Its 11th anniversary go see it anyway lol.
Its a chance that this may be my first H!P concert. If i can get to it. They'll probably sell out before I'm sure if i can go though.

So I was thinking, if the rumors are actually true about Ogawa returning this winter, this would be the PERFECT event for her to come back to. Then there really could be a fifth gen reunion. :heart:
Anyway, despite the fact that some singles really won't be the same at all, I'm really curious to hear some of them with the new line-up. Particulary Joshi Kashimashi Monogatari. I hope they decided to not do it like the single, and give everyone their own verse like the 2nd and 3rd version. Other singles I'm looking forward to hearing with this line up are Koi no Dance Site and AS FOR ONE DAY. :D

I hope they throw in some OGs for this. Some singles I won't listen too without certain members. I never want to see Mr. Moonlight without Yossi. (Junjun would probably work in that song though XD )

i'm excited....in a scared way of excitement. I can't really imagine Mr. Moonlight without Yossie, Roman without Miki, As for One Day without Aibon and Mari. And unfortunately this morning musume generation is not the best vocaly, i guess everybody agrees on that. So i'm excited to see how much it'll look diferent, to see if the girls can prove themselves...but at the same time i'm terribly scared that they'll screw up some historical songs of momusu. But hey, there's always those painful (for us) playback concerts to save h!p when it's needed. XD

Obviously the songs will never sound the same but yeah it generates great expectation (in the fans at least) also there is a group of singles that are not performed live in a very long time so as i say expectation is great and that is becouse you want it to hear the new sound but you are afraid of a massive destruction (in vocal terms of course)
Well Joshi Kashimashi Monogatari is the only song that i can really expect anything, i mean it need totally new lyrics right? so it was going to be the 4 version? OMG ... and the songs i expect to hear the most are Mr moonlight without Yossi and GoMaki and Nacchi T___T and also THE manpower with only Ai and without Yossi ToT
Oh and i hope they perform Hello to you but since is a 10th ann song then probably not and thats too bad because is a good song, i like it pretty much

I have a question about JKM. For JKM 3, is Koharu's verse from there the same one used in the concert versions for JKM 2?
Anyway! Wow.. Single Daizenshuu. That's gonna be a LONG setlist. XD

I'm torn about this.
On the one hand, I giggle (in a good way) at the though of this lineup performing something like Summer Night Town.
On the other hand, this indicates a revival of Hyokkori Hyoutanjima, and I'm just not sure I can live with that.

How can they possibly do all the singles.. All the singles non stop take at least 2 and a half hour.. add 5 talks to that and the concert will last forever.. Not that I don't like the idea of all singles in one show, but it seems a bit too long?

Only if they're performing full-length versions, right? If you take into account that they cut down songs and put them into medleys, you could make it fit into two hours.
Plus for the last summer H!P concert DVD, I had the distinct impression that they sped up the tempo for some of the songs. (Did anyone else get that feeling?) If time became an issue, they might do something like that too.
And for the record, I'd like to say that Hyokkori Hyoutanjima didn't annoy me as much in the 2006 Winter Wonderful Hearts concert. I wonder why...

Yeah, I believe in medley and that they won't play all the singles.
Probably be lika a "best singles" with like 10-20 of the A-songs.
But who knows, except Tsunku, maybe it will be all singles but then the old members that are still in H!P must participate!!

It'd be amazing if they managed to get ALL ex-MM members to participate and have each single performed by it's original lineup. It's never gonna happen though.

Especially with JunJun and LinLin. I feel like I haven't got to see enough of their potential (considering they might as well not have been involved with Mikan considering they didn't get a line. Period.) and I think this just may be the concert that it happens. :heart:

I'm interested to see most of the songs done by this line up. If they do Mr. Moonlight (though it would bother me w/o Yossi), I'd still love to see Junjun in the lead XD

Awesome, this could potentially be an awesome concert. Dunno why so many people want the old members back for this, the whole reason this is gonna be so interesting is to see the older songs performed by the current lineup.

And i loved that manatsu no kousen, one of the highlights of that concert!

I really want to see these 9 girls perform the older songs that aren't/haven't been used in AGES by these girls to see what they're capable of. Sure, the songs aren't gonna be as good as the originals or even past lineups, but I think that's my favorite part of these concerts MM does. The lineup is ever changing, so we never see the same songs done the same exact way. Now that Miki and Yossi are gone, the lineups are still gonna be waaaay different.
We haven't seen their first few singles in the longest time. I really hope they don't do their latest singles, and maybe stick with the past stuff. Or make like two medleys (the one they already have made! The Golden Era songs), and do half songs and such. The only singles they've done with this line up out of all 35 singles so far is the two most recent singles, Kanashimi, Sexy Boy, Shabondama, Go Girl, and Ambitious. I can't really picture Mr. Moonlight with this group, though :lol: Takahashi would be one of the choices, but the last time she did the song, she then got kicked out of that lead and was replaced with Ogawa (which was the wiser choice) :lol: If they had to do the song, though, I think Takahashi, Niigaki, Junjun, and Mitsui would be fine as leads. The other five wouldn't do so well :-X
I do agree that this group would be the weakest ever doing the older songs and doing them well, but all I've ever seen them perform lately is the newer songs or ones they've never performed before, and I'd like to see them do a different style than their used to.

Yeah, isn't that the whole point of MoMusu and other large idol groups that constantly change their lineup? That new lineups keep the group fresh and interesting? I love the older/ex-members just as much as many H!P fans do, but that doesn't mean I dislike the newer members and constantly gripe about them, unlike many members of a certain other board. I don't go "ZOMG THIS LINEUP'S SO GONNA BUTCHER [insert favorite 1998-2002 song here], NO1 SHULD EVAR SING TAHT SONG EXCEPT THE ORIGINAL LINEUP!!!1111!!!!".
Though it would be kind of cool to invite some older members, let's not write off the newer members entirely. At the very least, listen to the fan recordings when they come out and THEN you can evaluate whether they are horribdoinky or not.

Hopefully, simply for the fact it would be retarded for them not to; we may have had three versions already but it won't really make much sense for them to sing an older version now will it? I'd be perfectly happy with a new version...unless of course we get it as a single release that is...

I find it interesting that Michishige has solo Furusato while Eri has solo Namida. o.O Based on past concerts and such, we all know that Michishige has sung Namida quite well, so why the change? o.O
Anyways, the rest of the setlist seems great as is. Interesting to note is that every (tentative) song in this concert was the A-track. o.O

I'm really excited for As For One Day. It's one of my favorite MM songs and that line-up makes me all sort of giddy!
I just hope Junjun and Linlin don't get left in the dust in this one (i.e. only singing in like two songs, save the choruses). I'd like to see both of them in Morning Coffee. That would be ultimate win.
-edit- Except I just realized those numbers meant generations... so yeah. Too bad Hyokkori Hyoutan-jima is pretty much my least favorite single. Ah well. I think they'll do a good job.
Also, while I know Mr. Moonlight will never be the same, that line-up looks to be pretty awesome.

I'm happy that they gave Sayu Miki's solos in Aruiteru because you can tell she loves that song. Also, the new arrangements for Furusato, Namida, Memory, and Manatsu are beautiful. Aichan's solos for BOTH Do It! Now and Mr. Moonlight are AMAZING. At least she can pull Mr. Moonlight off.

Omg sayu's furusato was so nice!!! I was never a really big fan of her but now wow I am liking her! Kamei's solo was like perfect for her voice. Ai-chan totally rocked do it now and mr moon light! I love MM :wub:

Man, they have so many of my favourite songs at the beginning that I'm worried what the rest of the concert will feel like!
I'm quite happy with which songs they decided to put in medleys. They're mostly songs that we've already heard performed tons of times, or songs that weren't their strongest singles (like Chokkan)

Sayu & Kamei sang short versions (with different arrangements from the originals) of their songs, and Memory Seishun had more hip-hop feeling than the original (the rap was different too).
Resonant Blue sounds amazing live.

Really quick commentary from someone who went to the evening 3/22 concert.
Will be updated later, probably. (done!) My memory may be fuzzy, as I was really tired... went straight from NY-JP plane to train to concert, plus it's been a day. I haven't read the thread, so not sure what's been said already.
01. Resonant Blue
the outfits were reversed from the single ones - reina & ai were wearing black, etc.
02. Onna ni Sachi Are

introductions. Linlin talked about the olympics for some reason, linlin talked about being in mm for a year already or something.
03. Egao YES Nude
new outfits. iroppoi jirettai-ish, v. similar to the iroppoi ones from morning curry.
04. Iroppoi Jirettai
during the pair dance, reina was by herself. she looked sort of silly imho, but better than i expected - must have been the poofy dress.
05. Osaka Koi no Uta
aika got the talking part, jun and lin got short solo lines, right after each other (this is a pattern that holds sadly true for the whole concert). as for lines... eri got a lot of mikitty's, i think. risa got the line before her original line, too.

absolutely stunning.

the four solos were short versions. back vocals came in a while into the song. it was basically 5&6 gen.
15. As For One Day / All (Speech by Sayumi, Leads are Eri, Linlin, and Linlin)
risa once again got the lines before her short line. i didn't see that much pandas... but the line distribution, for once, was more even than the original! wow~

new outfits! schoolgirl-style red plaid skirts, striped shirts, white boots, and pirate hats/bandanas. koharu had this adorable little pirate hat set askew that fell off~ koharu did the opening monologue, jun the "morning musume de gozaimasu~" nose-holding part (not too well imho, but whatever).
18. Morning Coffee / 5&6 gen
the plaid skirts, white boots, and white shirts. pretty good. sayumi got a solo line.

this transition was graet - so much that i didn't even mind that my favorite single was in a medley! it was like... um... souda souda ue ue souda souda sexy ue ue, if you know what i mean... really graet splitting of the dance.

this was done via a "lottery" wheel on the screen - aika did a verse, then the chorus was done several times.
* Go Girl ~Koi no Victory~
MC / Risa, Kamei, Linlin, Linlin
pretty funny MC. junlin were saying things in chinese, and gakikame were translating (junlin did a hilarious freeze during the translation), then vice versa, then switched off again a few times... and then Linlin said something in japanese and gaki replied in chinese~
20. THE Manpower!!

i was surprised, we were only chanting for an encore for a couple of minutes... i thought it would be longer. anyway, brown boots, jeans skirt or shorts with frilly blue things on either side, and pink or blue t-shirts with the member's name on them and a red M on the left sleeve. i'm pretty sure junlin got lines.

aika did the ending "love machine". the crowd was psyched, of course!
I made corrections to the earlier posted setlist, indisquirreled by italics.
There were, I think, 6-8 outfits... it seemed like a lot more than usual (I didn't list them all, mainly because I couldn't remember clearly...). I remember there were four sets of boots, total... =.= Nothing but boots, actually. Costume changes are edited pretty heavily on DVDs, it seems, because they're really noticable on stage - people just run in ten seconds into songs... -__-;
The stage had these box thingies, which had some awesome lights~ I'm not sure if the boxes were the tour's set or part of the concert hall's stage.
The medleys, I thought were generally handled well. A few cool transitions were nice, and a lot of the transitions were a significant pause, so it was really more like two short versions of songs than a real medley.
I was expecting one, but there was no line for goods! Then again, I got there 15 minutes before the concert started, so a lot of people were already inside, I guess... Speaking of goods, L shirts are really big, but S shirts are probably really small... which is really annoying.

Feel free to ask me questions, I guess. I was in such an elated daze that I might not remember, though.... :lol:
the bottom line: RESONANT BLUE IS SMEXY. (am i allowed to say that? xD)

I think the concert was actually lots of fun to listen to!! (Thanks to Nouciel for the links) It made me realize I really do like most of Momusu's singles, even if I may not have been a huge fan at the time of the release. And I think Resonant Blue makes a great live song!
Because the setlist on the previous page lacks I WISH, I was like WHOA when it started (I knew the song was there, but just not at which point), and my eyes got a bit teary. :lol: I love that song so much. My only complaint is that it should've been the full song, not included in a medley where the following song is Happy Summer Wedding! Talk about killing the mood!
With that being said, it almost felt like I enjoyed this concert more listening to it than I would if I saw it on DVD. Well, we'll see :3

I find it interesting that Michishige has solo Furusato while Eri has solo Namida. o.O Based on past concerts and such, we all know that Michishige has sung Namida quite well, so why the change? o.O

I'm more than halfway through the concert, and it is definitely kickass. The only thing that bothered me was that the hip thrusts in THE Manpower weren't very thrusty. It was like a light hump, so to speak. I wanted major all on THRUST action. Oh well.
The setlist is indeed amazing because it is all singles, but the way it was arranged made all the transitions beautifully done. The concert is REALLY long too. Almost 2 hours exactly. No bonus features though...
The one thing I have to comment was on the solos for the 5th and 6th Gen. They were fucking amazing. Aichan doing Do it! Now then BRILLIANTLY doing Mr. Moonlight was fucking win. The pimp hat and her whole essence just made her want to sing the whole thing. Then Sayu with Furusato. I have to say, even though I'm pretty sure some cleaning up was done in the post-production process, Sayu still sounds really good. I know on the first day she cracked and couldn't hit the high notes, but she did really well with it on the DVD version. Then Eri with Namida. I have to say, this made me want to listen to Namida and not want to turn it off. Eri sings it beautifully and the arrangement is so nice. Reina with Memory sounded really good too! The new arrangements are indeed awesome! Finally, Risa with Manatsu. I like how they stuck with the piano piece in the beginning then transitioned to the original arrangement. And Risa with all the girls on harmony was pure win. Sorry for the long ass post, this concert is really good!
On a side note, Linlin uses her "real" voice in this concert! :D
EDIT: And I think this has to be the concert with the most costume changes. They change outfits like every three songs. x.x

She totally did the song justice. In fact all of the solos were awesome :wub: Some of the outfits raised my brows the first time I saw the concert but after that they didn't look so bad. I guess that's the power of the girls, you grow to love everything about them XD

This concert is so much better than the bomb kyu tour. Hooray for that, seriously, I was worried about the end of MM. Killer setlist ofcourse, cool outfits, nice variety. Looove the 6th gen solo songs XD Morning Coffee was great too, Michishige put so much effort in it.. just great, really. I think I'll actually buy this DVD!

i agree, not nearly enough thrusting in manpower.
eri reminded me a lot of miki during the concert. AND SEXY BEAM AMAGAD.
and i loved the medleys. the solos were great too, was gutted when furusato and houkago ended :< manatsu no kousen is one of my favourites and risa rocked it. she always looks so happy!
but junjun and linlin aren't getting nearly enough love!

But Bon Kyu was meeh, kinda boring and ugly costumes. I was worried that this was the future of MM.

This concert was so awesome :heart: I loved the solos. I usually don't expect much from Sayu, but wow I was impressed with her Furusato. She's really improved. Ai and Risa's solos killed me. The only thing that could have made this better (for me) was more of the 8th gen. Overall, excellent :cow:

Wow... overall, this concert was really, really good. I agree with most of what has been said so far. It was awesome to see them perform some of the older singles like Summer Night Town and Morning Coffee (it was nice getting to hear them harmonize).
Sayumi has improved so much. She may still not be the strongest singer, she was really solid in this concert. She must have worked hard. The quality of the singing in general was good, they all did great on their solos.
Ai-chan's Mr. Moonlight was pimp-ilicious and fun, but agree that they should have had 2 of the girls do the "wingmen" parts. As awesome as Ai's voice is, the lines seemed a little monotonous with her singing all of them.
I didn't really care for the medleys... but that's just a personal preference, they were well done and all. And, 8th gen really does need more lines, I think they can handle it (I think Ai-chan has a few to spare :P ).

I think Mittsi did get her appendix removed. If you look during The Peace, she has a piece of flesh colored cloth covering her belly button area and she's the only one who had it. She did have something wrong with her appendix right?

Due to having acute appendicitis, Mitsui Aika was absent from the concerts on April 12th and 13th. The concert DVD was filmed on May 18, 2008 at Tokyo Welfare Meeting Hall.

by far the best concert I've seen from this generation of musumes.
Eri was really cute in namida and that's her first time performing that song solo I think.
Sorry to yossi but I think ai chan did a better mr moonlight for THIS performance. Her winks and smiles were spot on.
Most of all the girls performed to their potential even for the younger generation. They really entertained the audience and that's the most important for me. On top of ylthat everyone looks happy.

I've just rewatched it (about the 700th time?) and (I can't believe I'm saying this.. BUT) I wish they would re-record some of the old singles with the current members. They don't seem so dated when sung by this lineup!

I was watching this concert this morning and I noticed something interesting about the costumes the girls are wearing starting at Koi no Dance Site. The patterns on them actually form the first letters of their initials!
A for Ai, N for Niigaki, E for Eri, S for Sayumi, T for Tanaka, K (a little misformed) for Kusumi, M for Mitsui, J for Jun Jun, and L for Lin Lin.
Anyway, I thought this concert was pretty awesome. When I heard that they were going to do one of all their singles, I kind of expected it to be a somewhat boring concert with all the same canned backing music we've all heard a million times already. Since this was the concert they took overseas, I should have known better that they'd spend extra effort in making it good with all those new arrangements and something like 11 sets of costumes. This was definitely one of their better productions.
