岸辺の旅



Kishibe no Tabi /  - English title: Journey to the Shore
was screened at Cannes earlier this year, and is now set to
open in Japan on First of October.

In this film, directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa, Eri Fukatsu plays a woman
whose husband (Tadanobu Asano) disappeared three years previously
and suddenly returns. He then takes his wife on a tour of where he has been,
and introduces her to the people who helped him during his exile....
(And yes, the lovely and talented Yu Aoi lends her skills to the film)

Most construction company CM's feature a teenage girl when advertising new homes or "Reform" (remodel)....
Appealing to families that now have enough income to take a step up in the home rental>ownership ladder (and by now
their oldest child might be in middle school)....

Daiwa House has taken a different approach, they go after the DINK (double income no kids)
demographic, and with talented Eri san and Lily Franky taking the leads, the CM series has the feel of a dramatic
film:

“Survival Family”, released earlier this year, is a really interesting and heartwarming story about a family confronting life without any electrical power - nationwide.
