’s now here, let’s get the party started!”
Sae shouted.
Sayaka prepared all the food and they taste really delicious. We had good conversations. We laughed at Sae’s jokes. We teased Ryu and Akiko on how cute they look together. I can also see how Tomo’s enjoying the night so much.
The party ended well and it seemed pretty normal to me. I guess I've been too much suspicious on my friends. Ryu first left the place, then few hours later Tomo and I also decided to go home.
“Ryu liked the car and he's willing to buy it for its original price.”
Tomo said driving.
“Really? Did you ask why?”
“Yes, he said he only wanted to help and that will make Akiko happy. He seems a nice guy after all.”
So it means, he also has an idea of what’s going on. That guy's a bully to Akiko but he obviously cares for her. I thought.
We finally arrived at my place.
“Thanks for driving me home, Tomo. Sorry, I haven’t invited you inside yet.”
I apologized.
“It’s okay, maybe some other time?” She asked.
“Ofcourse, I promise.”

The next morning, I received a message from Sae.
To: Tomochin
Hope you guys had fun last night! Sayaka and I will take a week leave.
We’ll be back on or before New Year’s Day. Happy Holidays!
From: Sae
Whaaatt?! So this is their biggest plan! This is the most unusual thing they’ve ever done. They never let me handle the cafe alone for too long, especially on a peak season! They better have a very good explanation on this.
“Ohayou gozaimasu!” Tomo arrived at the cafe.
“Where's everyone else?”
She asked and I lent her my phone to let her read Sae’s message.
“So they're on vacation, too?”
“Too?” I repeated.
“Akiko and Ryu mentioned last night that they’re leaving for vacation today. You think they're all together?”
If that’s true, then why they didn’t invite us?
“Oh Christmas vacation! I'm jealous!”
Tomo said out loud. I then looked at her.
“Jodan da yo! I'm at my happiest as long as I’m with Tomochin!”
She looks sincere saying that. Then I thought of something I really want to do.
“Tomo.. let's not open the cafe today. How about.. we spend Christmas day somewhere else?”
I shyly asked.
“Eh? Is Tomochin asking me out for a date?”
I think she’s surprised to hear what I just said.
“Uhm.. well, we still never go out on a real date as official lovers yet. So I'm thinking, maybe…”
My voice suddenly sounded shaky.
“Ofcourse, I would love to!!!” She jumped to hug me.
She seems really excited. And I am too.
“So where do you want to go?” I asked.
“I want to see the whole Tokyo with Tomochin!”
“Tomo, we can't possibly tour Tokyo in one day.”
She pouted. How can I resist that cutest pout?
“Okay, I have an idea. Just come with me.”
I told her then we got in my car.
We went to a famous shopping mall near Tokyo bay. We hold hands as we get there, our fingers intertwined. So this is how a real date feels like. It’s cold season yet I feel so warm inside. We began to explore the place. Tomo entered a jewelry shop, she's looking at a pair of rings. When she left, I take a look at it. ¥35,000! Pricey! But I know it will look really pretty on her. Then we also took pictures of us together, with some big statues and life-size figures we saw as we walk around the place. We watch the sunset together, then after that we ate dinner at a restaurant near the bay.
“Tomo, aren't you done with your food yet?” I asked her.
"Almost, why you ask?"
I looked at my watch.
“It's time. Come on! You want to see whole Tokyo, right?”
I dragged her excitedly after dinner, heading to the famous giant ferris wheel in the place. We ride on it, then we slowly reached the top.
“Kireiiii!!! The city lights are like stars in the sky! Look, Tomochin! We can even see Mt. Fuji from here!" She sounded so amazed.
I'm happy she's enjoying the view of Tokyo.
"Have you been here before, Tomochin?” She asked.
“No, it's my first time here. I heard the overlooking of Tokyo from here is really beautiful especially at night."
"Yokatta ne.. Finally, we can able to share our firsts together in a place we've both never been before." She smiled.
“Tomo, uhm.. there’s something I want to give you.”
I reached for my coat's pocket.
“I saw you looking at them earlier. I can’t think of a Christmas present to give you so here... Merry Christmas.”
She opened the small box I gave her.
“Tomochin! Arigatou!”
She hugged me out of her surprise.
"Can we wear them already?
She requested.
"Sure, I just hope they fit well."
"They're perfect on us!"
She said as we both try the pair of rings on.
"I actually had our first names engraved on them. There, look closely."
"Oh, Tomochin..."
She's now staring at my face.
"Can I kiss you?”
“Eh? Y-You mean here? R-Right now? Our gondola is on its way down.. Someone might..."
She still kissed me on my lips. My defenses suddenly disappeared.
“Mmm.. Okay..” Then I kissed her back.

I drive her home and we arrived at her place.
“Are you sure you don't want to stay the night?” She asked.
“It's okay. I’ll just see you again at the cafe tomorrow.”
“Tomochin, thank you for today. This is the best Christmas I ever had."
"Me too. You just don't know how happy I am to spend this special day with you."
I gave her a kiss on her cheek before she gets out the car.
When I finally reached home, I went straight to my kitchen. I paused and took a deep sigh.
“Look, you're almost done.”
Tears began dropping like heavy rainfall as I stare at the wedding cake in front of me.

Poor Tomo-chin, I knew she was hiding something when she didn't invite Tomomi in her apartment. She must really love Tomomi that much doing all that sweet stuffs even though she knew she could lose her one day. Tomomi is one lucky girl! Chapter 14-1 Saeyaka Plus Two-Part Special
Name: Kasai Manami

Born: April 13, 1988
After Tomochin and Tomo~mi left the party, Akiko immediately shared us her researched details about Tomo~mi's sister.
"Akiko, where did you find these?"
Sayaka asked as she scans Akiko’s iPad.
"I tried to find her information from the entire building and ask people who possibly know her."
Akiko answered.
"When she was 18, she secretly auditioned for an idol group and changed both her name to Rion and her age to 15. Five years ago, their parents found out and were against on it. Since she's already on her legal age that time, she decided to leave her home and continue her idol career."
"Sugoi~ she's an idol?" I'm surprised. I wonder how it feels like to be an idol.
"Yes, she's actually the leader of an idol group named Survive." Akiko continued.
"So where is she now?" Sayaka asked again.
"That, I'm not sure. The latest thing I know about her is that she's now a brand manager of a fashion clothing line. Her shop is located at Shibuya. Ryu and I already went there to look for her, but the people there said she's out of the country promoting their company sister brand."
"Speaking of Ryu, where is he? And why did he leave the party early?"
I noticed Ryu's still not around.
"He said he’ll be back soon, he just needs to talk to someone important." Akiko explained.
The door bell rings. Maybe it’s him already. Akiko ran to the door.
"Osoi yo!" Akiko said as she opens the door for him.
"Sorry, chief! Miss me already?"
Ryu teased her and she just ignored him as usual.
"I brought someone along with me."
He went inside, then a guy behind him follows.
"S-Sonozaki-san?" Akiko was surprised to see him.
"P-Philip?!" Both Sayaka and I said in unison.
"Hi, everyone. Ryu already explained everything to me."
Philip greeted us.
"Philip’s my friend, I can’t possibly hide these things from him. And since he’s the groom to be, he should know what's happening right?" I think Ryu has a point there.
"Kasai-san and Tomochin are both my friends. I want to help them, I don't want to be an antagonist in the eyes of everyone."
Philip said sincerely.
"We know now where we can find Kasai Manami. It’s true that she’s outside the country, and she's in Hawaii." Ryu said.
"I already rented a private plane for us to use. Our flight is scheduled this morning. So, everybody should get ready." Philip added.
“W-We’re going to Hawaii?!” I was shocked with the sudden news. I know that we will try to find Tomo~mi's sister altogether, but I didn't expect to leave Japan. I think Sayaka and Akiko were surprised, too.
I sent a message to Tomochin telling her that Sayaka and I will have a one week leave. I hope she doesn't get mad at us, we're doing this for her own happiness.

Our plane landed on Hawaii after eight hours. We went straight to a hotel to get some rest after a long flight. Philip booked a high class two-bedroom suite, boy's room separated from the girl's.
“I can't believe I’d be able to spend holiday vacation here in Hawaii with Sayaka!”
I happily said as I look at the beautiful view of the ocean from our hotel room.
“Sae, this is not just a vacation. We have a mission here, remember?”
Sayaka said while unpacking up her things on bed.
“I know, I know. You're too serious.” I frowned.
I thought our relationship already moved into a next level, but why does it feel like she's out of my reach again?
“Sayaka, did I do something wrong?”
I asked, I sat on the bed beside her.
She didn't answer, she just continued on arranging her things.
"Is that kiss we shared a month ago means nothing to you?"
I finally gathered some courage to ask it to her. I've been wanting to know the answer since that night.
“Why bring up that topic so sudden?!”
She was startled by my question. Her face is blushing.
“I just have this feeling that you’re keeping distance from me again.”
“Isn’t it you’re the one who got new interests now?”
She answered, she stood up and went out to the room terrace.
“New interest? But you know that I don’t have anyone else!”
I followed her outside.
“Baka.. that’s not what I mean.. ”
“Then what?”
“Nothing.”
“Sayaka, please tell me! So that I can understand!”
I grabbed both her shoulders. I stared straight at her eyes, looking for an answer. We're almost same height, I noticed our faces are becoming less than an inch away from each other.
“Guys! We found the location of Kasai’s shop!"
Akiko came back our room. I immediately took my hands off Sayaka and then she turned away from me.
"Uhm.. did I interrupt something?”
Akiko asked as she gets closer.
“No! No!" Sayaka and I both answered.
We took a glance on each other then looked away again.
"We'll be going to that shop tomorrow. So better sleep early, guys."
Akiko said as she went to her bed.
Sayaka and I didn't have the chance to continue our conversation anymore. We still have lots of time, I thought.

The next day, we went to the place where Kasai might be staying. It's a girls clothing shop. We entered the place, the dresses here are so cute.
“Excuse me, is Kasai Rion here?”
Ryu asked a lady near the counter area.
“I am who you're looking for, who are you?”
She turned around. Whoaa.. so pretty just like Tomo~mi!
“We're Tomo~mi’s friends, we came all the way here to find you.” Akiko said.
"What about her?" She looked away, acting she doesn't care.
“Tomo~mi's about to get married next week, she's being forced by your parents. We're here to ask for your help, Kasai-san.”
Sayaka explained.
“And you want me to get married in her place? Sorry, but that's not possible. I already cut the connection between me and my family many years ago.”
“Kasai-san, I’m Sonozaki Philip."
Philip went infront and introduced himself.
"It's me who your sister's getting married to. In behalf of the Sonozaki, I apologize for the problem we're bringing to your family. I believe you already know that the arrangement has been made even before we we're born, and we can't just runaway from it. Your sister is my friend, and the person she loves is a good friend of mine, too. I can't hurt them both."
He explained, his voice full of sincerity.
“I have a proposal to offer. If you agree to marry me, I assure you that you may continue your own life just the way it is. I won't intrude your privacy and will respect your decisions. If it happens that you didn't learn to like me at all, we can immediately have a divorce after."
“So Tomo's in love with another person. I appreciate your proposal, Sonozaki-san. But I'm sorry, I can't do something about it.”
She started to walk away from us. I felt that we are about to lose hope.
“Please Kasai-san! I beg you! You're the only person who can help our friends!"
I tried to catch her from behind.
"You just don’t know how happy your sister is right now! You never know because you're not there! But we... all of us witnessed the happiness they share together! And we can't just sit back and watched them suffer!”
"Sae..." Sayaka holds my hand, I'm shaking.
“I’m glad Tomo made such good friends." Kasai-san finally spoke.
"You see since when we were kids, I’ve been the only friend she got. If there’s one thing I regret about leaving home, it is when I left her alone." She turned around again facing us. She smiled.
"I'll give you a chance, Sonozaki-san. I'll accept your proposal...”
She paused, looking directly at Philip.
“Only if... you win a car race against me."

Chapter 14-2 Saeyaka Plus Two-Part Special
I think I overslept. When I woke up this morning, I was the only person left in our suite. So I decided to go outside the hotel and walk along the shore to find my friends. I saw Akiko and Ryu together talking. I sat beside them on the beach sand.
"I missed out her other details. Kasai Manami used to race in her teenage years, her father taught her how to drive. It's their quality time as father and daughter. And based on what I gathered, she's always the champion. Most probably because of their tandem, she races while her father and his team maintains the car." Akiko said as she browses her iPad.
"I'm not surprised if she's good in cars, she's an heiress of Kasai Co. Ltd. after all. But it doesn't mean that she can underestimate Philip's capability. He's a born genius, he can master anything so fast. He won't give up when something or someone challenges him, and I think this is the first time a girl did that." Ryu defended Philip.
"Where is he by the way?" She asked.
"He's practicing on the raceway. I know him, he just can't stop once he get started on something. He still has three more days to improve his racing skills."
"I noticed that you guys are now getting along with each other very well!"
I joined their conversation to tease them.
"I guess chief is getting softer on me now, Sae." Ryu answered me with a wide smile.
"Don't get the wrong idea. Treating you in a nicer way doesn't mean anything more than that." Akiko said trying to act cold, but both Ryu and I saw her blushing.
"Anyway, Philip told me we should enjoy our stay here in Hawaii. So come on guys! Let's enjoy the beach!" Ryu invited us to swim.
"I'll follow you later, I still need to find Sayaka. Then I'll ask her to join us, too."
I try to look around for Sayaka. I saw her laying on a beach lounge chair under an umbrella. She's so sexy on her swimsuit with those beautiful pair of long legs.
"Sayaka, I've been searching for you the whole morning. Why didn't you wake me up?" I approached her.
"I tried to wake you up like a hundred times, but you kept sleeping like a log." She answered facing me, I can't see if she's looking at me because of her sunglasses.
"Ryu and Akiko wants us to join them swim on the beach."
"Go on, I'll just watch you guys over here."
What a kill joy. I thought.
"Sayaka, can you please tell me what's going on with you?"
"Don't mind me, just enjoy yourself like you've been doing since lately."
"Eh?"
"I still remember what you did on our supposedly first date. You're more interested in other things than me. Well maybe I'm just used to getting your full attention before." She sat up and took her sunglasses off.
"But that's not true! I love you, Sayaka! Nothing's more important to me than you." I blurted out in a loud voice. She blushed and looked away.
"How about we forget about it and we make this day our first date instead? The weather is good and the scenery is very romantic." I suggested her.
"I don't feel like going anywhere else." She lays back and wears her sunglasses again, like saying she's not interested.
I'm somehow pissed. I lean closer to her and stole a kiss from her lips. Then I ranaway from her fast.
"SAAEEEEE!!!" She stood up shouting my name.
"See, my kiss brought your senses back! It's like I'm a prince waking up my sleeping princess!" I shouted back.
"Shut up! You're a dead meat when I catch you!"
"Catch me if you can!!!"
We ran along the beach until we reach where Akiko and Ryu are. And we all had fun spending time together.

"Feels nostalgic." Kasai-san said as she arrived at the raceway. Today is the day of the race.
"Kasai-san, ganbatte ne!" We also wish her good luck.
"Please call me Rion. Tomo's friends are my friends, too." She answered with a genuine smile on her face. She turned to Philip.
"So are you ready Sonozaki-san?"
"Ofcourse, I've practiced so hard for this day." He answered her.
"Is that how much you don't want to marry my sister?"
"No.. actually this is the first time in my life that I put so much of my time and effort to get a girl."
We saw Rion's surprised reaction with what he just said. She turned away and spoke again.
"W-Well uhm, if you really want to become part of the Kasai family, then show me a good performance." The tone of her voice changed. She then headed to her car.
"Philip! Ganbatte ne!" We all said as Philip gets in his car, too.
"Hai! Don't worry guys, I will win this race!" There's so much confidence on his voice.
Philip puts on his helmet and turns on his car stereo.

They both step on the accelerator and the race began. We all cheer for them with so much excitement.

"Sae, I'm nervous." She spoke to me.
"But I will accept whoever wins this race because I know everyone is doing their best." She continued.

"I learn that love is not about winning or losing, it's about fighting for it until the very end." I listened to the words she's saying.

"I love you too, Sae." She faced me still holding my hand.
"Because of you, I finally learned how to fight for love."

I'm speechless, but I don't need to speak to tell her how I feel. Because she already knows the happiness she's bringing to me right now. By just staring at each other, we already understand.

"They're back!" Akiko shouted. We both looked back at the race to see what's happening.
"Go Philip! You're almost there!" Ryu cheered for his friend.

The race is about to end so soon. Sayaka tightens her grip on my hand. I looked at her, she looked back at me. We gave each other a smile, a sign that we're ready to face whatever the result will be.

Their cars are side by side each other. We all thought that this race will end up in a tie, but it's not. And the person who first reached the finish line is.....

Where am I? I looked around and noticed that I'm inside a church. I'm dressed like a guy, wearing a groom tuxedo. I faced straight ahead and saw Tomo walking down the aisle. My God, she's so beautiful in her white wedding dress. She's slowly getting near me. I'm about to reach her hand but she only passed me by and went to the man next to me.
SNAP. I woke up.

I took a sigh. That was just a dream. And why the heck am I doing danso there wearing a tuxedo? I wanted to wear a wedding dress, too...
"To~mo~chin.. You're spacing out, chiyuu.." Tomo poked me, I didn't notice her.
"Oh.. sorry, I was just thinking of the dream I had last night."
"Was it a nice dream?" She asked.
"Well, it started a good dream... but ended a nightmare."
Tomorrow is new year's day, the day of her wedding. Maybe I'm just worrying about it too much to have such dream. And now that I think about it...
"By the way, Tomo. What do you want to do later? It's new year's eve. Do you want us to go to the shrine or somewhere else?"
"Anywhere is fine, chiyuu.. As long as I'd be spending the turning of the year with Tomochin."
I feel the same, I want her to be the last person I'm with this year and the first person I'd be with for the coming year.
We're still deciding which place to go when a group of guys wearing black suits suddenly came inside the cafe.
"Ojou-sama, your parents wanted to see you." One of them said forcing Tomo to come with them. I immediately tried to get her back but they pushed me away.
"Don't touch her!" Tomo shouted at them.
"I'll come with you! So just let her!" She ordered in an angry voice. She then turned to me and said..
"Tomochin.. don't worry, I'll just talk to my parents to clear things out. I'll come back to you, I promise."
They left the cafe with Tomo, one of those guys came back and approached me.
"Itano-san, our Madam wanted to thank you for the wedding cake you made. She requested me to give this to you." He said as he handed me an invitation and left immediately after.
Now my nightmare is slowly becoming reality. I look at the wedding invitation. My chest hurts, I fall on my knees. I feel so weak. Tomo... please come back...

I waited for her all day in the cafe, holding on to her promise that she'll come back. And now it's almost midnight. I guess I'll be spending new year's eve alone. I suddenly feel so scared. What if she doesn't return anymore? I don't know if I can still live without her. I'm about to lose my mind. I started to cry.
Then the door opened.
"Tomochin!" She came back. She went around the counter's table where I'm leaning on.
"I'm here, I'm sorry.. please don't cry anymore. I told you I'll come back, chiyuu.."
I'm still shaking, my heartbeat isn't getting any slower. She wipes off my tears, she touches my face then softly kisses me on my lips.
"Happy new year, Tomochin..."
Upon hearing her words, I reached for her and hugged her tightly. I won't ever let go of her anymore. Then I put my lips on hers. It was a sweet kiss at first then slowly became a selfish, aggressive one.
I pulled her closer, I want to feel her more. I don't know how long we stood there kissing, we only sometimes break off for air. The night was so quiet, I can only hear our heavy breathing between our caresses. She started to plant kisses on my temple, her lips slowly traveling down to my neck, her hand touching my chest...
Then she stopped.
"Really Tomo.. you're not doing this to me again, do you?" I'm at my peak of this heavenly feeling, I don't want her to stop.
"N-No, it's not what you think chiyuu.. It's just that.. is it okay we do this here?"
She's right, I totally forgot where we are. I realized we're actually making out in my cafe!
"So... how about we continue this in my place tonight?" I suggested. At the sound of my voice, she knows my mood is still there and not fading away.

I opened my door and we went inside my apartment. I hold her hand and lead her straight to my room. We sit on one side of my bed. We're just staring at each other still silent.
I began to unbutton her coat and take off her clothes under it. She also started taking off mine, I can't hold back anymore. I pulled her closer to me, filling the gaps between us. We kissed passionately, tasting each other's mouth. We slowly lay down my bed not breaking the kiss, placing herself on top of me.
"Tomochin, I warn you.. I'm not stopping this time.." She said looking at me, I can see her eyes burning with passion.
"I warn you, too.. I'll make you regret if you pause even a second.." I answered her. I put my arms around her neck, one hand cupping the back of her head.
"I still don't know the next thing to do.. but I know what I want right now.. I want to know everything about Tomochin.. every inch of you.."
Then she puts her mouth on mine again. Her tongue demands for an entrance and so I welcome it with mine. Letting them dance in a synchronized rhythm. We reached for each other's remaining clothes, taking them off one by one until they are all gone.
I'm ready to give myself to her, only to this person I deeply love. We explored one another, touching... tasting... trailing every part of each other's body without letting a skin left undiscovered. It was a give and take, and then vice versa. We shared everything... the heat, the passion, the pleasure. We spent the whole night making love to each other, beautiful burning like fireworks.
"I-I love you, Tomo..." Those are the last words I let out before I finally gave in.

When I woke up the next morning, I was left on my bed all alone. She's already gone. Where is she? I panicked, I look at the time. Did she... oh my God... the WEDDING!

After reading this chapter, I think 2 case for final chapter :
1. Chiyuu asked her parent to meet Tomochin last time, her parent agreed. And now after "the night" she has to come back wedding :cry: , but in wedding, Tomochin goes to weding to get her chiyuu :wub:, yep like drama :twisted: and her sister with Sayaka and Sae appear in time,..... end, Tomotomo is together, happy ending :w00t:
but I lead the second case :on drink:, and it can happen with 70% :lol:, the second case is: when Chiyuu came back to meet her parent with guys in black, her parent ask her have to marry Phillip and of course she won't accept, maybe they'' have a arguement :lol: but het sister and Phillip come back on time with their friends, and kasai's parent agree a wedding of Chiyuu's sister and Phillip so Chiyuu can come back cafe in night to meet Tomochin :wriggly:. In next morning, when Tomo~mi wakes up, she sees Tomochin is in good sleep, so shen doesn't want to wake Tomochin up,she goes to wedding because this is her sister's wedding, but because Tomochin doesn't know anything so she goes to wedding so that she can get her chiyuu back :wub: , and in wedding, everything is clear
And right now i think about a third case :glasses:
It is: when chiyuu come back for preparing her wedding in the next morning, her sister, Phillip and her friends come back in time so all of her wedding clothes, she gives her sister :hiakhiakhiak: ,....
although any circumstance happens, I think maybe it'll have a scene that Tomochin confesses with Tomo~mi in front of the Kasai, her friends and two family's guess :on gay: . I think it's romatic

Chapter 16
I immediately went to the church venue written on the invitation. I hurried myself only to find out that nothing awaits me there anymore, just people already cleaning up the wedding decors.
No.. this isn't happening! I'm too late.. the wedding has ended. I feel like the heavens fall down on me. My knees are getting weak again, I try to find something to sit on inside the place. My mind's getting blank, I don't know what to do anymore. Then I heard voices coming near me.
"Tomochin? Hisashiburi!" Two girls approached me. I recognized their faces, they're my highschool friends.
"Hey..." I greeted them back, trying my best to put a smile on my face.
"So you're also invited in Philip-kun's wedding? It already ended more than half an hour ago."
It's confirmed, their wedding did happen today. I felt like my heart is being stabbed by a thousand knives.
"This event is like a reunion! The two us here met just today, too! It's been years, ne?"
I'm also glad to see them, but I'm not in the right mood. My heart just died, my whole system is in mourning state.
"We're now going to the reception venue. Come on, isshouni iku!"
They invited me to come with them, I didn't refuse. I tagged along, walking like a zombie. I remained silent the whole duration inside the car. I only listened to their conversation.
"They said it's the wedding of the year! They made me one of the bridesmaids but I'm not even related to them. Actually, I wasn't informed that Philip-kun is the groom."
"Really? Same here! I didn't know until today! They requested me to be their main wedding singer. Philip-kun's bride is really beautiful!"
"Yes she is, and I think her sister as the maid of honor is stunning, too."
Sister? Oh, I remember I heard Tomo mentioned 'Neechan' to her parents before.
We arrived at the reception venue. It's one of the most luxurious hotels in Japan that only the rich ones can afford to stay in. We saw many people outside waiting, most of them are reporters. The securities let us through upon showing our invitations. Then there's another door inside but this time, I hesitated to go further. I'm not mentally prepared yet to see her.
"Tomochin? Aren't you going in?"
"I think l'll just stay here for a while, I'll go inside later on." I answered.
"Are you sure you're alright?"
"Yes, don't worry about me. I'm really happy to see you both again, Yuko. Aachan."
"Then we're going ahead. We'll see you around, okay!" They went inside and left me.
I feel bad not talking to them properly today, maybe I'll just make it up to them the next time we meet again.
"That two girls who just entered, aren't they Japan's top celebrities? This wedding is really something!" I heard people chatting around as I sat on one of the empty tables.
Great, everything's making me feel that I'm the only one who doesn't belong here. I took a glass of wine from a waiter's tray that passed by and drank it upto the last drop.
"Dejavu? This scene is familiar, chiyuu.."
Chiyuu? That voice... I turned around.
"T-Tomo?!" She's here near me and she's not wearing a wedding dress. I only drank a glass, am I drunk already?
"So now you're also drinking on a wedding? And why is your reaction like you've seen a ghost?" She grinned.
"W-Why are you out here? Aren't you supposed to be with your husband?"
She laughed.
"Tomochin, baka! You know I can't marry anyone else! I'm already married, remember?"
She showed me her hand, she's still wearing the ring I gave her. My heart is pounding so hard like it came back to life! Is this a dream? If it is, please don't wake me up anymore.
"If you're not the one who got married today, then who's..."
"Come with me, chiyuu.. I'd like you to meet someone." She held my hand and lead me inside that door.
"Mao-neechan! This is Tomochin. I told you she's pretty!"
"Oh finally! Since I arrived, Tomo talks non-stop about you. I'm jealous you know, I feel like she didn't even miss me a bit." Tomo's sister teased.
"Hey, if I didn't miss you then why did I excitedly come all the way to you when you called over the phone. You don't know what moment you just interrupted and it's even before sunrise!"
"You only came because I said I'll be taking your place in this wedding today! You little..."
I giggled. These Kasai sisters... they're like kids fighting each other. I interrupted their little fight and introduced myself.
"Uhm.. I'm Itano Tomomi! I'm happy to meet you, Kasai..."
"Oh call me, oneechan! Now I have two Tomomi sisters!" She winked at me.
"Tomochin!" Philip-kun came joining his wife on her side.
"Omedetou, Philip-kun!" I greeted him.
"Ano... you two look a lovely couple!" I told them.
"You really think so? Thanks! Well, I never thought marrying someone will make me feel so much happier." He said as he took a quick glance on Kasai-oneechan. She then blushed like a teenager.
"You're lucky to have wonderful friends. They searched the globe just to look for me and bring me here." When Kasai-oneechan said 'my friends' she actually means...
"Tomochin!" Sae and Sayaka arrived together with Ryu and Akiko.
"We've been calling you like a hundred times today! It seems like you left your phone." Sae said as she saw me.
"Sorry, if we suddenly left you alone in the cafe..." Sayaka apologized.
"It's okay, it's clear to me now. Thank you for everything you've done for me." I hugged them both.
"We made it with the help of these two." Sayaka is talking about Ryu and Akiko.
"It's all their idea!" Ryu said. I noticed he's holding Akiko's hand. And her other hand holding the bride's bouquet. Looks like, there's another wedding coming soon. I thought.
"We know how much you love Tomo~mi, we all can taste your feelings with the cake you've made." Akiko said.
"That's right! Mom was really amazed to know that you've done that huge wedding cake all by yourself. Everyone here loves it too! By the way, our parents already know about the two of you."
I turned to face the direction where Tomo's parents are. They slightly bowed their heads and smiled when they saw me. Mrs. Kasai mouthed 'arigatou' from afar.
"So... aren't you going to explain why you secretly made a wedding cake
for me?" Tomo suddenly spoke in a little annoyed voice.
"Oh! We still needed to attend our other guests. Take care of my little sister, okay?" Kasai-oneechan excused themselves dragging off Philip-kun beside her.
"I'm still hungry! Are you guys still hungry, too?" Sae asked as she also dragged Sayaka, Akiko and Ryu to the buffet table.
I knew they all intended to leave us alone. Oh no.. the wedding cake... Is Tomo really mad about it?
We left the hotel and headed to the parking area where her car is. It's her old car, she's back being a rich girl so she doesn't need to sell it anymore. I break off the silence before we get in.
"A-About the wedding cake.. I'm sorry Tomo.. I just can't say no to your mother." There, I finally said it.
"It's not the point! Why does it taste so good? Isn't it supposed to be bitter? Knowing your girlfriend is going to get married with another person!" She pouted.
So, that's what her ranting is all about. She so cute!
"When I'm making that cake, I didn't think of myself. All I thought is about you. I cried most of those times, but whenever I remember the good things we share together, happiness totally replaced that sadness I felt. I poured all my love for you on it. The taste just naturally came out." I explained.
"Oh, Tomochin..." She held both my hands facing me.
"Promise me.. from now on, we'll be honest with each other, okay?"
"No lies.. No secrets anymore.. I promise." I sincerely answered.
Then that moment we kissed again.
"Amai..."
"What is it?" I asked.
"The alcohol on your lips.. it tastes sweet."
"But it's just the same wine you drank the first time I met you. Believe me, the sweetness is not coming from it." I said as we get inside her car.
"So driver-san? Where are we going now?"
"First of all, I'm not your driver. Second, I don't talk to drunk people." She grinned repeating my lines from that day we first met.
"Oh... So desu ne... Too bad I was already thinking of how about we continue on what we just finished last night..." I teased her in a very seductive voice.
"But since you..."
Tomo suddenly started her engine and drove, not letting me finish speaking.
"Ja! We'll go straight to your room then! Just make sure no drunk girl will forget everything after." She said smiling.
We'll be making more of our memories together and surely both of us will never forget. That sweet taste, I know it only comes out from a person's heart. And if you truly love someone, the sweetest taste comes naturally from within.

"Irrashaimase!" I welcomed the next customer in line.
My cafe suddenly became famous because of the wedding cake I made for Tomo. And since it was the wedding of the year, most of the people who attended were elite and top of the class. They all liked the cake and the news immediately reached the media. And now the long lines of my cafe's customers are never stopping.
The next customer went infront. She's a small lady and she's wearing sunglasses. She puts it down and gave me a huge smile. I immediately recognized her.
"Yuko! You came again! Let me guess, you're here for your favorite cake?"
"Yes, for take out please, Tomochin." She answered showing her cute dimples.
"Coming right up! You've been a frequent customer lately here, ne?" I said as I clicked her order.
"Since I've tasted that awesome wedding cake, I can't stop craving for more. I didn't know it was you who made that!"
"Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. Uhm, sorry if I'm not myself that day. Maybe you were thinking that I looked like a walking zombie or something."
"Daijoubu... but well... if you really insist to make it up, then... can you add a little slice of that strawberry shortcake?" She whispered shyly.
"But first, may I know to whom this is for?" I teased a bit.
"I wanted to share this with someone most dearest to me. You exactly know that I can't make a cake as delicious as this. Do you remember back in highschool? No matter how many times you tried to teach me, I still sucked in cooking!"
"Well maybe, cooking's just not your forte." I giggled. "But look at you now. Who would thought you'll become Oshima Yuko, Japan's top idol!"
"Thanks. You never changed, Tomochin. You're still that friend I knew back then."
"So... is that someone I know?"
She just smiled and nodded. I guess I already have a hint who that person is. And then I saw another customer entering the cafe.
"Ne, Yuko. If you have to excuse me, there's more customers I need to attend to. Tomo will give your cake shortly."
"Oh, sure sure. Thanks, Tomochin!" She answered as I left her with Tomo at the counter.
As for Tomo, she's back on her job as Kasai Co. Ltd. company director. But during her off hours, she works part time here in the cafe to help me. After her sister's wedding event, we decided to finally live together. So I moved to her apartment since it was way spacious than mine.
I went to approach the new customer.
"Irrasahimase! Okyaku-sama, is there anything I can do for you?" I greeted her.
"T-Tomochin??" It was also an old friend.
"Aachan! What a pleasant surprise!"
"E-Eh... You own this place?" She looked around.
I nodded.
"Wow. I didn't know a friend of mine owns this very famous cafe in Tokyo!" She sounded happy.
"Nahh... you're the one who's famous here... Maeda Atsuko, Best Actress."
"I knew it! You made that famous wedding cake, didn't you?"
"Yes, I did." I answered.
"That was the best cake I have ever tasted! And I remember Yuko can't even stopped eating those!" She laughed.
"Speaking of Yuko, do you know that she always buy cake here? She's actually there at the counter's area." I said.
"Really?" She then looked for Yuko at the counter. "Another coincidence for the three of us, ne? The last time we met was during the Kasai wedding. Which reminds me... that girl over there, she was also at the wedding right?"
"Yes. She's the sister of the bride, Kasai Tomomi. My partner."
"Your business partner is a Kasai?" She asked.
"Well.. that, too. But what I mean is... she's my girlfriend."
"Wow. Just wow. I'm totally happy for you, Tomochin!"
"Thank you... so... Aachan. What made you visit here?"
"I'm actually meeting someone in your cafe."
"Oh! Is it..."
"It's my new partner in my upcoming movie." She cuts me off.
So, it was someone else. Aachan also had a girlfriend back in highschool and I thought they were inseparable.
"Alright then. Please feel comfortable around here, okay?" I said as I let her go to her table.

The day finally ended and I'm so much exhausted. I sat on the sofa to rest.
"To-mo-chin~! Too many customers today, chiyuu.." Tomo sat next to me and hugged me.
"Otsukare... Thanks for your help, Tomo. I'm sorry if I let you do this. Sayaka and Sae is on summer vacation. I know you have work and..."
"Ssshh..." She kissed my forehead. "Let your friends enjoy themselves alone. You know that I loved helping you out here. And besides, Akiko can perfectly handle everything in the office."
"You know what? Eventhough today is a very tiring day, I felt happy because I was able to see my old friends again." I told her.
"They seem nice, chiyuu. I didn't know you have celebrity friends."
"Yuko and Aachan were just ordinary highschoolers back then. I'm happy that they finally reached their dreams." I answered.
"Ne, Tomochin... Why don't we spend summer vacation at the place where you grew up? I wanted to see your hometown."
"Eh? But what about the cafe?"
"You always work so hard, and that's one of those many things I love about you. But you should take a rest sometimes. The cafe won't leave, chiyuu." She said.
We decided to temporarily close the cafe and left Tokyo. We traveled to my hometown and headed to my Aunt's place where I grew up.
"Auntie! Tadaima!" I hugged her.
"Okaerinasai, Tomochin! I'm glad you visit, my dear." She gladly welcomed me.
"Oh, I missed this place. Auntie this is Kasai Tomomi... my girlfriend." I introduced her.
"I'm glad to meet you, Ma'am." Tomo bowed with respect.
"What a lovely lady! Glad to finally meet you, too. Come inside, I prepared some snacks for the two of you."
"Tomo, this is Auntie's restaurant where I work part time during highschool. Auntie taught me a lot of cooking stuff here." I told Tomo.
"Tomochin, dear. I heard your cafe is now very famous in Tokyo. I am so proud of you. You finally reached your dreams of having your own restaurant." Auntie said.
"Thank you, Auntie. I reached my dreams with the help of my friends, my partner, and ofcourse because of you, Auntie.. I learned from the best!"
"Oh, my sweet Tomochin. You never changed. Your success is also because of your talent and hardwork." She said sincerely.
After we had our food, we went to Auntie's house to rest. She already had my old room cleaned up for us to stay in. Tomo saw some old photo album inside the room and opened it.
"Kawaii~ Tomochin! You look so cute wearing a maid cafe costume!" She said as she saw my old highschool photos.
"Hey, stop it. That's embarassing!"
"Sugoi~ So you're really friends with Oshima Yuko and Maeda Atsuko!"
She flipped another page and saw Shotaro and me together. I noticed her facial expression changes a little.
"Ne, Tomochin?"
"Hmm?"
"Can you tour me to your school?"

The next day we went to my Alma Mater. My school is not that far. It's just a walking distance from Auntie's restaurant.
"This is where I attended highschool." I said as we reached the school's front gate.
"Let's go inside, chiyuu!"
"What?! But it's closed!!!" I resisted.
"Boo~ It's not like we're going to steal
or something. Come on, Tomochin!" She ran inside.
"Tomo, wait up!!!"
We sneaked inside and walked around. Most of the rooms were locked. But when we reached the Cooking Club's room, we noticed that it's open.
"How nostalgic... this was my club room..." Old memories suddenly flowed inside my mind as I enter the room.
"I bet your highschool life was fun." Tomo spoke as she looked around.
"Yes, it was. I had great friends like Yuko, Aachan, Philip and..."
"And Shotaro..." She continued.
"Hey... what's with that kind of face, Tomo? You're the one who insisted to go here in the first place..."
"Yeah, I really wanted to go here because I wanted to get to know more about you... your past and everything else... but..."
She paused and sat on one vacant table looking away from me.
"It feels a little sad on my part somehow. Shotaro was lucky, he got to spend those times with you. How I'd wished that I already met you those days."
"Tomo..."
"You know that I don't have much friends since I spent my childhood alone. Mao-neechan was my only friend. If only I can turn back time, maybe I'd choose to live here and be friends with you. We'd be able to spend everyday together. We'll go to school together, eat together, study together, go home together, and do lots of other things together."
"But we're together now, aren't we? Tomo, look... past is not that important to me anymore. What's important to me is you. You're my present... and hopefully would be my future, too."
I reached out for her and wrapped my arms around her.
"We may not have met before, but still God gave us the chance to cross each other's path. And now nothing else matters to me but you. So stop worrying about other things, okay?" I patted her head.
Tomo hugged me back tightly and planted a kiss on my temple. "I love you, Tomochin... Thank you."
"I know and I love you, too." I responded. "Speaking of the past, I'm just wondering... If we happened to meet during highschool.. do you think you'd still fall in love with me?" I asked out of curiousity.
"Ofcourse, I would! And I'd make sure that I'd be keeping you away from Shotaro! I'd definitely make you fall head over heels for me!"
"Too much confidence, huh?" I giggled.
"And also maybe... we'll do some naughty things in this room during breaks or after classes when no one's around... then our bodies would feel more excited thinking that the teachers might find out and..."
"Stop there! Tomo, you pervert!!!" I felt blood rushed to my face. She never fail to turn me on whenever she wants to.
"E-Eh~ But I really think that would be really exciting though, chiyuu..." She cutely pouted. "Hey, Tomochin... No one's here right now... do you want to... hmm..."
"KASAI TOMOMI!!! I'm warning you!!!"
"Haha! I got you there! Hooow cuuute~ Tomochin's face is soooo red~" She's teasing me again!
"Actually, Tomo. I guess it was still a relief that we didn't meet that early."
"Why is that so?" She asked confused.
"Maybe God already saw what's coming and said that it's better for us not to... or else I won't possibly able to resist such a young sexy girlfriend..." I smiled at her.
"Oh, looks who's blushing now..." It's my turn to tease her a little.
"Tomochin, baka..." She said in a low voice.
"So, let's go home?" I asked and offered my hand.
"Un!" She nodded.
She grabbed my hand and I lead her the way out. We left the school and walked back to my Auntie's house holding each other's hands like a highschool couple in love. And it felt so great to be with her like this.
"Tomochin, let's get married." She blurted out as we continue to walk down the road.
"E-Eh? How many times have I heard that from you already?"
"But I won't stop asking you until you say yes, chiyuu..."
"I knew we'd get there someday, Tomo."
"Fine... so how about we do lots of honeymoons first?" She teasingly suggested.
"Sounds perfect." I answered her.
