d-link dir-655
and it's about time I upgraded from my old one, which was a d-link di-524. that thing would drop connections every 10 minutes or so and when intense torrenting, would reboot probably from overheating (which is partly my fault cause of all the dust that collected around it >_> ). Online gaming was so bad as I'd disconnect so much. Haven't tested gaming yet but everything seems good.
Plus I could finally take advantage of the wireless n on the macbook. I get full signal in the farthest darkest corners of the house! And now I can stream vids from my pc with few hiccups. And can also take advantage of the gigabit ethernet from my pc and macbook, which I use to transfer files. Still need to do some other tests though.
Setup was fairly easy with a few un-plugging and plugging in of stuff. Took me a while to set up an ancient computer we still use to work with it, but I can't blame the router on that as I got it working by putting it back in default settings
.
It's an awesome home router and for less than $100.
