Don't know about anyone else, but I've been liking the fact that they're trying out the "Ref Cam" during this tournament. Only bummer about it (if anything) is that for us watching on TV, so far we're only getting clips here and there. It'd be hella cool if they could get a constant broadcast of it throughout the game, like a "picture in picutre" type of thing.

This happened a few days ago, but it is, up to this point, probably the sickest goal we've seen in this tournament.

Watch/Hear the commentary made by ESPN's Spanish announce team:

TheScore.com - ESPN Desportes' call of MacKinnon's OT winner is fantastic

Wait, they had a Spanish announce team...for hockey? Cool.   :thumbup

And reactions like this one from Morgan Rielly are why Team North America have rightfully been given nicknames like "Young Guns" and "The Kids".

That's just pure, youthful, unadulterated enjoyment of the game. :yep:

Could be interesting to see how this kid develops. :yep:

11-year-old Japanese boy could be next hockey prodigy

The next great hockey talent could very well come from Japan. Not the most traditional location, but a highlight reel showcasing 11-year-old Aito Iguchi that's circulating on the internet looks pretty convincing.

The native of Saitama has moves that suggest he could have a future in NHL, or at the very least rival the young talent in North America.

After seeing this new video, yeah...this kid is showing major potential. :yep:

11-year-old hockey sensation continues to amaze

Remember the 11-year-old hockey prodigy Aito Iguchi? It's hard to forget the young player's unbelievable stick-handling skill.

In case you weren't already convinced, the potential future hockey star has a part two to his wildly popular highlight reel.

The kid has undeniable talent, but take another look and decide for yourself.

It's been a couple of years, but yeah, he's still around, and still showing some slick skills. :yep:

Should've figured that Teemu wouldn't be the only Selanne we'd see playing hockey. His son Eetu recently commited to play for a Division 1 College.

And of course, proud papa is proud.

A trailblazer for Women's Hockey. A 5-time Olympic medalist (4 gold, 1 silver). First female position player (i.e. not a goalie) on a men's professional hockey team. And now, aspiring medical doctor and mother. Hayley Wickenheiser is retiring after a 23-year competitive hockey career with the Candaian National Women's team.

Thanks for all you've done Wick, not just for Women's Hockey, but for hockey in general. Enjoy your rest, you've definitely earned it.  :thumbup
