Thanks, daigong. I think the one I watched was an edired version or something.

If I was in the committee, I'd probably be like, "OMG! Jeremy Irons!! Okay, London wins!"

Whoa, whatta stunner!! and it was 54-50 in votes...all politics man, Madrid was out and helped the Brits no doubt.

indeed! Blair is the master of the RETCHID POLITIK!!!

I don't think Madrid helped london too much. moscow would help madrid.
It was new york city supporters that really loaded votes into london's camp.
if it had been Madrid VS london in the final... thinks might have turned out differently. Paris were the masters of the ABSOLUTE NOT RETCHID POLITIKK!!!

Peeaaaccchhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The French would do much better in politics if it weren't for the fact that everyone dislikes them.

After these terror attacks in London this morning, I think it's obvious that there should be thoughts of possible linkages to the announcement.  If the chosen had been France, I wonder if this tragedy could have been avoided all together.

I doubt it. If they are linked then logically Paris would have gotten hit instead. I think it has more to do with the G8 meeting honestly.

Like I said in "London terror" thread. I'm sure there's no connection between bombing and olympic games. This kind of act needs planning and preparations... and it takes more than a day.

Heh that's true...maybe not really linked with the olympics.
How about the whole Iraq situation?  I mean, it was no secret that France wanted no part in going into combat with the U.S. (which might have lowered the chances of France being hit in anyway)
Could that be a bit of motivation behind the attacks in London?  And yeah, G8 summit seems to be the most likely reason.

Absolutely. The Madrid bombings are a good example. They were well timed and achieved a direct political purpose (basically knocking Spain out as a US ally in the war on terror). Ditto here.

From what we've seen, part of the plan is to divide the opposition by only attacking countries that actively oppose them (at least for now).

Fucked up doesn't mean inefficient.

Fortunately the British people and law enforcement have been through this before and know how to handle it. They stood up to the IRA planting bombs around London for 20+ years after all...

And yes Junkie LONDON ROCKS! I've only been there for a couple short visits, but it's unquestionably one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and the people in London (especially at Heathrow) and the most helpful and friendliest you'll find anywhere. I should start sharing some 'Nice Londoner' stories. :)

Alright gentlemen the games have begun, and pretty soon there will be a LOT of asses hanging out of leotards. :shakeit: I am endeavoring to collect as many pictures of Olympian ass, nipple prints, and fat camel toes as possible. Why, cause it gets a rise out of me. I think that athletes are overlooked as sexy women / fap material... Lets see if anyone else wishes to share pics they find of awesome shit.

Here are some images to start shit off, not all pertains to the 2012 Olympics, just it gets some images in this thread. :cow:

2012 athletes

random Olympians

So far the opening was okay, but unfortunately the chinese set the bar kinda high... which I don't feel london reached. But it was still cool, and mr.bean was priceless. So I hope to come back and share more pics from swimming diving, rowing, volleyball, gymnastics, and track. Talk about  :hipheart: ass effect

^ On that note

Gotta say, I was a skeptic, but the opening ceremony last night was fantastic. You just can't follow Beijing's but they didn't disappoint.
