The newbies went onboard the Morning Musume for the 1st time for Fleet immersion, and Ichika in particular felt lucky to have the friendly 1st Lieutenant Nonaka Miki show them around before they fly off to train for their maritime air combat insertion from a jet aircraft:

Corporal Irie took it upon herself to be the 6ki's camerawoman when they are training in J=J's physically-demanding Hell Week phase. Even though their muscles are still healing, they managed to keep their spirits in high tension. Hang in there, never give up! As your seniors of current and previous generations have done, "NEVER NEVER SURRENDER!"

"When I was stretching before the performance, Ichika-chan and Kisaki-chan were so interesting that I just took a picture . And I got permission from them properly! And Ichika blogged about her Sports Day at school 2 years ago. She said that she was not athletic person at all, except for dodgeball where she excels at evading the ball much like she would excel in dodging enemy bullets during combat.

Yesterday, it was too hot.

I thought I would get heatstroke. Immediately, I drank a sports drink.

With just a sip of it, I re-energized!

In case you have a moment like, "Shoot, something wrong with my body." (because of heat) Please, drink water right away.

Speaking of a hot day,

I want to share a story about my school sports day held two years ago.

To be honest, I am NOT athletic.

Especially ball games...


In a volleyball game, the ball I hit returns directly to my face.

I am always dribbling out of the court before I even attempt to shoot in a basketball game. Oh, I can swim...if allowed to use a kickboard. lol


Although I am not good at sports,

At one of the sports day events, the dodgeball game, I had become the last infield player of my team on the court.


Getting behind the throwers on my team, I kept running around in circles during the game.


and in the end, I  was left all alone

Oh, gosh...I'm scared.

Three infield players, fairly athletic type, on the opposing team VS Miss Clumsy.

My strategy:

An extreme defense is the best defense.

I counted on my outfield players on offense.

Believe it or not,

I kept squirming away from the fastballs.

AND I MADE IT!!!!

We wooooon!!

That was the first time I achieved something in sports. hehe
All the teammates praised me.
I felt at the top of the world.😂

Moreover, our team became the overall champion for the sports day.
I was thrilled!

In other veteran OG news, Karin somehow "offended" Vice-Admiral Michishige Sayumi when Sayumi said that they (her, Karin and Airi Suzuki) will not be performing any J=J songs during their M-Line performance. Karin responded by saying "That's right. If you don't sing well, you can't become Juice = Juice". That somehow triggered the former Hello Pro Fleet Commander:

During the latest Hello Station Fleet News, we get to know from Lieutenant Inoue that Riai has taken her role of instructor/senior and mentor to the 6th Gen very seriously...to the point that Rei calls her a "proper senpai" and the senior officers were all proud of her. Tsubaki's Captain Yamagishi is eager to see Riai in action as a senior since she always had the image of the younger being the babied spoiled brat. I guess that explains a lot why Riai has been texting and messaging her skipper quite regularly lately (source: Pocket Morning)..she wants to get advise on how to properly lead and mentor her juniors. When the baton is eventually passed to her generation (with Yume) for leadership and command, I have no doubts that Juice will be in good hands!

The newbies will undergo further advanced training with their instructors according to the senior's specialty:

Combat Strategies/Unit Operations: CAPT Kanazawa (also Marksmanship due to her Archery accomplishments)

Unarmed/Close Quarters Combat: CMDR Uemura (certified Judo black belt and strong arms, also instructs PT)

Sniper Marksmanship: LT Danbara, unit's sharpshooter and all-rounded sniper and badass (with CAPT Kanazawa)

Land Warfare, Navigation, Scouting, Recon & Stealth Ops: LT Inoue (due to her extensive experience as Kobushi's scout, plus her excellent drawing skills is an asset when teaching them how to draw maps and land terrain features)

Diving, Sea & Underwater Combat: SSG Kudo (no-brainer, because she can breathe underwater for hours, thanks to her half-octopus, half-human DNA)

Air Paratrooping/Air Combat HALO Jumping: SSG Matsunaga (she's an adrenaline junkie who enjoys being "high", also an extreme sports enthusiast) (also co-instructs Physical Training with CMDR Uemura)

Infiltration & Espionage Operations: LCDR Inaba (a chameleon; due to her cunning azatoi nature, she can infiltrate enemy lines by posing as a damsel in distress, then sabotages enemy operations from within)

After completing her underwater combat training from attack sub Chica#Tetsu under Yume's supervision, Kisaki manages to catch up with her buddy and good friend, Runo aboard the Tsubaki Factory.

Though serving in different units and warfare communities, these 2 will still be good friends no matter what:

After the training session, Staff Sergeant Matsunaga dismissed her kouhais but asked Corporal Ebata to stay behind.

Taking our her phone and showing it to the younger, Riai proceeds to interrogate her kouhai

Riai: "Kisaki-chan, what are you doing in this 2-shot with this low-life, ungrateful, thuggish individual? Please tell me she's not trying to recruit you into her Hashisako Army"



Kisaki: "Sorry, Senpai...I didn't know it was bothering you so much. It's just a 2-shot and she said she wouldn't get to see me in a while next few months..you don't need to worry about it"

Riai: "Hmmhh...just a 2 shot eh? Be careful, Kisaki-chan, this individual (Riai won't even mention Rin's name) have already recruited several new kouhais from the other units and ships. She is one scheming person. And, NOBODY messes with my Juice=Juice kouhais...NOT ON MY WATCH!!"

Kisaki: "Kudo-Senpai, why does Matsunaga-senpai hates Hashisako-san so much?"

Yume: "You mean you don't know?! These two have been at a Cold War with each other ever since Rin-chan left the base for home without waiting for Riai. It's been 2 years since the last spoke to each other"

Deep within enemy lines, Special forces unit JUICE was making a run towards the beach, facing heavy resistance from their pursuers.

Akari: Strike-1, this is Juice-2. We've got the package secured. Angerme's Lieutenant Kasahara and Sergeant Hashisako is with us. What's your ETA on Air Support, over.

Sakura: Juice-2, this is Strike Leader. We'll be there in 8 minutes.

Akari: Oda-chan, we don't have 8 minutes. They are cutting out our access route to the beach, over.

Sakura: Hang on tight, Commander. Our Pave Spike missiles will be within range in 1 minute. Will be danger close to your location, over.

Today, we had
Juice = Juice FC Event 2021 ~ Miracle × Juice × Box × Enjoy Summer at Zepp Yokohama.

It was my very first solo group event. 💖
Thanks to the Senpais' support, I could just follow their lead. I was very nervous and sweaty, but all the muscle tension and excitement I had had eventually put me in a state of euphoria. I felt empowered by these indescribable strange feelings.

Time flew really fast when I was having fun. I already started missing the wonderful time spent with Juice = Juice members and you guys at the end 🥺

I'll keep practicing hard to be able to show you my performances as a member of Juice = Juice.

Kisaki: Ma'am, I saw something on my night vision goggles. Its heading towards us from that direction.

[At this point, Uemura Akari, their team's XO, came over]
Akari: Ebata, what is it? Who did you see? Is it the enemy?

Kisaki [shivering]: It's a ghoul, Commander. I saw it. its glaring at me with his teeth out

[Akari, as the field commander for this mission, gestured for Riai and Ruru to head north to check out. A moment later, they returned both shaking their heads to affirm the negative. Both Manaka and Akari sighed]

Manaka: Mou, Kisaki-chan! You should'nt have listened to Marin's horror stories before we departed The Tsubaki for this mission. You're bound to start imagining things out here if you do that.

Midshipman Matsunaga, currently an officer-in-training, penned an emotional blog post reflecting on how much she truly loves her unit and pledged to carry on her senior officers' and illustrious predecessors' legacy. Riai mentioned that the love and support (and being spoiled) she received from her senpais as a new member she will pay it forward to the current shin members as a new senpai herself:

Today we had a lesson with Juice = Juice.

I have to take good care of it because I haven't had many opportunities to train with Juice = Juice these days. I feel that my feelings have become stronger.

I think that the form of "cherish" is different for each member, but when I wondered what it was, it is the importance for me to protect the roots of Juice = Juice made by my seniors so that they will not die. I thought that making various changes within me is inherent in evolution, but I want to cherish only the roots of this group.

My root image is about performance awareness and level 💡 and inheriting the consciousness and level of successive Juice = Juice seniors

My consciousness and level are too low.

Commander Uemura mistakenly bought an extra long skirt of similar design while shopping. Not knowing what to do with it, the J=J's XO decided to gift it to fellow Osakan, Riai:




During the last mission, Riai could tell Yume was a little apprehensive about this particular HALO parachute jump out of a C130 plane. So she decided to assure her partner saying "Are you ok? Let's do our best", and then giving her buddy a warm fist-bump
