I didn’t want to post this just yet, because i’m not exactly done with it, and it turned out longer than expected ._.

But with majisuka3 airing soon, it can’t be helped. there’s quite a number of half-written fics that needs to be finished ;_;

Here’s chapter 1. Really short though. ;_;

[1] TWO ROSE - W Matsui ---

If only you were just a rose.

---

"I'm here to kill you."

"Go ahead."

"Why."
"Why."
"Why!!!!"

---

In a small town, a girl pulls her hood down, her light brown cloak fluttering along with the wind.

"It's here."

Instinctively, her hands moves down to her waist and she strokes her scabbard lightly.

She follows the deserted road and makes her way to town.

The inn, as expected, was nearly empty, save for the occasional drinking villager or two.
Few words were exchanged as she booked a room, left her belongings and quickly went back down.

The sun was setting.

As she reached for the door, even without her acute senses, she could feel stares on her back.

And then someone finally spoke.

"You're heading out?"

She nodded.

"Young lady, if you do not mind me interfering, it's not the wisest move to go out now. We don't get many visitors around here. It would be nice if you could last a little longer."

"There's something I need to do."

"Couldn't it wait til morning?"

"Does this have to do with the monster?"

"So you've heard of it as well."

"Rumours. Only bits and pieces of it."

"Then it would do you very well to stay."

"If you could tell me more, perhaps I would be more frightened and less stubborn."

"I'm afraid I do not know more than you do."

"Then I must leave now."

"Be careful."

"I'll try to find out more!"

She heads to the bookstore as instructed beforehand.

The bookstore, although small, had a decent selection of books. Books that she never heard of.

Trying seem as if she was glancing around casually, she grabs a book, one that she's read many times before, 車輪の下(Underneath the wheel) and the one she was instructed to find.

She would have chosen to linger around a little longer if not for the shopkeeper looking as if he was in a hurry to chase her out to close the store.

She thanks him as he passes her the change while he thanked her, deep from his heart.

As she stepped out, the shutters were closed and the door locked at once.

Down the street she was at, there was not a single soul. Even the crows were not around.

She makes her way back calmly at her usual pace.

---
Lunatic, or better referred to as a monster was not from these parts. She appeared one day and roams the streets at night laughing, and killing as she liked, but was never caught. Each time, the deceased died in a different manner, sometimes from a punctured lung, sometimes from a cracked skull, but each time, there was bound to be bloodshed.

There was also another little-known fact, that she was actually from another country,  sent to a mental institute in this country, but then escaped and came to this town. Or so it was said.

That, was what Matsui Jurina gathered from the people in the inn that night. Or rather, they did their best to cough this out to prevent her from leaving the house after dusk next time.

She thanks them politely and heads back into her room, promising that she would listen to them during her short stay here.

The pieces of information was nothing new to her. She just wanted to quickly get back to her room to read her fourth copy of Beneath the Wheel. Each time she travelled to a place that had it in a different language, she would buy one and read it. An odd hobby she picked up.

She sits on her bed and reads the first chapter of the book slowly, as if there was a need to absorb every single word. Satisfied, she finally takes the other book out and slashes it with a knife to reveal a slip of paper and a key.

This was not a measure used often. Her previous jobs tended to be more technologically advanced. The target was usually pin-pointed and she just had to wait around before she making her move. Although a little unsettled, she slept as usual that night.

She trusted Nezumi after all.

TWO ROSE will be continued on another thread.
---

This was a birthday fic for a friend.
it's nothing depressing, but the writing became a little uh weird.

#32 もんじゃ焼き - monjyayaki - manachuri

 ---

Manatsu!"

"Manatsu!"

"nnnmanatsuuu"

No response.

Mukaida Manatsu continues to walk ahead as if she heard nothing.

I ran up and grabbed her pair of hands that were larger than mine.

She quickly broke free from them and looked at me expressionlessly.

"Takayanagi-san, what do you want?"

Not again.

She's being cold to me again.
Forbidding me to touch her.
And ignoring my mails.

"I-I..."

I, who seem to become like a real bird(a parrot in this case) in front of this sort of Manatsu.

"If it's nothing important then I'll be going now. I don't wish to waste any of Takayanagi-san's precious time when she could going out with others."

Ah.
So that's it.

That's the reason why she's been ignoring me.

"That's not true! Spending time together with Manatsu is more important than the others!"

"Really"

"July! After July I'll definately eat monjyayaki together with Manatsu!"

Perhaps it was because I got agitated, I accidentally shouted that out.

"You actually remembered."
Her voice became softer when she said this.

"Yup. Akane wouldn't forget her promise with Manatsu"

"But why July?"

"Because that's when the summer holidays begin~"

I randomly gave an excuse.

I want to eat with you soon too, but it's not possible until I achieve it.

---

「Manatsu!」

I received this sort of mail when I reached home after school.

Sender: Takayanagi Akane

I know my name is Manatsu.
Since you mailed me, you definately have something to say to me, there is no need to remind me what I'm called.

Ignore.

Another mail came 3 minutes later.

「I'm sorry! I was too excited earlier on so I send it out before I finished typing. Churi has learnt how to cook monjyayaki! Look! I'm great aren't I! Manatsu let's quickly eat together soon! So please pretend I didn't make that silly mistake earlier on~ heehee」

There was a photo attached to the mail.

So it's already July.

「Let's go when Churi is free. But Churi better take responsibility if I cannot perform the stages because I don't feel well after eating.」

「I will I will! Let's eat together next week!」

---

I was more nervous than usual today.

Walking to and fro at the store we agreed beforehand.

So much that I didn't even realise Manatsu's arrival.

"What is Churi doing?"

"Eh! Manatsu you've arrived?"

"I've been standing here for 5minutes. What is Churi doing?"

"Let's go in!"

I avoided the question by changing the topic.

We were probably the only ones dumb enough to enter a shop full of steam and heat with the oil splattering away on a scorching hot summer day

The store attendants who were originally idling around immediately jumped at the opportunity to do something and welcomed us warmly.

"What flavour does Manatsu want to eat?"

"I don't know."

"If you can't decide shall we eat the ones we ate the other time?"

"That's fine"

Just like what happened last year.

We poured the ingredients onto the metal plate.

And then clumsily tried to cook.

"Would you two like our assistance?

But this time

"Thank you, but there's no need. We'll do it ourselves"

Recalling the weird feeling I felt previously when I saw Manatsu saying how great the store attendants were when they cooked and eating monjyayaki that was cooked by others happily.

And how I suddenly decided to secretly learn how to cook monjyayaki and then practiced cooking on the rare off days I had.

Because I'm not astute enough I ended up dragging it til today.
And led you to misunderstand that I forgot our promise.

"Is is delicious?"

"It's delicious"

I gathered up my courage and asked.

"Is it tastier than the one we had last year?"

"It's probably because Akane added an extra ingredient secretly when I wasn't looking"

"I didn't! Does that mean it tastes better?"

"It's because I've not eaten it in a while that's why it's better."

"Then Manatsu should eat more ~"

"Does Akane think that it's delicious?"

Comparing the monjyayaki last year which was originally supposed to be salty but tasted sour and the monjyayaki that somehow tasted sweet today

"Delicious"

Tsun tsun Manatsu is also one of the most adorable things on earth.

I like writing manachuri based on their real life interactions.

Really belated fic for Rena's birthday again this year. >_>
The setting is after Magical Radio.

#33 Happy - W Matsui

---

"Good work everyone. Take a five minute break."

"Jurina, don't forget that you have to meet the director for dinner tomorrow to discuss the new movie."

"I will."

Matsui Jurina grabbed a bottle of tea, sat on the nearby stool and checked her phone, not wanting to waste any second of her precious break.

1 new mail. Matsui Rena.
「Jurina, are you free tomorrow night for dinner?」

She types her reply almost immediately.

「I am」

Exactly 4 minutes and 40 seconds later, she stands up and walks to her manager.

" About the dinner tomorrow... I forgot I had something on."

"Couldn't you postpone it?"

"I can't"

"But this is your big chance."

He gives her a look of exasperation but she returns him with her usual stubborn look.

"I'll have to wait for another then."

Her 5 minutes is up and she walks away just like that and returning back to work.

Just like the professional actress she was supposed to be.
---

Somewhere in certain restaurant, a waiter leads a girl to her reserved seat.

She didn't have to wait long til another girl came and sat on the seat opposite of her.

Before the other girl could greet, she's already shot a question.

"You got heartbroken again didn't you?"

Straightforward. Just as always.

"Is that the first thing you have to say to me when we've not met for so long?"

"Rena-chan don't avoid the question~"

"...I did"

The waiter comes and serves them their meal before Rena had any chance to look at the menu.

It was the restaurant's signature dish. A dish that was spicy and absolutely had no meat.

She takes a bite and her eyes widened a little with joy.
The look of happiness that appears when people eat something they really like.

She had everything prepared.

"You always come crying to me when you get rejected."

Jurina spoke, after a while, when they were at least half done with their meal.
As if she was choosing the right moment to say that.

A bite.

"...I noticed"
"I'm really sorry to impose on you all the time, even though you've not been back at the radio station after all these years."

"It's okay."

She didn't think she could stand it.

Not if going back meant that she had to see Rena go head over heels with someone each time.

Even after she's built up all these acting experiences over the year it was still hard to smile at her and wish her "good luck" everytime when all she wanted to do was to curse at the other party and hope that it didn't turn out well.

A few mouthfuls.

"Even though you're really busy acting in all the films and trying to become an outstanding actress again"

"I'm not that busy."

There was no tell tale signs of a lie.

"So feel free to call on me anytime if you need someone."

"Thank you."

They both stared at the remains of the food on their plates awkwardly. Neither sure how to continue the conversation.

"Shall we have dessert?"

"Yes. Yes. That's a good idea."

She waves her hand and signals to the waiter.

A small strawberry shortcake was placed on the table with a candle on it.

Rena's eyes widens once again that night.
But this time, she wasn't eating anything at the moment.

"You remembered!"

"Yup."

"I've forgotten about it myself."
"Even if Rena-chan forgets, it's okay. I'll be there to remember it for you."

"Jurina is always this direct"

A laugh.
Because she knows that if she's that direct as she claims things wouldn't be like that now.

"Jurina, are you happy?"

She breathes in.

"Yes."

And then she pushes the plate towards her.

"Make a wish."

"I don't need to."
"It's already been fulfilled."

"I'll make a wish then."

"Wishes don't work this way!"

She ignores the other girl and blows her candle out.

"What was Jurina's wish?"

"What was Rena-chan's wish?"

"To have someone who would always remember things for me when I forget~"

"Rena-chan! Tell me!"

"I'll only say it if you say what your wish was"

"But wishes don't come true when you say it!"

"Then I'm not telling."

"Are you happy?"

"Yes."

"It was for you to be happy. What was Rena-chan's wish?"

"For everyone in the radio station to be happy."

While she has indeed grew and matured across the years, there are some parts of the heart that remains small as ever.
She believes in karma and feels that someone like her would never be able to attain the happiness everyone else has.

Her wish was for the person she liked to be happy.
Because I know that I'll never be.

It's 2nd September.
It's been a year since team puro....

---

#34 One year - Nanparu (Shimazaki Haruka X Mori Anna)

One year ago, she searched online and saved her photos.

One year later, she searches online and saves her photos.

One year ago, they subscribed to each other's mail.

One year later, she subscribes to hers alone.

She does not say anything about it, as if its some sort of magic spell.
as if by not admitting it she can continue to pretend as if nothing happened.
as if everything was still the same.

Although it is not.

She is stubborn.
She is introverted.
She keeps everything to herself without a prince to spoil her.

She has to grow.
And so she does.

It is such events that allow one to mature.
For what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

---

One year ago she received a huge shock.

One year later, she receives another shock.

She has grown in the past year. She understands why this must be done.

There are Antis out there.
There are people who do not know of their existence.
There are people who think that this team is pointless.
There are people who do not know the hard work they've put in.
How they started out. How much they tried to gain recognition.
The uncertainty they felt when using "I am from Team 4" in their self introduction.
How much they wanted to be acknowledged as a team.

But not everyone sees it that way.
They only see them as kenkyuusei. As if they were not full fledged members just like the others.
Because, how, despite, being a full member, they had to be "unders" for other team's performance.

But they grit their teeth and continue. This only makes them stronger. They would not give up.

They work even harder.

But all has gone to waste.

She learns and she understands that in order to survive in this world, there are some things that cannot be said.

So she doesn't say them.

But the heart is different. What doesn't come out of her mouth has once again ended up being shown in another way.

In her mind, she thinks she has calmed down and continues to look indifferent.

But on this new stage, with all the familiar members, to sing a song that they've wanted to.

The familiar moves, the familiar tune, the familiar words she utters as she sings and dance.

With the familiar people who've been beside her.

She realised that tears was falling.

She was crying.

Not entirely because of their efforts in vain.
Not entirely because they would have one lesser chance to perform this.
Not entirely because they were no longer a team.

But because.

Deep inside her, there was a small glimmer of hope.

There was someone else who has yet to return.

Someone, who used to be beside her.
Someone, who said that she might return.

But right now.

The small glimmer of hope in her has died together with the sun.

Because there was no longer a home for her to return to anymore.

Original request was for Jurina/Sayaka, but it was alright to write Sayamilky instead.
So i took the easy way out. m(_ _)m

#35 - Ice skating rink - sayamilky

---

In a small city, there were cinemas, shopping centers, supermarkets and more.
There were some students who didn't head home straight after school. They had their favourite haunts that they liked to frequent.
The students from this school was not an exception either.

Just like any high-school girl out there, she goes to school, attends club activities and then goes home.

But every Wednesday, she drops by the skating rink and rents a pair of skates and gloves.

The skating rink is cold but she doesn't bring a change of clothes. She's in her school uniform. It's summer and her uniform is short sleeved.

Although the cold affects her, she doesn't seem to mind as she steps onto the rink.

At this time of the day, there are only a few of them skating.
Or at the very least, trying to skate.

She doesn't have to wait long before a certain short hair girl makes her way towards her.

"Aren't you cold?"

"It's a trouble to bring a change of clothing," she laughs and shakes it off.

The crew member stretches out her hand and she grabs it.

They take a single step at a time, slowly.

Each time, she teaches her patiently.

1 hour 55 minutes later, when her session has nearly ended, they would always end it this way.

She would ask the other girl to hold on to her hands tightly, as she skated along the ring quickly, somewhat, dragging her along.

And then, she brings her safely to the exit, holding her hand all the time.

She thanks her and smiles, saying that she was a great teacher and would drop by again next week.

---
There are many reasons for one to like a particular place and she agrees.
There were many reasons for her to love the ice-skating rink.
But only one mattered the most.
---

They met by chance.

Her classmate, who heard of a certain place that served good yakiniku from her friends in the class next door brought her to this area. A place that she's never been before.

It was one and a half hour train ride from her school.

It was then did she realise that an indoor rink existed here.

That was when she met her.

The first time she entered the rink, Yamamoto Sayaka greeted her warmly.

She introduced herself and offered to help if she needed any.

"I'm Watanabe Miyuki."

And she showered her with all her attention, like she was her teacher.

"Do you work here every day?"

"Nope. I'm a part-timer. I'm only here on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday."

And so she only came on Wednesdays. Not any other day. Even when she was free.

"How should I thank you?"

"You don't have to. It's my job," and she smiles at her.

"Thanks for teaching me. And for keeping me warm."

On a Thursday two weeks later, that same friend asks her out once again.

"I can't make it today. I've got an ice-skating competition coming right up."

"Another time then~ Wouldn't want you to break your three year winning streak because of me."

--

Because the only time she gets to hold the hand of the person she likes openly is at the ice skating rink.

---
AN:
Yes. Watanabe Miyuki was lying all along about not knowing how to skate.
