Kasumi Yamaya 山谷花純 will turn 15 later this month. So for now she is playing "little sister" roles such as her role as Natsu Hoshino, younger sister to the main character in IS, Haru Hoshino, as played by Saki Fukuda. She is being given experience now, and we might see her next as "High School Student" "College Student" "Young Working Woman", "Young Mother" .......well you get the picture.

Kasumi has a part in the Horror Trilogy リアル鬼ごっこ3,4,5 / Riaru Onigokko 3,4,5 (Real Tag- 3,45) And this trilogy is the third in a series of this film- dayum, they make a lot of horror movies in 日本!!!

Kasumi was in a film 『大人になった夏』 / Otona ni Natta Natsu (Became Adult That Summer)- which was in a group of films that AVEX put together to promotoe new young stars...... The other films were horror film Kuronezumi (Black Rat), Ramune (Lemondade) a film about young love, and カスタードプリン　(Custard Pudding) - not sure of plot but something which entailed cramming a lot of actors, music, and hijinks in a film.　

　Otona ni Natta Natsu was about three middle school friends spending summer vacation together and learning about life, and there is a lively song by Jurian Beat Crisis (check out her thread in Japanese Music)

Kasumi will be appearing　in a TBS drama entitled: 「リセット～本当のしあわせの見つけ方～」 / 「Risetto~Hontou no Shiawase no Mitsukekata」 {Reset- How to Find True Happiness}

Looks like Kasumi, along with Mirai Shidai and Nanami Sakuraba, will play the younger versions of three school mates in their
40's .............and somehow there is a "time slip" involved............

The three in their 40's are played by actresses Honami Suzuki, Reiko Takashima, and Maki Sakai.

Kasumi is currently a freshmen in high school in Miyagi Prefecture, but she commutes to Tokyo when she has a role. She says she is enjoying school life, but loves to work as well. Gambatte, Kasumi chan!

Kasumi mentioned on the her blog on the day of her birthday (December 26)...

" I have become 16 years old.

Old enough to marry (lol)

I have become the same age as the hero
of the manga I read as a child."
She then goes on to thank her mother and father, and she
mentions that she wants to cherish the time remaining where they will
be living together in the same house.

And she finishes off by joking how she expects to hear a lot
of comments from her fans.

Then the next day, she thanked everyone who
sent her congratulation messages on her birthday.
She expressed how greatful she was, and how happy
this had made her.

She seems to be a very lovely and thoughtful lass!

No, Kasumi is not preparing for a lunar landing.......

She wrote in her blog that she is starting off the year with a new job, so she must travel to Tokyo.

The part requires that she colors her hair, so off to her favorite salon, and then to work!

Kasumi is excited about being in the cast of
イタズラなKiss ~ Love in TOKYO / Itazurana Kiss ~ Love in TOKYO (Mischievous Kiss - Love in Tokyo).

It is a well know story, manga, anime, & past film versions, from three countries:
Japan (1996 'Itazura na Kiss', with Aiko Sato & Takashi Kashiwabara)
Taiwan (2005-2006 'It Started With a Kiss' with Ariel Lin & Joe Cheng)
Korea ( 2010 장난스런 키스 / 'Jangnanseureon Kiss' {also known as Naughty Kiss or Playful Kiss} with Jung So Min and Kim Hyun Joong)

The current series, on TBS, stars Honoka Miki as an 'average' girl, who has a crush on a super ikemen, played by Yuki Furukawa.

Kasumi and actress Nanami Fujimoto play the friends of Honoka's character.

Kasumi chan was very happy with her role in the
the new mobile phone drama "Yubikoi Kimi ni Okuru Message"
which stars Miori Takimoto, Seunghyun Lee ( a.k.a. 'Seungri' or 'V.I.' of the band 'Big Bang'),
and actor Kanata Hongo.

In the photo Kasumi chan and Miori san act as personal bodyguards for Seungri.

As mentioned earlier Kasumi chan got one of her
first big breaks playing the younger sister
of Saki Fukuda in the television Drama "IS"

You wonder, what kind of impression was made?

Well recently this Summer, the two caught up again
when Kasumi attended the "Peter Pan" stage play,
which had Saki as Wendy:

The beaming smiles probably tell the story well enough,
But Kasumi was full of praise for Saki in her ameba blog-
Saying that when the lights went down, she was whisked away
by Fairy dust into a magical world. She went on to praise
Saki's acting skills, saying how inspired she was
to work harder on her own acting. She mentioned how
Saki has always looked after her during the filming of IS,
truly like a big brother (you need to watch IS)

It was really great reading what a fine influence
Saki was on young Kasumi!

Kasumi chan is promoting the soon to be released 'Shiro Majo Gakuen Owari to Hajimari",
which is the follow up of the 2013 film
