It's funny; Chiichan's thread isn't exactly popular, Chiichan hardly appears on any of the show, nor does she get any good positions during concerts/units... but most of the reactions I've seen on the various boards are super positive! This means Chiichan does have the potential to become more popular. If this PB is any good it could really help her career.

I'm pretty sure photobooks are pushed by their agency and girls don't get them based on popularity.  How ever it's done, I'm really happy to see she is getting a real photobook. I wonder if it has anything to do with me sending Mousa the unofficial photobook I made of her verbatim pictures. That'd be really awesome.

Her Photobook is going to be 80 pages A4 sized of Chiichan wearing 20 different costumes, one costume for each of her 20 years. A DVD is also going to be included with the photobook!

At first, Itano Tomomi (Tomochin) was my favorite member. Just based on looks alone, but then I started to watch AKB shows and stages and she just lost my attention for some reason. I will admit that Chiichan (or, Chisato, I should call her now  doesen't stand out among most other AKB48 members. But her dancing, her voice, her charisma is all appealing to me. I love it.

I think it's going to be a gravure DVD too with her and Hamada Shoko    She mentioned in one blog entry a while back she was making a DVD and was working with her.


Personally I want to see more OL Chiichan and I think gothic lolita fashion or French Maid Chiichan would just be amazing

Well, she is Mousa's ace after all  .
They also could've gone the Ucchi way, which they could've released around the date of the 19th single.
Chiichan getting a PB also opens doors to a potential Nakayan PB!

DVD with Hamada Shoko?! Do want! They actually sorta look a like in some shots, which makes it even hotter

I think Nakayan is Mousa's voice talent while Chiichan is their visual talent. 
I have no idea what they're plans are for Mayuchi, I thought they'd make better use of her center position but it's probably hard for any of the undergirls to break that front girl barrier.

Back to Chiichan,
I don't think it's all that unexpected for her to get a PB now that she has a agency that seems to want to push them a bit. Chiichan has said a couple of times that she wants to be a gravure idol. There's a couple of amatureish pictures of her modeling so I think she tried doing it on her own before she got into AKB. Getting a solo photobook would be a really good first step. More exposure is always nice

I did see her amateur gravure modeling on Stage48.
I still don't know why that was qualified as gravure, to me it's just a beautiful model posing in different outfits.

I'm all for Chiichan doing Narita Risa type stuff though
