AWESOME! I love Cherie
Cherie Chung doesn't need romance to be happyHONG KONG: Former Hong Kong film actress Cherie Chung, who lost her husband advertising guru Mike Chu to stomach cancer four years ago, declared that she would not fall in love again in a recent magazine interview, reported Hong Kong media.
"He (Mike Chu) was such a perfect man, who else could be better than him?" said Chung, during her first formal media interview in three years.
The 51-year-old former actress added that she is too old for romance and is not someone who falls in love easily.
Chung expressed that her late husband Chu will be her only love this lifetime.
"I am blessed with all the love and concern showered [upon me] by the people around me. I do not need to enter another relationship to stay happy," said Chung.
When asked about the possibility of her making a comeback, Chung, who retired from showbiz in 1994, said it isn't going to happen.
"Those directors who approached me to star in their films should know that I won't take up their offer," said Chung.
"I feel that the scripts are not suitable for me and I am not moved by the stories."
"Shooting a film is a great sacrifice. You have to face the media, make changes to your life. I enjoy my life now, away from showbiz," she added.
Chung was one of the most popular Hong Kong actresses in the 80's and 90's, starring opposite Chow Yun-fat in the award-winning 1987 film "An Autumn's Tale" and Leslie Cheung in 1991's "Once a Thief".

Translated by: mv_288 @ AsianFanaticsin fact, I copped a bunch of her movies lately...all the ones where she's naked!
Hong Kong, Hong Kong (1983) award winning movie...she plays a Mainland Chinese woman coming to Hong Kong, meets a kickboxer in Alex Man but is forced to marry a much older, yet stabler local entrepeneur. Plenty of sideboob and back, white panties too.
First time meeting Alex Man, barging in her shower
Forced to fuck Kwan Hoi-san
Then passionately fucks Alex Man later...
Cherie (1984)she so famous, the movie named after her! but it's some kinda caper movie with Tony Leung Ka-fai. Admire that breast!
Maybe It's Love (1984) gotta love the 80s, tanned skin and tight leotards
Cherrie is this wannabe celeb and the postman keeps trying to flirt with her.
Finally she gives into the fling.
but trouble is afoot!!!!
Then she plays a flirtatious woman who causes Chow Yun-fat to separate from his wife and kids, all boobs hanging out and getting naked whenever.
or a sexy Genie from
My Darling GenieThen there's her more serious work....she's done like 50+ movies, so there's gotta be the good and the bad.
Watched "An Autumn's Tale" from 1987, a pretty corny / romantic film, set in New York Chinatown. LOL @ the white guys in this, I think they were dubbed.
pretty weird, I swore they were cousins, albeit distant.
But Chow Yun-fat's "Figurehead" character is one of those hardworking manly men, who likes to gamble and drink but wants to win over the sophisticated bitch. He does it, but he's a goof.
SAMPAN! You gotta watch it, for the corniness alone.
GODDAMN Cherie Chung is so fucking gorgeous. No wonder she retired. See her also in "To Catch A Thief" with Leslie, A John Woo Production
and Johnnie To's debut The Story of Woo Viet (1981) and Postman Strikes Back (1981) that you gotta check out. Well, I do. Lotsa classics here!
