How do you figure out who you're going to vote for? For me, I just read between the lines. Maybe I'm too cynical but I don't believe that politics, i.e. democrat/republican, and what candidates say they'll do actually account for anything. I figure the political landscape is merely a game and they're just trying to play it or pander to the lowest common denominator or whatever. What I mean by read between the lines is I just observe how they act and try to read body language. Seeing as body language is hard to self-manipulate and that it is still believed to account for the majority of communication I just go by that. I liked Bill Clinton because he gave off that "bro" vibe. He was cool as the other side of the pillow on the campaign trail and he was musically inclined. I didn't know what he stood for at all and I still don't. I sure as hell didn't care that he copped some head in the oval office. I voted for Obama because he was slick, he smoked menthol, and he could ball. Yup. Depending on who owns the Senate, Congress and/or the House of Reps it doesn't really matter what the president wants to accomplish if the other implementations of checks and balances cock blocks him/her the whole term. So yea, I just pick the guy I feel most comfortable with. It's not like I don't have anything to lose either. I'm a tax paying citizen with a job and bills to pay(like most of you I'm sure) and all that so it SHOULD matter to me but it doesn't lol. Anyone feel the same way?

tl;dr version - representative republics make me feel apathetic.

Sadly. It's the lesser of two evil choices. So I would vote for Obama. Even though Romney did govern in Massachusetts for a while. Feels like he did absolutely nothing during his term. :S

Romney finally has a running mate; Paul Ryan

I know the democrats have already hit him for his budget plan. It's gonna be interesting to see where this race goes now.

Anyone else see Clint Eastwood's bizarre speech at a Republican convention?

This has to be a parody video right? Right?

My only comfort out of this video is that it looks like the husband is only agreeing with the wife because he's afraid she'll get mad. "That's...not the change I voted for either..."

This whole gay marriage thing. I mean why can't people opposed to it just be honest? They've no issue with gay marriage specifically. They clearly have an issue with gay people. Seeing them trip over themselves trying to explain the way in which a gay couple's marriage would somehow effect their's is just always awkward and embarrasing. At least if they just came out and said "fuck it we don't like gays alright?", at least then the dialogue could begin in trying to educate. I can't think of anything that would affect me less than two people of the same sex being married. And there will come a time, years from now when we'll look back and we'll all be embarrased that there were was a time when gay marriage wasn't allowed.

Leaked Fundraiser Video Shows Romney Saying 47% Of Americans Are “Dependent”

Oh dear...Has there ever been a politician more out of touch with normal people? I know we say that about most politicians, but this is ridiculous. With the amount of bullshit Romney has been saying lately, I'm starting to think he doesn't want to be President anymore.

^ I'm reminded of the one time Romney asked if Obama was the one out of touch. The irony.

My favorite part about the video has nothing to do with what was said, but rather who helped leak it; Jimmy Carter's grandson. Talk about karma.
